Hope you EnJoY~
♦♦♥April♥♦♦
"Pink or blue?" I shake my head in defeat. There's no one in this world who could win against Gracie once she decides to put you through hell.
"Answer me Ap!" She shouts louder this time.
"Pink." I mumble.
I can't believe how things turned out this way. Everything and everyone was normal until that moment when Gracie realized I was checking out his profile on Facebook.
"Let's make you hot babes." Leah shoots me a dirty smile waving the makeup brushes in her hands towards me.
I don't like the way things are going but unfortunately they are far away from being in my control so I just shut my eyes and let them decorate me for my burning hot date with Mr. Sexy.
Yup that's right.
Thanks to the nosy interference of my cousin I have a date due at six O'clock sharp with a hot looking jerk and I have no idea why on earth he agreed to this nonsense but I will find out soon and the first thing I'm going to do when I see him is to smack his head with a fry pan and make him regret he has one.
Okay, may be not with a fry pan but I sure will smack him!
Let me take you back so you could understand what exactly happened....
Last night :
"Let's do it Leah." Gracie whispers and Leah silently nods from behind. I keep looking between them hoping that I could get a clue of what's going on in those heads but being the dumbest person on earth I couldn't realize anything until they reach up to my room and open my laptop.
"What are you doing?" I dumbly ask as Gracie goes ahead and open my laptop, entering the password she proceeds...
Wait a minute.
"You know my password?" A wave of shock hits me. Gracie sends me a blank look before opening my Facebook account.
"It's not fair!" I shout.
"Look Lee, she was stalking his account!" Gracie squeals making me feel like ay in okay.
Ignored to the core.
"Gracie!" I yell, reaching for my laptop but she dodges it easily, making my face planting hard on the floor.
The floor sure is cold.
"Hey floor." I murmur quietly, still in the same position after several minutes, the floor feels nice somehow. i realize i'm losing my mental stability slowly...
slowly..
"April, you can't be in a relationship with your floor. Get up." Leah pulls me up and makes me sit on the bed.
"Ap," Gracie catches my attention before I can face Leah, "He's so hot!" Her wide grin and the twinkle in her eyes irritates me.
Wait what?
"Yeah, whatever." I brush her off, actually brushing off my own thoughts. Why would it irritate me if Gracie thought that he was hot? If he is hot then every girl would think the same thing squealing in her mind when she saw him, which definitely shouldn't bother me.
"Don't! Oh God Grace!" Leah's words bring me back from my trance, I glance at my laptop as I stand behind them, on the screen I see my news feed and a small chatbox opened in the right corner....
My eyes narrow trying to read whatever it was being typed.
So will you go out with me?
My mind freeze, I stop breathing as Gracie presses the enter button and message gets delivered to him.
Going out with someone has become a foreign thing for me since I swore to myself that I would never date again, not after what I lost, I didn't want my thoughts to go in that direction ever again, I was fine with just me and his memories.
Memories of my boyfriend who was everything to me.
But here she was destroying that strong control I had in myself when it came to boys..
"Grace!" I shout loudly, anger dripping through my voice. I hold back my urge to slap her.
How could she?
"I'm doing this for you. Try to understand." She ever so calmly states and returns her focus on the laptop screen. There is no reply from his side yet.
"You don't understand anything Gracie," I inhale deeply realizing how my best friend is not saying a word and is sitting quietly next to Gracie like a trained dog. "And why aren't you stopping her Leah?" My anger diverts at her, she knows everything and still chose to let Gracie do stupid things, if she knows what Gracie is trying to do here she should stop her but instead she is sitting silently without scolding my cousin for the unforgivable thing she has done.
"April, I think... I don't know how to say this...but I think you should start seeing someone."
I let out a humorless laugh.
"What good it would do Leah? I loved someone and he died. That's all there is to in my life. I don't want to even think about anyone and..." My jaw clenches hard to the extent my teeth begin to ache.
"...you fucking know that." Leah struggles under my gaze, I feel a pang of pain in my heart for hurting her, I shouldn't be talking to her like this, I inhale deeply, I can handle things calmly, yes I can.
You can do it Princess. Inhale in, exhale out.
His voice echo in my heart, squeezing it to no end. I feel my eyes sting, tears are ready to fall down at any moment.
"Yesssss!" Gracie yells making both of us to turn our heads at her.
"What happened?" Leah asks still looking at me apologetically.
"He said yes." She giggles. Her laugh rings deep in my ears, I shut my eyes close, squeezing my palms tight.
When I was so determined not to think about anyone my heart flutters at the thought of him and me. He must have lost his mind that he agreed to it..but I'm glad he did.
How ironic is this.
"April?" Gracie shakes me by hand making my eyes open and I let out a small shriek.
"You look flustered. Did the thought of going on a date with him make you nervous?" She mockingly asks, raising her manicured eyebrow.
"Of course not." I quickly look away not giving her any chance of figuring out a small twinkle of joy in my eyes, she was too observant for her sake.
Present :
"Ta-da!" Leah and Gracie sing in unison and I open my eyes slowly.
My eyes meet two beautiful pair of Hazel green eyes reflecting back a little bit of admiration I see in them for myself after a long time.
