♦♦♥April♥♦♦
After showering I step out of the slippery bathroom which is twice bigger than my old one. I quickly search for a decent outfit from my bag. When I packed this bag I wasn't really thinking and just tossed anything which was found easily inside and now it's the time to face the consequences.
I don't have anything to wear to school today.
"Damn it." I mutter shuffling through my scattered clothes. When I don't find anything I just decide to wear the same jeans with a different top as I seemed to have packed too many of those.
When I'm holding the said top over my body and looking in the mirror I see a head peeking in through the door. I squeak turning around and the top falls down in process revealing my half covered, wet body. "Get out Christian!"
He is not looking at me but at the plate of omelette on the table but thanks to my scream his eyes follow my voice and fall on me. "Hazel I just.... Oh."
I want to slap myself for being a complete idiot. His eyes are still on me and I feel heat in my body rising up to my cheeks. "What are you staring at?" I clutch the towel in both of hands defensively.
"I,uh, nothing, sorry I was just here to pick up this plate." He points at it making me roll my eyes. "I could have brought that damn plate down Christian, stop acting like you are someone from room service!" This makes him narrow his eyes at me. He scoffs a little before speaking. "Well, I'm not used to live with someone so..sorry." He quietly shuts the door but not before looking at me one last time and I can't help but notice where his eyes linger on my body longer than necessary. Jerk

"This is awesome." Christian says as he chews on his cheesy bacon eggs. Don't judge me I'm a cheese lover and thus add cheese in almost everything I eat, it's healthy.
"Are you professional?" My eyes half roll at his exaggerated question. "No Christian, this is because I have been cooking ever since I was ten." He pauses halfway and his bacon falls down from his fork. "Ten?"
I nod. Even when mom was alive I had to cook as she was busy working at the hospital. She was always on demand as she was famous as a kind and loving doctor . Sometimes she didn't come home for two days straight and it was when Austin and I honed our cooking skills. If you are wondering where my dad was then let me tell you that he was never in the picture for me. He left the house when Austin was five and I was an infant. I asked about him when I realize all my friends have a Dad and I don't but neither mom nor Austin ever told me anything about him. I don't know how he looked like or what he did because there was not a single picture of him in the house and no one talked about him.
I just know he left us when I was born and yes that's all I know about him. Wonderful isn't it?
"Yeah I mean at first I burned a lot of food but gradually I managed to cook food which was okay for our health." I answer shyly feeling his intent gaze on me. He looks beyond surprised which is kind of flattering in a way.
He hums, continuing his breakfast and so do I. Although the thought of my Dad still manages to keep a frown plastered on my face. Christian keeps his eyes on me as usual. God, am I getting used to that? I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing.
A loud sound of horn makes the both of us jump in surprise. "April!" a familiar voice hollers making me sigh. Jayson. "Sorry Christian I don't think I can accompany you to school." I sadly smile at him. I don't even know if he wants to go with me in the first place but something in his eyes made me assume that he wants to.
"No problem." He smiles back. Damn. That. Smile.
I find myself holding back a wide grin as I look at his pretty face smiling. This smile is near to that genuine smile he has in that photo. The smile which shows he is actually happy.

"What's wrong with you?" Jayson nudges my shoulder as I take my regular seat beside him. "Ow! What? Nothing is wrong with me. If someone is wrong in the head here it's you. Do you want Austin to find out that I have decided to live here so soon?" I nudge him back while he glares at me.
"Where is Lee?" I cut him off when he is about reply and his mouth makes a weird sound which vaguely sounds like a groan.
"She has a bad hangover because she drank a huge bottle of coke which was not coke so she's not in a condition to come to school today." He speaks as he twists the key and the car starts.
"Oh my God." I pull out my phone from my pocket quickly typing a small text to Leah asking her how she is feeling and saying sorry for being a selfish bitch.
"Why does she love parties so much? I have to remind her that she is still a sophomore and not a senior." I mutter pressing my face on the closed window glass.
"Her folks don't mind, why do you?"
"Because it's against the law, Jayson. Underage drinking. Drinking basically should be banned in this country for everyone." I shut my eyes trying to hold back tears.
Drinking. That's what have caused the accident in which my mom and boyfriend died. Someone. Someone highly irresponsible person was drunk and driving. I can never forget the fact that it took everything away from me. Just one wrong turn of wheel.
"April we are here." I jerk up and find my cheeks moistening slowly. I wipe them quickly and get out.
As we walk into the corridor I find strange stares following me. I stop myself and everyone quickly looks away. What is happening?
I grab my notes from my locker shutting it loudly behind me. I don't have much classes with Jayson but fortunately we share English and it's the first period today so we both walk towards it and I'm thankful as walking while everyone is staring at you is not something I find amusing. "Why is everyone staring at me?" I whisper to Jayson who is as confused as I am. "I don't have a clue."
"Grey."
My steps stumble a bit as I abruptly stop. Oh is all can think when the person who has never talked to me before stands looking at her bright pink nails like they are some masterpiece and slowly turns her emerald eyes towards me. Meet, Lara Anderson the most popular girl of West Bridge high. Also, that makes her the Queen Bee doesn't it?
"Lara?" I say, dumbfounded.
"I need to talk to you about Christian McKinney." She says stepping closer to me. "I heard you were trying to get close to him? Don't you know, only I have the right to make a move on every new boy who steps on this campus?" Her nails dig inside my cheeks as she clutches my face in her hand.
"Back off Lara, don't you have a class to attend?" Jayson says stepping between us.
"Jayson, my dear this is important." I can clearly see the red hearts bouncing in her eyeballs as she ogles at him. If I haven't told you yet let me tell you Jayson is pretty good looking and by that I mean he has a lot of female fans following him, ogling at him wherever he goes, including Lara. So basically when he takes my side her whole body burns in anger but she has to retreat. At least for now.
"Lara, I said back off. April and Christian has nothing going on." He says rather angrily and pulls my hand and drags me away. I keep staring at him but he doesn't look at me.
"Wait!" Lara screeches from behind. Here I was thinking she would retreat.
Jayson speeds up making me run as well but both of us crash on someone and stop. Of all people it's Cyrus Bishop and I instantly regret coming to school today. Lara grabs me from behind and before I know what's happening I'm pulled inside a ladies washroom which is conveniently near. A hand wraps around my mouth and dark green eyes glare intently at me.
"Don't try to shout or run away because I know your little secret." She growls, her hand still tight on my mouth and her sweet perfume is disgusting me.
"You are living with Christian, aren't you?"
