Epilogue

So, here we are at the end of the book. Enjoy my lovelies :)

Anaisha chose wine red banarasi saree, matched with sleeveless red V-neck blouse for Sehrish's Nikah ceremony. She will be one of the witnesses from the bride's side. Thirteen months after her divorce, she was finally getting married to the man who truly loves her.

Only Sehrish's ex-husband Zahir had come from the Rauf family to attend the function. He had married Rumi, the one who was almost finalized by Hasan. Zahir welcomed her along with her kids into the family. They had come to Mumbai as well for the function. It was good that Zahir had learned his lesson was a changed a man now. He treated his new wife and children with love, gentleness and more responsibly.

As for Sehrish, once all the formalities will be done after the Nikah, Dr. Mudassir will be taking her and her son, Yakub to UK with him.

Anaisha wore a simple red stone studded choker along with large round earring set and bangles. Just as she picked out her tiny black bindi, she noticed a reflection on her mirror and smiled a little.

"I was waiting for you?" She placed the bindi on her forehead and then reached out for a small, multi-colored box. Her gaze fixated on the person's reflection. Then, she opened the box of herbal sindoor and forwarded it to him.

She kept smiling at him, Hasan smiled back taking a pinch of sindoor. Anaisha closed her eyes as he applied generous amount of the vermillion in her hair parting. Some of it sprinkled on her nose.

"Oops." Hasan clicked his tongue, but Anaisha held his hand.

"Didn't I tell you; it is lucky."

Hasan grinned, - "Maybe, that is why I survived. Right?"

Anaisha winked, shrugging, - "Maybe." Then, she got up and held his arm, helping him with his left hand that held a crutch. His left leg was still limp. At times, he needed neck collar and struggled standing for too long.

It has been ten months since his accident. Hasan admired Anaisha as she helped him. His condition was terrible after the incident but with proper medical help, Anaisha's dedication towards him and his loved one's prayers, Hasan came out of the clenches of death and got a new life. Every time, he looked at his wife, he felt blessed. She was beside him all the time. She refused any male nurse and took all care of him by herself. From feeding him, bathing him, changing clothes, and even helped with his bathroom duties.  Her dedication and passion towards him were the sign of her love for him. All this she did while managing work, a baby, and her half-dead husband.

Hasan fell harder in love with her.

"Thank you!" He muttered, keeping his gaze on her.

Anaisha looked surprised, - "For?" she flipped back some of her hair.

"Everything. For coming in my life and—"

Anaisha smiled and hugged him. Hasan wrapped one arm around her, caressing her arm over her saree's pallu.

"I love you, Hasan. And I will always be by your side, no matter what."

Hasan closed his eyes with a smile, - "I love you too, Anaisha."

After a long moment, they slowly parted. Anaisha gently looped her arms with his and they passed a smile before walking out of the room. Together hand in hand and forever.
