I felt like I was being watched, I turned around quickly, putting an arrow into the drawstring of my bow and taking aim.

I was slightly surprised to see a huge wolf staring at me with a hungry face.

It looked emaciated and in obvious pain.

It growled at me baring its teeth, putting back its ears and fluffing up its fur so it didn't look so weak.

"Guys, there's a huge wolf out here staring at me like I'm dinner, I'm pretty sure it came from the base, it has a large metal collar,".

A flurry of voices sounded over the com, "Clint, it's Steve, do not engage unless it attacks you, who knows what they did to it,".

Natasha added, "Don't get eaten Barton,".

Tony felt the need to say, "Wolf eats chicken, huh, sounds about right on the food chain,".

A large amount of, "Shut up Stark," sounded from over the com.

The wolf started circling me.

I followed it movements, but I was hesitant with one little turn, that's when it launched its attack.

I turned just in time to shoot an arrow in its chest, but it was already on top of me.

It shrieked in pain, cutting deep in my shoulder.

I gave a shout of pain and the com immediately filled with shouts of concern.

The wolf ran when I finally said, "I'm fine, I don't think I can shoot with my bow though,".

"I'm coming to pick you up stay put," Nat ordered.

I gave a pained groan, "Where am I gonna go, Nat?"

Silence filled the com, "Shut up birdbrain," I laughed a bit and waited for Natasha.

Currently, we were in the meeting room filling in Fury of what all happened.

Cho had come and patched up my shoulder so that felt better.

"We found evidence that there was an experiment they let loose as soon as you got there, most likely an animal,".

Steve spoke up, "Clint got attacked by what he said was an abnormally large wolf,".

Fury turned his gaze to me, "This true Barton?"

I nodded, "Yes sir, it was extremely emaciated and had a metal collar weighing it down. It ran off after I shot it, my arrow should still be in its chest. You can track it down that way, all my arrows have tracking devices in them," I informed.

Fury nodded in approval, "Where is the wolf Hill,".

Maria looked up from her station, "It ran just under ten miles away from the facility, either the arrow fell out or it collapsed sir,".

Wanda spoke up, "I think that Pietro should go after it, he was always good with dogs,".

Fury looked at Pietro, who shrugged, "I'll do it,".
