Well, that looked pretty awesome.

But awesome seemed such an insignificant word the way Starry Night place was enveloped with bright lights lighted upon trees, the ground was covered in the blanket of pink rose petals and when you looked up at the sky, it felt like the heavens have opened the gate and blessed the city with its most twinkling stars.

The place was perfect for the bonfire night and the rush in the place seemed to warm the atmosphere.

It lifted my spirit and I looked around seeing people dancing in circles, giggling and laughing, stumbling and falling. Their laugh echoed in the area.

'Isn't this great? I bet you would have missed it if you haven't come with us.' James was beaming and his smile was up to his eyes. I looked down and saw that our hands were holding each other.

Just because there is so much rush in this place. That's why. Nothing else.

'Indeed it's beautiful. Thank you so much for bringing me here. I feel so refreshed now.'

I am so much looking forward to this night.

'Well, I earlier thought to show you the city but then you wanted to explore on your own.' He was looking straight into my eyes, 'which is great but then I thought I can't let you go without showing you the real beauty of this place and I don't think so I regret this decision.'

My heart was pounding loudly. His words, his sincerity, his smile was creating havoc in my heart.

'Of course, I am glad you brought me here.' I shifted awkwardly since the tension between us was thickening. 'So, where are Emma and Vince?'

'Oh, they must be here somewhere.' He was looking around at the place. 'Or must be partying with my friends or they would have found their usual spot.' He smirked.

'Ooooo taking advantage of the night.' I grinned evilly and swayed my shoulders left to right.

He laughed heartedly. 'Oh! They take advantage of every night.'

Sweet.

We were walking and I was so excited like I was in a chocolate factory that I didn't notice a man was going to bump into me.

'Hey man, watch out.' James took me by my waist and my heart halted.

The man was swaying and had a black bottle in his hands. His eyes were glassy.

'Ooops, Sssooryy.' He was totally wasted. 'Buy me Bino-cu-rurulars. I will wero- wear them on my eyes.' His hands were covering the eyes and he started walking, 'and would walllk carefully. ' He was walking like he had a blindfold on his eyes.

'Sure, I will. I will parcel in the police station, you can take it from there.' James took hold of my hand and started walking in the direction of the bonfire.

'Creepy fellow. Why drink so much when you can't tell whether you are walking straight or floor is tricking you?'

'He must be having his reasons to drink.' He paused. 'There they are, come and  meet my friends.'

He waved at his friends. There were two pretty girls and three college like boys. One of them was singing and had a guitar in his hands. It looked like they were having a pretty good time.

'Hey, James, you can leave my hand now. I think I am fine.' I smiled politely but I was having a battle in my heads.

'Oh yeah sure.' He blushed.

His friends saw him and they all cheered him up like he was some kind of hero.

'Woohh-Wooh, the man of the evening has arrived. You are just in time.' One of the boys gave a fist bump to him.

'Alex, wassup man. Rodriguez, Steven.' He acknowledged Rodriguez who was wearing a leather black jacket and bright red sneaker and was wearing a boyish smile on his face and Steven was wearing a check shirt that was not tucked in his heavily ripped jeans. He hugged the girls. 'Hi Carol, Hi Lucy, looking pretty as always.'

The girl named Lucy glanced at me with the expression of who is she? I was standing over there thinking when should I introduce myself?

'And look who has come to join our party.' Rodriguez came to me. 'James got a girl.' He whistled.

Before James could say anything, I jumped for my rescue.

'Hi, I am Scarlett. Nice to meet you all.' I waved at them and was thinking to fist bump everyone but then I crashed that idea.

'Guys, she is my friend, came from Paradise Falls to explore the city. So, let's make the night memorable for her to remember and BEHAVE Rodriguez.' James warned him.

'Hey man, chill!!' Rodriguez turned towards me, 'So, how much have you EXPLORED? I can show you pretty good places.' I was not dumb enough to not understand his intentions of exploring.

'Thank you but I am good.' Again my senses heightened up to give curt replies.

