The Ember Island Players

Aya's POV

The gang and I were at Firelord Ozai's house on Ember Island. Zuko assured us this place was safe from anyone in the Fire Nation, so it was a perfect place to hide from everyone and for Aang to finish his firebending training. Zuko is Aang's teacher, but I help Zuko out when Aang gets frustrated and I need to step in and take it step by step with Aang.

The Fire Angel was never destined to teach the Avatar to firebend. Sapphire told me that my job is too keep Aang calm within his training and to help connect him with firebending. It's important for the Avatar to spiritual connect with passed Fire Angels, so he can master the element of Fire.

"Doesn't it seem kind of weird that we're hiding from the Fire Lord in his own house?" I heard Katara ask as Zuko, Aang, and I finish our firebending training for the day.

I stretched my arms up and yawned a little as Aang hugged me from behind me.

"I told you, Zuko began as he sat on a dry fountain and wiped his head with a cloth. "My father hasn't come here since our family was actually happy. And that was a long time ago. It's the last place anyone would think to look for us."

Aang rests his head on my shoulder and I blush, touching his hands that rested on my stomach. My stomach was showing now because we were back in our Fire Nation attire and I could feel Aang's fingers trail across my abs.

Sokka and Suki returned and Sokka was holding a rolled-up piece of paper.

"You guys are not gonna believe this! There's a play about us." Sokka told us and this shocked me.

A play?

"We were just in town and we found this poster!" Suki added and Sokka shows the poster for the play to us. It depicts Katara, Aang, Sokka, and I with Zuko's face in the background.

"What? How is that possible?" Katara asked.

"Listen to this ..." Sokka said and turned the poster toward him. "The Boy in the Iceberg is a new production from acclaimed playwright Pu-on Tim, who scoured the globe gathering information on the Avatar, from the icy South Pole to the heart of Ba Sing Se. His sources include singing nomads, pirates, prisoners of war, and a surprisingly knowledgeable merchant of cabbage."

"Brought to you by the critically acclaimed Ember Island Players." Suki finished and Aang and I shared a look of shock.

This seems very strange. A play about our lives, it almost seems like people are watching us, but that would be very creepy.

Zuko groans, "ugh! My mother used to take us to see them. They butchered Love Amongst the Dragons every year!"

"Sokka, do you really think it's a good idea to attend a play about ourselves?" I asked my brother.

"Come on, a day at the theater? This is the kind of wacky time-wasting nonsense I've been missing!" Sokka exclaimed, persuasively. He holds up the poster anxiously and smiles sheepishly, while I looked away from him.

I hope this is worth it.

——

That Night

We arrived at the Ember Island Theater and we were sitting in the nosebleed section, much to Toph's dismay. Toph, Katara, and Zuko sit in the front row, while Suki, Sokka, Aang, and I sit in the back together. Zuko and Katara sat very close to each other and it made me suspicious.

Doesn't Zuko have a girlfriend or did they break up? I bet he likes Katara and she might like him.

"Why are we sitting in the nosebleed section?" Toph asked. "My feet can't see a thing from up here!"

"Don't worry, I'll tell your feet what's happening." Katara assures her before the show started.

The curtain rises to reveal a set representative of the South Pole. Three actors were rowing their boat across the fake water and they resembled Katara, Sokka, and I. I smiled as I saw myself onstage, and Sokka grabs my shoulder and Katara's pointing at her, himself, me, and the stage excitedly.

I took in my actresses appearance and wasn't exactly happy with it. She seemed much older, taller, had a very curvy body, with large breasts, and her makeup was very heavy. Her water tribe dress had a slit down the side and you could see her legs which I hated. I was revolted by the actress that played me and Katara's wasn't too great either.

Actress Katara sighed, "Sokka, my only brother! Aya, my only sister! We constantly roam these icy South Pole seas, and yet never do we find anything fulfilling!"

Not even ten seconds in and I'm already hating it.

"All I want is a full feeling in my stomach!" Actor Sokka, who is a thin and lank man exclaimed. "I'm starving!"

