"Vect-OOOR!" Victor the Crocodile roared at the top of his lungs. He absolutely hated calling his son that name. He originally named him after himself, after all But that was far back, before he knew What a disappointment Victor Jr. would become. He much preferred the new name he had given himself lately,
'Vector'.

God, what a hoodlum name... But then again, he was ashamed to have given his name to such an ungrateful little bastard. The teenaged crocodile grit his teeth fiercely as his overbearing father barged into his bedroom without a single knock. "What is it, Dad?'

"WHY were you not at the interview today?!" Victor screeched, "Do you not realize how hard it was to convince the bosses to see you? How many strings I had to pull?!"

Vector slammed the pause button on his walkman and jumped to his feet. "I told ya, I'm not interested in that line o' work!" he shouted, "I made it pretty clear I wasn't gonna go."

"And I made it perfectly clear that if you skipped out, I was gonna strangle ya!"

Vector foolishly got right up to his father's face. "All right then!" he snorted, "Do it! Kill me, old man!"

The elder crocodile snarled, shook his fist... but didn't put his hands on his son. As much as they argued and shouted, he never once struck Vector in his lifetime.

"I knew it." Vector turned and sneered, "Y'ain't got the guts to take me on."

"You should consider yourself lucky I restrained myself.."

"Psh!" the cocky teenager seethed, "You know you couldn't take me on..

"Just because you're taller than me doesn't mean I ain't stronger!" Victor growled.

"Y 'wanna bet, old man?"

"Don't tempt me, boy!"

"Guys, stop it! STOP IT!" a female crocodile got in between the two and pushed them gently away from each other, "Can't you go through ONE night without a shoutfest?!"

"I wouldn't mind," Victor crossed his arms, "If only this DEADBEAT would stop being so damn disrespectful!"

"Yer one to talk!" Vector shouted, "Y'always insult me over every little thing I do! God forbid I BREATHE the wrong way!"

"If you weren't always such a SCREW UP, maybe l'd have more respect for you!"

"If you didn't have abnormally high expectations, maybe I might TRY to do something you want me to do!"

"High?! I simply expect you to be SMART and
productive! If you consider THAT high, then you're just a lazy idiot!"

"You expect me to literally be a mini-version of YOU! Why can't you just back off and let me be me?!"

"If I let you be you, you'd be braindead within a week! Then again, I wonder if it's already too late!"

"Come say that to my face, ya jackass!"

The two stomped towards each other, but Victoria, Vector's mother and Victor's wife, remained in the middle in an attempt to keep them seperated. "That's enough!" she cried, "Now can we PLEASE discuss! What's bothering you both CIVILLY?"

"I just wanna be left alone!" Vector shouted, "But Jackass here has to get on my case over every little thing!"

"Dammit, Vector, I just wanted you to prepare you for the real world!" Victor shouted back, "But you never take anything seriously!"

"I would if you gave me some space!"

"Sure, that'll be the day. Moment I leave you alone, you'll probably be knee-high on drugs or something!"

"Now see here, ya-!"

"That is IT!" Victoria screamed, "I can't take it anymore! Your screaming at one another, your blaming one another, your unwillingness to see eye to eye. Something has to stop! And I want something done TONIGHT!" She tore out of Vector's bedroom and into her own, slamming the door shut.

"Now look what you did," Victor growled, You upset your mother!"

"I'm sure YOU had a hand in it too, Pop!"

"Don't you go blaming me for this, you ingrate!"

"Oh sure, blame it ALL on me, like you always do!"

"If you weren't such a lazy, idiotic child, you wouldn't be putting us BOTH through the wringer!" Victor screamed, "For once in your stupid life, do something useful!"

"As long as I don't have to literally be 'Victor Junior' I'd say that's pretty damn useful in itself!"

*WHACK!*

For the first time in his life, Victor struck Vector.. Hard, in the face, with his rock-like fist. The teen was stunned for a moment, but quickly recovered, and slammed a fist of his own onto his father. For a tall but scrawny teen, Vector was able to knock his old man to his back. Victor was stunned himself... But then glared at his son fiercely.

"'Y'want another round, Old man?"

... Get out..."

"What..?"

"I SAID GET OUT!"Victor scrambled to his feet and shouted into his son's face, "I gave you life, I raised you, I try to steer you straight, and THIS is how you pay me?!"

"You hit me first, you ass!"

