Chapter Fifty One

Meghan's P.O.V

"So, everyone knows what to do?" I ask, looking at everyone surrounding me. Everyone nods and I clap my hands together, smiling. "Then let's go in and let the show begin."

We all stand in the line, watching as the bouncer let's the people into the club. When we are at the front, the bouncer looks down at Lila, who is in front of us. "Nice night, hey?" The bouncer asks, making me grin.

He is already falling for Lila's good looks... I think to myself as Lila throws him a smirk. When she grabs his hand and pulls him over to the side, whispering in his ear and making his back face all of us, she winks, telling us to head in. When we all rush in, everyone begins to get into position.

Everyone thinks we are here to get the address off of Drake when he arrives but that's not it. I have a little surprise up my sleeve and it has nothing to do with the plan. Let's just say, I'm doing this for Hannah and Jake.

I pull Jake over to the couch in the corner of the club which overlooks the dance floor. It is probably like six o'clock since Jake and I stayed at the hospital with Charlie for five hours or so. Then, I had to gather everyone up which took about two hours -- thanks to the twins. So now, here we all are.

I pull my phone out of my pocket and message Drake, telling him to meet me at the club. When he replies with an 'okay', I breathe out a sigh of relief. Everything is going to plan... I think to myself as my mind begins to run around the whole situation.

I feel Jake squeeze at my hand and I look over at him, furrowing my eyebrows. "What was that for?" I ask, hiding my smile. Jake shrugs and leans over, pecking my lips.

"I don't know. I just... yeah, I don't know." Jake says, not even bothering to hide his smile. I feel my heart race at the sight of his beautiful smile. I have no idea how I fell this hard for the good boy. Hell, I didn't even plan to like the guy at all... now look at me.

The bad girl who fell for the good boy. An ultimate cliché, right? Well, don't blame me. Like my brother used to say: you can't help who you fall for.

The memories of the last time I saw my brother rush through my mind and even though I want to push it away, it continues to play, the sound of my mother's voice screaming in my eyes.

"But I'm only fifteen, Matt. I have no idea what to do." I say and Matt let's out a laugh.

"Thats normal, Meghan. Do you think any mother who is going to have their first child knows what to do or what to expect?" Matt says and I keep my mouth shut. Okay, he did have a point. "Exactly. Now, let's go see our mother."

I sigh, stepping out of the car. I have no idea how our mother will react when I tell her that I'm pregnant. I mean, she was pregnant at a young age with Matt, so why would she get angry at me? Besides, none of this was my fault. I didn't plan on getting raped...

No one does.

"Just breathe." Matt says, grabbing at my hand. "Everything will be okay. I mean, does anything go wrong on someone's birthday?" Matt asks, a small smile rising on his lips.

Oh yeah, it's my birthday. How the hell did I forget?

"Hopefully not." I breathe out, walking with Matt up to the door. I can tell that Matt is a little scares because his hand is shaking a little... wait, maybe that is my hand. Glancing down at my hand, I bite down on my lip.

Yep, it's my hand.

Matt raises his fist to the door and knocks, licking his lips. When I hear a groan, I feel my heart quicken. "Oh dead lord, it's happening..." I mutter, trying not to run. I want to run away from this place but my legs don't move as I feel the footsteps come closer.

Shit!

Suddenly, the door swings open, revealing a lady with long blonde hair -- like mine -- and striking blue eyes -- like Matt's. The lady, also known as my mother, looks down at Matt and then, ever so slowly, looks over at me.

When our mother doesn't say a word, Matt decides to break the silence. "Hello, mom." Matt says with a smile, making me squeeze onto his hand when she glances over at me again. "Can we come in?"

Without saying a word, our mother steps aside, letting us in. When we both walk in, I feel my heart race even more when I begin to remember all of the memories in this place.

"What are you two doing here?" Our mothers asks, walking into the kitchen. Matt drags me behind him as he follows her. My eyes land on the beer bottles all over the floor, smashed and shattered. Our mom grabs a beer bottle out of the fridge and narrows her eyes at the both of us.

"We wanted to see you. Also, Meghan has some exciting news." Matt says, smiling down at me. When I feel my eyes go wide, my ears begin to ring painfully. I feel my heart race a mile a second, making me just want to throw up.

That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea.

"Oh?" Our mom says, raising her eyebrow at me. "And what could it be?"

"I'm pregnant." I quickly spit out, not wanting to be here any longer. Also, her gaze as she stares at me is making me really need the bathroom.

