"I can't believe you still have more surprises planned." I commented, eyeing the vast ocean before me.
I closed my eyes in bliss, feeling the salty fresh wind nip on my skin. The sun shone brightly, enjoying the sounds of the waves licking its way up to the shore.
"You deserve it after all the shit I put you through," Alec answered simply, biting his lip.
I shook my head,"Why the beach though?" I asked, the wind forcefully pushing my hair back.
"It's been a long time since I've been in the beach. I missed it and why not spend the day with the person you missed too?" Alec cheekily said, turning to look at me.
"Killing two birds in one stone," I giggled, earning a grin from him.
I glanced around, noticing that it was starting to get crowded. I looked down at both of our attires before pulling on Alec's hand.
"I hate to say this but we're technically not dressed appropriately for the beach," I pointed out, glancing at the half-naked people.
Alec chuckled,"Technically cookie, we are. You just have to take off your clothes," He joked, his blue eyes lit with humor.
"I guess they wouldn't mind my thong clad ass," I shrugged casually, making a move to take off my clothes.
A hand gripped my arm, stopping me completely. I glanced up, meeting Alec's scowl and glowering expression.
"No way in hell are they seeing you like that," He growled at me, earning an amused smile from me.
I wasn't exactly gonna do it, I just wanted to piss him off for even suggesting that idea.
I stood on my tiptoes and patted his cheek,"I was just playing with you. Let's go, we're going to buy an actual bikini," I winked playfully, moving away from him.
🤭
"Why didn't I think this through?" Alec grumbled, a scowl on his face.
I couldn't help but giggle on the inside, walking out of the bikini shop wit Alec acting like a bodyguard. A smug smile was on my face, walking with a little skip on the end.
My hair was tied into a messy bun, wearing the cute bandeau bikini that I fell in love with the moment I laid my eyes on it when we entered the store.
Alec was throwing a tantrum about how it showed my butt cheeks and was annoyed at how the bikini bottom looked good on my ass and that he would totally punch the guy that would dare check me out in it.
His words not mine.
I don't even get why he's throwing a fuss about it, there are other hot women out there that are showing off their booty that were bigger than mine.
Besides, nobody would stare at my ass that's just as big and perky as two pancakes combined.
Alec led me through the throng of people, letting go of my hand and opted to place a hand on my lower back.
We entered a cafe named 'Flo's Food Chain' and I felt my stomach grumble in hunger. I forgot that I haven't eating anything since last night except from the cookies earlier.
It was around eleven when we arrived at the beach and it was now currently twelve thirty. The diner was packed but thankfully, Alec managed to snag a vacant table near the windows.
"What are you gonna order?" Alec asked, eyeing the menu that was already placed on the table.
You, I thought but saying that out loud is clearly not appropriate and off the menu.
I hummed, eyeing the various foods in the menu. "You order first, I can't decide." I said, my eyes not leaving it.
"Good Afternoon! Welcome to Flo's Food Chain! I'm Tiffany and I'll be your waitress for this fine afternoon." A female voice said.
I glanced up, seeing a tall girl wearing a skimpy skirt and a shirt that had the cafe's logo in it. She had dark brown hair and eyes, her face caked with make up.
I felt my lips form into a thin line, noticing her brown eyes that kept fluttering seductively to my bloody half-naked skittle.
"What's your order handsome?" She asked, fluttering her eyelashes at him.
This time I couldn't stop the scowl that formed on my lips. What the hell is up with this squirrel? Can't she see my fine self sitting in front of him?
Alec didn't look up to her and instead stare at me, I didn't notice it because I was busy calming myself down from jumping this squirrel.
"I'll have two spicy beef wrap and a lemonade," He answered, placing the menu down.
A displeased frown etched on her lips when Alec didn't even look at her. She finally turned to me, a sneer gracing her features.
"You?" She asked, giving me a slight glare.
"I'll have your taco stuffed avocados, a vanilla milkshake, and two choco-caramel brownies," I answered, clenching my jaw in annoyance.
"Your orders will be here shortly," She listed it down, turning to give Alec a wink and walking away with her hips swaying.