'Oh just good? I can make your exploration so excellent.' He licked his lips and stepped closer to me.

'Why? Do you work in some travelling agency?' He again licked his lips.

'And take my lip balm if your lips are so dry or drink water.' I innocently suggested.

James and Steven barked a laugh and Rodriguez just blankly stared at me.

'Well, well, well. That was something.' Steven put one arm on my shoulder in a friendly manner. 'Join us, Scarlett, we are going to dance near the bonfire.'

I nodded and glanced back to see Lucy and James whispering something to each other.

They seem pretty close.

James looked up and saw me looking at them and I jerked my head in front so fast that it would have got sprained. Thankfully it didn't.

Stop behaving like a teenage girl. Come to your senses. Breathe, relax and enjoy.

The woods were crackling with fire; sparks were flying like fireflies illuminating hundreds of faces that came here to kiss the night.

Everyone seemed to be in their own melody, swaying their bodies like some enchantment and trying to make this starry night as their dark paradise.

I was following the light beat of the music and was trying to move my body slightly but I restricted my dance moves because my dance was not for everyone to see.

I had not even a single dance bone in my body but still, I loved to dance crazily; my moves will not be synced. My hips will tell a different story, my hands something else. Only Hippo and Dewdrop could bear my dance.

I wish I could have practised some sexy moves. Now, stand here like a statue.

'Why are you not dancing? Isn't this fun? Do you want high beat?' Steven was doing the perfect robotic dance and was trying to persuade me to embrace the night.

The problem was that even if I tried to do robotic, it will look like a malfunction robotic dance.

'Yes, yes. I will dance. Give me some time.' I started slowly by tapping my feet.

'Oh, why? Are you going to explore dance as well?' I just simply ignored Rodriguez.

What's with him and exploration? Is Dora his sister or what?

James was dancing with Lucy, they were sharing a good laugh. I turned other side and saw Carol and Steven doing some crazy but make sense kind of dance moves and I glanced at Rodrigues who was dancing with a pretty girl and found his hands exploring her body.

No one will notice you, Scarlett. Just do little dance and what harm can an innocent dance bring?

So, I prepared myself to dance when the tempo rose up and I was feeling the music. It was some kind of rock band music and the ambience quickly changed from slow seductive to pumping up the party kind.

Everyone was in their own world and so was I. I started dancing with no care in the world. I started feeling the breeze that was lightly touching my face. My hands and legs were in no coordination. I was clapping and then lightly throwing my hands in the air.

Who would notice?

I didn't even hear that when the laughing sound became loud because I was so much engrossed in myself but then I hear my name in the midst of laughter.

'Scarlett, that was damn crazy.' I halted my dance moves after hearing Steven's comment and looked around me to notice that Rodriguez was trying hard to suppress his laugh and Carol was on her knees bowled over with laughter.

Okay!! What just happened? Why am I being the centre of attention here?

'You were dancing like some morning PT exercise and your hips oh mann!!!' Carol's eyes were filled with tears and she was wiping them but couldn't control her laughter.

'What were you trying to do? Stomping a bug or something?' Rodriguez had that smirk look on his face. 'Is this some kind of chimpanzee dance?'

I just became numb. I was trying to smile, trying to be confident but I was unable to.

Does everyone do the perfect dance?

I looked at James and Lucy was also hiding her laugh on his chest.

So much laughter for a day.

He quickly came towards me with the steps of reassurance and looked at his friends who stopped laughing and whispered in my ear, 'well, Scarlett that was pretty embarrassing. You just embarrassed me in front of my friends.'

He looked at me like I had committed a crime or something.

And my spell got broken.

Hey everyone *waving while doing crazy dance moves* 

I humbly apologise for not updating on last Friday since I went to Mysore to attend a conference. I must say that the place was so beautiful, It had such a vintage side to it. I must say to my readers to please do go once over there. It will be a BREATH TAKING experience for you all.

So, what do you guys think of this chapter? What will happen next? What's cooking inside your brain after reading it?
