Bard And Lake Town *Edited*

Alright, here is the next chapter. I hope you all enjoy it for I have had joy writing it.

Feya awoke the next morning bright and early and began packing, it wasn't shortly after her rousing did Kili awake from his slumber. Once the pair had gathered their things they all headed down to the cellar to wait for the others, as luck would have it they didn't have to wait long. Bilbo had come out of hiding sometime during the night and was not a very happy hobbit to be put into one of the barrels as the others climbed in. She sent word to the Ironhounds that they were ready to leave as one of the guards pulled the lever to let the barrels with them inside roll down and into the cold water below. Lucky for them the barrels were all well made and kept them dry for the most part. Four suits of armor took off into the air and activated their cammo as they bobbed downriver through its fast current.

The gate was closed and upon their approach, Brandy's voice crackled over her earpiece "Feya, you have incoming. A whole shit load of Orcs heading right for you." Brandy said

"ORCS!" she yelled over the roar of the water as they bottlenecked at the gate, "Legolas, we need your bow!"

The two elves who moved to open the gates were cut down as the other elves arrived to take care of the issue. Unknown to Feya, Kili had gotten out of his barrel and was fighting his way to the lever. It was only when she heard his cry of pain did she know he was hurt "KILI!" she cried out getting out of her barrel as her wolves tackled the Orc who had shot Kili and tore him to shreds.

Feya let loose a roar of rage that had every elf, orc, dwarf, and one hobbit jumping. She had her short swords out cutting a black bloody trail to her fallen love. Kili looked happy to see her as did the others "Fili, Kili into the water." she said.

Her wolves jumped in making a splash as Kili got into Ori's barrel
and Fili got in with Fili. She helped Kili back into his barrel as the arrow shaft broke. Kili cried out in pain. Seth came flying in and grabbed the lever to the gate opening it as she got into her own barrel. She gave Seth a nod who nodded in turn before shooting off into the sky again.

Now all they had to do was not get killed by the time they reached the waterfall which was easier said than done considering the large number of Orcs on their asses. Everyone was fighting and Legolas was using Dwarf heads as stepping stones as he shot Orc after Orc before jumping up onto the bank and began fighting more Orcs. The son of Azog was nowhere to be seen or heard of at that time, which told her, like the coward he was slunk back into the treeline to track them as they went over the waterfall.

Wet they trudged along to the river bank all soaked to the bone, even poor Bilbo didn't make it out unwet. As for the wolves they seemed to be enjoying themselves as they played in the water. Feya had a look of concern on her beautiful face as Kili looked up at her "Are you alright?" he asked

"Nothing I can't manage, I am more worried about you," she said

"I will be alright," he lied.

Feya sighed and shook her head "No, you aren't. That arrowhead was dipped in poison and it is draining you." she said.

Fili and Oin were looking at her in shock as she moved to get the kit from her pack "We're moving." Thorin said

"No, we are not." Feya said grabbing her medical kit and walking back over to him, "Kili is hurt, that arrow he was shot with was dipped in Morgul poison."

Morgul poison?! Was he going to... no, he couldn't! He needed to live for her... to keep her safe and keep Loki the hell away from her. Kili looked at his uncle who had gone pale white at receiving such news. Feya looked up at him "The only way to slow the poison is Atherlas more commonly known as Kingsfoil." she said her voice calm even though he could hear the pain in her voice, "But to remove the poison completely you need and elvish spell one I sadly do not know."

Fi and Ki began to growl as an arrow whizzed by his ear, Feya looked over at who fired the arrow as four familiar suits of armor came flying in and surrounded their attacker "I wouldn't do that again if I were you." Feya said with a smirk, "Because if my wolves don't get ya, my hounds will."

The bowmen lowered his bow slowly looking at the four sets of armor "Cutting it a little bit close there?" asked Dwalin

"We were looking for Orcs and lost sight of them due to all of the spider gunk." Brandy said

"Well your here now so that is good," said Bilbo

Feya nodded to her cousin "Sir, we require your assistance I can offer aid in overthrowing the Master of Laketown in exchange." Feya said

"How so?" the man asked

"You see those suits of armor surrounding you?" she asked

"I do," he said

"That is how to overthrow him, that and I am not the woman he wants to anger," she added.

The bowman considered her words for a moment before nodding "Very well, I hope you can hide those suits."

"Of course we can." Brandy said as the back opened and she stepped out, "Jarvis, travel mode."

The armor shrank down to a metal case that Brandy and the others strapped to their backs "Shall we?" Brandy said.

Feya looked at Brandy "Let me finish bandaging his leg first." she said as she finished.

