Drake 'N' Andrea: The Hook-Up Handcuff (Part II)
It's a long one! Enjoy the ride ;) And don't skip the A/N in the end ;) ;)
****
Precap" Drake and Andrea meet at a party and get handcuffed to each other by Sophia who loses the key to unlock their hands.
If at all I ask any random mirror on any random wall to tell me who looked the scariest of them all.
The mirror would tell me an 'it'd- would--be--you--Andy.'
And trust me when I say I wouldn't agree less with it 'cause I bet I was stood looking the grumpiest I've ever looked in my approximate two decade long existence. That's because I was feeling exactly the way you had felt when you were handcuffed to the very last person you would want to be with. Oh wait, you'd be clueless about how I was feeling 'cause you, fortunately, never ever had to wear a handcuff of all the things unless, ofcourse, you did something criminal---which I'm sure you didn't (Yeah, we're all good, law abiding people here! Dee!)---or you have a friend like Sophia who carries a handcuff as though it were a normal thing to keep in a bag.
I was getting fed up of the party. I didn't wanna be there anyway. I turned to the blonde haired soul who, unfortunately, was stood alongside me.
"I can't tolerate this place anymore. I want to go home!" I said in frustration.
"In other words, are you telling me you wanna take me home?" Drake smirked.
I frowned hard at him. "Pervert!"
"Pervert who?" he retorted in deep offence. "If you haven't realized yet, let me tell you we're handcuffed. I'm assuming you to know what that means!! So unless your body is stretchable to infinity, you can't go home without me."
"I want to go outside of here!"I said grumpily.
"I'm not going anywhere," he said stubbornly, looking away from me. "I'm standing right here."
"Yes. You're coming outside!" I glared at him.
"No. I'm not!" he said firmly.
"Yes."
"No."
"YES."
"NO."
"YES."
"NO."
"YES."
"Get over it!" he said, losing patience.
"I won't," I snapped back. "I'm suffocating in here! I might just get giddy any moment from now and fall on the floor unconscious and you will be blamed for it. Things might turn all the more serious and I might be admitted in the ICU and again, you will be blamed for it. So if you don't want the police to handcuff you in real, you have to walk outside for me."
"Fine," he muttered, rolling his eyes. "You should be cast in Scream Queens."
I gave him a pointed look over his comment. But when we ventured outside, I suddenly recollected something. With my eyes wide open, I ran back inside the farmhouse, ofcourse, dragging Drake behind me in that process. Ignoring his utters of protest, I scanned the place for Soph. When I finally spotted her in the midst of the dancing people, she wasn't alone.
She was close dancing with the very same brown haired guy who had asked me for a dance earlier and whom Drake had scared away by speaking crap about me.
Darn.
I walked outside again in irritation and ofcourse, dragging Drake behind me once again.
"What do you want, you indecisive woman!" Drake snapped.
I rolled my eyes and spoke, "Soph and I were supposed to head to the mall from the party 'cause there's a sale of exclusive One Direction merchandise. Since Soph is busy you need to drive me to the mall---"
"No, I won't!!"
"---and since you have no other option but to walk into the sale with me, you might as well carry the basket whilst I shop for my favourite 1D stuff and put into it," I concluded, not acknowledging his objections.
"Excuse me?" he uttered incredulously. "Can't you see the big 'NO' written all over my face?"
"A 'No' is the most irrelevant thing to say here 'cause it's One Direction we're talking about," I shrugged matter-of-factly as though I was speaking about the American laws.
"Again, if you haven't noticed it yet, let me bring to your notice that we're fucking handcuffed," he said. "We can't roam about in a sale like that in midst of so many people!"
"Didn't you hear it's a One Direction sale??" I drawled. "People would be too busy fangirling over the boys to notice that two people are handcuffed amongst them."
He shook his head, mumbling something under his breath that I couldn't catch. But I don't care about that 'cause he agreed to drive me to the mall.
"I don't mean to be nice when I say you're some girl, Andy," he said as we somehow got into the front of his car.
"Hey! You can't call me Andy!" I said critically.
"Ofcourse I can call you Andy," he drawled, starting the engine of the car. "It's not difficult at all to pronounce 'Andy'."