"What the fuck?" Our mom suddenly spits and I bite down on my lip, watching as she takes a sip from the beer bottle, walking towards us. "I sent you away from me to let you have a better life and this is what you come back to me with? That you're fucking pregnant!" The sudden shouting makes tears form in my eyes.

But it doesn't stop me from biting back.

"And the orphanage is a better place to stay? You have no idea how hard it was for me! For a fucking five year old to be surrounded by nuns who did nothing but order people around, it was horrible! And then, you have the nerve to be all shocked when you find out I'm pregnant? I didn't decide to get pregnant unlike you. You know why?" I pause, taking in a deep breath. "I'm not a whore who jumped from dick to dick like a fucking prostitute."

Suddenly, I feel my throat burn and I instantly feel the need to throw up. Looking around to find nothing but beer bottles everywhere, I try to hold it in but end up puking on our mother's tiled floor.

Well... shit.

First, I called my mom a slut and then puked on her floor.

Classy. Real classy.

When I look up at our mom, I see the pure fury in her eyes. Suddenly, taking one last sip of the beer in her hand, she goes to throw it towards the two of us. "You two both no longer belong here! I got rid of you two a long time ago so beat it!" My mom shouts, throwing the beer bottle towards Matt and I.

"Mom--"

"I said fuck off!" Our mom shouts, cutting Matt off from finishing. When she goes to throw another beer bottle off of the floor to us, Matt grabs at my hand and pulls me out of the house, slamming the door shut behind him. A second later, the glass smashes against the door and when Matt and I both reach the car, he furrows his eyebrows at me.

"The hell was that about?" Matt ask, his tone anything but soft. I lick my lips and feel the tears fall at the look in Matt's eyes. He looks disappointed, like I had thrown away his chance of getting a job. I choke on my saliva, letting the tears continue to fall.

"I-I'm s-s-sorry!" I cry out, raising my hands to my eyes, covering them. "I-I d-didn't mean i-it!"

I hear Matt breathe out a heavy sigh but it still doesn't stop me from crying. It may be what this baby is doing to me but then again, I haven't cried in so long so... maybe both?

I feel arms wrap around me, making my cry harder. "Stop crying, Meghan. It's okay. I'm not angry at you." Matt says, his tone going back to his soft one. I look up at him, the tears still falling.

"But y-you hate me." I mumble and Matt shakes his head.

"No, I love you. I always will." Matt says, a small smile spreading on his face. "Now wipe those tears away. Are you hungry? I'm feeling like some McDonald's." Matt grins and I can't help but let out a laugh.

Little did I know that that would be the last time I would see my brother's grin. Little did I know that that would be the last time I would hear my brother's soft voice. Little did I know that that would be the last time my brother said he loved me.

I knew Matt was angry but I didn't know that it would show when he began driving. Since my eyes were closed, Matt had thought I was sleeping, and that's when he began to show how angry he was. He was muttering curse words about our mother, not liking how she was treating the both of us.

That's when I felt the engine roar before it being completely shut off by impact.

We had spun about five times and we ended up upside down. Many people were trying to help us by since the position of the two of us made it nearly impossible for the people to grab us out, we had to wait for the professional help. It also didn't help that the car was smoking up from the engine.

While stuck in the car, there was this one lady who kept telling me that everything was okay. She was asking me questions -- since I was the only one awake -- and when she had asked me if I was pregnant, obviously being cautious, that's when I had muttered a quiet yes.

That's when everything happened so quickly.

I was dragged out of the car after ten minutes of the lady trying, eventually getting me free. But when I had see the car begin to light up, I told the lady that she needed to get my brother out. There was no way I was going to leave my brother in there. And when the lady kept telling me no, that she probably couldn't get him out in time, I decided to do it myself.

The lady tried to stop me but I had eventually escaped her and began to try and free Matt. After three or so minutes, the lady ended up helping me. When we had eventually got him out, the ambulance was already there and we were sent to hospital.

But what shocked me the most was when Matt and I were placed into the van, a few seconds later, the car had blown up -- went into flames.

If the lady hadn't helped me, Matt and I both would've died.

But that didn't even matter because two days later, Matt had died in that hospital. The nurse's told me that there was nothing that they could do.

That's when they shut off the life support.

"Meghan," Jake says, bringing me out of my thoughts. "Why are you crying?"

Fuck my life. Why am I so damn emotional now?

"I'm fine." I say, wiping away the tears that I didn't even know were running down my cheeks. Suddenly, I notice Drake walking over and I sit up straight, hoping that he didn't just see me crying.

"How you got in here, I have no clue." Drake says and I nod.

"I have my ways." I say and Drake chuckles, nodding.

