"She'll be fine stop sniffing my shoulder."

"But she collapsed...all of a sudden.."

"Zip your mouth you two."

"Jayson! Ew?!"

"Shhh!"

Three different voices bring me back to consciousness slowly, my surroundings blur, as they show in the movie and brightness streams in enlightening every face.

"Hey guys?" I call out weakly; my head still feels heavy, as if someone has put up piles of rocks on my head.

"Ap? How do you feel?" Austin comes closer touching my forehead with the back of his hand.

"Heavy..." I glance at my right to see Jayson wiping away his tears and Leah staring at him annoyingly.

Ahh I'm loved.

"You scared us stupid!" Jayson whines half cries as he sits beside me, his face look adorable though, with pouted lips and joined eyebrows.

"Sorry Jay Jay."

"Anyway doctor has told us that you should rest for at least one day." Austin says.

"Yay! I will be at home on a Monday morning!" I rejoice happily.

"Just one day, did you hear me? Today is Friday if you don't remember."

"Today's Friday? No wayy!"

"Quiet down birdy, and rest well." Austin rests his forehead on mine, for a moment we just stay like that without moving an inch. It's our emotional kind of a way to bond with each other.

"Night Ap."

I gulp down a glass of water with two tablets that Austin forced me to take and huff back on my baby, my fluffy soft baby bed and instantly fall asleep.

I hear a distant take care from Leah before everything turns blur and I welcome sweet sleep with open arms.

Yum....strawberries...? No no it's a sweet smell but it can't be strawberries...

Apple pie...

Sweet corn candy...?

"Gooseberry?" My eyes wide open when the irresistible smell comes way to close, my mouth waters and I drool on the plate full of gooseberry pie.

"Holy macaroni... You're the best brother in the world Austy!" I look up at my brother who's playing chef today it seems.

"How sweet of you to make me a heavenly smelling breakfast!"

"I didn't have choice April; you haven't been taking care of yourself, have you?" He places the plate on my desk and pulls away my sheets, which make my legs strangle in them and I not so gracefully fall on the floor.

"And you call this taking care of me?" I scowl at him while he laughs a loud.

"What are you ? A baby? Quit whining and brush your teeth before you devour your breakfast."

"Okayyy mom." He freezes for a second when I say mom but leaves the room after making it a bit tidy.

The pronunciation of the word mom still makes him tense so much. I know how he feels, that word used to make me cry every time I hear it but that me is gone now. The present me knows that if I have to survive without some important people of my life, then so be it. I can't keep crying forever because time is a cruel thing. Even if we can't move on in our lives, time moves on without shading a tear.

"So, I was wondering..." Austin begins as we sat ourselves on the kitchen table and I am neat clean according to him, after taking shower and changing clothes that is, we are comfortably eating our breakfast.

"Where is Gracie?" The spoon in my hand drops down, chills run down my body.

I forgot about her!

Oh wait, James must be with her.

"She was with James last night. I already predicated that she won't return until today, morning." I shrug off the topic, stuffing my mouth with gooseberry pie so much that my mouth isn't able to move anymore.

"Ap, where are your table manners? Did you forget them while I was away?"

I groan internally. How can I ever forget how strict and Orthodox my brother is when it comes to things like manners, politeness, ladylike behavior and all.

Seriously, he's the male version of my mom.

"Austin, sorry to inform, but I threw those teachings of yours out of the window the moment you left the house two years ago. And I frankly think, you should do the same." I finished my breakfast, and while stretching my hands in the air a loud yawn escapes my mouth.

"Bad manners Ap. Ugh. You're full of them." He scrunches his nose disgustedly at me.

I smile widely at him, not feeling even a bit shameless.

"I forgot to ask you the most important thing."

"And what that might be?" I yell back, as now I plop myself on the couch and my mind is poking me from inside to watch a amazing kind of movie.

I wonder if we have any of them left though, Jayson and Leah take away all the good stuff in my house just so that their indoor dates could be more interesting and passionate.

Ew, I don't want to think about why they need to get passionate for.

"Did you complete Uncle George's deal?"

Uncle George.

His name only could make me sweat like a pig, a month ago. He was the devil entered our lives when our angel called mom left us. At first he was all about sentiment and good stuff, love and all. I thought he loved us, truly. But his huge grin and open arms were too decisive for us to handle. He was a monster hidden under his chubby pink cheeks and sugar coated words.

After a few weeks of mom's death he literally started to treat us like slaves, for addition to our misery aunt Stephanie came to help her evil husband and our problems doubled.

"Look if you didn't find anyone, I can totally understand, no one in this town is that screwed up in head to ever think of buying that house."

I stare at him in silence, I can't believe he is so confident about the deal which we are suppose to complete or Uncle George might threaten to kill us, or kill us directly.

"I completed the deal." I catch his expressions changing drastically in a few seconds.

"You what? Are you kidding me?"

"I'm not. That house is sold for good."

Austin stares at me like some kind of alien.

