"Zack, please wake up." Natalie whispered, tears starting to fall. Zack was still unresponsive. She had run over to him, and was begging him to wake up. She closed her eyes, taking in reality. Then, his eyes fluttered open. "Nat?" he croaked. "Zack." Natalie said, and pulled him into a hug. "Don't ever leave me again." she whispered. Zack held her close. "I won't." he promised. Natalie let go of him. "You're all I have left of Mom and Dad anyway." Zack said. Natalie chuckled. They both got up, then Zack looked at the group. "I can't thank you enough. I thought I lost her forever." Zack said. "Well, we both were going to lose someone important." Socks said. Zack smiled a little. "How do we get off the island?" Muffin asked. "I...don't know actually." Jooice admitted. "Well, looks like we will have to find another way." Natalie said. "I don't think we can just jump off the island, can we?" TBH asked. "Actually, we are in between land and water, I just forget which side it's on." Jooice remembered. "Well, how do we find out?" Zack asked. "I think on the side that has water at the bottom, there is a little mark in the stone that looks like a tree." Jooice said. They began to look for anything in the stone. "I found it!" Laff said. Jooice ran over, and saw a little tree in the stone. "That's it." he confirmed. "Well, who should go first?" Laff asked. Jooice thought about this. Not him, Socks, even Zack shouldn't go. They almost died today. "I'll go." he jumped when Natalie snuck up behind him. "Are you sure? Zack may not...you know." Laff said hesitantly. "I don't care what he says. Even though he is my brother, I am going to put him behind, because he almost died today." Natalie said. Then before they could do anything, she hopped over the side, and went down. They looked over to the side, and saw her falling down. "Um..." Jooice said speechless. "Guys, where's Natalie?" Zack asked. "..." They didn't know what to say.
(This is the part that took a while, this is when they all talk telepathically. Pls enjoy.)
Natalie: "Laff! It's fine, it's water!" Laff jumped. "What is it?" Jooice asked.
Zack: "Natalie! Did you jump down?" Laff jumped again. "Okay, what is happening?" Jooice asked again.
Laff: "They are giving me a headache." "Okay, that is freaky," Jooice said. Had he imagined hearing Laff's voice in his head?
Laff: "Uh, no you're not."
Socks: "I can hear you guys across the field, y'know."
Zack: "Wait, you know how to talk telepathically now?"
Socks: "I mean, I kinda found it out after I saw, or... whatever. Laff and Natalie were talking about something telepathically right in front of me, so I put the dots together."
TBH: "Okay, who do I hear in my head?"
Socks: "Oh, hey TBH."
TBH: "Socks? Okay, what is happening?"
Natalie: "Hello? Aren't we trying to get off the island?"
Laff: "Oh, yeah" The conversation ended there. "Is she down there?" Meme asked. He had heard something in his head but didn't ask any questions. "Yeah, that's Natalie for you." Zack sighed. "What do you mean?" Woolfster asked. "Ever since she was born, she was always looking for adventure. Sometimes a little rebellious. She would always want to see the land below us, which was your home. One time, I took her down, just to see your village. She was amazed at everything, even the smallest things." Zack smiled. He remembered her face when she saw it. One of them, he thinks it was Blaza, had gone outside for something. Natalie almost went out of their little hiding place when Zack stopped her, and told her that they couldn't make contact with them. "But why?" she asked. He didn't know, until later, when he asked his parents. "Well, we are only here for so long, because something bad here may hurt them, and we are going to stop it. Once it's gone, we're leaving. We wouldn't want to leave them without any trace. So it's best if we stay away from them." his Dad explained. "But why not tell them the truth?" he asked. "We can't, honey. If we do, they might try to hurt us, because they may get scared of our ability." his Mom said. After that, he stopped asking questions. But many more had filled his head. "Hey, you good?" He blinked. He had zoned out, remember that night. Socks had a worried look on his face. "You kinda zoned out. The others went down." "They did?" he asked. Sure enough, when he looked around, no one else was in sight. "Well let's head down." Zack said. He went to the side of the island. He felt himself get dizzy just looking down. "You good?" Socks asked. "Uh, no. I am kinda...um...scared of heights." Zack admitted. "Wait, you lived on an island in the sky, and you're scared of heights?" Socks asked. "Yeah. It happened when I was little, so..." Zack said. "Well, Natalie is down there. And if you don't hurry up..." The snapped Zack awake. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Put a finger on her, and I'll." But Socks slipped off the edge. "I am gonna kill him," Zack murmured. He jumped off the edge and went down to the water. At first, he didn't see that water, then the blue appeared, and he landed right in it. Foam floated around him, the coolness of the water calming him down. He burst onto the surface. "Zack!" He turned around and saw Socks swimming over to him. "I am going to kill you tonight." Zack said. "Eh, I know. But I wouldn't." Socks said a smile on his face. "Yeah, I figured." Zack said. "Well, where's the shore?" Socks asked.
Meme: "Guys?"
Socks: "Oh, hey Meme. Do you know where the shore is?"
Meme: "I know Laff, Natalie, Jooice, Nadwe, Dino and I are at the shore. The others haven't shown up yet."
