Chapter 14 (Part 2)
Hey guys! So I killed Socks. Now, what happens? Jooice is now mentally broken, and the others are stunned. Also, I need to decide whether I should do a sneak peek for book number 2 or not. Help me decide! WARNING: Violence and language.
"No." Jooice whispered. He fell to his knees. Tears poured down his face. "What did I do?" he whispered. "Jooice?" He heard Laff above him. "Hey." Laff kneeled down next to him. Jooice turned to him. Laff grabbed him and held him in a hug. "We missed you." Laff said. Jooice was quiet for a while. "Hey, it's not your fault. Socks did that so we could have you back." Laff said. Jooice sighed. "Come on." Laff stood up, and held out his hand. Jooice took it, and Laff helped him up. When he got up, Laff gasped. "What?" Jooice asked. "Your face, the black is gone!" He said. Jooice saw something move under his feet. He turned around and saw a puddle of black, moving away from him. "You're free." Laff said. Jooice saw that the group was standing a few yards away. They both began to walk to them. "Hey guys." Jooice said. "Hey. You good?" TBH asked. Jooice wasn't sure how to answer. "I...I don't know," he said. "Jooice, it wasn't your fault." Natalie said. Jooice nodded, but he still felt guilty. He fell to his knees, and just kneeled there, tears falling down from his face. The group was now quiet. Socks was gone. He was dead. They could've done something, but they couldn't risk anyone else getting hurt. Natalie was looking over at the place where Jooice ended his life. She smiled. TBH saw this and looked where she was looking, and gasped. "What?" Laff asked. He turned and his heart froze. Jooice heard them, and turned around to see what they were looking at. "Son of a bitch." TBH said. Socks was on the wall, alive, and smiling at the group.. Jooice slowly got up. "Socks?" he whispered. He started running toward him. Socks smiled, hopped off the wall, and ran toward him. Jooic ran into him and Socks held him in a tight hug. "I thought you died." Jooice said. Socks let go of him. "Does it look like I'm dead?" Socks asked. "Socks, but how? You were stabbed, you fell off the island!" Jooice said in disbelief. "Um, yeah, after falling off the island, I ended up in some dark place, then woke up and found myself here." Socks explained. "The power host!" Natalie said. Socks nodded. "Wait, you knew it was there?" Dino asked. "Yeah, I saw it. It's like...like it knew what had to happen." Socks said. "Incredible." Natalie said. "Don't think this is over yet." they heard someone say. They all turned around, and saw Zack. His eyes blazed with hate. "Zack, please come back." Natalie said, her eyes filled with tears. "Little girl, he's gone. I've convinced him that you're as good as dead." "THAT'S A LIE! HE WOULD NEVER BELIEVE YOU! NOT AFTER EVERYTHING THAT HAS HAPPENED!" Natalie yelled. Her heart burned for her brother back. He shook his head. "I don't need to worry about this. I just need Jooice." Jooice paled. Socks stepped in front of him. "You won't get him. Not this time." he said with such hate and venom in his voice. He pulled out his sword, and it shone with a bright light. "You think because you all have abilities, you'll be able to defeat me?" Zack said, almost laughing. "I might as well just get it done and over with." Multiple vines shot from the ground, hitting everyone away from the group. Laff tried to put a shield around him and Jooice, but he got wrapped up in vines, and pulled away from him. "We can't have you in the way, can we?" Zack said. "LET ME GO!" Laff yelled, struggling to break free. Zack rolled his eyes, and flung him to the other side of the island. Jooice tried to run, but Zack made walls appear on either side of him. Jooice was trapped. Socks got to his knees and saw what was happening. He was too far away to get him out of the way. Jooice was shaking with fear. "Zack, don't do this." Jooice said. He chuckled. "You don't understand. Zack isn't the one in control. I am." He pulled out a Dark Arrow, and flung it at Jooice. He braced for it to hit him. But he felt nothing. He opened his eyes, and his heart froze. Socks was standing in front of him, the arrow hitting him instead. Zack was speechless. Why would he do this? Suddenly, he faded. Socks wasn't there. "What the?" "Hey! Looking for me?" They turned