Gregor Catch Up
So uh, yeah
It's not really a mark, more like a phrase :)

How you got your mark:
You were a soldier for the Empire assigned to prevent prisoners from escaping. It was pretty boring to make sure none of them were attempting to escape and it was every. Single. Damn. Day. You would sometimes take breaks from all the walking around when a higher ranking soldier relieved you of duty. It was during a break that your forearm started to feel weird. You weren't sure what it was but it was bothering the hell out of you. You continued your routine until your commander told you to take a break. Sighing in relief, you went straight to your room which wasn't that far thankfully. The moment the door closed, took off the upper half of your armor and fell onto your bed. Curious about what you felt earlier, you checked your forearm and saw that it was some words. You hadn't expected words to appear on your skin, which formed a sentence. It read: "Thanks, I was starving." You were baffled by the word choice but didn't think too much about it. You only hoped that it wasn't any of your colleagues first words to you.
How you met:
You heard your commlink go off and heard that it was your commander saying you were needed in the detention level. You groaned as you picked up your helmet and slipped it on before stepping out of your room.
'Just another day of doing absolutely nothing.' You thought sarcastically.
You held the blaster issued to you as you made your way to the detention level. You approached the blast doors and your commander noticed you.
"You're earlier than expected." He said as he turned to you.
You only rolled your eyes and sighed, not really wanting anyone's bullshit today.
"Well, you know your task." His final words to you before walking off.
'Ugh, I can't even remember why I even joined the Empire in the first place. Everybody here is just a bunch of jerks.' You thought and started your daily routine.
There weren't many prisoners at this base and you were glad for it because you would sometimes get off early. You passed another trooper and gave a small nod as a greeting. They didn't seem to acknowledge your nod and kept walking down the hall.
'Tch, rude.' You thought bitterly.
Then you heard the same trooper talking with one of the prisoners.
"Hey, newbie," you heard the prisoner say. "How about you be useful and get me some food."
"Quiet, traitor!" The trooper said and walked away.
"That's captain traitor."
The trooper, however, didn't care to stop.
The prisoner scoffed, "Insubordinate plebe."
You didn't like how the trooper treated the prisoner even though he's, well, a prisoner. You decided to be nice and walked over to the cell the previous trooper was at. You leaned against the wall next to the cell and took out your ration pack. You not so subtly turned off the ray shield, tossed the rations in front of him, and quickly turned on the ray shield. You went into your original position and closed your eyes as the prisoner picked up the rations you tossed in his cell. He smiled before sitting down back on the slab of metal for a bed.
"Thanks, I was starving." He said.
You opened your eyes and looked down at your forearm, pulling up your sleeve. Those were the exact words that appeared on your skin and this guy you didn't know, said them.
'Shit, my soulmates a prisoner.' You thought and glanced into his cell. 'And a hot one at that.'
He took his time and enjoyed the food you gave him, you figured he hasn't eaten in a while.
"Prisoners should be able to eat, too." You said and crossed your arms.
He coughed a bit after you said that and you didn't bother noticing.
"Well, uh, thanks again." He said.
Silence fell between you two and you were starting to get uncomfortable.
"So, um, ya have a name?" You asked, trying to strike a conversation as you turned to him slightly.
He was silent before answering, "yes, actually, it's Gregor."
"Hm, nice name. Mine's (Y/n)."
"Nice to meet you."
"Yeah, nice to meet you."
Silence fell again and this time, it was kind of comfortable.
"I have a question." Gregor said.
"Alright, shoot." You say.
"Why are you being nice to me?"
You looked at him at the sudden question, hearing and seeing the confusion he had.
"Good question, can't say I've got an answer." You said honestly and turned away from him.
Your commlink suddenly went off and you tapped it, then heard the voice of your superior.
"You are needed for a debriefing." He instructed.
"Yes, sir." You turned to Gregor, "I have to go."
"Oh, okay, I'll see you later." He said.
"I'll see you later."
You sent him a smile before walking off down the corridor. You absolutely hated your job but you wouldn't have met your soulmate you didn't sign up for it.
He finds out about your mark:
You scowled as you walked through the corridors on the detention level. You recently found out you were being transferred and that made you pretty upset. And because of this, you didn't want to be bothered right now.
