Chapter 7
So we want to see what happened to Jooice and Laff. Well, here ya go! Pls note some violence. This is kinda a short chapter.
"I don't know what's happened to me!" Jooice said exasperated. He and Laff were in a little room, with only a bed in it. Jooice managed to come back to the real world, and he was completely stressed. "I don't know what's happening. I want to hurt them, I'm thinking thoughts that I don't actually think.I feel emotions that aren't mine. I feel like I'm becoming someone else!" He said. "Hey, take a deep breath." Laff said. When Jooice woke up, he began to freak out. He was trying to calm him down as best as he could when something caught his eye. "Do you have a rash?" he asked. "What?" Jooice asked, confused. "There's a black rash on your neck." Laff said. Jooice felt his neck. "I don't remember having this rash ever." He said shaikly. "Hey, calm down. Tomorrow we'll go see the gang. Don't freak out, they'll be willing to listen if we stay calm and focused. Socks and Blaza will understand." Jooice nodded. "Listen, we'll figure out what the heck is going on. We just need to take it one step at a time." Laff said. Jooice took a deep shaky breath. "Okay." Jooice said. "Okay. The first thing to figure this out is to figure out how this all first started." Laff asked. "Well, it was when TBH and Woolfster were fighting you. I heard a big boom, and went to the roof of my house. I saw them shooting a beam at you, and you firing one back. But as they were slowly beating you, I was afraid that they were actually trying to kill you. I panicked, and grabbed some pearls and the cloak, and came and grabbed you. The next day was when the man came. I didn't trust him, so I tried to grab my sword, but he stabbed me with the vine before I could." "Wait, he stabbed you?" Laff asked. "Yeah, and that's how I got this ability." Jooice confirmed. Laff was quiet for a moment. "What is it?" Jooice asked. "I think I know why this is happening." Laff said. "Really?" Jooice said. "Yeah. He stabbed you through the heart, but you didn't bleed or anything, and got your ability, right?" Jooice nodded. "I got my ability when a vine wrapped itself around my hand and transferred the power into me." Jooice paled. "This means that whoever this man is, he needed you for something else. And it's affecting you mentally and physically." Jooice was shaking, his head down. "I don't know what else to do." Laff sighed. "Wait!" Jooice said, his head now up. "What?" Laff asked. "Remember those silver things?" Jooice asked. "Yeah." Laff said. The strange silver things were like his ability, but a bit different. "It was trying to get the ability out of me. And it has to be by someone. So if we can find whoever can do this..." "Then they can get rid of all this, and then it's over!" Laff finished. "Yes!" Jooice said. "That was smart thinking." Laff said. "I'm just glad that there is someone out there who can help." Jooice said. "Hey Jooice." Laff said. "Yeah?" Jooice said. "Listen, I'm sorry about the war and everything before this. I don't know what was wrong with me." Laff said. He just needed to let someone know that he was sorry about what he had done. He honestly didn't know why he did it anyway. "Hey, it's okay. We all make mistakes." Jooice said softly, a small smile on his face. "Yeah. Thanks." Laff said. "Should we go in the morning?" Jooice asked. "Yeah, better idea." Laff said. Jooice would stay in the room, just in case something happened. Laff would be near the room just in case. While by himself, Laff wondered how Socks and Blaza were doing. He opened a portal and went through. He was back in the forest, and he saw a small fire. "Wait, Laff?" he heard Socks say. Laff went over to the little camp. "Laff! You're okay!" Blaza said. "Yeah, I'm good." Laff said. "Where's Jooice?" Socks asked. "He's finally himself now. But completely stressed. He said that he was thinking stuff that he wasn't thinking. Like a different person was trying to control him." and then he launched into the whole conversation he and Jooice had. "Man, poor Jooice." Blaza said. "Can we see him?" Socks asked. "Tomorrow, we are going to the base. Figure give him some time to chill out." Laff said. "Yeah, we left a note saying we were going to try and find out where you were hiding as a sorta cover-up. We weren't sure how long it would take, so coming back so soon would be weird." Socks said. "Good idea. Well, I'm going back. See you soon." He opened a portal and went in.
...