Now to cross the lake.

Laketown was once the center of trade in the north, now it was nothing more than a ran down water colony whos people were struggling to survive with a man such as the Master to lead them into starvation as he lined his own pockets with greed. It made Feya's blood boil to no end. The dwarves and Bilbo were stuffed in the barrels while, Feya, Brandy, Dean, Roman, and Seth stayed on deck with Bard. Feya's eyes spotted the little prick who was the Master's lapdog. Santino's unibrow was kept in better care than this guys! Being an Agent of SHIELD and an Avenger had its perks though Feya rarely used her ability to learn and speak any language that she had encountered until now she easily slipped into Samoan "Roma, Brandy, Setu, ma Dean, ia e sauni mo lenei vale o le a foliga foliga mai o le aulelei a Santino." she said.
(Roman, Brandy, Seth, and Dean, be ready for this fool who makes Santino's unibrow look tame.)

The four chuckled at that as the unibrow tode stepped onto the deck of the ship "And what do we have here?" Lickspittle asked

"Your worst nightmare if you go after the barrels," she warned.

Lickspittle looked upon her in lust "You should learn your place woman," he said as the guards came onto the deck.

Feya whistled as Fi and Ki came over the barrels teeth bared snapping at the guards as they stood on either side of her "Good boys," she said, "I come from Asgard to bring the people here much-needed food, you dare interrupt my mission?"

Lickspittle looked at her in shock as she revealed her short sword by pointing it at the little worm "No, let us pass or we will inform Lord Odin and you may deal with his wrath." she said.

Lickspittle backed off the ship and signaled to the gate operator "Open the gates."

It wasn't long before they were at Bard's house his children happy with the food that was brought to the town as Feya set to cooking for everyone "Uh-oh, Feya's cooking." Dean teased, "Hide the pots and pans."

Feya turned to Dean and pointed her knife at him "Keep it up and you can find your own food, Ambrose," she warned.

Kili was sitting in between her wolves scratching them behind the ears both of them with constant looks on their faces as she set to cutting up vegetables to be steamed beside the fish.

------------

Brandy hadn't seen Feya this at ease since before Loki. Feya moved about the kitchen with ease Bard's oldest daughter helping her as she used fresh herbs and spices on the fish. It wasn't long before they were all eating. Bard himself was in awe at how the fish was cooked "Feya, you spoil us." Roman said

"Figured I would go with something from your father's homeland Roman," Feya said.

Roman smiled "And my father would be upset you didn't make him any," Roman teased.

Feya laughed at that as Bard's youngest helped her older sister clean the dishes "Where did you learn to cook like that?" Bard asked

"My mother before she passed away, she had a book full of family recipes that were passed down to the women of the family," Feya said

"I'm sorry for your loss," Bard said

"She passed when I was 17, she lived life on the edge though," Feya replied.

Brandy nodded in agreement "Our mother's were sisters. I have the same recipes, though I burn food." she said with a chuckle

"You nearly burned your damn house down once," Feya teased.

Everyone laughed at that when night fell Feya tucked little Talia into bed "Sleep well little one," her cousin said.

Feya had a softer side that most rarely got to see, one that Brandy got to witness a few times. When the time came Brandy knew in her heart that Feya would make a wonderful mother. Talia closed her eyes as Feya hummed a soft melody easing the girl to sleep which Fi joined the young girl by sleeping at her feet on the worn bed. When Feya was sure Talia was asleep she left the girl and Fi and rejoined them pausing by Kili whose health was fading by the second. Sigrid and Bain both headed to bed also while Feya looked out the window as if seen some unforeseen danger lurking in the shadows. Which was sadly the case when it came to Loki and his new allies.

Kili rested comfortably or as comfortable as he could be anyway, his leg was bothering him as Feya returned from heading out shortly after putting Talia to bed. Feya walked into the room and walked over to him causing him to look up at her "I found some Kingsfoil." she said holding the weed in her hand.

Kili nodded as the wolf who bore his name moved to allow Feya access to his wound, she gently cleaned around the wound before placing the soaked herb onto the wound causing him to wince. Feya looked up at him, her eyes filled with sadness. Reaching out he touched her cheek, her eyes closing upon the contact as a tear rolled down her cheek "Don't cry my beloved, I will be fine." he said knowing it was a lie.

If anything he was not fine "I hate seeing those I love in pain," she whispered softly.

Kili sighed and leaned forward kissing the crown of her head "I will be alright," he promised

"I hope so my love," she said with a sad smile as she moved to lay beside him, opposite his injured leg.

She rested her head upon his shoulder and fell asleep as he held her. He loved her, and he would live for her...
