KENDALL
--------------------------------
The sun was burning me alive, I groaned covering my face with my hands. My feet boiled, to discribe it? I felt like I was walking on a giant pan that had flames burning underneath it. That was how hot it was, if not even hotter. I chewed my apple, my warm apple, may I add, it was gross, yeah I know.
One step after another I sowly made my way to my workplace, and guess what? To my delight I was just getting off of my driveway onto my street, I still had another ten minutes or so to go, yay...
As I continued on my walk I had noticed a gaint white sign, with a yellow banner across it, covering it. The sign was dug into my neighbours front lawn, It had only occured to me now my next door neighbours Mr & Mrs Dafy had sold their house. They were a old couple, and had been married since I think around when they were in their mid-twenties? And no, I'm not some crazy stalker that spys on my elderly neighbours, let me explain, you see; when my parents would go on buisness trips (which happened very often) the Dafy's would always insist on taking care of me until my parents would get back, I felt quite sad for them to be honest, the Dafy's had missed they're two sons Dylan and Jeff who had moved out a few years ago, so I supose that was also another reason to why they were so persistant in taking care of me.
The stays at the Dafy household was spent with them telling me stories about how the two had met and what not, so it was a bit upsetting to see them move out.
So I was wrong, Rose had not let the whole Mcflurry incident go, only God could help me now. I mentally face plamed myself in the head as Rose was to busy laughing her butt off, even though it was rush hour here, at McDonalds.
"Yeah, haha. Very fun." I rolled my eyes as she nodded her head grinning evily.
As of today Rose and I would be patrolling the kitchen, and when I say 'patrolling' I mean we're just sitting around on kitchen benchtops observing everyone fast at work whipping up the customers orders. Even if our boss Andrew did say we were only observing to pump up our excitment for getting back in the kitchen or whatever he said (it was all suger coated) we all knew in reality he really just meant Rose and I sucked working anywhere else besides the registration, although I can't blame him, because well... we hated cooking with a passion, he was too nice of a boss to admit it to our faces, but I wasn't complaining, we were still getting paid the same but the best part was we were doing absoulety nothing.
"You think he's cute." Rose laughed wiggling her eyebrows as I rolled my eyes at her. "And who doesn't?" I huffed, in my defense the whole school knew that Mac Flurry owned Godly good looks. I turned my back to her as she simply giggled behind me in response.
As I was just about to turn to Rose she was no longer sitting next to me, I frowned knitting my eyebrows together when I saw her at the exit door which was only available to staff members, everyone else was restricted to even set foot into the kitchen.
Staring at her back blankly she moved aside and thats when I was so close to actually slapping sense back into her, had she lost her mind? In walked a boy who was more on the blonde side rather than brunette, his hair fell around his face messily yet somewhat stylishly? it was sort of like Mac's hair it read 'I'm-trying-to-look-like-I-don't-care-but-I-really-do' hair. That was the only way I could describe it.
My mouth gapped, he smiled at me loop-sidedly after embracing Rose in a side long hug, I almost choked on my own saliva, why? only because this could lead to getting fired! adreniline kicked in as of from that moment I began to fidget, I couldn't help it, no matter how hard I tried my hands were shaking, getting fired was the last thing on my bucket list, heck it wasn't even on my bucket list!
Rose quickly ran to me. "Before you tell me off, let me explain." she smiled sheepishly. "Okay, so, okay..." she prepared herself as I couldn't help but laugh, just slightly. Her eyes quickly snapped back up to mine when a huge grin tugged back at her pink lips. "Love you." she simply said as she sat next to me once again, I couldn't stay mad at her, but a warning to the boy who had just entered dead mans land, Christian, well if the boss comes, your on your own. I thought to myself.
I wasn't really going to question why Christian was here, because I could already take a hint, I mean they are dating after all. He sent me a greeting before pulling out a chair and sitting in front of us. Shrugging I stared around boredly.
As a thought popped to mind I looked between Christian and Rose who were already looking at each other, right, well this is awkward... I coughed, clearing my thoart as the two turned to me.
"So, I was just curious.." I thought, trying my best like I wasn't too interested and just wanted to make small talk. "It looked as if you and Mac already knew each other from last night?" I smiled polietly, Christian nodded.
He hummed, "Well, yeah, I mean you don't ussually go around hugger strangers." he joked, thinking for a moment, a crooked smile appeared, showing off his pearly whites, he sniffed as his nose slightly moved in the movement. "Well, I guess its a long story." I nodded for him to continue. "Alright, well we met at a wedding, it pretty much came down to the fact that Mac and I had been the only two teenagers there, of the same age and gender, so naturally we just stuck together as the adults talked about whatever they talked about." Christian spoke shrugging.
As I was just about to reply to him, Tony as in 'elder' Tony walked into the kitchen with a grim look plastered on his face, he didn't even bother to question why Christian was here, he just shrugged it off turning to me, he pointed behind himself with his thumb.
"Who knew Kendall Summers could work so fast." Tony winked as I raised an eyebrow at him confused. "Someone's looking for you, and that someone starts with a big fat M." how does anyone even start with a big fat anything? anyways. "The M to the A to the C" he grinned, as if on cue Rose pipped in.
"What does that spell?" she yelled, as the three all yelled in unison 'Mac'. I sent them glares, I pray to whoever is listening that he, Mac himself did not hear that.