"I scowled hard at him but his gazes were fixed ahead on the road. I too looked away.
"By the way, I don't understand what you see in those One Direction guys that you're so crazy for them," spoke Drake. "I've everything that they have in combined."
"You should be banned from the country for such a lame joke," I scoffed.
"You take pride in fangirling about the boyband who don't even know that you exist on the face of the Earth as a human," he snorted.
"They saw me!" I defended sharply. "Niall Horan WAVED at me when I was there at a New York 1D concert last month!"
"In that case, he waved at you AND thousands of other people as well," he said in an obvious tone. "So, again, no one from the band knows you."
Argg.
Truth fucking hurts!!
I felt my blood bursting in anger.
Dark Andy is rising.
She won't let a certain blonde haired guy speak facts and rub salts on her painful wounds!!
So I gave it back to him. He retorted. I snapped back at him once more and the war of words was on and I'm gonna frickkin win this, I tell you!
***
"Where are we?"
I blinked blankly, looking all around. The surroundings were so unfamiliar and dark because of the night. Not a single breathing soul was to be spotted.
"I....I could take a guess but it wouldn't be helpful," said Drake, his face scrunched up in confusion and he was looking all around the place with eyes wide open.
So yeah, we had reached the middle of nowhere.
"How can you not know where we are?" I questioned him pointedly. "You were driving the car, weren't you?"
"How can you not know where we are? It's not the first time you're going to the mall, is it?" he countered.
"But you were driving the car!" I tried to make sense with him.
"It's all because of this fucking handcuff!!" he said in frustration
"It's all because of you!" I said, equally irritated.
"Why did you want to dance with that guy?"
"I don't see why you should have a problem with it," I countered.
Drake grumpily looked the other side. I too looked away from him and faced the window.
There was pin drop silence between us in the already silent surroundings. I don't know for how many seconds the silence lasted amidst us but it felt really long.
"I'd have driven the proper way if you'd not have bickered with me," Drake spoke quietly.
"Excuse me??" I faced him with a scowl itched on my face. "When you very well know that you cannot win a war of words with me, you should have kept quiet and concentrated on the road instead!"
"Weren't your eyes wide open while "winning" the "war"? Couldn't you have told me I was going the wrong way?" he retorted.
I narrowed my eyes into slits at him. "Just goes on to show how bad of a driver you are; depending on others to tell you which way is right and which way is left, aren't you?"
Drake had opened his mouth to shoot back but I spoke first.
"I see you've got great biceps under the sleeves of your shirt. Why don't you put your body building in the gym to some use and break this handcuff," I sneered, my lips curling.
"I wish I could do that but I'm not an Iron Man here!" he said gruffly.
I was about to speak but words stopped dead in my throat when I noticed a police van approaching our way from the opposite direction.
Drake and I watched in suspense as the van stopped a few feet away in front of us. One tall lean police officer and another short and fat police officer with a round face got down from the van. As much as we wished them to not see us, they saw us. Worse, they started to walk in our direction with their four eyes fixed on us. And judging by the expressions on their faces, I knew Drake and Andrea were going to be in a serious soup of trouble.
We quickly hid our handcuffed hands just in time the police officers appeared at each of our windows.
"What are you two doing here at this hour?" the fat officer asked suspiciously.
Before I could say anything, Drake spoke defensively, "My girlfriend & I have come for a long drive, right sweetheart?".
I grew wide-eyed at that.
The lean officers sharp eyes noticed the handcuff, "What is this?!!? Both of you are handcuffed!"
Uh-oh.
"We love each other so much that we always want to be together, so this handcuff." Drake lied convincingly.
Oh Wait....
The policemen were still suspicious.
"There is something fishy!" the fat one spoke, "I think these two are criminals who have escaped from a prison."
What the actual fuck??!!??
Then the lean one told the fat one, "Let's arrest them! Then we will receive a big promotion!"
The policemen had big smiles on their faces.
What the actual fuck??!!??
I was turning paler and paler with fright that I had no clue what happened next. The next I knew we were speeding away and I saw in the rear-view mirror that our car was being followed by the police van.