"Who bought it?"

He plops himself beside me, a big bowl of pop corns is clutched in his hands.

My brother sure knows how to make me happy.

"Give me that" I try to snatch the bowl from his hand but he stops me, with his hand on my forehead, "first, answer my question."

And he knows how to annoy me as well.

"Austin!"

"Answer me." He places the bowl far away for me to reach it and expectantly looks at me.

"Christian McKinney" I state.

"Happy?"

I don't wait for his reply, eating popcorn while watching a movie is my favorite combo ever so I move on and grab the bowl.

"I'm eating this all by myself, let me be clear" I say and crawl back in my seat.

For a while I watch the movie in peace until I notice something strange.

Austin hasn't said a word has he?

"Austy?" I side glance at him.

He looks frozen and...scared? Nah that can't be...

"Austin Grey?" I call out loud this time.

"Are you nuts?" He growls, switching off the TV he throws the remote away he jerks me around.

"What's wrong with you? I was watching that movie!" His grip tightens on my shoulders.

"Are you nuts? Are you screwed in the head April?!" He is bewildered. Something in his tone tells me that I might have done the biggest mistake of my life.

"W-whats wrong?" I assume it's not that bad as he is making it sound.

"For Pete's sake ap...Do you even know who he is?" I shake my head confusingly.

"He is in my class." I reply in my defense.

"So what?" He questioned.

It's not working.

"So I sort of know him?" I can't believe how pathetic I am sounding; why the hell did it came out as a question!

"You don't know him." He lets go of my shoulders, sighing, he brushes his hair roughly, it's a sign that shows he is frustrated at the moment.

"And you sold him that house? Just like that?"

"He came to our house after he read my poster, I didn't expect him to you know, besides, it was the last day of the deal, I felt like he saved me from the horrible danger you know, we should be grateful to him, thanks to him tomorrow we will be to face Unc-"

"Whatever Ap! I could have handled Uncle George.... But God do you know what you have done sister?"

"Why are you making it such a big deal?" His anxiousness irritating me now and scaring me too.

"How did he pay? Was it cash?"

"Yeah." I am surprised. How did he guess that?

"Oh God..."

Before we continue our fight any further the doorbell rings, I rush towards it as I know Austin is too tensed to move and open the door.

"Gracie!" I exclaim, but cheerful in my voice dies down soon.

James holds a very drunk Gracie in his arms, she has passed out and her clothes....well they're a bit tiny.

I had no idea she had a dress this small.

"Come in." I let him enter and shut the door behind him.

"I'm sorry April, I should have called you. She was so...she didn't listen to me, I-"

"It's okay James." I give him a small smile before turning around and crash with my brother's metal like torso.

"Ow!" I scream out rubbing my face. What kind body is this?

"Austin!" I cry out.

"Who is he?" Austin's glare leads me towards James, whose face has turn purple by fear.

Oh boy.

"Gracie's friend." I calmly state and make my way out of their weird stare contest; I bring Gracie to her room, after putting her on the bed I get a better look at her.

She looks peaceful and is smiling in her sleep like a love struck puppy.

A smile creep on my lips as I cover her with warm blanket and pull the curtains down. A good amount of sleep will probably help her with the hangover she'll face later on.

"I'm telling the truth. I- I am just her friend r-really I-" James stops stuttering once I enter the living room again.

I eye my brother's stiffened back for a while until he turns around out of curiosity.

"What are you glaring at?" He snaps angrily. From when did he begin to act like a hulk to everyone he saw?

"Stop acting like this at once." I smile at James, poor guy is shaking badly.

"Would like to have some coffee James?" I ask him sweetly but he replies incoherently. I glare at my brother again.

"I should go now.. I have an errand to run... Call me if you need anything." James nervously says and nods at me before exiting through the door.

James Brown is a really nice guy. His heart is as clear as day. I met him a year ago at a random party where Gracie and I went for a change, she already knew him by that time.

"Austin aren't you supposed to find a job here, now that your studies are over?"

I pour my hello kitty cup with excessive amount of coffee and look up expectantly at Austin. I want him to think about something else other than James... or worst the fact that I sold Uncle George's house to a stranger.

"I will find one soon enough, you just wait." Austin mumbles before disappearing upstairs, in his room.

I decide to go back into my room as well, it's a great opportunity for me to catch up on the episodes of anime I've been missing.

Coffee and Anime series

Another best combo of my life.

"Let's dive into the world of wonders! I am so-"

I pause in tracks as I hear the doorbell. Oh great, what now?

I hurry myself towards the door, in frustration I swiftly open the door assuming it must be Jayson who has come with a minor excuse such as he forgot something here yesterday, I angrily snap at the person standing outside the door.

"What is it?!"

"It's study time, Ms. Tutor."

His lips form a devilish smirk, when he registers my shocked expressions.

And Here I was thinking of spending a day with my own self alone in my room.

Curse you, you strikingly hot stranger.