You swiftly passed each cell as you looked into each one, seeing nothing like always. That is until you got to a certain cell.
"Hey, (Y/n), what's wrong?" You heard a familiar voice ask.
You stopped but didn't turn to look at him, knowing who it was.
"Is there something wrong?" Gregor asks. "You seem agitated."
"Tch, why do you care?" You snarked.
"Because you're the nicest person I've met in a long time."
You somewhat relax at his words and gain the courage to look at him. You gazed deep into his brown eyes seeing that he was telling the truth. Tears welled in the corners of your eyes but they were covered by your helmet, so he couldn't see them.
You leaned against the wall next to his cell before speaking, "I'm being transferred to a different Imperial base."
"What? Why?" He asked, widening his eyes in disbelief.
"Dunno, but I told them I'm not going."
There was a moment of silence before you began to speak again.
"They asked why and I said that some of the soldiers here are incompetent to do their job."
"I take it they weren't convinced." Gregor says, leaning on the other side of the wall you leaned on.
"No, but that wasn't the real reason I didn't want to leave."
He slightly perked up at this. "What was the real reason then?"
You thought for a moment, crossing your arms.
"You remember those first words we said to each other?" You asked.
"Yeah, what about them?" He inquires.
You took a deep breath and pulled down your sleeve, revealing the words you kept hidden from everyone. You lift your arm to where he was able to see it.
"These are the first words you said to me." You say.
You don't bother looking but you know that he's looking at your wrist. After another moment of silence before he spoke.
"Well, I guess that makes two of us." He said.
You abruptly straightened up and turned your head, seeing what you thought it was.
What you saw, were the first words you said to him.
"Does this make us..." He started, voice trailing off.
"Soulmates?" You finished. "Yeah, it does."
You couldn't help the smile and blush that spread across your face. You saw that he smiled as well, yet he didn't know what you looked like.
"Do you mind if I see your face?" He asked. "It's only fair since you saw mine."
You laughed lightly at his statement and placed your hands on the sides of your helmet. Slowly, you slipped off the uncomfortable headgear and looked to see him taken aback. He stepped closer to the shield barrier and you didn't step back.
"Wow..." He breathed out. "You're just as beautiful as I imagined."
You blushed more red and looked down, scratching the back of your neck. Just then, your commlink went off, ruining the moment.
"I....have to go." You say sadly, your grip on your helmet tightening.
"Oh, I hope you have a great rest of your day then." He says sincerely.
You look at him and smile, "thanks, you too."
You swiftly turned and walked down the hallway as you put on your helmet. Gregor smiled and sat back down on the metal slab attached to the wall, his mind going back to you.
He asks you out:
After being told you were being transferred, you were given a couple days to gather your things. But on your last day, you were fully packed and ready to initiate your plan.
You were going to break Gregor out.
You swiftly walked down the corridor and ignored the soldiers you passed, who were completely unaware of what you were about to do. You arrived at Gregor's cell and pressed one of the buttons, the shield barrier deactivating. You stepped in as he looked at you confused.
"(Y/n), what-" he started to speak.
"Just follow my lead." You said, grabbing his arm gently yet firmly.
You stood him up and brought his arms behind his back, then cuffed him.
"I'm breaking you out, but just act like it's a prison transfer." You said. "And I apologize in advance for the actions I might do."
He nodded his head and you started to lead him out of the cell. One of your hands was on the cuffs on his hands and the other was resting on your right side, over your blaster. You two were prepared to act if anyone asked what you were doing, which happened now.
"Where are you taking this prisoner?" A soldier who noticed you and stopped you asked.
"I had been requested that he be transferred to another prison." You answered.
"You're not transferring me anywhere!" Gregor exclaimed, struggling a bit.
"Can it and get moving!"
You not-so roughly pushed him in front of you and you both walked away from the other soldier. You placed your hands back to where they were before as you lead him to the elevator. You stopped in front of the doors and pressed a button, then waited for the elevator.
"Great acting so far." You said quietly, but he heard you.
You couldn't see it but he smiled at your words. The doors to the elevator opened and you two stepped inside, the doors closing. You pressed a button that took the small box down.