"Of course. Now, why did you want me to meet you here again?" Drake asks and I force a small grin on my lips.

"To get wasted, why else?"

"Oh shit, we are out of drinks." Drake laughs, falling back into his chair with a small shot glass in his hand. Glancing over at the bar, I notice the twins sitting there, waiting for my signal. Feeling an idea coming on, I glance over at Jake and send him a small smile.

Drake doesn't know that our drinks have only been soda water so he is completely out of it. I'm glad I didn't end up drinking his drinks though because the smell of it is just disgusting enough.

"Why don't you get some more drinks..." I trail off, my voice slow as I pretend to be drunk. Jake nods, returning my smile as he stands up. When he is out of hearing distance, I look back at Drake, reaching into the bag next to my feet.

I grab out the recorder and shove it in my pocket quickly so Drake doesn't see. I click the 'start' button and smile at Drake. "So, how are you enjoying yourself?" I ask, watching as Drake looks at the empty shot glass.

"Well, I'm quite-" Drake hiccups, making my smile grow. "-disappointed that there is no more drinks..." Drake trails off, glancing over at Jake who is currently talking to the bartender. When Drake doesn't say anything else, I lean back in my chair.

"Hey, do you remember that time when Jake and I were pissed at you and you mentioned his sister?" When Drake furrows his eyebrows at me, I elaborate more. "You know, the one you had a relationship with or whatever?"

Drake grins. "Jamie!" He practically shouts, earning a few glances our way. "Oh yes, I remember her." Drake says and I can't help but grin, knowing that because of the state he is in, he will definitely spill what I need.

"What did you say you did to her?" I ask, glancing up at the bar to see that Jake is watching the two of us. Under the table, I raise my index finger when he begins to walk back and when he sees my signal, he stops and sighs.

"Oh, well, if you want to know the full story..." Drake says, leaning back in the chair. I nod and wait for him to speak, my hand holding onto the recorder in my pocket. "So, Jamie was pissed or something when she came to me the night before she died... and she told me that it was because of her brother or whatever. I don't remember why but after she explained the whole story to me, my phone rang."

"Who was it?" I ask, leaning forward.

"It was my boss. He had explained to me the danger that I was in because of the relationship I-" Drake hiccups before continuing. "-was having with Jamie. Apparently she knew too much and if I didn't do something about it, my boss said that he would end up killing me instead. So I did the only thing I could do." Drake explains and I raise my eyebrow.

"You shot her?"

"Ran the car into a tree, actually. I had jumped out a second before and since I had jammed Jamie's seat belt, she couldn't get out and that's when the car blew up in flames." Drake explains and I gulp, pulling the recorder out of my pocket slowly and pressing the 'stop' button under the table.

Looking up at the bar, I motion for Jake to come over and he does. When he places the drinks on the table, Drake grins happily. "Finally!" Drake practically screams and I grin when he begins to down the alcohol.

Suddenly, as if I am about to throw up, I rise from my chair. "I need the bathroom. I'll be back soon." I say and when I walk past Jake, I tap his shoulder, hoping he gets the signal. Hearing him make up an excuse about how he also needs the bathroom, he gets up and follows me across the club to where Lila is.

"Your turn." I say to Lila and she nods, placing her beer into the trash can beside her. She gets in and sighs, shoving her hands in her pockets.

"Finally. I was beginning to fall asleep." Lila says, earning a laugh from me. As she begins to walk over to where Drake is, I glance over at the bar to see the twins still talking to the girls who are sitting next to them.

Sighing in annoyance, I grab Jake's hand and drag him over to the twins, not surprised that they want some action tonight. "Hey," I snap, glaring at the two. I notice the girls look me up and down, gulping when they see the tattoos on both my arms. Rolling my eyes, I slap both of William and Chris' heads. "Are you forgetting why we are here?"

"Uh, n-no." Chris says and I glance over at William to see him gaping at the fact that the two girls have now disappeared.

"Meghan!" William groans, running both his hands down his face. "They were hot!"

"They don't want your small dick, Will." I say, making both Jake and Chris chuckle. "Now, in two minutes, both of you are going to do what you are supposed to do. Fail, and I will cut your dicks off and make you feed it to your dog." I say, not wanting this whole thing to fuck up.

Both William and Chris nod, getting up from their seats. I nod and glance over at Lila and Drake, and everything seems to be going well. When I turn to look at Jake, he points down at the two full shots that the twins didn't drink.

"One for the road?" Jake asks and I nod, grabbing the shot glass and tapping it against Jake's before tipping my head back.
