Chapter 28: Date Crashers

🍪Ellie's P.O.V

"We have a problem blue, not like just a problem but a problem that could cost the entire book problem," Todd stated, standing beside me.

I quickly stuffed my things in my locker, not in the mood to be organized. We all have that day where we like try to organize everything and there's everyday where we're like 'ah fuck it' and stuffs everything in.

I closed my locker quite harshly, a few people glancing at us. I turned to Todd who was puffing his chest like a gorilla and shoulders square.

It was quite funny considering he was wearing a hot pink turtleneck that contrasted nicely on his tan skin, a black fitted pants, and a leather jacket.

He's the only guy that I've known that could pull off such color. Todd looked good in his new hair cut, his curls in a neat mess.

"I don't remember being present when this said problem occurred so that's your problem," I flatly told him.

Todd frowned,"Well, I'm involving you in this problem. Please blue! This is not a drill!" He exclaimed, pulling at his curls.

I crossed my arms across my chest,"Todd, last time you told me we had a problem. You were referring to the fucking ballpen you left behind on the bus wherein you made me wait in the bus stop to ask every single bus until the last one to ask wether they found your ball pen or not," I reminded him, my expression completely blank.

Todd huffed,"It was indeed a problem blue! Without a ball pen, how can I write? How can I answer? How can I listen? What do I stuff my mouth into when the teacher's making me bored?" He defended, his hands doing weird hand gesture.

I shook my head at him, before turning around and started to walk away. Sensing that he wasn't following, I turned around to raise a brow at him.

"I don't have all day Todd," I let out a sigh, earning a triumphant smile on his face.

He immediately went up beside me, throwing an arm across my shoulder and started to tell me what the 'problem' is about.

"It's Chase," He started off, ignoring the stare of the few students who passed by us.

I turned to him,"What about Chase?" I felt my brows furrowed, growing worried at the mention of his name.

Is this the business that Alec had to do after class? He skipped last period and texted me, apologizing that he can't fetch me home and he had something important to do.

He let out a deep sigh,"I know, I was really worried when I found out. Even Valentino is panicking!" He revealed, earning a glare from me.

"Just fucking tell me Todd," I growled out, growing impatient.

"Valentino told me that Chase is taking someone out for a date," He said, looking at me so serious that it made me stop walking.

Todd pulled his arm away, throwing them up in the air like 'finally'."See? I knew you would totally agree that this is a problem!" He let out a relieved sigh.

Honestly, hearing Chase and a date in the same sentence is quite a surprise but what surprised me the most is how seriously Todd addressed it as problem.

"What's wrong if Chase goes out on a date?" I thought out loud, my brows furrowing in confusion.

The smile slipped out of his face. Todd gave a me an 'are you serious look' making me feel quite stupid for asking.

Todd took a hold of both my shoulders,"The sentence alone is all wrong Blue. You're a girl right?" He asked, continued walking.

I threw him an offended look,"You think I'd kiss Alec if I wasn't?" I scoffed, pushing him lightly.

He chuckled,"I was making sure. You have a huge rule in the mission we are about to do," He announced.

"Wait, what? mission?" I asked, throwing a wary look at him.

"The SCD mission blue, it's very confidential and only the most eligible are trusted with it." He said, making his towards a car.

I stopped in my tracks, taking in the sight of a red minivan that was parked.

"What the hell?" I exclaimed, eyeing the car in disbelief.

Todd stood beside it, patting the hood gently."This guy right here is a part of our disguise blue. Don't worry, this isn't mine. I only rented it," He said, waving his hand in the air and opening the driver's seat.

Without wasting a second, I slid in the passenger seat. My nose twitching at the new car smell that met my senses.

"What does SCD stands for Todd? Shit, What trouble did I sign myself in?" I face palm, pulling the seat belt on.

Todd leaned back in his seat, looking completely ridiculous. I bit my lip, trying to stop the laugh that wanted to escape me.

"Blue, it's fucking obvious. SCD stands for Spectating Chase's Date," He explained, rolling his eyes.

"What?! We can't do that Todd. That's stalking!" I protested, shaking my head profusely.

"Nope, we're called spectators and that's a completely different spelling from stalkers." Todd reasoned out, placing the key on inside the ignition.

I snorted. That explanation is complete bullsht but I'm not gonna tell him that."And how do I fit into this Todd?"

"You blue, have to use your girl senses and help us determine wether Chase likes this girl or not." He said, giving me a wide smile.

I nodded, that's why he asked me wether I was a girl. Wait, we?