I glared at her, thinking of ways that I could make her disappear without someone noticing. I turned my attention to Alec, a smirk on his lips.
"Yes?" I asked, rolling my eyes in annoyance.
"As much as it pleases me to see you jealous, I'm not interested at women like her. The only woman I'm interested is the one who's currently glaring at me as if this is my fault," He chuckled, leaning forward to play with my hand.
I huffed,"It's your fault for showing off those sexiness," I pouted angrily, pinching his finger.
Alec indeed looked sexy with his yellow swimming trunks. The color contrasted nicely against his olive skin, his tattoos were on display along with his toned stomach.
He let out a throaty laugh, his head leaning back slightly. Alec's dimples popped up, the corners of his eyes crinkling slightly at his laughter.
"You're fucking adorable woman," He chuckled, placing a kiss on my hand.
"And you're an annoying lump of a human," I shot back, a smile gracing my features.
"Here's your order!" A voice chirped in, earning an annoyed look from me.
That was the fastest order I have ever received. I better not see any raw beef in my avocados pr shit would really go down.
Tiffany started to place our order in the table. Alec was staring at me in amusement while I was gritting my teeth.
After placing everything, she discreetly placed a napkin beside his plate that obviously had her number written on it.
That's it.
I slammed my hand down on the table, making her jump in surprise. Some people glanced at our direction but who the fuck cares? I sure as hell don't.
Alec looked at me with an alarmed expression and merely gave Tiffany a pitied look on what's about to happen.
"Hi, uh, yes hello squirrel. Now that I got your attention, there's this policy called customer's always right right? Which means I'm absolutely right when I tell you that what you're doing is completely rude and wrong. The guy's with me and I suggest you do your job properly or else you're going to be one of the customers here," I raised my chin up high, offering her a daring look.
She gaped at my words, gave me a small bow."I'm so sorry, please excuse me." She mumbled, walking off in shame.
Alec leaned back in his seat, gazing at me with a complete heated look."Fuck biscotto, possessive looks fucking divine on you," He commented, biting his lip.
"What can I say? I don't like sharing what's mine," I shrugged, offering him a sly smile.
He paused, seeming surprised at my words. He probably expected me to blush but surprise surprise, I have my bold moments too.
I'd totally think this through later when I'm in my bed but meh, you gotta live while you're young.
I couldn't help but crack up, seeing a dazed expression on his face.
Definitely worthwhile.
😈
"Damn it, look at my stomach Alec, it's bloated!" I complained, pressing a finger to the small bump on my stomach.
He gave me a side glance,"Don't worry, you still look ravishing cookie," He assured, weaving through the people.
The sun was completely up and the heat blasted full force on us. I hope it'll make me tan but considering my skin, it'll probably only turn red.
We entered a shop of what seems to be full of surf boards where you can rent. I glanced at around, astonished at the unique designs each surf boards had.
"Guess who decided to crawl out of his man cave? Alec! It's nice to see you boy," A man greeted from the corner.
A guy around mid-thirties stood there, he had brown hair and was completely buff. He had tanned skin and a beard that suited his face.
If Ark was here, she'd probably consider him as a DILF.
"Hi Jeff, It's good to see you too." Alec grinned, pulling him in for a man hug.
When they pulled away, his brown eyes meet mine before he let out a low whistle. He clasped a hand on Alec's shoulder.
"So, she's the pretty lady that Janice kept blabbering about earlier on the phone," He chuckled, nodding his head at me.
At the mention of Janice, I glanced at him in surprise. I noticed the ring on his finger and I knew he was her husband.
Cute, a baker and surfer.
Alec sighed,"I'm not even surprise at that. Ellie meet Jeff, he's my old friend and Janice's husband," He introduced, urging me forward.
"Hi, It's nice to meet you. Your wife is a great baker and a teacher," I smiled softly, offering him my hand.
He seemed surprise at this, taking a hold of my hand and shaking it."Likewise Ellie, my wife's indeed amazing," He nodded, a genuine smile gracing his features.
"She has a strong grip King. I like her, tell me you're both dating." Jeff mused out, glancing at Alec.
"He still hasn't deem himself worthy of the title Jeff, so he'll probably have to tell you some other time," I interjected, offering Alec an innocent smile.
