Chapter 3

Hey, y'all! Bit busy cause my school shut down for the rest of the week cause we were short-staffed, so now I am home bored to death. But I figured why not release the next chapter. *NOTE. Some violence in the chapter, and some language.*

Five days passed by since they last saw Laff. During this time, TBH spent day and night, trying to make a potion to wake him up. On the sixth night, he finished making a potion he believed was the right one. He gave it to Woolfster, who was sleeping peacefully on a bed. After a few seconds, he sighed. Nothing. He went back to the drawing board. Suddenly, he heard a gasp. He whipped around and saw Woolfster sitting up, looking at him. "TB? What happened?" "Oh thank God you're awake!" TBH sighed. "My head's still fuzzy. What happened? I know that I blocked you from the potion, and that I took the blow myself, but what happened after that?" he asked. "Well, we brought you here and I started making potions to see if they would wake you up, and one of them did." TBH smiled. Woolfster smiled back. "Wait, what about Laff? I threw a sword at him, but I don't know if I hit him." Woolfster asked, a frown on his face. "You hit him all right. Right in the shoulder and pinned him to the ground. But he pulled it out and disappeared. So we've been keeping an eye out. Socks, TBVG, and Meme are watching throughout the night." TBH said gravely. Woolfster sighed. "How long was I asleep?" TBH bit his lip. "About six days." Woolfster didn't say anything. "Come on. Let's go say hi to Socks and the others watching." TBH said, hoping to distract Woolfsters mind. A smile appeared on his face. "That would be nice," he said. He got up, but almost fell on his face if TBH didn't catch him. "Um, how about I help you?" TBH said. Woolfster laughed. "Yeah, that would be a good idea." So TBH let Woolfster lean on him, and helped him outside. Socks, Meme, and TBVG were talking to each other, when TBVG saw them walking to them. "Woolfster! You're awake!" he said happily, and ran over to him. Socks and Meme saw him, and also ran over to him. "Hey guys!" Woolfster said. "You okay?" Meme asked. "Well, my balance is a bit off, but other than that, I'm good." Woolfster chuckled. "Well, we're glad you're back." Socks said with relief. Woolfster smiled. Suddenly, they heard a stick break in the forest. Socks, Meme, and TBVG pulled their swords out. "Can you stand now?" TBH asked Woolfster. "I think so," he replied. TBH let him go, and thankfully, he was able to stand. TBH pulled two swords out and gave one to Woolfster. They started looking around for the source of the noise. "See anything?" TBVG asked. "No, nothing." Meme sighed. Once they searched the area, they grouped back together. "Maybe it was a zombie or something." Socks suggested. "I'm not sure, but that may be the case." TBH grimaced. "What the heck!" Woolfster yelled. They suddenly noticed they were surrounded by a ring fire, but it was dark as shadows. "What is this?" Meme asked. "Maybe it's Laff!" TBVG said. "No, Laff has yellowish green, and it's more like energy, not fire." TBH countered "But isn't fire a type of energy?" Woolfster asked. "You know what I mean. This is something else." TBH said. They had no idea what to do. "Um, Socks." Meme said. "Yeah?" "Please tell me that I am not hallucinating and seeing two things in the forest that look like people." Socks over in the direction Meme was looking and gasped. In the forest were two strange things. They looked like people! One was bright red, and seemed to be covered in fire. The other he could barely see, because they were pitch black like the shadows. "Find a way to get out of the ring yet?" He asked the group. "Um, no. Why?" TBH asked. Then the things started running to them. FAST. "Because strange things are running to us?" He pointed to the things so the group could see them. "What the..." TBH said. Then they appeared in the circle, holding swords. The red dude he saw was actually made of fire. The other was still black like shadows. The fire dude lunged at TBH, but he blocked his attack. Socks took his sword and shoved it into the red dude. But nothing happened. The sword didn't do anything to him! Socks then fell onto his back, then was being dragged by something. When he saw what was pulling him out, he realized the shadows came to life and were pulling him out! He saw that TBVG and Meme were also being pulled out. Only TBH and Woolfster were left in the ring. They were looking around for the strange things. "Where'd they go?" Meme panted. Then, before anyone could react, the red dude popped behind TBH and the other behind Woolfster, swords at the ready. "LOOK OUT!" Socks yelled, but it was too late. They both shoved their swords into them. Then the ring disappeared. After a few seconds, the strange things and their weapons disappeared. "No!" TBVG cried. They ran over to them, both of them on the ground. "Are you okay?" Socks asked TBH. "Uh...I don't know." he winced. "It's going to be fine. Meme, go wake the others up." Socks ordered him. Meme ran to the houses without question. "How's Woolfster?" Socks asked TBVG. "I don't know, he can't talk." TBVG said, his voice wavering. "TBH, how are you feeling?" Socks asked him. "Really tired. And everything is on fire." he whispered. Socks looked up to the houses. Where was everyone? When he looked back to TBH, he yelped. He was gone. "What the heck!? Where is he!?" Socks yelled. "Where's Woolfster?!" TBVG asked. "Where did they go?" Socks wondered.