"Well if I'm such a horrible person, then LEAVE!" Victor backed his way out of his son's room, "If you hate me that much, fine! I'm frankly not fond of you either, especially the way you turned out. Pack your things, and GET OUT!!!"

"Fine by me!" Vector screamed as he slammed his bedroom door shut.

"Vectoor!" Victoria cried, running out the front door before her son could get too far. "Wait! Please don't go!"

"Sorry, Mom," Vector sighed, "But y'heard Dad. He ain't wanting me under his roof."

"If you would just apologize, I'm sure he'll let you back in."

The teen shook his head. "No way!" he said, "I ain't apologizing to that ass! Besides, I'd rather be homeless than share a roof with him."

Victoria took a hold of her son's hands.

"Please, Vector.." she whimpered, "You're my son, but he's my husband. I don't want to have to choose between you two."

"Then I'll make it easier on you," Vector grumbled, "I'm out."

"Please don't leave me, son..!"

Vector looked down at his mother and sighed. Victoria was always such a sweet, bubbly woman.  He hated seeing her upset. But he hated his father more. And at the very least, he treated her right.

"I'm sorry, Mom," he said, squeezing her hands, "But I just ain't happy here... I ain't been happy for a long time. I love you, Mom, but if I stay in that house another minute." He paused to glare fiercely at his father, standing close to the doorway, returning an equally harsh glare.

"... with him... I might do something I know
I'll regret."

Victoria lowered her head, and Vector could see a tear escape from her eye. "I guess there's no stopping you, huh?" raid not.."

"Well then, come here, son...." She grabbed Vector around his shoulders and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Just remember to call me now and then...." She reached up and gently pulled back his earphones, "And I just slipped you a few hundred mobiums behind your walkman..." she whispered Vector pulled back with a greedy grin. "Thanks, Mom!"

Victoria planted a kiss on his snout. "Just be careful out there, you hear me?" she said, "The world is much bigger than you believe."

"Can't wait to see it, then!" the croc grinned as he hoisted his duffle bag over his shoulder. He gave his mother one last hug before heading down the street. He didn't dare look back. Of course, even with his headphones on, he could still hear his father's obnoviouxly loud voice bellowing out,

"I'd give him three days before he comes sniveling back A week, at most!"

Vector was determined to prove that jerk wrong, and NEVER come back.

15 YEARS LATER...

"Dear Lord... Hey Victoria, come in here and check this out!"

The female crocodile came in from the kitchen, with a dish still in hand, still washing up from dinner.

"What is it?"

"Check out the TV." Victor pointed, "Look at all that robot armada... Can you believe it? They say it may have been another robot invasion from Dr. Eggman. Can you imagine what might've happened if actually succeeded?"

Victoria didn't look too phased. "Oh well. As long as Sonic the Hedgehog and the JL is around to protect us, I'm not horribly worried."

"And you say this wasn't a ploy from Dr. Eggman himself?" the news reporter asked on TV.

"Nope. Completely innocent this time," a familiar voice answered.

Victoria froze. That voice.

"Well, I mean, not COMPLETELY innocent...
The creep got away without paying us after all we did for him."

Victor squinted his eyes at the television. "Hm. That guy. He looks familiar."

"And you personally witnessed what happened in the sky?" asked the reporter.

"Witnessed it? We were part o' the action! We helped save the day, y know!"

"Pfft ..." Victor spat, "How much you wanna bet he's lying? Lousy mooch. He sort of reminds me of-"

"VECTOR!"Victoria squealed, nearly causing her husabnd to fall out of his chair, "it's VECTOR!"

"What? Are you sure?"

"A mother knows her son, dear."

"Come on, that can't possibly be-"

"And your names are.?"

"Vector the Crocodile. Head of Team Chaotix Detective Agency." Vector said.

"It IS him!" Victoria cried, "Oh my goodness! Look how much he's grown!"

Victor sighed. "Sheesh... Changed on the outside, but pretty much the same inside."

The reporter turned back to the camera. "And there you have it. First count testimony to what could have been a lethal, dangerous—"

"And speaking of Team Chaotix!"Vector interupted, "We're a group of amatuer but professional private eyes! Located on the east side of Central City, near Coast City! Come find us if you need our services!"

The reporter angrily ripped her microphone away before continuing with her story, while Vector could be heard in the background boasting to his "boys" about getting free publicity.

Victor shook his head. "What a joke."

