INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!!!!

Today we celebrate the amazing achievements of women all across the world and make a stand to end inequalities made my society against women.

At school today, we made origami stars as part fo the 1 Million Stars to End Violence campaign! You'll see mine as part of the Arts Show at the Commonwealth Games next year!!

These stars will help raise awareness for Violence against Women. As you know, I am a big believer in peaceful families so I was very happy with this event!

I would like to take a moment to thank all the women who have helped make me the person I am today. My mum, my sister, all my cousins and teachers. You're all such greta role models and have taught me so much! And to even the men who have taught me to be who I am now. My dad, my uncles, my brother! Every one of them have taught me the value of hard work and reaching my goals.

As one of the aspects of today, I was also asked to think of an expectation by society I strongly challenged. Mine was that all girls had to have a certain body shape (skinny) and look a certain way. For me, I deeply hate that expectation. I mean, I have belly rolls. I have large thighs. I have pimples. I have every imperfection a human has! And to all the people who think I need to look a certain way, go get a life! I'm done trying to replicate a super model.

What about you guys? What is the social expectation you strongly disagree with??

So what we all need to pick up from this, boy or girl, is that we need to stand up against any inequalities we see in the world and if there is something you believe in, don't let anything stop you!

And don't worry guys! There's one more men too! November 19.

Thanks!

Lotsa love,

Chrissie!

xoxo

P.S I also wanted to let you know I'm making more time for TACTS as TWS has been out on hold. Expect this to finsih ovet the next month or so. Update days are now Saturday.