...

TBH opened his eyes. The pain was gone. He sat up. He was in a strange, empty, black place. Something caught his eyes. "Woolfster!" He ran over to him. "Woolfster, wake up!" TBH said, shaking him awake. "Wha? What happened?" Woolfster sat up. "I don't know," he admitted. They looked around at their surroundings. "Where are we, is the question." TBH said. "It is best not to know." a voice said. They looked around to see who spoke. "Over here." another voice said. They turned and could not believe their eyes. What they saw were two wolves, but one had fur that looked red, and their eyes were ruby red. The other had black fur, and light blue eyes. "Did you speak?" Woolfster asked. "Yes we did." The red one said. "Yeah, this is a dream." TBH said. "No it's not. And we need you." the black one said. "Our help with what?" TBH asked. "An evil creature is planning something that will tear your friends apart." the red one said gravely. That caught their attention. "Wait, tear us apart? You mean that we'll have another war?" Woolfster asked. "Even worse. One side will have a higher advantage. That's why we need to act now." Above TBH's and Woolfster's head, different colored orbs appeared. "What is that?" TBH asked. "If you don't act now, your friend Laff will be gone forever. I don't mean dead. I mean that Laff will never see you as friends anymore. He will want you dead." A heavy silence hung in the air. Woolfster sighed. "TB, if we don't do this, we could lose everything. We almost had that happen." "I know! It's just that...I don't know if I trust them." TBH whispered. "Listen, if they said that we could lose Laff, then they must know something we don't." Woolfster argued. TBH sighed. "Okay, we can listen to them." TBH said. "Well, then. What do we have to do?" Woolfster asked the wolves. "Just simply wait." the black one said. Then everything went black for them.

...