"Hey, thanks for doing this." You hear Gregor say.
"Don't thank me yet. It's about to get tricky." You say without looking at him.
The trip didn't seem to last long as the doors opened, revealing another corridor. You placed a hand on his back and lead to the hangar where you have a ship waiting. Every time a soldier stopped to ask where you were taking the 'prisoner', you would respond with 'prison transfer'. In about ten minutes, you two stepped into the hangar, where there were many soldiers.
"Get ready to run." You mumble.
He looked back at you briefly before seeing the ship you were referring to. You subtly pulled out a smaller blaster and uncuffed him, the cuffs falling to the ground. You gave him the blaster and pulled out yours.
"Go." You said.
With that, he started to run towards the ship while blasting at the soldiers who shot at him. You took off your helmet and quickly ran to Gregor, blasting the soldiers as well.
"Well, I was wondering when I'd see that pretty face of yours." He said, blasting at the soldiers.
"Save it for when we get out of here, alright?" You say.
You grab ahold of his arm and quickly run to the ship, the blaster bolts barely missing you. You shove him on the ramp before turning around and firing back. You fire a few more shots before getting on the ship, then closed the ramp.
"That was close." Gregor says as you look at him.
"We're not out of this just yet." You said, and made your way to the cockpit.
You sit in the pilots seat and start the ship, then lifted it out of the hangar. You left the planet and entered hyperspace, then turned on autopilot. You lean back and let out a sigh of relief just as he walks in and sits next to you.
"Okay, I know we just escaped and all, but..." He starts.
"But what?" You inquire, turning to him.
"Would you like to go on a date with me?"
You blush slightly and avert your eyes briefly, smiling.
"Yeah, I'd like that." You reply.
He smiles back and also averts his eyes. You look ahead of you and close your eyes, letting out a sigh of content.
Your first kiss:
You sat comfortably reading one of your favorite books as music played in the background softly. You were too focused and didn't bother acknowledging the knock at your door.
"(Y/n)?" You hear Gregor ask, bringing you out of your thoughts.
"Hm?" You hummed, looking up at him.
"Where are we headed, exactly?"
You avert your eyes briefly as he walked in and sat on the edge of your bed.
"Oh, just some planet that the Empire doesn't really know about." You answer, looking back at him. "It's more towards the outer rim."
"Doesn't the Empire control most of the outer rim planets?" He asks.
"Yes, but it's a planet I sometimes visit to get away from all the chaos. Before I was taken from my family on Dantooine." You answer.
Your mood somewhat faltered but it didn't falter completely due to the next song that came on. You smiled and placed down the datapad and stood up, grabbing Gregor's hands. He was about to say something but you spoke first.
"Dance with me." You said.
He smiled before saying, "alright, take the lead."
You smiled wider and started to sway to the gentle rhythm of the song. He twirled you around and you only looked up staring into his brown eyes. Then, when it got to your favorite part, you sang along.
Every day I wake up, then I start to break up
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I start out, then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I wake up, then I start to break up
Knowing that it's cloudy above
Every day I start out, then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love
You and him danced peacefully to the rest of the song. Just a bit before the song ended, Gregor twirled you again and dipped you down, your hands on his shoulders. You both smiled softly and you saw that he was eyeing your lips. You knew what he wanted and you also wanted it. You reached up and pressed your lips to his, one hand going to the back of his head. He kissed back as he carefully stood you two up, his hands finding themselves on your waist. A few more seconds passed before you pulled back due to lack of air.
You both stared into each other's eyes as he leaned his head against yours. You hugged him and started to hum the song that started to play.
You cherished this moment, just the two of you together in each other's arms.
Your soulmate song:
Adam Lambert - If I Had You
This song symbolizes how Gregor wouldn't trade you for the galaxy. Even if he had tons of credits or was famous, he'd give it all if it means spending the rest of his life with you. He wasn't sure if he would find that special someone who would love him, then he met you. When he found out you two were soulmates, he became rather happy. And when you broke him out, it made him love you even more. It was when you both shared your first kiss that he knew you were the one. He would let nothing come between you both, because he just loves you that much.
