28-Raksha
It had been five weeks since that day and my puppies could now hear, see, and slowly mastering walking.
The little chatter boxes were never quiet and I decided that it was time for their first trip outside.
I crawled out and was followed by my four puppies shortly after; three males, Grey, Akela, and Baloo; my single female pup was Little Raksha.
Obviously Pietro named them to continue the tradition HYDRA started with my name.
When Akela poked his head out, "Woah," was all he could say as he crawled out and stood by me.
I heard Pietro making his way over, he hadn't been in my den to see the puppies since they'd opened their eyes.
Little Raksha followed Akela's example along with Baloo.
Grey was more hesitant than the others, he was the runt.
They started to chase each other around the small clearing, staying within my line of sight.
Grey stuck by my side like glue though.
Pietro entered the clearing and saw my Labrador-sized puppies, he gave a small laugh, "First day out Raksha?" He called to me.
I looked at him and gave a howling bark.
The bark grabbed the attention of Akela, Little Raksha, and Baloo.
They noticed Pietro and ran behind my large figure, with a small whimper from Little Raksha.
Pietro chuckled, "They do not remember me huh?"
I turned my head to look at my pups, "It's only Pietro," I chuffed at them.
They peeked around me, "He doesn't look fast like you told us," Akela stated o-so matter or factly.
I rolled my eyes and laid my head on my paws, "And did you know that some birds can fly at around two hundred miles an hour? Do they look fast?"
All their little jaws dropped, "Really?"
I nodded and I could hear Pietro laughing quietly behind me, probably wondering what I was telling them.
I turned to look at him and saw him now sitting on the ground.
Akela crept from behind me and slowly approached Pietro.
When Akela was close enough, Pietro held out a hand.
Akela being Akela, pounced onto his arm with a playful growl.
Baloo and Little Raksha followed Akela's example and started to rough house with Pietro.
Grey stayed with me, still a bit frightened of Pietro.
I licked between his ears on his forehead, "Why don't you go play with your siblings?"
He sat and folded his ears against his head, looking down, "I don't think they like me very much because I'm small,".
I frowned the best a wolf can, "Of course they like you, because we're wolves. And the pack always," I stopped before I could finish the sentence and looked at him.
Grey looked up a bit more cheerful, "And the pack always sticks together," he barked and got up and ran to play with Pietro and his siblings.
I got up and laid down on top of my den, watching the scene with pride.