"He gave his location..." Victoria breathed, clasping her hands together,.. I finally know where he is!"

"Victoria, give it a rest," Victor groaned, "If he didn't give you his location before, he probably doesn't want you to know where he is."

"Then he shouldn't have been so careless!" Victoria chimed and twisted towards her husband, "You know where Central City is, don't you?! Come on, let's go see our son!"

"Can't you just wait for him to call you this weekend?" Victor asked.

"He may call every Sunday, but I haven't seen him in five years! And clearly a lot has happened since!" Victoria argued back.

Victoria dropped to her knees and curled up tp her husband on his chair, "Oh pretty please, Vick, please take me to see him?"

Victor glared at his wife... but she had that dopey, innocent face that he always ended up caving in to. And besides, he was curious on what nonsense Vector has gotten himself into since.

"Oh all right." he sighed, "We'll leave first thing tomorrow morning."

Central City

In one of the apartment buildings, sat a mobian crocodile wearing a fedora, a gold chain necklace in his chair in front of his desk as there was silence. The only sound that can be heard was the fan spinning and the noise outside city.

"The Detective life is a hard one. The jobs are tough, and—Actually, I don't have a case right now. But when I do, they're tough. Sometimes. The streets are mean and full of hoodlums—Well, okay, they're not bad kids. They're just noisy. And there's that calf on the corner, the one with the raspberry filled pastries that—uh I mean... Yeah, it's a tough life, but I'm a tough guy. Years of rough work made me this way. Even times are tough, I...I... um... jeez, this noir stuff is hard. Might need a thesaurus. Next paycheck. I'll put that on the list. Uh, anyway... so... a classy dame walks in..."

"I'm sorry, what?"

"GAK!" Vector exclaimed as he snapped out of his monologue. A person indeed walked in, but it was a man, not a woman.

"This... this is the detective agency, isn't it?" The man asked.

"Yes! Yes it is! Welcome, mr...?" Vector said.

"Dr. Isaac Jones. Scientist of Stark Industries." Isaac said.

"I'm Vector—Detective Vector! The best detective in the city-er-anywhere! How can we help, Doctor?" Vector said.

"I'm looking for a missing person... well, it's possible she's been kidnapped." Dr. Isaac said as he shows him a picture of a young woman.

"This is my sister, Dr. Ashley Jones. She and I had been working together at Stark Industries for years now. But then a couple of weeks ago, she suddenly disappeared. And no one has seen her ever since." Isaac said.

"Interesting... might've just been some wannabe opportunist. I think the first thing to do is to ask her friends or your family members if they've seen her." Vector said.

"Yes, that's what I did. None of them claimed that they saw her again. She's not really one to socialize with people much, only likes her focus on her work." Isaac explained.

"Okay. Why didn't you go to the police first?" Vector asked.

"I tried, but they wasn't enough evidence to prove her kidnapping for them." Isaac said.

"Okay... did you check her place? Maybe something left out of place there?" Vector suggested.

"I did but nothing was left out of place. There wasn't even a ransom note or threat. I did everything a person would do to look for someone missing. I check every last place she's been." Isaac said.

"Okay then... but why did you come to me?" Vector asked.

"Because I don't know this city, I'm from New York! And I'm sure someone knows something, but no one wants to talk! I tried to call the JL to help, but they've been busy with other threats. I didn't know what to do. But then, I found your advertisement." Isaac said pulling a piece of paper.

"WHAT THE?!" Vector exclaimed.

"Look, I'm willing to pay however much I need to. I would be very  generous, just please find my sister." Isaac said.

"Generous you say! Payment you say!" Vector exclaimed. 🤑

"Hey! Someone found my poster!" Charmy said.

"So that's why you need help spelling." Espio said.

"Hi! Are you a customer?" Charmy asked.

"Yes he is! Boys, we got a kidnapping case on our hands. It's time get to work. Have no fear Dr. Jones, we'll find your sister. I promise." Vector said.

"Thank you, please contact me when you find her." Isaac said. The Chaotix then head off to find their missing scientist.

"So Vector... where do we start?" Espio asked.

"First, we're gonna get some help with this case. Our friends at S.T.A.R. Labs should be able to give us the tech and information we need for our case." Vector said.

"Man, to think it's been 15 years since we got our powers from the Particle Accelerator Explosion." Charmy said buzzing around them.