Jeff cackled,"Alec, you better not let this one go," He said, regarding me with nod.
"I'm not planning to Jeff," He smiled softly, his eyes meeting mine.
This time, I couldn't stop my cheeks from turning red. My heart fluttering and the stomping of the dinosaurs on my stomach were wild.
"So, What can I help you with?" He asked, regarding us both with a knowing look.
"I'm planning to teach her to surf. I'll rent two surfboards," He explained, glancing around the various surf boards.
I glanced at Alec in surprise, he didn't come off as a surfer to me but I should've known he'd gotten that tan somewhere.
"You're surfboards hidden in back King. Darling, you can go find a surfboard you'd like," Jeff nodded at me, both of them making their way to a door in the far corner.
I proceeded to roam around the store, my eyes scanning the rows of surfboards. At the far end, I spotted white one that was slightly dusted for not seeming to be used for so long. The designs on it were extremely detailed and intricate and I could tell that it was hand-made.
My hands brushed gently against the smooth texture, rubbing unto the design. My eyes caught in a bird that had his wings expanded, a quote below it saying 'Freedom is learning to overcome the wave of life' and an initials beside it stating S.K.
Something about this called to me so I didn't waste a second and picked it up. I didn't struggle that much and I felt smug because I could feel my muscles actually working.
Alec and Jeff were already back, talking to themselves. Alec had his arm wrapped around a grey surfboard that almost had the same design from my chosen. They turned their attention to me, Alec's expression dropping when he saw my surfboard.
"I chose this one," I said, feeling quite nervous all of a sudden.
"Aw, I-I'm sorry Ellie. That isn't for rent because it has an owner," Jeff softly said, an apologetic smile on his features.
"Oh, that's okay Jeff. I could just pick another one," I nodded, picking it up once again.
"I-I'm sure the owner of that wouldn't mind Jeff," Alec interjected, regarding Jeff with an expression I couldn't pin point.
Alec's voice were firm but why did it felt pained and sad? My curiosity spiked up at the way he regarded it, as if he was sure that the owner truly wouldn't mind.
"You're right, he's a kind lad. I'm sure he would appreciate it being used, especially by a pretty one like you." Jeff beamed, a small smile on his face.
"If you guys say so," I wearily nodded, glancing at the surfboard.
"It's on the house King, you and your scelta enjoy the waves," He winked, rejecting Alec's money.
I glanced at him in surprise at the mention of that word. He gave me a cheeky grin, nodding at me. Does that mean he was a gang member too?
"Thanks Jeff, I'll see you later." Alec bid his goodbye before taking the surfboard from me and carrying it on each of his arm.
"Jeff mentioned scelta, does that mean he's a member too?" I asked, my eyes drawn to Alec's flexing muscles.
He grunted softly,"He's an ex-member," He answered shortly, his expression not giving away anything.
I nodded,"Do you know who S.K is? I saw those initials on the surfboard." I asked, the question slipping out of my mouth.
I noticed Alec's muscle tensing at my question, his grip on the surfboard tightening.
"Don't ask me that question," Alec snapped, his voice having a hint of pain.
I bit my lip, feeling surprise at his words. I just nodded mutely, feeling quite guilty.
"I'm sorry cookie. I don't like talking about it but yes, I once knew him." He sighed, a tone of regret on his tone.
"Are you good at surfing? How long have you been doing this?" I changed the topic, giving him a small reassuring smile.
I wasn't the type of girl to press on matters that are clearly a sensitive topic and from Alec's expression, I knew it was one of these.
"I'm quite good at it and I've been doing this since I was young," He answered, giving me a thankful smile.
He placed the surfboards down on the sand, my eyes squinting lightly at the sun's heat. The wind blew gently at us, taking in the beautiful sunny view.
"It's totally okay that I don't know how to swim right?" I paused, untying my messy bun to redo it.
"What?"
Just like that the supposed to be teaching to surf ended in up being swimming lessons. Apparently you have to learn how to swim because it's important if you crash in the waves.
"Stop laughing!" I whined, smacking my palm frustratedly on the water.
