Chapter 39: Blue-Eyed Ninja

🍪Ellie's P.O.V

"Tell me where their hideout is!"

I felt another punch delivered to my stomach and a pained groan left my lips. My breathing was ragged and it freaking hurts to breath.

I don't know how long this has been going on, All I remember was being shaken up with my body tied to a chair before questions are being thrown at me.

Alex, Rody, and a woman that I wasn't familiar with was the one interrogating me. Alex is the one who throws the questions and the woman is the one who hits me when I remain silent.

"Are you fucking deaf? I told you that I don't know anything!" I gritted out, earning a slap at that.

My body felt like it was on fire, especially on my stomach. I've been punch there a few times now and the side of my face is swollen as well.

Alex stepped closer to me."Where is their fucking hideout?" He leaned in sightly, his eyes boring in mine.

I spat on his face, glaring at him."You need to get your ears checked buddy, I said I don't know fucking shit."

This time, it was him who backhanded me and I felt my lip split at the force. The taste of blood greeted my senses and I couldn't help but let out a laugh.

"No matter how many times you hit me, my answer will be the same so lets stop wasting our time here and let me go." I smiled coyly, knowing my bloody teeth were on display.

Alex let out a frustrated growl, ruffling his hair. The woman turned to him, speaking in another language that I wasn't familiar with.

What's up with all these people knowing how to speak in a different language while I'm here struggling to even speak my own language.

Alex nodded at her before turning to me. A fake smile erupting on his face before he caressed my cheek gently making me recoil at his touch.

"We aren't done here yet love, consider this a break." He blew me a kiss before turning around and walking out of the room.

The woman was left behind and she untied the rope that was around me and on my hands. My body hurt like shit so I immediately fell to the floor because I didn't have the energy to keep my body up.

She then took a chain that was attached on the bed and chained one on my feet. The woman walked out of the room, the door closing behind her with the sound of lock.

I curled my body with a small grunt, the pain like pins and needle were sticking into my whole body. I let out a few tears, trying to catch my breathing.

I pressed a hand on where my ribs were and almost let out a small scream at the jolt of pain. I think I broke a rib, shit. I just hope that it doesn't puncture any of my internal organs.

Was this the end for me? I thought before Jessica slapped my brain. No. You will not die, there's no way you'll die like this.

At that thought, determination entered my system. Why the hell am I thinking like this? This ain't some fairy tale book where I hope to get saved.

No, this is reality and my reality is that I have to save myself. I'm fucking woman for peanut's sake and women can endure through anything.

I can do this.

I took deep breaths before forcing my body in a sitting position. Just like the first room, there wasn't any windows. A bed is the only furniture here and the door that leads to my freedom.

My phone wasn't here and they probably threw it along the way meaning I didn't have any chance of communicating with someone.

I moved my body where the bed was and leaned my frame against it, staring at the door with my legs sprawled straight.

I didn't know how long I stayed like that, thinking of plan when the door unlocked, Rody carrying a tray of food entered the room.

I threw a glare at him which he returned and lowkey scared me shitless but of course, I ain't telling him that.

"Sleeping beauty is up." He muttered, bending down to place the tray beside me. I glanced at the food and felt my stomach grumble in hunger.

"Thank you for still considering me beautiful despite looking like I got hit by a truck." I replied, staring at him.

Just like that, an idea came into my mind. A scowl formed in his face when he noticed I wasn't making a move to touch the food.

"I'll be back in fifteen minutes and the choice is yours if you end up dying because of hunger." He snapped, before turning around and walking out of the room.

I immediately took a hold the tray and pulled it gently towards me, it was a bowl of steaming chicken noodle soup and a glass of water.

Obviously, I have to set my pride aside and eat this if I want to escape. I need energy and somehow this is my only choice, for now.

I finished it up hurriedly, occasionally glancing at the door. I dug my hands into the pocked of my sweatpants and let out a grin when my hand came in contact with the tiny object.

I pulled my feet up and inserted the bobby pin into chain, trying to unlock it. I grinned happily when I heard the lock click before it came undone.

I stood up, ignoring the fact that my body was screaming curses at me. Taking the tray, I swung it around feeling hype.

I ain't a ninja but a girl knows how to maneuver her way around using a bobby pin. I quickly made my way where the door was and hid beside it.

I took a deep breath, calming my heart that was beating abnormally. You can do this Ellie. Imagine you're a ninja and gonna kick your enemy's ass. Jessica cheered.

I nodded to myself, readying my stance. When the knob started to jiggle, I took a deep breath before waiting for Rody to enter.

The idiot did but he didn't notice my missing state since he was looking down on his phone, watching something.

Dumbass.

I let out a ninja cry, making him look up and was met by the tray smacking on his head with a loud bang.