"Run along Juliet." Tony nodded as he thought "Tony knows best."
I pushed myself down from the countertop in the process I almost tumbled over Rose and stepped all over Christian's feet, I smiled shrugging it off, nailed it.
As I made my way to the registration Tony followed behind me, returning back to his station. There I caught a glimspe of broad shoulders, and a lean yet muscular back, I tapped on his shoulder as his back was leaning against the table.
"Hello" he slightly jumped, just as fast, he kept calm and collected stuffing his hands into his jeans, as usual he had his basketball in the crook of his arm, this time he didn't have on the jersey, his wore a black hoodie. He smiled in return.
"Its me." he grinned I laughed rolling my eyes.
"And what brings you here on this..." My eyes darted behind him staring back at the blazing sun. "Somewhat, sort of, lovely day?" he chuckled keeping his stare on me.
"Well, you do still owe me a McFlurry." he grinned licking his lips. "And its the perfect day for one." he added casually.
My phone buzzed in my pocket as I pulled it out, displayed on the lock screen was Tyler's name, a message. I skimmed over the message quickly.
'Need you to pick me up for surfing.' I groaned turning off my phone, shoving it back in my pocket, I would have to go through another day after work squeezing though train to train just to get to Tyler's surf lessons, today the trains would be so cramped to the beach, like always.
"What happened?" As Mac's chuckle brought me out of my little trance I shook it off. "My brother needs me to take him to his surfing lessons." I shivered thinking about public transportation.
With that I shoved five dollars into the cash register paying off his McFlurry, without another word I quickly got to work, without asking him for what toppings he'd like on the McFlurry I had a feeling he'd order the Oreo's, with that I scooped two spoonfuls of cookies onto the ice-cream before returning to where Mac stood, staring at his phone blankly, his ever so slightly chapped lips parted, he kept his eyes glued to his screen.
"Your order, one Oreo McFlurry." I spoke calmly a small smile played on my lips as he turned off his phone adverting his gaze back to me. He smiled carefully taking the cup out of my hands, not wanting a re-peat of what had happened the time before. he mouthed a 'thank you'.
"No problem, besides I was the one that litteraly threw your whole order all over you, sorry about that." I mumbled under my breath, embaressed.
"Don't sweat it." he shrugged scooping a spoon full of McFlurry into his mouth, as he moaned he looked down at me, he sent me a thumbs up before making his way over to a stall, where two cheerleaders approached him, I shrugged walking back to where Rose and Christian were, I could only pray they weren't up to something that would get us all whoop'ed by the ass.

"Getting in!" exclaimed the one and only, Rose.
"I saw the whole thing." I laughed as Rose jumped around, hypervetilating. "And it was nothing." I shrugged as we were making our way back to my place Rose literally stopped in the middle of the road.
"Pfft, nothing yeah." she ploped a chicken nugget in her mouth as she chewed it down offering me some as I turned down the oh so tempting offer.
"Whats the time again?" I asked Rose, as we were two streets away from my place, I began to jogg as Rose followed my lead, she tried to balence her chicken nuggets in her cardboard tray (which she manged really well) she pulled her phone out from her pocket. "Time to get a watch." she laughed at her joke as I retorted.
"Time to get a new comeback." I laughed jokingly.
"Time to get a new joke." she shot, as I had nothing to say back I swallowed down the lump in my throat.
"It's 5:30." she caught up to me as we were now sprinting towards the house, because hell, if I was late to taking Tyler to his surfing lessons he would never let me live it down, surfing was important to Ty, more than important, and in all honesty I have no idea how he got into surfing in the first place, no one in the family had ever tried to surf, we pretty much were all into basketball, but in a way I sort of admire Ty for going his own way, he'll never know I think that though.
We reached the house out of breath, as Rose and I inhaled and exhaled in unison, we heaved in and out, stopping in the middle of the driveway, I collasped to the ground my knee's failing on me, as Rose burst out laughing, but Karma hit her hard when she choked on her own spit.
"Real smooth." I laughed clutching my stomah as Rose rolled her eyes at me in response, I couldn't help but grin.
"You guys are idiots." Tyler retorted as the corners of his lips twitched, arging to come up into a smile. He sat on the porch with his white surfboard with hints of drak blue on it sat on his lap.
His brown hair was combed back out of his face, as I pushed myself up from the ground. Ty began to get up.
"Hey little bro."
"Let's go." he laughed moving around me as he made his way down the driveway.
As we were about to run down to the train station a black SUV parked by the side of the road in front of our house, the car honked as I peered into the window there sat... Mac Flurry? the window went down as he grinned staring back at me. "You said you needed to take your brother to surf lessons right?" I stared at him with questions runinng through my head, like well, how did he know where I lived? did he follow me? Okay... even thats creepy for him.
"I've been here before, I mean, your brother has thrown parties before." smiled Mac, as I stared at him questioningly. "I was on my way to the beach and just came around if you were still here." He answered as I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Come on, I'm not going to eat you or anything like that." he reasoned laughing under his breath as I turned back to Rose and Tyler, as Ty stood there tapping his foot on the driveway impaitently as Rose pulled at his two cheeks.
"Guess who's not taking public transport today." I nodded. "Thats right, lets go."
