Ella | Afterschool

I sighed and closed my locker, jumping when I saw Kelly.

"Uh hey." I said.

"Hey. Are we still on for today?" She asked.

"Your bag is already in my car." I began, laughing. "So yes. And don't you dare ask me if you need to pay for something because I might just smack you." I said, jokingly.

I watched as she slowly slid her hand from inside of her pocket with a sheepish smile. I laughed and playfully hit her arm.

"You were about to try and give me some money!" I said.

"Hey! It's not my fault you don't accept it!" She said, laughing.

I playfully rolled my eyes which caught the sight of Aria with her head down walking through the halls. You could literally see and hear everyone laughing at her.

Whoever did that is messed up. They shouldn't have done that. Yes, Aria is a female dog but she has feelings just like the rest of us. Who cares if she's in foster care or has to steal her clothes, she has to support herself somehow.

The crazy thing is, Aria beat me up multiple times but yet, I feel sorry for her.

"Lunch was crazy, huh." Kelly asked.

"Way too crazy. I wonder who did it." I said, grabbing my keys from my crossbody.

"I don't know." She said, lightly scratching her arm. "It could be anyone." She finished.

"True." I said, shrugging.

"You gotta admit, she had it coming sooner or later."

"Yeah, she did." I said. "Are you ready?" I finished, questioning her.

"Yep." She said.

"Okay." I said.

We walked towards the school doors side by side.

"So what're we gonna do?" She asked.

"I don't know. Im not exactly sure what to do at sleepovers." I said.

The last time Kelly spent the night was when I had my birthday party. We didn't do much after the party because we were tired, so we fell asleep about fifteen minutes after we had our showers.

"Me either. In movies they're always painting nails, doing hair, eating, talking about boys, and more. Im just not like that. Sure I'll talk about boys but painting nails and gossiping and stuff along those lines, I don't like to do." Kelly said.

"Same here." I said, pushing the school doors open and stepping into the semi-cool weather.

"So how about we talk about where we are with our crushes, order some dinner, watch some movies and just be us." She said.

"That sounds like fun." I said.

"Good."

It was silent between us as we headed to my far away parked Mustang.

"Ella!"

I groaned as I heard Grayson's voice.

"Yes?" I asked, spinning around to see him jogging up to me with Jonah behind him.

"Gracie said something about you having a sleepover thing or something."

"Yeah a sleepover with Kelly, why?"

"There's a party tonight so Gracie and I wont be home until late but the person who is hosting it sometimes has shitty parties." He said, getting a punch from Jonah.

"No I don't. My parties be fire."

"Trashy is more like it." Mariana said, coming up to us.

"Im sorry dont you have to get Grayson's dick from your mouth or something?" Jonah asked, rolling his eyes.

"Im gonna go to your car." Kelly said, softly.

I knew she was upset knowing that Mariana had fooled around with Grayson for sure.

"Okay." I said.

"Shut up, Jonah." Mariana said, going after Kelly.

"Anyways, if the party is lame then Im coming back with a few people and we're just gonna drink. If we get too loud and disrupt you just let me know." Grayson said.

"Um okay. Thanks for letting me know I guess." I said.

"Yeah."

I turned and walked off, heading to my car where Mariana was with Kelly who looked like she wanted to smack her all around.

"The doors should've been unlocked." I said.

"I didnt get a chance to open it because she followed me here." Kelly said.

"Kelly, please. I'm sorry." Mariana said, begging Kelly.

"Fuck you and your sorry Mariana. I confided in you. You treated us like your bestfriends and then dumped us like we were trash and for that I will never forgive you or trust you again and also, lets not forget the fact that you knew I had the biggest crush on Grayson since I started here and you decided to sleep with him anyways! I will never be your friend again Mariana." Kelly said, opening my door and sliding in the car.

Mariana turned to looked at me with teary eyes.

"I suppose you wont be my friend ever again either, huh." She said.

"I think we just need time to think. You did us dirty, Mariana. And I know you aplogized but we still need time. Apologies can be said but they also need to be accepted or decline." I said, walking over to my door. "Plus you slept with Grayson while knowing that Kelly is basically in love with him. A friend would never do that, no matter the terms you guys are on. I wouldnt be surprised if she doesn't forgive you. Get home safe, okay?" I said, getting in my car and pulling off.

"This is a stupid question but are you okay?" I asked, causing her to give me a forced dry laugh.

"I dont know. Is it crazy that I dont know how to feel?"

"Of course not. Have you ever thought about forgiving her though?"

"Sadly yes but as soon as I found out that she was for surely intimate with Grayson, even though she knew I had a crush on him, that's when that thought flew out of the window."

"Understandable but have you ever considered forgiving her but not speaking to her again?" I questioned, turning left onto incoming traffic.

"Whats your personal opion on forgiveness?"

"My personal opinion? Hm, well Im nice so I'll forgive just about anything. For instance I just forgave my siblings not too long ago for bullying me basically my entire life but if someone killed them, I wouldn't forgive them even though they messed up my entire life."

"See, our views are different. If I were you, I wouldnt have the heart to forgive them. Yes, I'd speak to them occasionally but flat out forgiving them? I cant do that. I dont have that kind of heart."

"Most people dont have my kind of heart and that okay. As long as they understand their own heart, its fine."

I pulled into the garage of my home and got out. We entered through the garage and put our bags on the island.

"Want a snack or something?" I asked, rummaging through the fridge for something to snack on.

"I'm fine for now, thanks though."

"Of course."