and saw Socks on the platform. "What? How are you alive?" Jooice said. "I don't know." Socks said, with a hint of laughter in his voice, as if he was hiding something right in front of them. Zack growled. "You won't escape this time!" he yelled, throwing another Dark Arrow at him. He didn't flinch as it hit him. He faded away, just like last time. "What is going on?" Meme asked. "Over here!" Socks said. They turned and saw him, holding something bright in his hands. "What is this?" Zack asked. "Wow, you are really stupid." Socks exclaimed. Zack's face twisted in fury. "It's my ability, dumbass. I can bend light and make light." Socks said. He bent it into the shape of a book. Then into a flower. Then it faded away. "I mean, that's not the only thing I can do." Socks said. He pulled his sword out which shone brighter than before. Then he himself started to glow, until he was too bright to look at. Then he launched himself at Zack, fighting with such speed, it didn't seem possible. He then launched away from Zack, landing next to Jooice, and the glow from him faded, until he was back to himself. "What the hell was that?" Jooice asked. "Um, I just moved at the speed of light." Socks said plainly. Jooice stared at him. "You think because you're faster than me, you can beat me?" Zack said. He was bruised up, and had several scratches everywhere. "I just pounded you into the ground. I think I can beat you. But know this. You will never get your hands on Jooice." Socks said. "You really want to protect him? After all he's done?" Zack asked. "Wasn't his fault." Socks said. Jooice was quiet. He felt like it was his fault. He didn't say anything. Zack chuckled. "You have really forgotten that I am Chaos. I have only used a fraction of my power on you." Black seeped through the air suddenly, all going towards him. The group was together, and they watched as the black went into him. It seeped in, making his skin darker than ever, and he seemed to radiate with evil. "Okay, we have to make sure he doesn't get Jooice. Natalie, take him to the room below one of the platforms. Make sure that Zack doesn't get him." Socks said. "What? I'm not leaving you!" Jooice argued. "Jooice, we can't risk him getting you. He may even go to extreme measures to make sure that you don't escape his hold again." Laff said. Jooice looked down at his feet. "Okay. But promise me you'll be careful." Jooice finally agreed. "We'll try." Socks said. Natalie and Jooice ran over to the platform where the group stood, and went into the little waiting room beneath it. "Something tells me you haven't planned this far, right?" Blaza asked Socks. "Um, yeah. I just needed to make sure Jooice was out of the way." Socks admitted. "So what now?" TBH asked. " Give him hell." Socks said. The black was gone, now in Zack. "You think that you'll beat me now?" Zack asked. Socks shrugged his shoulders. "I don't see why not. I mean, you were a pretty big dumbass a few minutes ago." Then all hell broke loose. They fought against him for so long. "ENOUGH OF THIS SHIT!" Zack roared. Vines burst from the ground, and wrapped themselves around them all. They were wrapped so tight, some of them even had a hard time breathing. Socks struggled to break free, but the vines just tightened even more. "Don't hurt Jooice." he rasped, his breath being cut short. Zack laughed aloud. "You're the dumbass now! You think I am not going to hurt him? You make me laugh." A vine shot into the room, and caught both Natalie and Jooice by surprise. Even more surprising, it didn't go after Jooice, but wrapped up Natalie. "Natalie!" Jooice said. "Jooice!" Natalie said, and tried to break free. It failed. "A sword won't work. Jooice, you have to face him." Natalie said. Jooice got quiet. "I can't." he said. "Jooice, the fact you're still alive, and able to do anything, it means that you're stronger than you think." Natalie said. Jooice looked down. "You can do it." Natalie said. Jooice sighed. He grabbed a Netherite sword, and went up to the hatch. He opened it up and got out. Zack smirked. "Jooice! What are you doing?" Socks yelled, but then a vine wrapped around his mouth, making him silent. "Let them go." Jooice said shakily. "Oh, I don't think so. I can't risk them getting you and running away. But, if you don't agree to listen to me, then your friends