Vector smiles as he remembers the Night of the Particle Accelerator Explosion.

Flashback

The Chaotix had just finished a case as they were walking through the rain when the city shakes. They then turn their attention to the nearby TV.

"We've now been told to evaluate the area, the storm may have caused a malfunction to the primary cooling system. Officials are now trying to shut down the Particle Accelerator, but so far haven't been able to gain control the situation-" Linda Parks said before the TV shut down.

The Chaotix turn around to see a huge orange energy wave flood the city as it hits them like a wall. As they fell over, their bodies were affected and were given meta-abilities. Vector got sound manipulation powers, Espio got teleportation powers, and Charmy got intangible powers.

Present

S.T.A.R. Labs

The Team Flash and Team Trollhunters were now working together on fighting the newest of Rogue criminals.

"Greetings fellow heroes."

Everyone turns around and smiles as they see Blinkous and Dictatious back and in clothes that looked like Indiana Jones.

"Blinky! Dictatious! You guys are back!" Jim said as he hugs Blinky.

"We are and it's good to be home." Dictatious said.

"It's great to see you guys again." Jim said.

"Well, after a while, all the post-Reality anomaly hunting starts to catch up with you—— that, and we wanted to wash all the Atlantean fish smell off of these clothes." Blinkous said as Aaarrrgghh smells both of them deeply.

"Smells fishy." Aarghaumont said.

"We're glad that you guys are back." Jim said.

"Yeah, we recently locked up the Royal Flush Gang. It seems like crime is growing lately." Cisco said.

"Speaking of crime, how are the Bad Guys doing?"Kihone asked.

"I think they're doing fine lately. After the whole Metal Virus Plague, they needed time to relax." Sonic said.

Los Angeles

Later in Los Angeles, Drago was showing the Bad Guys something he created.

"I call it my map book. It's a record of I'm putting together of everything that's going to happen in the future. The near future. " Drago said as he shows them all.

"You're planning our future?" Wolf asked.

"No. I'm cataloging it. Instead of changing it, we're just gonna follow it." Drago said.

"Catalog how?" Shark asked.

"I mean, between everything of me time traveling and Gideon's records and stuff we already know from Cade, Scratch, Geoff, Silver, and Jeff. I spent all of last week putting it together." Drago said.

"Why would you do that?" Webs asked.

"Because I couldn't want you guys to get hurt by whatever threat comes or whatever new villain we face. But with the book, we can see what's coming before it happens. The good and bad. Like with you two." Drago said to Wolf and Diane.

"Us?" Diane said.

"Wolf, Diane...you're gonna have another son in three months." Drago said as the news shocked them in a way that wasn't really joy.

"See this is great, right? Now we know what's gonna happen next. We can be prepared." Drago said.

But both Wolf and Diane looked upset. Not really looking happy.

"Hey... are you okay?" Drago asked.

"What happened to not knowing about the future, huh? Drago, you know one should never know too much about the future." Wolf said.

"I'm trying to keep you guys safe!" Drago argued at the Bad Guys.

"Yeah, but we don't want to know what's gonna happen next!" Wolf said.

"We want to find out ourselves." Snake said.

"I thought this would help in protecting you. So that no threat would kill you guys!" Drago said.

The Bad Guys look shocked at him as they left the room, leaving Drago alone. Later he was now looking at himself in his bathroom's mirror. He looked like a mess.

"I warned you that you become obsessed with the future but you didn't listen." Death said in the reflection as he faded away.

Drago the roar in anger as he punched the mirror, breaking it. He growls as he sinks to the floor. He realized he was getting obsessed with the future, just like Death told he would. Later that night, Drago called the Bad Guys together.

"I'm sorry guys. You were right. I shouldn't be doing this." Drago said.

"It's okay, Drago. We understand that you were just trying to protect us." Hyena said.

"We'll face the future together then." Drago said as used a Fire Glyph to burn his map book.

Central City

Soon the Bad Guys headed to Central City to help Team Flash and the Trollhunters.

"Hey guys! Thought you guys could use some help." Wolf said.

"Look's like we crashed a party!"

The heroes turn around as they see a mobian crocodile, a chameleon, and a bee stand there.

"Vector? What are you and the Chaotix doing here?" Sonic asked.

"Here to solve a case. We need your help in a missing person case. A scientist who works at Stark Industries." Vector said.

"Really? Wow, look at you being a detective." Sonic said.