So yeah, apparently I was in the middle of a chase.
"Why are you speeding away! We can't escape from the police!" I yelled over the roaring engine.
"We got to!" Drake yelled back.
"In that case, can't you drive faster??!" I panicked, seeing the reflection of the police van nearing our car in the rear-view mirror.
"I am not an F1 car racer and people don't drive wearing handcuffs!" Drake retorted.
The chase wasn't in the least like a big, bad Hollywood chase scene. It lasted for a little over than one minute 'cause, unfortunately, the police were able to corner us.
"Surrender both of you," the lean officer shouted.
"We're not criminals!!" I said defensively. "We don't even know each other!"
"Now where did I hear the same before?" the fat one pretended to think. "Oh yeah, from other criminals!"
Drake and I were put into the back of the van. The policemen didn't even let us explain the story behind the handcuff. They were too busy dreaming about getting a promotion.
Dammit.
From reading about Azkaban to actually being taken to a place resembling it, haven't I come a very long way?
"Who told you to speed the car away on the first place?!!?" I snapped at Drake in frustration.
"'Cause I didn't wanna be pushed behind bars, isn't that obvious?" Drake said grumpily.
"Yeah, we're being taken on a World Tour now, right?" I smiled sweetly.
"Keep quiet, you two!" the fat officer shouted from the front of the van.
The expected happened. On reaching the police station, we were put inside a cell. we tried to explain ourselves but the problem was no one was ready to listen.
"You know what, I just don't know how to explain my feelings to you!" I glared at Drake.
"Oh that's sad," he shot back sarcastically, "I have been waiting since ages to know what you think of me."
"Don't try to be over-smart, okay. When smartness was required to be shown then Blondie was dreaming."
"Are you trying to say that we are "happily hooked" in prison because of my fault??"
"Obviously Yes. I have never been to jail in my life & it's all because of you!"
"As if I was yearning for an experience in prison!"
"What if my parents come to know about this?" I went blue with fear.
"Yeah! Like my parents would present me with an Oscar for being behind bars!" he sneered.
"Stop trying to copy my sarcasm. You don't know anything!" I snapped.
"Sarcasm is not under your copyright, Andy," he retorted
We kept on arguing, not sparing a second to take a breath. We didn't even care that the officers there were irked and frustrated because of our nonstop bickering.
"Excuse me?? Do you eve---"
"Can't both of you stop already?"
I stopped midway hearing that voice. Drake and I turned sideways and saw Sophia shaking her head on the other side the bar.
"Soph??" Drake and I uttered at the same time.
"Yeah right," she said. "Funny that you remember who I'm even after so much of wrangling."
Soph had come with her dad to the police station. Soon all the misunderstandings with the police officers were cleared and the key was used to unlock the bloody handcuff off our hands.
Ah, the taste of freedom is so tasty!
"You guys are lucky that you didn't have to wait till morning! My dad had the spare key," Soph told us cheerfully.
Ironically, the fat and lean officer who brought Drake and me here on the first place seemed like the happiest souls on Earth that we were going away.
"Thank you so much for taking them away!" the lean officer exclaimed with joy, shaking hands with Soph's dad, "You don't know what mental trauma we went through for having kept these two in jail."
Excuse me???
That was so rude!
We can in no ways cause mental trauma to anyboy. Drake and I didn't quarrel that lot.
But I knew better than saying anything against the police. So did Drake.
I caught Soph sighing at that. Everything was sorted out. It was finally time to leave.
***
Drake and I stood facing each other outside the police station with Soph standing alongside me.
Drake and I were just stood there without a word to each other. Now that it was time to go our separate ways, funny that we didn't have anything to say to each other.
"Let's go, Soph," I told her. "I can't stand being here anymore."
"You stole the exact words in my head but I'll pardon you anyway, " Drake said.
I frowned hard at him. He gave me a look of dismissal in return.
We turned our backs to each other and began to walk away in opposite directions.
But I couldn't walk away as quickly as I thought I would.... My steps were losing their pace and sadness thronged my insides....
"Andy!!"
I caused my feet to come to a halt hearing Drake's voice calling me from behind.