He fell to floor immediately, groan escaping his lips. Noticing he was still conscious, I started to smack him on the head with tray repeatedly until he was unconscious.

I then pulled his body where the chain was and clasped each one of his feet. Pulling the blanket from the bed, I tied it around his mouth and made sure that it didn't interfere with his breathing.

I gently wipe the beads of sweat on my forehead before nodding to myself. I picked his phone up on the floor and took the keys from the door and locked it completely.

Sadly, his phone had a passcode and I stuffed it into my pocket instead. It seems that I was in the second floor and most likely all of them are downstairs.

I looked around the hallway and noticed that there was a window a few doors away, light shining through it.

I made my way to the window hurriedly and breathed a sigh of relief when it was open. It seems that this window was facing the backyard.

I could make out the trees that were scattered that would make it hard for them to track. At the edge of the mini forest was the beach and I could make out people that were sunbathing.

The jump wasn't that high and there were many bushes that would hopefully soften the blow of my jump.

"Hey!" I jumped in surprise and turned to my left and saw a man coming up towards me.

Andrenaline rushed to me and I looked at the window, took a deep breath and jumped out of the window with the tray protecting my head.

I let out a small scream before landing on one of  the bushes, feeling some torns dig into my clothes.

By now, my ribs were screaming at me but this was not the time to dwell on it. I heard a loud shout resonate from behind me and I ran into the forest, throwing the keys behind.

That would sure buy me some time.

I didn't know how long I was running, my hair falling off its messy bun and now gently whip past me as the wind grew stronger and the scent became saltier.

My legs felt like they were about to melt when I finally saw it. The beach. The afternoon heat made me sweat even more and it was packed with people.

I placed my head down, making sure not to make eye contact with anyone. I bumped into a few people and didn't know how long I was walking until I passed by a familiar diner.

I was surprised people weren't wondering why a girl that looked like hell came bursting throught the forest and was now walking like her ass was on fire.

It just shows how people tend to become ignorant when it doesn't involve them.

My heart almost felt like it was gonna leap out of my chest, I stole occasional glances behind me to make sure I wasn't followed.

I entered the store, my hands trembling in fear and panic. Jeff looked up from the counter with a smile but it was soon replaced with a bewildered look.

"Ellie? Is that you?" He immediately made his way towards me.

He glanced behind me before hurriedly making his way towards his door and twisting the open sign into a close one.

"Yes, I-it's me Jeff. I-Help, please, I got kidnapped." I stammered out, feeling him wrap a protective arm around my shoulders.

"Calm down Ellie, you're safe. What happened?" He lead me to one of the chairs behind the counter and made me sit.

"I got kidnapped and managed to escape them. Their beach house isn't far from here." I sniffled, taking a deep breath and wincing in pain.

I can't exactly tell him the full details about the rivalry gang. I wasn't sure if he knew but I had to be careful.

He took his phone out, seeming to text someone."I sent a text to Alec. We aren't safe here then, we need to go." He worriedly said.

I reeled in my urge to cry and nodded at him. He then doubled check around his store before and handed me a jacket before leading me out of the store and locking it up.

I didn't bother wearing the sleeves of the jacket and just wrapped it around my frame, pulling the hood up to cover my head.

I couldn't help but feel guilty that he had to close early and lose possible customers.

Jeff placed a protective hand on my upper back, guiding my shaking body towards the parking lot and leading me to his car.

He looked around cautiously before placing his key into the ignition and swiftly driving away."We're going to my house Ellie. My wife can patch you up." He told me, glancing at me.

The adrenaline from earlier was still there but it wasn't that strong like before, I could feel fatigue catching up to me and my body was extremely sore.

I'm kind of proud at myself. Should I go audition for the next female lead in MIB or something?

"Rest easy now Ellie, you're gonna be okay." Jeff gave me a knowing look, his lips pulled into a grim line.

I offered him a small smile but somehow still felt alert, taking in my surroundings and where we were going.

We pulled up to modern two-storey house and parked his red pick up truck in haste. He gently lead me out of his car and into his house.

"Tesoro! Get the first aid kit now!" Jeff exclaimed, closing the door behind us and locking it.

I glanced around the living room, seeing that it was your typical one except there were chewed stuff toys scattered on the ground.

I breathed out a sigh of relief, feeling the soft couch against my bruised body. I jumped slightly when I felt someone gently nip on my hand.

My opened briefly, meeting the gaze of a cute golden retriever."That's Jamie, our dog." Jeff introduced, patting the dog's head.

"Who did you end up fighting again my lo—Ellie? What happened to you?" Janice rushed to me, holding the first aid kit.

I could bet on my big toe that I looked like the woman from the conjuring when they were trying to pull her out of the house.

Yep, I looked like death.

Jeff and her seemed to do the talking through eye contact before Janice nodded and gently kneeled beside me.