"We? You mea—"

The door in the back seat opened, another figure taking the seat and slid the door close, pulled the seat belt on before looking up to us.

"I'm sorry I'm late," Valentino said, a wide grin forming on his lips.

"I'm so fucking doomed," I groaned, touching my head with my hands.

"That's just rude sweet cheeks!" Valentino frowned, smacked me gently on the back of my head.

"Hey! No violence," Todd paused,"Well, unless it's the girl that Chase is going out with then no problem at all!" Todd announced, nodding to himself.

"How the fidsticks are we going to know where they're going?" I asked, Todd starting to back away from the parking space.

Val took his phone out, a smug grin on his lips. A strand of hair fell on his forehead and I quickly leaned in to push it back.

"That's why we have a Connor for a reason," He pointed out, seeming to type something in his phone.

"Where are we headed V?" Todd asked, glancing at him briefly from the rear view mirror.

"According to Connor, they're in the mall," Val answered, looking up from his phone.

"How does Connor know? Does he work for that like satellite machiggy where they can track everyone's location?" I question, leaning back in my seat.

Val chuckled,"He's a tracker sweet chick, the best I've known and I managed to convince him to put a tracker on Chase's phone," He answered, a proud smile on his face.

"Do you know the girl he's meeting with?" Todd piped in, shifting gears occasionally.

Val shook his head,"I wish, that girl wouldn't live to see another day," A sly smile gracing his features.

Okay, I don't know but are they both jealous right now? I'm really questioning their sexuality right now.

"Are you guys gay?" I asked, looking at them back and fort."There's nothing wrong with it, I love gays. They're sassy and adorable at the same time." I piped in, not wanting to offend them.

V and Todd glanced at one another before nodding."Gay for Chase!" They exclaimed, before bursting into laughing.

I glanced at them in amusement, shaking my head at their antics. A lopsided smile gracing my features.

"Oh! Before I forget, you should put these on sweet chick. We have to be subtle in our attire," Val said, before taking out various wigs, sunglasses, and hats on his bag.

I glanced at it before turning back to him,"I'm not even gonna ask how," I muttered, taking the wig from him.

I stifled a laugh, the wig was absolutely ridiculous. It was a rainbow color and ends above mid-back, it curls in the end making it quite real.

"The color itself is enough to catch their attention V," I protested, putting it on.

Todd shook his head,"Trust me, Chase's focus is as bad as his eye sight," He mused out.

I turned to V letting out a loud laugh, he had a fake mustache on and his hair was in afro wig with shades on.

"Why hahahhaa Val you look hahahaha absolutely ridiculous!" I said in between laugh, my head tilting back slightly.

He started to massage his mustache using his thumb and pointed finger."Fashionably Ridiculous!" He winked, making me laugh harder.

I started to wheeze, slapping Todd's arm making him swerve in surprise."BlUe! You do not and I mean not in a million years hit the driver while driving!" He exclaimed, casting me a scolding look.

The drive was filled with teasing and laughter between the three of us. I was laughing so hard that I feel like my abs were starting to grow out.

Todd and Valentino were like dumb and dumber making me the dumbest for involving myself with them and this suicide mission.

I can't imagine how piss Chase will be when he catches us. Ugh and here I thought I could sleep with my bed for 12 hours straight.

The guard gave us a suspicious look as soon as we entered the mall. Todd gave him a wink saying ''I know, we're hot but please refrain yourself from checking us out.' earning a red face from the guard.

"Oh hell no, they're gonna watch a movie! Let's go!" Val said, looking at his phone.

"V, I think you should take off your sunglasses. People are staring," I pointed out, seeing a group of 14 years old staring at us.

"Sweet chick, they're staring because they've never seen such a devastating hot and gorgeous guys before," V glanced at me, entering the cinema area.

We couldn't spot them at first but when I did, my eyes did a double take at what I saw. I leaned closer to Todd, my eyes squinting.

"Is that—"

"Alec?" Todd asked out loud.

We were a few distance away from them. Chase and Alec were standing at the cashier, along with two girls that seemed to be with them.

The girls were holding what seemed to be popcorns and drinks. I couldn't make out their features well but I knew they were twins and were quite a beauty with their onyx eyes and blonde hair. Okay, We'll call them beauty and beast.

Beauty was talking animatedly to Chase who listening attentively to what she said, Alec took the tickets from the cashier and started walking away with their group.

I couldn't help but feel annoyed when beast tried to loop her hand around my skittle's arm but he avoided it and walked faster instead.