When I turned around, Drake had already rushed towards me. He cupped my face in his hands and his lips came crashing against mine. We caressed each other's lips with passion and vigor. I gasped feeling his hot tongue slide into my mouth driving me to breathlessness. His hands went around my waist and mine around his neck as I pulled him all the more closer to me. His tongue stroked the inside of my mouth and then intertwined with my tongue in a way that made me rasp in pleasure.
"I'm so sorry Andy, I love you so much," he whispered on my lips, his hands caressing my waistline.
"I love you and I'm sorry too, Drake," I breathed, letting my fingers tangle in his luscious blonde curls kissing him harder if that was even possible.
Who am I even kidding? I'm so frickkin crazy for him. I lied when I said I was super single. I lied when I pretended to not know Drake when I saw him walk into the party. Heck, I knew him way before the party must have been even planned. I was jealous seeing all those hot girls serenading him. So I wanted to dance with that brown haired guy to make Drake jealous. I did succeed 'cause Drake didn't want me to dance with that guy.
I felt his tongue circling around mine once more when....
"Wait, hello! What's even happening?"
I heard Soph's stunned voice along with my moans.
Oops.
I totally forgot she was there too!
Drake and I drew our lips apart and turned sideways to see Soph stood with the most baffled expressions ever.
I don't actually blame her for being so shocked.
"I'd have told you two to get a room if I'd know what was going on!" exclaimed Soph in astonishment. "I thought you guys loathed each other 'cause you were already bickering before I introduced you to one another."
"Well....ah," Drake looked from me to her. "Andy is my girlfriend," he explained, holding hands with me. I intertwined my fingers tightly with his.
"Say what?" she blurted out, not understanding anything.
"Actually....Drake and I knew each other long before you introduced us tonight at the party," I said. "We're dating after all."
"Come again?" Soph blinked.
"Yeah," said Drake. "We had had some fight recently and had broken up because of that. It was the stupidest thing to break up but it doesn't matter now 'cause we have patched up right here, didn't we Andy?"
"Yes," I smiled widely at him.
"Wait a minute," said Soph. "So are you trying to say that you guys are a couple and I had absolutely no clue about it? Andrea Wilson," she turned to me in particular. "I thought we were friends but you didn't even tell me you have a boyfriend! Heck, you didn't even you had broken up with him! I just want to ask, like WHY??"
I was about to speak but Drake did first, "But hey, good news! We patched up right in front of you, didn't we?"
Soph was looking at me for an answer, impatiently tapping her foot on the ground.
I sighed, then spoke. "I didn't tell you, Soph, because we've been friends since a week only. And...I don't reveal the most personal details about myself to anybody in that short period of time. But I was certainly about to tell you about Drake and me soon."
I decided to be frank with her 'cause she really is a good friend and deserved a true answer.
"Alright, I can understand," she said in assurance. "But what were both of you fighting about that caused you guys to straightaway break-up?"
"We had a fight over---" I stopped short, not knowing what to say next.
"Do you remember what we were fighting about?" I asked Drake, turning to him.
Drake answered after reflecting for a brief time, "I....actually don't....!" he smiled at how utterly amusing the whole thing was.
"Neither do I!" I said, feeling so silly about it.
"Hey! Did we fight over which colour paint would suit the wall best?" Drake inquired.
"Nope. That was the reason for our second last fight I think," I said thoughtfully.
"Yeah, yeah that's correct," he said in recollection.
"Mahn! You guys don't even remember what you fought about?" Soph asked in amusement.
"That's right," shrugged Drake. "We don't really remember our fights. I just can't forget how lucky I am to have her."
Drake pecked me on my lips.
"Same," I giggled against his lips.
"Can't help but imagine those police officers' faces if they come to know about you guys being a couple!" Soph remarked
Drake laughed. "If that happens, God help them!"

P:S - I'm actually thinking of a crossover between Drake-Andrea and my another powerhouse couple Eleanor Sanchez and Devon Parker from my other story 'Neighbours'. I haven't finalized anything as of yet, let's see if I can come up with a good crossover !
In the meantime, if you haven't met Eleanor and Devon, do head over to 'Neighbours'. I'm sure you would enjoy reading that one too! :D