Jeff excused himself and made his way upstairs, beckoning Jamie to follow him leaving Janice and I alone.

I offered her a weak smile."Hi Janice, its nice to see you again. I think my ribs are broken." I told her, making her smile sadly.

"May I dear?" She asked, gently lifting my shirt up.

I nodded, closing my eyes and letting out a ragged breath when I felt her gently probe around my ribs.

"Thankfully, its only one rib Ellie and it'll heal in a few weeks. I'll put some ice on it and get you some pain killers." Janice told me, standing up briefly.

I offered her a smile, feeling myself drift into sleep but was startled awake when a pounding on the door was heard.

Just like that I felt my muscles tense and forced my eyes to open. Janice stood in front of me protectively and Jeff came bounding down the stairs.

I wasn't even surprise when I saw he had a gun on his hand, Jamie following behind him with her ears perked up.

Jeff didn't waste a second and opened the door, pointing the barrel of the gun at Alec who had his hand mid-air as if to knock again.

Jeff immediately put it down, glaring at him slightly."You idiot, why didn't you use the doorbell like a normal person would do? Geez." He stepped aside, letting Alec in.

Chase and Connor popped up behind him, giving a manly hug to Jeff while Alec glanced around the room before making eye contact with me.

When my eyes met his familiar ones, I couldn't help but let out a happy sob. The feeling of relief entering my system at the sight of my skittle.

The thought of not being able to see him again nor the pack of skittles or my family again were the very reason why I managed to escape.

They make me strong, all of them.

Alec looked like he had gone through the night without sleep, his hair was a complete mess and bags were present under his eyes but he looked handsome nonetheless.

"Biscotto," He breathed out, making his way towards me.

Considering the height difference and my current state, Alec kneeled in front of me and opened his arms wide for a bear hug.

I nestled my head in the crook of his neck, crying softly while wrapping my arms around him tightly.

Home.

Alec placed a hand behind my head, pressing a soft kiss at the side of my head."I'm so sorry baby. You're safe now, skittle will protect you." He whispered softly, his voice slightly hoarse.

I couldn't help but half-laugh and cry at his words, it usually annoys him when I call him skittle.

Alec continued to whisper words of reassurance to my ear, rubbing a comforting hand on my back.

When I finally pulled my head away from him, I noticed that we were left alone and given privacy.

Alec pushed my hair behind my ears that was sticking to my wet face and wiped my tears away, careful not to apply pressure on my bruised face.

I opened my mouth, ready to explain what happened when he shushed me."I know biscotto and I'm sorry that I failed to protect you, again." He said, his voice filled with guilt.

I felt thankful that he didn't push me to speak about it, I wasn't ready yet and I need time to think things through.

I didn't know wether I should tell him the truth behind my captors. Knowing him, he'll take this hardest considering they were both his friends.

A frown marred my features at his words."It was no one else fault but the one's behind this skittle. Don't blame yourself." I replied, my voice sounding like a guy who had been doing drugs since he was in his 20s.

He sighed, standing up from his position."Let's get you cleaned up, you need to rest asap." Alec said, turning to look at Janice who came bounding behind him.

"You can sleep in one of our guest room Ellie, I'll patch you up there." Janice smiled gently.

I was about to reply when Alec bent down, placing his hand behind my back and legs before carrying me bridal style and followed after Janice.

My cheeks heat up at his action and I could't help but feel thankful of the bruises that hid it. I slung my arm around his neck, a knowing look on his face.

"This was supposed to be for our wedding night but considering the circumstances, this is a valid excuse." Alec smirked, earning a pinch from me that made him yelp lightly.

"Who said I was gonna marry you?" I shot back, earning an eye roll from him.

"There's no one else that could keep up with your dramatic and emotional ass baby, only me." He cheekily replied, making me pout.

"Leave my pancake ass out of this," I grumbled, making him chuckle lightly.

Alec didn't seem bothered that he was carrying me and could feel his muscles flexing beneath me.

We entered a room that had a decent size bed and a bathroom. Janice turned to look at us, her eyes twinkling.

"You can place her on the toilet seat Alec, I'll run her a warm bath to soothe her muscles." She said, making her way towards the bathroom.

Alec followed after her, placing me on the toilet seat gently. I saw a glimpse of my self in the mirror and almost cried at how terrifying I look.

The woman from the conjuring couldn't even half at how terrifying I looked. Damn and Alec still wants to date me?

"I'll be downstairs biscotto, I need to make a few calls." He said, placing a peck on my forehead.

"Wait, this might help." I fumbled around my pocket, taking a hold of Rody's phone and handing it to him.

He gave me a surprise look, question evident in his face. I couldn't help but feel proud of myself, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Don't even ask, woman are better at gathering evidences than guys anyways." I smirked, thinking back to my bobby pin and tray.