"We're renaming this mission as Eliminating beauty and beast or EBAB," I growled out, earning a gulp from the two guys behind me.

"What are you guys waiting for? Let's go!" I demanded, pulling them both towards the same cashier.

Todd worked his charms on the lady and managed to get the same tickets that they picked out. We then bought some food because might as well enjoy the movie while we think of ways to kill them, kidding, not really.

When we entered the room, it was quite dark. Soft chatters can be heard and I was struggling to make them out all the while trying not to trip.

"They're in the middle, let's take a seat a few rows behind them." Val whispered, nodding to the seat behind them.

We sat two rows behind them and was completely aligned with them. I was in the middle of Todd and Valentino, who was eyeing Chase and Beauty like a hawk.

I was stuffing some popcorn in my mouth, my eyes taking note of how beast was trying to share a popcorn with Alec.

Beast was trying hard to strike a conversation with him but Alec was having none of it and pulled out his phone instead.

I nodded in satisfaction. Yes skittle, be a good boy and don't let that beast close to you, I thought.

"I didn't know Alec would be here," Todd leaned in, whispering the words softly for the both of us.

"I didn't know either, did you know about this sweet chick?" V asked, drinking from his coke.

I snorted,"If I would've known, that idiot in there wouldn't live to see another day." I darkly said.

Val looked at me wide eye,"Sometimes, I see Alec's dark side in you and it freaks me out," V shuddered, stuffing his mouth with a popcorn.

My phone buzzed indicating that I had a text. I quickly took it out, seeing it was a text from Alec.

I glanced at him, seeing that he had his head down. Beast was leaning in slightly to see what he was doing making him swiftly lean away from her.

"Why are you so far away Alec? Come closer," Beast said, making my left eye twitch. Alec acted like he didn't hear it, earning an annoyed huff from her.

What's the matter? and Todd drove me. I miss you too x

I smiled discreetly, seeing Alec immediately looking down to his phone after I hit send. I glanced at Chase and Beauty who were talking to themselves quietly.

"I'm not familiar with them, do they live next town?" I asked Val, my brows furrowing.

Unlike Beast who was trying to cling on Alec, Beauty was the complete opposite. I could tell that they were familiar from the way Chase let beauty rest her head on his shoulder.

"They do look familiar but I'm not sure where I've seen them somewhere," Val answered, earning nod from me.

I glanced back at them, there was indeed something that I can't seem to pinpoint between them.

I giggled quietly at my joke, locking my phone before leaning back in my seat. The movie was starting and although we were in a mission, I wanted to enjoy the movie.

Halfway through the movie, I was growing annoyed. I now completely understand why some girls would choose horror movie when they're with guys.

Beast was currently clutching unto Alec's arm, hiding her face in his shoulder whom was trying to pull his shoulders away. She's been letting out a few squeak of surprises every time a scare scene came up.

Todd was eyeing me cautiously, noticing my angry state. He rolled his eyes, before taking one popcorn out of his box.

He didn't waste a second before taking one out and throwing it at her head. Valentino glanced and grinned before doing the same thing.

At the end of the movie, there were a few popcorns that got stuck to her hair and her clothes, it didn't help that it was caramel popcorn and it was quite sticky.

We were laughing to ourselves as we went out of the theater before they could and was waiting a few meters for them at the exit.

They all walked out, Alec had an annoyed expression on his face and beast was following behind him like a lost puppy.

Chase was smiling at Beauty and started to make their way towards the mall's cafeteria. We followed them at a respectable distance.

"How's your observation so far blue? You think he likes her?" Todd asked, eyeing a pair of shoes that we passed by.

I fixed my wig, earning a few weird glances from the people."I can tell they're familiar but it isn't the type of sweet thing like a couple," I commented, my eyebrows furrowing.

"Beast keeps on hitting after your man though sweet chick," Val pointed out, winking at a girl who stared at him.

I shrugged,"As long as Alec doesn't reciprocate the feeling it's okay."

I wasn't the jealous type, well, I am sometimes but I try not to. Jealousy is a toxic attitude that can harm not only your mind but the people that surrounds you.

Jealousy sprouts when there's insecurity and lack of belief. I think being confident in your self-worth and to the people around you are something that cuts it's possibility of sprouting.

There are times that I'm bothered by my body but ever since Todd gave me that makeover and push me to wear clothes that I usually don't wear, made me learn to embrace myself and be more comfortable in my body and choice of outfit.

"You know what? Let's ditch this mission and go on a friendate!" Val said, steering us away from them.

