Ella | Lunch Time

My feet has been hurting ever since first period. I was on my feet the entire time helping the teacher since I took the test last week. I was grading papers, running errands and nearly tripping over my own two feet.

I was looking forward to lunch since I havent seen Kelly since second period but I couldn't talk to her because they had a test that took up the entire period.

I shut my locker and spun around, seeing Blake coming my way.

"Hey." I said smiling, leaning up to accept his kiss.

"What's up. How was class, princess?" He asked, grabbing my hand.

"It was fine. I got my work for next week."

"Nerdy ass." He said, chuckling.

"You're never just gonna let me live my nerdy life, are you?"

"Nope." He said, chuckling.

I playfully rolled my eyes.

"How are your classes though?" I asked.

"Fine." He said, shrugging.

"Just fine? That's all?" I said, laughing.

"Yep."

"Ugh, you're so boring." I said, over exaggerating, making him chuckle.

"Says the nerd."

"Shut up."

It was silent between us as the cafeteria came into view.

"Is lunch still Kelly and I time?" He asked, mocking me when I said that.

"Yes. Lunch time will always be mine and Kelly's time, but you're still taking me home, right?" I asked, looking up at him.

"Eh, I wish I could just leave you here." He said chuckling which caused me to let out some weird sounding gasp and hit his arm.

"Shut up."

"Okay okay."

We went inside of the cafeteria and split ways, me going to my table and him to his.

"Okay, so when did you get to school and did you get here safely." I said, sitting infront of Kelly who was reading.

She closed her book and gave me a half smile. Which told me almost instantly that something was wrong.

"What's wrong? Was it Grayson? What did he do?" I asked, blabbering.

"I was a complete idiot this morning with him, Ella." She said, facepalming herself. "And then that bitch Ciara told me she was going to make my life a living hell all because I wouldn't sit in the back freaking seat." She said, getting red-ish in the face.

"Okay woah. Im going to run to the vending machine and when I come back, I want to hear everything from beginning to end with nothing left out." I said, getting up.

"Okay."

After making a quick vending machine run, I was sitting back at the table with Kelly.

"Okay, what happened?" I asked, placing my cookie, candy and water infront of me on the table.

(I dont feel like recapping, so just imagine she did.)

"Okay wow. First, he's right. All I told him was to make sure you got here and home safely or I would kill him. And second, he might like you." I said, drinking some of my water, watching her eyes go wide.

"What? You think he could actually like me?"

"That's what I said." I said, laughing. "I know my brother. If he didn't like you, like at all, he wouldn't have invited you to a party."

"Oh my God, he could actually like me." She said, muttering to herself.

"But that's just my opinion." I said, opening my cookie pack.

"Are you going?" She asked, changing the topic.

"To where?"

"To the costume party."

"Oh. I wasnt invited." I said, shrugging.

"Not invited? How is it that I was invited but not you and you're dating Blake."

"I dont know." I began, laughing. "But it's not a big deal. If Blake goes and wants me to go with him then I will, but if he doesnt ask me then I wont. That's fine too. Parties arent everything." I finished, with a mouth full of cookie.

"You're disgusting." She said, laughing. "Close your mouth."

"Oh shut up." I said, laughing.

She shook her head before glancing at Grayson's table and her smile fell.

"I still cant believe Ciara is going to bully me just because of a seat. Grayson told me to stay there." She said, watching as ciara felt on my brother.

"Yeah me either. Why dont you say something to her? I mean you said something to Mariana, why not her?" I asked, curiously.

"I think Im afraid that I'll mess up what Im saying because of Grayson and then I'll get laughed at."

"Hm, okay. Well you cant let her bully you because of my brother. How about you talk to him then. I mean she is his girlfriend."

"I dont know. She hasnt done anything yet. I'll just punch her when she does." She said, smiling.

"Okay." I said, laughing.

"Hi, Ella." A voice said, causing me to look up from my candy and at Ashley.

"Uh...hi?"

"You look gorgeous today." She said, smiling.

I looked at Kelly with a raised eyebrow, causing her to shrug.

"Thank you?...what do you want Ashley." I said, not meaning to be harsh.

"Come sit with us." She said, smiling as her ponytail moved.

"No thank you, Im fine."

"Thank God." She said, sighing out in relief. "Look. I want you to get it through your little blonde head that your relationship with Blake won't last. Hailee is coming back and soon and when she finds out that you've been dating her man, she's going to...-" She began but I tuned her out as she threw insult after insult at me.

What's her purpose in telling me this. Its clear that Blake doesn't love Hailee and he never did. Why does Hailee continue to torture me even when she isnt near.

What if she comes back and literally tries to kill me?

Don't you know Blake wont let her kill you. Gracie will probably kill her first.

"DID YOU HEAR ME!?" She screamed at me, breaking me from my trance and catching the attention of the entire cafeteria.

I dont know what came over me but I turned to her and stood up, causing her to back up a bit.

"I heard you, crystal clear, but let me ask you, what makes you think Blake even loved Hailee?"

"Its completely o-" She began, but I cut her off.

"Wait, I dont even know why I'm talking to you about my boyfriend. At the end of the day, are you kissing him? Do you know him like his girlfriend does? Exactly. He never loved Hailee, okay? Stay out of our business."

I'm not a violent person at all. Infact, I hate violence but when you're tired of people treating you like crap just because your a nerd, or just because you're dating someone way out of your league, sometimes you just snap.

I spun around to sit back down but she grabbed my arm.

Draw back and hit with all of your strength. Like this.

I cocked my fist back and hit her in the face as hard as I could, causing her grip to loosen immediately.

Whoops.