are going to have a harder time breathing." The vines tightened even more, and some even started to cough. "Okay, fine! Don't hurt them! Please." Jooice said, panic in his voice. It was a few seconds before the vines loosened. Only a little. "Jooice, don't do this." Woolfster rasped. Jooice ignored him and looked Zack in his eye, a newfound fire burning in him. "What do you want?" he asked. "Just hold still." Zack said, and before Jooice could react, he flung a Dark Arrow at his heart. It seeped into him, and he felt darkness take over. "Let's make this easy." Zack said. He felt himself fall into the same hellish place as before, but before Zack could take his place, he yanked him to the ground and punched him in the chest. "You won't make this easy? Fine." he said. He shot a black beam at Jooice, and he ducked down to avoid being hit. Zack appeared out of nowhere in front of him, and grabbed him by the throat. "You know, you've been a real pain in the ass, you know that?" Zack said. Jooice tried to escape his grip, but he just made it tighter. "Let's end this, shall we?" Zack smirked. Black vines went up his legs, slowly enveloping him. In the real world, the group saw that Jooice was getting paler and paler. "He's killing him." Meme realized. Socks was still gagged, and was now trying to use the light from the sun to burn the vines, but it was no use. When Socks heard Meme say that, he looked at Jooice and saw it too. He felt his heart freeze. He lost Jooice. Still inside, Jooice was almost gone, the blackness eating him alive. "I must say, I am impressed that you survived this long." Zack said to Jooice, the blackness crawling up his face. Jooice look at him dead in the eye. "Just because I'm like this, being eaten alive by this thing, doesn't mean you will win." He said. Socks saw a tiny bit of color return to his face, but it faded as quickly as it came. Something caught his eye. He turned and saw something flickering, in the shape of someone. A power host. He thought. It seemed to spark and flicker with energy. It couldn't be light, so what was it? He could see it pull out a sword. Deep inside, Jooice could feel life draining from him, the blackness feeding on it. The power host took its sword, and drove it into Jooice's back. Jooice felt something burst with energy inside him, and the blackness fell off him. Zack, blinded by the power, lost control over Jooice, and he was back in the real world. "What?" Zack said, baffled. From the room where Natalie was still wrapped up, a golden beam shot at the vines, and it tore through them like paper. They all fell down, and the beam returned to Natalie's hand, who appeared out of the room. "Where's Jooice?" Natalie asked Socks. "Uh...It...it was a power host." he said, trying to catch his breath. "A power host?" TBVG said. "Yeah, I saw it." Socks said. A thunderclap sounded through the air suddenly, making them jump. "A storm? It was sunny just a few minutes ago." Nadwe said. The sky grew dark. "Wait, what if..." Socks began to say, but suddenly, a lightning bolt stuck down between him and Natalie. When it disappeared, Jooice stood there. "Jooice?" Socks whispered. "Hey Socks. Guess you're not the only one who almost died." Jooice said, his eyes suddenly a bright blueish-white. "We're not finished." Zack said, and shot a black vine at him. Jooice didn't flinch as it streaked to him. He grabbed it out of midair suddenly, and it vanished in a poof of smoke. Zack stared at him. "My turn." Jooice said, and he shot a lightning bolt right at Zack. Zack tried to block it, but he was too late. It hit him square in the chest. "Socks, we have to blast Chaos out of him." Jooice said to him, still hitting Zack with the lightning. "You sure?" Socks asked. "Positive." Jooice said. Socks looked at Zack, and then shot a beam of light at him. It hit Zack, right in the chest too. He fell to his knees. Chaos and Zack were both fighting for control. The others got the hint, and they also shot beams or vines at him, whatever would work. He was still on his knees, his head on fire. "Zack, please come back!" Natalie said, firing her own golden beam. Finally, Chaos could no longer fight against them. He was blasted out, and he vanished into the air. They all stopped fighting him. Zack lay there, his skin now his dark tan. He didn't move.