"What? But I tho—" I gave them one last glance before turning to him.

"I want to eat a burrito!" Todd announced, Val pulling us in a random restaurant.

Thankfully, they did have burrito which made Todd really happy. Valentino got some hash brown sandwich and I got some spicy beef bowls.

It totally slipped my mind that we were wearing wigs which earned quite a few stares from the other customers.

"I'm curious, how did you managed to put a tracker on Chase's phone?" I asked, looking up from my food to stare at Val.

Chase wasn't the type of person who lets others borrow his phone. He's extremely protective of his stuff, even his car wasn't driven by any of the pack of skittles before.

"I sneaked in his room while he was in the shower." He grinned, a proud expression on his face.

I laughed lightly, of course. I should have known that Valentino would have the guts to do that to him.

Chase's completely sweet but he gets easily annoyed. Although I've never seen him lost his temper before, I heard from Hayden that it wasn't a good sight.

"I want to drive his car," Todd revealed, clapping his hands together in excitement.

Val clasped a hand on his shoulder,"Goodluck with that, I've been his friend since he was a thin bean and he never lets anyone drive his car," He shrugged.

Todd smirked,"One of these days, I'll drive that baby of his." He promised, taking a bite out of his burrito.

"Seriously though, what's wrong with Chase dating someone?" I asked, glancing at them both.

"There's nothing wrong with it sweet chick. He's been through a lot and we don't want him to end up with some shitty girl," He shrugged, wiping the corner of his lips from the sauce.

I awed mentally, finding their friendship literally goals. We ate our food quite quickly since we wanted to get to our car first before them so that we could tail them but it seems that they were already in the parking lot.

"That's funny," Val mused out, not taking his gaze off the phone screen.

"What's funny?" Todd wondered, glancing at him.

"They're not moving," He mumbled, his brows furrowing. They glanced at one another briefly before walking hurriedly.

I let out a shiver at the cold air that greeted us once we were out. My legs were trying to catch up with their fast strides.

The lighting in the mall's parking lot was absolutely shitty but I could make out a few figures in the distance.

I let out a surprised gasp when we managed to get a closer distance at them. Chase was kneeling and was being repeatedly punch by two guys while Alec was trying to break free in the grasps of the other two.

I felt a sense of deja vu flood my system. Remembering the time where the girls and I were cornered."What's up with this bad guys jumping people in alleyways and parking lots?" I mumbled.

They all wore black outfit and I felt my heart thud lightly upon seeing the familiar black mask that fitted their face.

Beast and Beauty was on the ground crying, a tall girl stood beside them. I couldn't help but feel anger, seeing her hand fisting beauty's hair painfully.

"Excuse me but I think you should think twice before doing that," Valentino called out to them, making them stop and look up.

"Who the fuck are you? I suggest you walk away with your afro hair and mind your business fucker," One of the guys punching Chase hissed.

Valentino's expression grew dark at his words, his green eyes turning a shade darker in fury before a cold smile graced his lips.

He pulled his afro wig off, earning an alarmed look between the four guys."I'm Valentino Fedeli but they know me as their friend."

One minute, they were in front of me and the second, a full on brawl has erupted in the parking lot.

I glanced at beauty and beast, seeing them being dragged away by the lady. I stepped infront of them, offering a polite smile to her.

"Hi, yeah uh, I'm sorry but I'm not letting you leave with those two." I said, glancing at the two crying girls.

The woman, or black as I nicknamed her considering I can't see anything but that black mask of her glared at me.

"You ain't no match for me bitch, step aside." She demanded, her lip curling in a sneer.

"Hell yeah we aren't a match, I'm planning to beat the tabernacle out of you." I scoffed, taking a stance.

She seemed anger by this before she pushed beauty and beast to the ground harshly and throwing a punch my way.

My reflexes kicked in and I quickly ducked but she was one fast bitch and kicked me hard in the stomach.

I let out a grunt before throwing a mean right hook on her face that made her recoil in surprise. I quickly took a hold of her shoulders before pulling her down and driving my knee into her stomach.

She gasped in pain, taking a hold of my hair but paused when my wig came off. That earned me quite a distraction and slammed my head unto hers.

Ah shit, head buts hurts a lot!

I felt dizzy and my nose burned but I ignored it and push her roughly away, she stumbled back from the impact and threw my wig on the ground before taking something out of her shirt.

"Ah fuck," I muttered, eyeing the knife before leaning my body to the other side when she tried to stab me.