"So you saw Socks and Blaza last night?" Jooice asked. "Yeah, and they were relieved to hear that you're okay." Laff said. Jooice smiled a little. "Anyway, you ready?" Laff asked. Jooice was about to answer when his head exploded in pain. "JOOICE!" Laff yelped. Jooice didn't know if he was screaming or not. He just wanted the pain gone. He stumbled and fell. He felt like he was being pulled away from reality. Suddenly, he lost his vision and darkness fell on him. He heard someone laughing. Jooice stopped screaming. "Jooice?" Laff asked. He got up. "Oh Laff." It was Jooice's voice, but it echoed alongside an evil voice. "Jooice." Laff started to back up slowly. "I wish you didn't turn so soon." Jooice faced toward him. His eyes were the same color he saw at the fight at the base, but the blackness he thought was a rash now covered a little bit of his face. "Oh no." Laff whispered. "Now let's make this easy, shall we?" He shot a beam at Laff, but he dodged it and ran. Jooice followed him. When Laff hit a dead end, he turned and saw Jooice. "Nowhere to run Laff." he taunted. Laff had no choice. He opened a portal and got out of there. He realized because he was panicked, he messed up where to teleport, and ended up falling into the hard ground in front of the base. "AH!" he screamed. He had landed on his arm, and he felt the bone break. His arm flared up in pain, and his eyes watered. "LAFF?" he heard a voice say. "Oh crud." he whispered. "Guys, wait!" he heard another voice say. He rubbed the water out of his eyes and saw Socks running to him. "What happened?" Socks asked, and accidentally tried to lift Laff by his broken arm. "NOPE! Not that arm!" Laff yelped as pain flared up his arm again. "Sorry! But...what happened?" Socks apologized. "Jooice, he's...he's gone. Someone took over him." Laff winced, the pain still ongoing. "No." Socks whispered. "I'm sorry." Laff said. Socks closed his eyes. "Laff?" TBH said. "Um, hey guys." Laff said. This was not how he planned to see them. "What's going on?" Nadwe asked. He was about to answer when a vine shot at his broken arm. "AHH!" he screamed. It pulled him to the wall of the base and trapped him there. His vision was blurry, and his head was spinning. The vine pulled on his broken arm, making it ten-times worse. "Laff!" Meme said. The group ran over to him. "Get out of here, he's coming." Laff mumbled. "No, we're going to get you out of here." Woolfster said. He made a dark saber and slashed at the vines. The vines weren't affected, but more shot and him and TBH too, and both were pinned to the wall. "What the heck!?" TBH said. "Well, that was easy." a voice said behind him. They turned and saw Jooice, but his eyes were yellowish green and black. His face was starting to be covered in a dark substance. "Jooice, what happened to you?" Muffin asked. "Jooice is gone. I took control. It was fairly easy, because he never had a taste of power." he said. "What do you want?" TBVG asked. "I need Laff. He has the ability, he needs to be put to good use." Jooice said. Socks pulled out his sword. "Well then, I guess we fight." Jooice sighed. He made a sword from the vines, and began to fight them. They were pretty much defeated. Jooice threw every single one of them to the ground. Nadwe tried to jump on him, but he froze in midair. "Seriously, you should just surrender now." Jooice rolled his eyes, and Nadwe went flying back. The group ended up together a few feet away from Jooice. "What the heck is wrong with him?" oof asked. "Someone is controlling him." Socks said. He then noticed a small yellow circle, and the group was inside it. He leaped out of it just as a dome came up and trapped the others. "How did you see that?" Jooice asked. "Let them out!" Socks said. "Why? I can have it the easy way. You're just a little problem." Jooice shot a beam at him, and Socks blocked it with his sword. He almost was pushed back, but he moved forward one step at a time. Jooice was startled. Why was this? He closed his eyes and risked using his host's mental energy to see why. When he realized what was to come, his eyes shot open, and Socks came charging. Jooice dodged his sword and moved out of the way. "Wait." Jooice said. Socks stopped and looked at Jooice in the eye. "Maybe we can have something more than a simple fight." Jooice took out an envelope and offered it to Socks. "Open this, and you will be taken to the battlefield." Jooice said. Socks was quiet for a minute. "Okay. I'll do it." He took the envelope. "But on one condition." "And what is that?" Jooice asked. "You let my friends go." Socks said. "All of them." "All right. But they can't help you in the fight, only stand and watch." Jooice warned. The dome disappeared, and TBH, Woolfster, and Laff fell from the wall. Jooice turned and disappeared. "Laff!" Socks said, and ran toward him. "Laff, are you okay?" TBH asked. Laff was pale, his expression dazed, his arm almost completely broken. "I...I don't know." Laff mumbled. "Socks, what were you thinking? You can't fight him, he's twenty-times stronger than you!" Meme argued. "I have to try! He took over Jooice, we have to get him back!" Socks said. "I can't lose anymore of my friends." The group got quiet. They all wished this had never happened. That they would all be friends again, and have fun times again. But Jooice was gone, and they had no idea what to do. Soon though, help would come. They were not alone.