"Yeah, so can—"

Suddenly the alarms go off as everyone heads to the screens.

"There's an attack on a transport from Kord Industries." Cisco said.

"We're on it!" Piranha said as the speedster with Jim sped off.

Outside somewhere in the city, a truck holding special cargo was being attacked. A Chinese crocodile, a wolf, and a dingo were attacking the guards as the dingo rips apart the cargo. The wolf then pulls out a small yellow energy device. Suddenly, Flash, Piranha, Draal, Sonic, and Jim arrived as they got everyone away.

"Hey there! You guys must be new. I'm the Flash, and you guys are?" Flash said.

"Oh We're just your worst nightmares. Name's Chuntao, but you can call me Killblade." The Croc said as he pulls out his techno blades.

"The name is Sleet and this is Dingo." Sleet the wolf said as Dingo chuckled.

"Nice to meet ya." Dingo said.

"We were wondering when you heroes would show up." Sleet said.

"Right, because you guys have to prove you're the big bad Rogues on campus, blab blab blab." Sonic taunted.

"SHUT UP!!!" Chuntao shouts as he throws his blades at them only for the Rogues to get blasted by a green energy pulse.

The heroes turn around to see a big red muscular tiger. It was Tigre Rojo, leader of the Plague Squad of the Justice League.

"Need some help?" Tigre Rojo said in a chuckle.

"Tigre? How-" Flash said.

"I can back from me and my brothers world trip. Thought you would need help." Tigre Rojo said.

"It's over Chuntao! You're all surrounded!" Draal said with a growl.

"Yeah but I promised myself I never go back to prison. And there's one you guys don't know..." Chuntao said as he pressed a button. "I ALWAYS have a comeback!"

"We're detecting nuclear radiation from your... Sweet PRIMUS! He activated a tactical nuke in that device!" Cisco said through comms.

"You set off a nuclear bomb?!" Flash said.

"Yeah." Chuntao chuckled.

"Billions will die!" Sonic said.

"That true... not really our problem." Chuntao laughed as he and the Rogues teleport away.

"Guys! You need to get that bomb out of here!" Jim said.

"Barry, you guys can't!" Allergra said through comms.

"She's right. The energy in that chamber is extremely volatile! If you guys move it... you could set it off and we have 20 seconds to stop it!" Chester said.

"Stand back!" Flash said to Jim and Tigre Rojo.

The five speedsters then began to phase the explosion throughout the entire city.

The blast washes over the city without killing or destroying everything. Once the blast was gone, the speedsters collapsed from exhaustion.

"Now that's something you don't see everyday." Tigre Rojo said.
________________________________
"I still can't believe that you, Sonic, Draal, and Piranha phased a nuclear explosion!" Toby exclaimed.

"Yeah, we're getting stronger and faster." Piranha said.

"Yeah but Chuntao and his gang got away with that battery." Shark said.

"We'll find them." Lobo Comando said.

"That still leaves us with the question on how did he and those mobians get their claws on the type of weapons they were wielding? A low-life crook like them couldn't make weapons like that." Snake said.

"He's got a partner. Someone who is equipping him with that type of tech." Vector said.

"But who?" Barry said.

"Hey guys! We got two stranger mobians at the doors of the lab." Cisco said as he shows them on the security feed. Vector takes a look and instantly recognized the two mobians.

"MOM?! DAD?!" Vector exclaimed in surprise.

Meanwhile in a hidden warehouse with five subterranean levels, Chuntao, his gang, Sleet and Dingo were walking across the catwalk with the power battery.

"Hey boss! We're back!" Dingo calls out.

"Got your battery! Hope it was worth it because I'm... running low on weapons." Chuntao said.

"Hello?" Sleet calls out. Suddenly two cases was shoved at their feet.

"Creepy." Chuntao said as he opens it, revealing more techno blades. Sleet and Dingo opens theirs to reveal more techno-weapons.

"Now that's more like it." Sleet said.

"Fine! What's our next move?" Chuntao asked.

"Not what! Who!"

A dark black figure appears who was stuck in a vibrational form with yellow and black lightning sparking off of him. His eyes glowed a sinister yellow as he glares at the Rogues.

"The heroes are never truly alone. But once I'm done with them... they will be!" The dark speedster said.

The speedster then ran around as he fired a blast on the wall. Burnt with lightning on the wall was a spider symbol with a lightning bolt in the middle.