I stepped back quickly before doing a small kick on her arm, she hissed letting go of the it, the knife falling to the ground.

We both glanced at each other before diving in to take a hold of the it. I quickly kicked the knife away from us, took a hold of her head before slamming her head on the concrete ground, hard.

Blood splattered on the ground from her impact before she elbowed me harshly earning a grunt from me and I stumbled back in surprise.

She took that as her chance and made her way towards the knife. Hell no, I ran after her before jumping on her back and wrapped my legs around her waist and my arms on her neck tightly.

Yes! Beat that bitch! Yes! Yes! Jessica cheered.

I let out a groaned, both of us falling on the ground and feeling a few pebbles digging in my back and arms. I tightened my hold on her neck, cutting her airways completely.

She smacked my arm repeatedly and tried to hit me but I held tighter before she passed out. I breathed heavily, letting go of her and pushed my body in a sitting position.

I mentally did a fist pump, thanking the author up there for Sage's training. I glanced at the pack of skittles to see Valentino beating the guy up earlier.

The rest was pulling their passed out bodies and I couldn't help but grimace upon seeing the blood spew out at the force of V's punch.

Valentino was one scary guy when he wants to be.

Alec made his way towards me, pulled me up and hugged me towards him tightly. He had his hand press against the back of my head with his arm around my waist tightly.

I could feel his heart hammering against his chest, his hand gently drawing circles on my waist. He was completely tense and I knew I somehow had him worried.

"Don't worry! My nose hurts but I put that bitch in place. Sage's training session completely paid off," I told him, my voice muffled from his clothes.

He pulled back, glaring at me."I'm not even gonna ask why you're here considering you're with those two idiots," He grumbled, before pulling me back to his chest.

"T-Thank you for saving us."

I pulled away from Alec at the sound of a soft and hesistant voice. I glanced at Beauty who came closer to us, her twin behind her with a blank expression.

"It's nothing, you're okay right? Any injuries?" I asked out, turning my body to them.

Alec still had an arm wrapped around my waist and didn't seem to have any intentions on letting me go any sooner. I rolled my eyes when I felt him pull my side closer to his front quite possesively.

Beauty shook her head,"No injuries. I'm Jada and this is my twin, Java. We're Chase's cousins." She introduced, offering me a friendly smile.

"It's nice to meet you guys! I'm Ellie Haven," I chirped, returning their smile with my own before I paused. Did she just say c0Usins?

I remember the morning after I slept on Alec's house that Chase mentioned he picked up his cousins from the airport and I guess this was them.

"Wait, so if you're cousins then that completely throws the idea of you guys dating out of the window," I thought out loud, earning an appalled look from the three.

"Out of the freaking window indeed, hahaha we're just visiting and wanted to hang out with Chase. We don't get to see him much," She explained, an amused smile gracing her features.

"And besides, we're just sixteen and shouldn't be dating but age doesn't matter right Alec?" Beast or rather Java piped in, a flirty expression on her face.

I couldn't help but grow surprised at this. They were just sixteen? Dang. Their faces looked completely adult like and the fact that they're taller than me was impossible to guess their real age.

Yeah, my confidence just went down a teensy bit down.

"Wait, so you're not on a date date?" Valentino walked over to us, his knuckles quite bloody and bruised.

The both shook their heads. Todd who seemed to be listening in on us walked towards Val and slapped his back quite harshly.

"You are a complete dumb ass Val. It can't be considered as a date when they're relatives!" Todd reprimand, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Ow! I didn't know they were cousins tadpole!" Val defensively said, rubbing the spot where he was slapped.

"Then how did you know he was going on a date?" I piped in, my brows furrowing.

"The answer is they just assumed," Chase's angry voice had turn all our heads to him.

Todd sighed,"Technically it was Valentino who assumed seeing that he was the one who told me," He corrected, throwing an accusing look to V.

"Chase told me he was gonna meet someone and Chase Devion doesn't meet with anyone!" Valentino defended, a pout growing on his face.

"Don't tell me you fucking zoned out on the part where I mentioned with my cousins Val," Chase growled out, annoyance on his voice.

Val chuckled nervously."Did you really mention them? I do—Ow! I was just worried for you Chasey Bab—Fuck! Help me Todpole!" Val tried to hid behind Todd's frame, away from Chase who was trying to punch him.

Alec and I glanced at one another, an amused smile graced my features while he merely shook his head in disbelief.

Valentino and Todd may be pissing Chase 24/7 but I knew deep down that Chase wouldn't have it any other way.