Zack: "Have you tried reaching them?"
Meme: "No, I figured you guys were the farthest away, so I decided to try and reach you first."
Woolfster: "Hey guys."
Socks: "Woolfster! Where are you?"
Woolfster: "You guys aren't far from the shore. Just swim away from the sun."
Zack: "Thanks. Let the others know in case they're lost."
Meme: "Okay." They began to swim away from the sun, which was setting and painting the sky with pink and orange. "There!" Zack said. Ahead of them was a sandy beach. They saw a few people standing there. As they got closer, they could see who it was. "There you guys are!" Dino said. They finally made it up to the shore, soaking wet. "That was exhausting." Socks said. "Hold on." Meme said. Zack was confused at first, then saw the water on him coming off him in little streams. "I forgot you could do that," Woolfster said. "I did too, until Laff reminded me." Meme admitted. Soon enough, they were dry as if they had never even touched the water. "Thanks man." Socks said. "No problem." Meme said. Then he suddenly staggered. "Whoa, okay. Take it easy." Jooice said, catching him. "I'm fine. I'm fine. It's just I haven't used my ability for long periods of time yet, so it drained me." Meme said. "Okay, just rest until the others come." Natalie said. "I can live with that," he agreed. They all sat down and waited for the others to come. For a while, they were worried that they were all stranded at sea. But when night fell, they ended up coming into view. "We all came from different directions, so that's why it took longer." TBVG explained, while Meme took all the water off them. Jooice noticed the Meme had a strained face, as if trying as hard as he could not to pass out. "Meme, do you need a break?" he asked. "Uh, no. I'm fine." he said, but his face said the opposite. When he finally finished, he felt nauseous and light-headed. "Okay, you're clearly NOT fine," Laff said, holding Meme steady. "Uh, yeah. You're maybe right." Meme admitted. His legs felt like lead. "Hey, guys. Me and Nadwe looked around the place, and we are not too far from the base." Woolfster said. "Let's wait a little bit. Some of us are tired. And it is night." Zack said, looking up at the starry sky. He hadn't seen it in such a long time. "Hey." Natalie said. Zack turned and saw her. Her eyes shone in the dark night, piercing gray. "Are you okay?" she asked. He got quiet for a second. "I am now. Cause I finally found you." They both held each other close. "I just wish that I got to say bye to them one last time." he choked. "Me too." Natalie whispered. They both lay down on the sand, and looked up at the stars dancing in the sky. "I almost forgot who I was. Everything about me is still coming back." Zack admitted. "Then I'll help you." Natalie promised. Zack smiled. They fell asleep on the little beach, waiting out the night.
...
As the sun rose the next day, so did the group. They all went towards the village. "Meme, you okay? You look pale." Nadwe asked Meme as they were walking. "Still recovering from yesterday, that's all." Meme said, but he didn't exactly agree with himself. He felt dizzy, but he wanted to go home. So he ignored it, and pushed forward. Jooice felt like he was missing something. Something was wrong, something about the village. "Hey, Natalie." Jooice said, running up to her. "Yeah, what is it?" she asked. "I think...I might have done something to the village while I was..." Jooice stopped mid-sentence. But Natalie knew what he meant. "I'll run ahead." she said, and took off. "Where'd she go?" Zack asked Jooice. "I think something happened before Chaos left me. He did something to the village." Jooice explained. Zack nodded. "Zack, when I was in that place, that hellish place, I saw memories that weren't mine. Were they yours?" Jooice asked. Zack sighed. "I think so. Because both you and me were forced into...whatever that place is, our minds and conscience were sorta...connected. So, that's why we saw memories that weren't ours, or we felt emotions that we weren't exactly feeling at that moment." Zack explained. Jooice felt uncomfortable. He had some of Zack's memories, and Zack had some of his. "I'm pretty sure you feel uncomfortable about this." Zack guessed. "Uh, yeah. Definitely." Jooice said. "Yeah, it's not the best." Zack agreed. They walked in silence for a few minutes. "But can you live with these memories, not just mine, but all the others with Chaos. Can you live with it?" Zack asked. Jooice didn't know how to answer. He still felt like it was his fault for all this. He pulled out a small dagger from his pocket. He looked at it with such rigger. "Jooice, even if you pay for it, it will never get you what you want." Zack warned. Jooice was torn. Zack grabbed the dagger out of his hand. "Snap out of it." Zack said. Jooice looked down. He was fighting with himself now. "Listen, when we get back, we'll both figure out what to do, kay?" Zack asked. Jooice took a shaky breath. "Okay. I can do that." Jooice promised. Zack smiled. "Thanks." Natalie came back through the woods. "You're right Jooice. He did something to the village." she panted. "What about the village?" Dino asked. The group had heard her. "Chaos did something. He sent the army in, and destroyed the village." she said. There was a second of silence. Then TBH ran toward the village. "TBH, wait!" Woolfster said, running after him. TBH wouldn't believe her. Their village, their home, destroyed again. He wouldn't. He burst through the clearing, and his heart shattered. The village was aflame, everything ransacked and stolen. "No, no no no." He whispered. The rest of the group came up behind him. "Oh my God." Muffin whispered. "I thought they