"Where are they? They couldn't have just walked off, they were injured!" Blaza said. Blaza, Dino, Nadwe, oof, and Muffin were all outside, helping look for TBH and Woolfster. "I don't understand. You said they were stabbed by weird looking people, then they disappeared, leaving Woolfster and TBH wounded, and then you look up for a split second, and they're gone!?" Nadwe asked. "Exactly!" Socks said. Suddenly, the sound of someone falling filled the silence. The group ran over to the sound. "There you guys are!" Meme said. "What the heck just happened?" Woolfster groaned. "Wait, you guys aren't wounded anymore." TBVG realized. They saw that he was right. The hole in their chest were both gone. "No idea how, but happy that I'm not dying anymore." TBH said. "Come on, let's head back." Muffin said. So they all went back to the village. While they were on their way back TBH and Woolfster were in the back, whispering about their strange encounter. "Should we tell the others?" TBH asked. "I don't know. Maybe in the morning." Woolfster said. "I mean, they said to wait, but for how long?" "...I don't know." They finally made it back to the village. "I'm going to tell them. Better now than later." TBH said. "Yeah." "Guys, we need to tell you something." TBH said. "Um, later, because something really weird is right in front of us." Nadwe said. When they got closer, they saw a little flame and a shadow shaped like a ball hovering in midair. "Wait, the wolves." Woolfster said. "What wolves?" Blaza asked. Oops. "Um." But before he could answer, the fire and shadow zoomed to the group. "Get down!" Socks said. The others all got down, but they went towards TBH and Woolfster. It went straight into them. "Oh, God." TBH said. He felt energy thrumming through him. Woolfster felt himself wide awake with energy, as if he had gotten enough energy to stay awake for a week. "What the fuck?" Meme said. "What just happened?" TBH said nervously. "I don't know." Woolfster said. "It's time to end this." someone said. A yellowish beam flashed at Woolfster, throwing him into a web and trapping him. "Let me out!" he yelled, struggling to break free. "Up there!" Dino said. They looked up at the trees, and saw Laff standing there. "Laff, don't do this. If you continue to do this, you could start another war!" TBH said. "I don't care. I just need you." Laff's eyes flashed yellow, and TBH fell to the ground, holding his head. "No, not again!" he groaned. "This time, I'm not making it easy." Laff said. Something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. Laff turned to it and froze. His shadow was leaving him, and heading to the web he trapped Woolfster in. More shadows followed it. "No!" Laff said. This is what he was afraid of. The shadow broke the trap, and went to Woolfster. He flew through the air, and landed in front of Laff. Laff backed up, unsure what would happen. "Looks like we have our own help, Laff." Woolfster said. Suddenly, shadows shot to his hand, forming a dark saber. He threw the sword at Laff, who blocked the sword from impaling him. Shadows suddenly wrapped around him, trapping him. He burst free from them, the shadows scurrying away. "Just stop this nonsense!" Laff said, and shot a beam at Woolfster, shooting him back. Woolfster landed, and tried to get up, but just fell back down, too weak to stand up. "Woolfster!" Muffin yelled. Laff turned his attention back to TBH. TBH felt the pain come back to his head, but he felt a strange heat inside him. A powerful energy, waiting to come out. He was pissed at whoever made Laff turn against them. He focused on making that energy grow. He felt it getting hotter and hotter. No one else noticed this happening to him. "What the heck?" oompa said. They turned to him and had to duck, because little streams of fire rushed to TBH. Laff froze. He could no longer get into his head and control him. The fire filled TBH's hand. His eyes were red and orange. He shot a fireball at Laff, and it hit him on his arm. It burned his shirt and barely burned him, but enough to make him feel pain. He winced, trying not to show weakness. Woolfster finally managed to get up. TBH shot up to him. "You good?" he asked. "I guess. Let's end this." Woolfster said. TBH nodded. Both shadows and fire filled their hands. "You want to fight?" Laff asked. He shot a beam at them, but Woolfster blocked it with another dark saber. TBVG threw a shuriken to try and help them, but Laff simply blocked it, and trapped the group in a dome. Laff hadn't noticed what Woolfster and TBH were doing, until he turned back. They had managed to combine powers, fire and shadows mixed as one. They shot the beam at him, and Laff summoned his own and shot it at the beam, and they collided. The beams fought against each other. TBH and Woolfster fought hard to fight him. They wanted to make him give up. Not harm him in any way. Then, slowly, the fire and shadow beam started to overtake the yellow one. Soon, it was almost at Laff, and he struggled to fight it. "Laff, we just want you back!" TBH said. Suddenly, a person in a hooded cloak appeared next to Laff. He grabbed him, and then both him and the stranger disappeared. The beam faded away, and the dome vanished. "Who was that?" Socks asked. "I don't know. They were hiding beneath that cloak." Nadwe said. TBH and Woolfster jumped down from the trees. "What was that! That was insane!" TBVG said. "I honestly don't know. But it was...I don't know, pretty cool." TBH said. "Something tells me this will help us get Laff back." Woolfster said. The group agreed. "Well, let's get some rest, then head to the base to see what else you can do." Socks said, pointing at TBH and Woolfster. So they all went back to the house.

...

Laff fell to the ground. It took all his energy to fight that beam, but they were much stronger. When he looked at the stranger, he felt like he knew him, but he couldn't tell. "Who are you?" he asked. The stranger didn't say anything. He suddenly disappeared, just like he appeared. Laff was speechless. He didn't know what just happened. He got up, and went back into the forest, hoping to find this mysterious stranger.