Your eyes get me every time April.
His voice startle me, making a frown appearing on my forehead.
What am I doing?
"What's the time?" I curtly ask Leah ignoring how beautiful I looked in a long flowery dress and how the big lavenders on the dress made my eyes stand out even more, how my hair curled around my neck, how my lips look plumped with a dash of peach shade lipstick on them, how..
Enough. Stop checking yourself out!
"It's 5:30." Leah replies looking smugly at me. I know she is way too proud of herself cause she turned me into a hot chick in just few hours but instead of feeling thankful I feel unsettle.
Something isn't right.
"He is going to pick you up at 5:50." Gracie who's acting like it's my wedding day or something cheerfully says as we come down in the living room which is awfully silent with Austin gone out for his interview.
He has no idea about this and obviously telling him any of this mess would only show how suicidal I am.
"Fine." I uncomfortably sit down on the edge of the sofa while weird emotions swirl inside my mind.
Is this right? Should I be going out on a date with someone I met two days ago? Would he permit me to do this? Only if he was still alive everything would have been perfect..
"I'm sure Logan will be happy, seeing his princess becoming a human again." Leah speaks breaking through my thoughts. His name still make my heart skip a beat, my mind do happy dance..
"You really think so?"
"Yup. As long as I had known him he wasn't someone who would not want his girlfriend to have fun and the life she deserves. He always had wished your happiness Ap."
Is going out with a jerk is what I deserve?
"Right." I tightly say, words stuck in my throat.
A big hollering sound of horn let us know my ride is here. Shakily I get up to peer out of the window.
I watch him removing his helmet and placing it on the front of him, shaking his head and brushing his hand through his soft black hair.
He looks pretty good even though he's sweating like a pig. He is unfair to no end.
"I should go. See you guys later. Let me know if Austin comes back ok?" They nod giving me sheepish smiles.
The joy of victory is slowly spreading on their faces. The date they planned is about to begin.
I just hope everything goes smoothly.
I tiptoe through the little peddle path towards the gate and that's when his eyes met mine.
I stop in my tracks.
His sharp crystal gray eyes bore into mine making my heart do summersaults in my ribcage.
He eyes me from top to bottom, I notice his eyes lingering more than necessary on particular places as his half smirk keeps getting bigger.
"Don't you look hot Hazel?" He asks huskily jumping out from his bike.
"My name is April." I coldly say. My poker face is on the moment I realized if I let my guard down around him, this date would not take much time for turning into a nasty night.
"Hazel." He presses his forehead on mine suddenly, startling me. "For me, you are Hazel." I roll my eyes.
How cheesy can this bad boy be?
"I'm not the only human being with Hazel eyes genius." I push him away, when I glance sideways at him I realize how much he had to bend in order to pull out that chessy for me you're Hazel thing.
He makes me feel like a bush in front of his coconut tree like height.
"But you are the only human being whose Hazel eyes are so pretty."
I turn around in surprise. I thought he could only insult people but after receiving a compliment from him makes me feel like I just got an A in maths.
Impossible things turning possible.
"Thanks." I shyly say.
He settles on his bike again and shoves his helmet in my hands roughly, something cuts my index finger and I cry out.
"What's wrong?" He asks, his eyebrow raised.
"You should be careful with girls, I am a girl, not one of your friends." I stare at my finger and a small stream of blood on the top.
He stares silently at me for a moment before taking my hand in his, he crane his neck down and...
My finger!
"What are you doing?" I shriek.
He simply stares at me with my finger in his mouth.
His mouth!!
I feel his tongue constantly licking the area on my finger from where the blood was coming.
It's been so long since I am touched by a guy. I haven't let anyone come this closer to me, so why am I letting this guy do whatever he wants?
"Let it go!" I hastily try to take my finger out.
"Are you stupid? I was trying to help you." He shouts this time.
Short tempered pair aren't we.
"Well, I don't need it. Let's just go." I wipe my finger with my handkerchief gently.
"Wear that helmet first." He orders.
I look down at the black coloured helmet with a design of fire on it.
Suits his rough personality.
"What about you?" I narrow my eyes at him, don't tell me is not going to wear one, that would be breaking the rules.
He may be used to breaking the rules but I am not.
"Are you dumb enough to realize that I am not going to wear any?"
Rudeness is his blood I suppose.
"Why not? You're the one whose going to drive." I shove his helmet back in his chest.
I notice him wearing a shiny blue button up shirt and black pants.
Why would he dress up so nice? Was he really looking forward to it?
"Wear it your highness. It's for your protection. My rough driving shouldn't harm you, right?" He shoots a half smirk at me and I look down, embarrassed.
"Fine." I mutter.
Wow, is he actually caring about me? How come he suddenly showing his manners?
I wear his helmet nonetheless adjusting it, it's huge for the size of my head and I can barley see anything from it.
After I manage to get on his bike he slides a bit forward making a bit of a space in between us.
"Hold on to me Hazel." I feel nervous at his low voice, I slowly move close to him circling his back with my hands.
"Here we go."
He says and with a loud roar of his bike and we speed up to wherever he is taking me.
