fifty nine
Ella | Hallway
I was hurt, angry, embarrassed and a little scared.
What Ciara said really messed with my head. I'm not sure if it was true or not but I'm thinking about it a lot. Half of me was saying Ciara was just bluffing. Ashley told me that Hailee was supposed to come back a few months ago and she never did, so maybe she's just messing with my head. Then the other half is thinking what if Hailee does come back tonight?
What if she comes back and Blake realizes that he may actually have feelings for that witch and leave me for her? I'd be so crushed. I wouldn't even know how to cope with that.
Stupid girl, you know Blake hates that thing with a passion.
Stupid conscious, what if he thought he did but actually loves her?
Yeah right, who could ever love someone like Hailee?
"What she said is probably true, but I don't care about it right now. I'm not going to let that ruin my night. We can talk about it tomorrow or something." I said, not looking at him.
I was pretty sure that I was going to avoid him for a few days just to think.
I walked away from him and headed down the hall but slowly came to a halt as I saw the familiar feminine frame walking up to us, revealing the dirty blonde that made my life a living hell for the majority of my high school years.
She came towards me with a smirk on her face. Every step that she took towards me, I took one back.
"Oh, well what do we have here?" She asked, teasingly.
I watched her eyesight set onto my boyfriend before a real smile made its way onto her face.
"Blakey!" She squealed, running up to him and jumping on him.
I stood there watching as he shoved her off of him, making her stumble back a bit.
"Oh don't tell me you're still with this nerdy skank!" She exclaimed, glancing at me in disgust.
Welp, there goes half of my self-confidence.
"Hailee when are you going to understand that I'm in love with Ella! I don't want you at all." Blake growled.
"Oh stop trying to front, Blake. You know what we had-" Hailee began but Blake cut her off.
"Was nothing. We had nothing but a got damn fling. Get that through your empty ass head!" He said, taking steps towards her scared body.
"Blake." I warned softly.
I knew Blake and I knew him darn well, which is how I know when he's about to flip his script. He can take only but so much before he literally blanks out and hits everything in his way.
Hailee eventually got up after slipping on her sparkly dress a few times. I looked at her face which had fear written all over it. Blake hardly took a glance back at me before he turned back to the whore on the ground before him. He roughly grabbed her by the arm and yanked her up, shoving her against the wall roughly.
The next thing my eyes took in made my heart drop to my stomach.
Hailee had kissed Blake.
My boyfriend.
But what my eyes took in next made my heart jump back in place.
Blake shoved Hailee back and backed away from her, wiping his mouth.
"Fucking bitch." He spat, cocking his fist back and punching her in the face, making me gasp as Hailee's face snap to the side.
No. No no no, he's completely lost his darn mind! No matter who the female is, no matter what she's done, no man should ever put his hand on her.
"BLAKE!" I said, quickly grabbing his fist that was about to connect with the bloody girl again.
"No. You can't hit her, she's a female. You'll probably end up killing her with another punch. You see how little she is!"
"Get off of me, Ella. She's been trying to fuck up we had for the longest and she might've fucking succeeded. I don't care if she's a man, I'm still beating the shit out of her." He said, trying to shrug me off of him.
Oh, well that would make sense.
I feel stupid as it finally clicked inside of my brain. Blake was doing this for me, not because of the fact that Hailee is a crazy witch. He's tired of her trying to interfere with our relationship.
"Baby stop. Look at me." I began, which still didn't gain his attention as he cocked his fist back again. "Blake, don't hit her!" I said, tears swelling in my eyes.
Hailee needed to be punched again but the fact that she was a female is the only thing that's making me stop him from probably killing her with another punch.
My pleads and shaky voice gained his attention causing him to look me in the eyes.
"Why should I not hit her? She messed up what we had." He said, softly.
"Because she's a female, Blake. No man should ever lay his hands on a female." I said, grabbing his jaw in my hand.
I watched as him threw Hailee on the ground, causing her to hit her head.
"What about us?" He said, softly.
"We're still the same way we were, she didn't mess anything up. She just made me understand that she definitely has no place in your heart. It's me all the way." I said, grabbing his hand.
He dropped my hand and cupped my cheeks instead.
"She never had a place in my heart. It's always been you." He said, pressing his lips against mine.

"Here, princess." Blake said, behind me before a bowl of requested barbeque chips were placed in front of me.
"Oh, thanks." I said before happily throwing a chip into my mouth.
After our altercation with Hailee in the hallway, Blake and I came back to the table where we found out that Hailee and her date is the two that is supposed to be at our table, except Hailee never showed, only her date, which was a random jock, named Elliot. At least he's nice.