only stayed and watched the village, not destroy it!" Natalie said. "I think Chaos did this while we were up on the battlefield." Jooice said. Meme brought a rain cloud over the village, and it put the fire out. When it ended, Meme knew that he had overused his ability. He almost hit the ground if Zack didn't catch him. "Passed out." Zack said. "He did look pale while we were walking," Nadwe said. He carefully laid him down. They walked down into the village. A few buildings still smoldered, but otherwise it was over. TBH and Woolfster were looking around in the house they had finished repairing together. "What about the army? Will they come back?" oompa asked. "Probably not. When they find out Chaos is gone, they'll get back to whatever they do." Natalie assumed. Zack looked at her. "You know what we can do. The land is gone, and the mobs will probably come back for revenge, and maybe capture Jooice because they may think he is still their leader." Natalie looked down. "I...I don't know if I'm ready for it though." she said. "Natalie, just focus." Zack said. Socks was confused. What were they talking about? Natalie took a deep breath. Her eyes blazed gold, and a vine broke through from the center of the village. "What the?" Dino said. The vine was pure white, unlike Natalie's golden vine. The vine was right in front of her. She grabbed it, and focused on the one place that was special to her heart. The white vine then shone with such light, that they were all blind for a few seconds. Then it faded away, and when they saw after it, they will never forget it. The village was restored, and the land around it seemed like it came out of a fantasy novel. The forest was bright green, and a waterfall came down from a high mountain. The mountains looked purple, and capped with snow at the top. "Wait." Socks felt like he recognized the place. As he looked around, he looked at the waterfall in the distance. He turned to where it faced a ginormous tree, and it faced the tallest mountain. He took a sharp breath. This is the world behind the door! He looked at Natalie, but she looked tired. "Wait, what happened?" Socks turned and saw Meme walking to him, admiring the new village. "Did I pass out or something? Because I don't remember the village like this." He asked Socks. "I don't know. Natalie did something, but I don't think we should ask." Socks whispered to him. He decided to keep it a secret. Zack was holding Natalie close, when he felt something in his pocket. "What the heck?" he asked, baffled. He pulled it out of his pocket, and it was a thin crystal, almost platinum colored. "Oh my God! Where the hell did you get that?" Natalie asked, amazed and confused. "What is it?" Laff asked. "It's a crystal that allows people to go to different worlds." Natalie explained. "Wait, you mean, people can come into our world?" Nadwe asked. Natalie nodded. "Okay, so how does it work?" Jooice asked. "I honestly don't know." she said. Suddenly, it shot out of her hand, and went a little ways outside the village. They ran after it, and found it had made a circular cloud. "Is that the portal connecting the worlds?" Laff asked. "I think so." Zack said. Suddenly someone came through the portal. He had black pants, a green sweater, and wore a mask with a smiley face on it. "Wait a second. Are you Dream?" Socks asked, bewildered. "Um, yeah. That's me." he confirmed. "Oh my God." Blaza said. "Where am I? And who are you?" Dream asked, confused. "I'm Socksfor1, but you can just call me Socks." Socks said. "Nice to meet you. Maybe you can explain why I am here." Dream said. Suddenly, a young man came out of the portal. He had dark black hair which covered one of his eyes, wore a mask, a black sweater, and grey pants. "Wait, Aph? Where..." He was very confused about where he was. "Who are you?" Dream asked the man. "I'm Zane. I was just with my friend Aphmau, when some cloud thing appeared. It didn't suck me in, I just decided to see what would happen if I got close to it, and then I went through, thinking I would appear on the other side, but ended up here." "Natalie, can we talk alone for a sec?" Socks asked her. They went over to the side. "Do you realize who they are?" Socks asked her. "Um, no. I never had any outside connection with any worlds, even this one!" Natalie said. "When you said worlds, I thought you meant different parts of this world, not worlds where people live like Dream!" Socks said exasperated. "Hey, listen. Don't worry. I mean, from the looks of it, now that you know you can talk to him, think of other people you could chat with too." Natalie said. Socks thought about that for a moment. "Now c'mon. Maybe more people came through." They went back to the group, where they found another person there. This time, there was a man in a suit, with eyes like an enderman, but green. "Hi there!" Natalie said. The man turned around. "Oh, hello! Didn't see you there. My name's Sigils." "Well, can you tell us where you are? I just found this cool crystal, and then the cloud appeared today." Dream said. "I did see a crystal on the ground where the portal thing was." Zane said. "We have the crystal right here." Dino said. The three men looked at the crystal. "Yeah, looks just like the one I found." Sigils said. "So our worlds are connected?" Dream asked. "I believe so." Zack said. "I mean, I thought I would never meet Dream, but now." Socks said. "Yeah. I wonder if we can bring the others. I think they would like to meet you all." Zane said. Everyone in the group was excited. Chaos was gone, they found new people to talk to, and their home was fixed. They all had a good feeling about this. They all were ready for whatever came at them.