Alec was laughing beside me, the water stood around his upper chest while for me, it was deep enough that I had to slightly stand on my tiptoes so that I can breathe.
I can't with this 5'5 legs, ugh.
I was trying to do a flutter kick but was clearly struggling because half of me is ensuring I'm alive and another half of me is making sure that the half of me is doing its job properly.
"You look like a fish out of water biscotto, I can't," Alec laughed harder, enjoying my struggle.
He looked fricking good in the water, his hair was pushed back and droplets of water are glistening on his neck and upper chest. The suns ray were much lighter at this hour and his eyes were mesmerizing against it.
Me however, well, you could just imagine a twig floating in the ocean letting the waves take her wherever it desires.
I glared at him, turning around and half-jumping and walking away from him. I took a deep breath, lifting my head up slightly to bask in the heat.
I opened my eyes when I felt it was being block, Alec stood in front of me with a shit eating grin.
"Come on biscotto, let's try this again." He said, offering me his hand and urging me to do a flutter kick.
I took a hold of both his hands, before trying to do it again while he tried to keep me upright. Time passed by and considering we were both having fun, it was even faster.
"I'll feel like jelly tomorrow." I stated, closing my eyes and letting the waves push me back.
Alec and decided to call it a day and bask in the aftermath of the sun setting. We were occasionally throwing water against each other and would compete on who could stay underwater longer. We talked about different things and he even shared me a few secrets of his.
Apparently, he loves oranges and hates kiwis. He loves to work out in his free time and he smokes when he's pissed or stress. He gets annoyed easily when wearing socks and absolutely hates sponge bob but loves squid ward.
"Thank you," I managed to say, pushing a strand of my wet hair away from my face.
"What for cookie?" He hummed, looking away from the sunset and turning to me.
"For taking me out a date again and for sharing a part of you with me. Everything was worthwhile," I smiled widely, beaming up to him.
Alec looked dazed for a moment, only staring at me with an expression I couldn't decipher before his rare breathtaking smile made its way known, his eyes crinkled slightly and his dimples popped out.
Genuine happiness glimmered in his electrifying blue eyes as he stared in to mine, the sun's soft glow giving his side profile an ethereal look.
"Don't worry, there'll be more worthwhile dates in the future." He assured, the smile still pulled up in his lips.
I could feel myself become breathless, at his words and at the view being so majestically gorgeous. A sense of satisfaction flooding in me, happy that I could make him smile like that.
"What?" He asked, noticing in my stare.
"Y-you should smile more often, it really suits you." I gulped, looking away from him to stare at the sun instead.
He chuckled lightly,"I should thank you for that biscotto," He said, his gaze not wavering for mine.
"What? Me?" My brows furrowed, confusion etching in my features.
"Yes, you." He bopped a finger on my nose,"You're the reason why I smile amore,
You make me happy." He confessed, his eyes twinkling.
Amore. I knew what that meant and my cheeks heated up at this knowledge. I gulped, nodding slightly at his words.
"I guess, we're even then," I agreed, a ghost of smile on my lips.
A silence greeted us but it was neither overbearing or awkward. Sunsets are truly beautiful, the different colors that contrasted against each other felt like I was seeing a glimpse of heaven.
"It's beautiful," I hummed, staring at it in awe.
"Absolutely breathtaking ," Alec piped in but his gaze was solely focused on me.
"You're being cheesy," I pointed out, biting my lip to stop the smile.
He took a hold of my hand, pulling me closer to him. The water slightly sloshing at the actions, as I faced him completely.
"I'm being honest," He disagreed, placing a kiss on the back of my hand.
He pulled me even closer, our exposed skin touching. I could feel my heart become erratic as he leaned in and kissed my forehead, dragging his lips on my nose, cheeks before pulling back.
"You know, your words from earlier had me thinking," He murmured, his hand coming up to gently caress the side of my face
"I said a lot of things earlier," I pointed out, feeling breathless at his actions.
He proceeded to kiss the corner of my lips,"I don't mind being yours biscotto, as long as you are mine too." He huskily said, a ghost of smile on his lips.
I haven't even fully comprehend his words yet before he closed the gap between us, his lips claiming my own with such possessiveness and yearning.