"You guys know what's crazy?" Gracie said, sipping her punch.
"Hm." Grayson said, looking at her from his phone.
"I don't even want to be prom queen." She said, causing everyone to look at her in shock.
"Woah, that's a first." I said, shocked.
Gracie has always wanted to be prom queen and she was last year, so it's shocking to hear those words come from her mouth.
"Why not?" Lily asked.
"Because I realized it was never my dream. It was always moms. Ella, Grayson, you guys remember how pushy mom was in making sure I won prom queen last year, and in every election, she made sure I was aiming for president. I just wanted to be a cheerleader and enjoy my schooling, but she ruined some of that. Therefore, this year I'm making sure I don't win it." Gracie said, shrugging her shoulders.
I didn't even know how to respond to that.
"Yeah, we remember. If that's what you want, then okay." Grayson said, wrapping his arm around Kelly.
"Okay, okay, settle down! It's time for my personal favorite part of prom, announcing the prom king and queen!" The principal said, earning claps from some of the student body. "All of the votes are in and counted up! For the year of 2018, your prom king is..." She said, trailing off as someone handed her the card which revealed the king. "Grayson Boyd!" She exclaimed, gaining claps again.
"Aye, that's what's up! Congrats bro!" Ace said, patting my brother on the back.
"Yeah, congratulations!" I said, standing up to give him a hug.
"Thanks." He said, chuckling while returning my near breathtaking hug.
I sat back down and watched my oldest sibling go up to the podium stage to accept his crown.
"Thanks." He said, grinning like an idiot.
"And now, your 2018 prom queen is..." She said, trailing off again.
"Ya know what would be cool?" Gracie asked, causing us to look at her.
"What?" Ace's date said.
"If Kelly won prom queen." Gracie said.
Before any of us had the chance to reply, the principal spoke again.
"Kelly Lee!" She said, causing everyone's attention to come to our table and look at her.
"Oh my God, I won!? What?" Kelly said, causing me to laugh.
"You won! Go! Go get your tiara!" I said, wrapping my arms around my best friend.
We watched as Kelly got out of her seat and made her way down to the podium.
"You did that?" Lily asked Gracie.
"Not necessarily but yes. I dropped out of the race, which meant we needed another runner. I remember one time she told me she had a dream that she was prom queen once and she wondered how it would feel to be prom queen, so I entered Kelly's name and did her campaign for her. We had four runners, Hailee and Blake, Tasha and Jack, Sabrina and Tyler and finally, Kelly and Grayson. It was a no brainer. Almost the entire school hates Hailee and can see that Blake is with Ella, Sabrina is a wannabe Hailee, Tasha got sick and couldn't finish her campaign, which left them two. I'm glad they won." She said, smiling.
Wow, who would've thought that Gracie had a heart that big?
"Thanks, she's extremely happy and that makes me happy." I said, smiling at her.
"Oh whatever, you're welcome I guess." She said, playfully rolling her eyes.
"And now, it's time for the prom king and queen dance." The principal said, smiling at Grayson and Kelly.
We all watched as Grayson held her hand out for Kelly to take before they headed to the center of the dance floor. Grayson slipped his right hand around Kelly and they entwined left and right hands before dancing to I Do (Cherish You) by 98 degrees.
About less than halfway into the song everyone else began to join in with their dates.
"You wanna dance with me?" Blake asked from behind me with his hand held out.
"Why sure." I said, smiling while taking his hand.
He led us to the dance floor and we began to slow dance to the same song.
"So, how're you liking prom so far?" He asked.
"Really good. I'm glad I came." I said, laying my head on him.
"Well, I'm glad that I asked you."
"Really?" I asked, laughing. "Why?"
"Because, you're my everything and I wanted my last prom to be the best one."
"Well, so far, has it been the best one yet?" I asked, leaning back to look at him.
"Well let's see, I'm here with the love of my life, she's having a good time, so yeah. I'd say it's the best one I could ever have."

Chapter 59
- OH MY GOD, KELLY AND GRAYSON WON PROM KING AND QUEEN! Will somebody cry with me!?
- Who expected Ella and Blake to win prom king and queen?
^ To be honest, I was going to do that, but I wanted a little bit of Kelly and Grayson inside of this chapter as well, and I wanted to switch it up a bit too, so that's why I did Kelly and Grayson.
- What about that Hailee scene? How was it?
- I'm sorry to say this, but chapter 60 is the last chapter!
- Don't forget to comment and vote!