The audience laughed and Actress Aya, sighed at her brother.

"You're always starving." She remarked in a snotty voice. "Why don't you eat my ears, so I don't have to listen to your annoying voice?!"

Sokka, Katara, and I share a look as our faces fall and we were confused. I'm not like that, I'm not snotty and rude, I would never say that to Sokka. He may make a bunch of unnecessary remarks, but his voice isn't annoying.

"Is food the only thing on your mind?" Acted Katara asked Actor Sokka.

"Well, I'm trying to it get it out of my mind and into my mouth! I'm starving!" Sokka exclaimed and the audience laughed at the horrible joke.

Sokka leaned forward in his seat; clearly annoyed. "This is pathetic! My jokes are way funnier than this!" He extends his arm in a dramatic gesture.

Tophs laughs, "I think he's got you pegged!"

Back on the stage, Actress Katara now stands in the canoe, while Actress Aya leans her head on the canoe out of boredom. "Every day, the world awaits a beacon to guide us, yet none appears!" Actress Katara holds her hand out and clasps her hands together dramatically. "Still, we cannot give up hope! For hope, is all we have! And we must never relinquish it, even ... even to our dying breath!" She was crying and leans over the side of the canoe and buries her face in her hands, crying.

Suki suppresses her laugh through her hand, while Sokka grins at his sister with amusement.

Actress Aya gives her a look and rolls her eyes, "such a hope-filled baby. Stop crying."

I shook my head and folded my arms with annoyance.

"Well, that's just silly." Katara said with displeasure. "I don't sound like that."

"I don't either." I add and Aang grabs my hand. "I'm not a snotty and rude person."

Toph, however, was elated. "Oh man! This writer's a genius!"

On the stage, an iridescent light suddenly appears from above and the three of them turn their heads upward. A model of an iceberg can be seen and the vague shadow of a figure is visible from behind.

"If appears to be someone frozen in ice, perhaps for a hundred years." Actress Katara remarked.

"But who? Who is the boy in the iceberg?" Actor Sokka asked with curiosity as the figure moves from side to side.

"I don't care." Actress Aya sighed, looking at her nails. "Can we go home?"

Aang smiles and leans forward in his seat and Actress Katara steps forward.

"Waterbend! Hi-yah!" She exclaimed, performing a karate chop, mimicking waterbending.

The silhouette disappears from view and the prop splits in half, sending forth a jet of steam. An actress, meant to portray Aang, leaps up and poses, winking with one hand on her hip. The actress is wearing a flesh-colored cap over her hair to portray herself as bald, not to mention the cap also has the airbending tattoo. She wears an excessive amount of blush on her cheeks and her overall demeanor clearly displays her femininity.

I was in disbelief at the sight of Aang's actor or actress and looked to see Aang, who momentarily closes his eyes and cringes in disbelief before leaning forward.

"Who are you, Frozen Boy?" Actress Katara asked Actress Aang.

Actress Aang laughs in a high-pitched voice. "I'm the Avatar, silly, here to spread joy and fun!" She leans toward Actress Katara, laying a finger on her lips, and also motions toward Actor Sokka and Actress Aya, before standing upright and spreading her arms out in a cheery gesture. Actress Aya rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"Oh, boy..."

"Wait, is that a woman playing me?" Aang asked with disbelief.

A horrible version of Appa suddenly bursts up from behind the group of actors with loud festival music playing The replica of Appa sways from side to side before leaping off the iceberg prop. You could visibly see actors wearing the bison costume when they jump and land on the stage, before running across to the left side, and finally behind the iceberg prop.

Wow. Just wow

Actress Katara gasps. "An airbender!" She clasps her hands to her chest. "My heart is so full of hope, that it's making me tearbend!" She begins to cry and grabs on to Actress Aang's leg and Actress Aya sighed, rolling her eyes.

"My stomach is so empty, that it's making me tearbend!" Actor Sokka gasped and throws his arms up hopelessly before dropping to his knees, clutching on to Actress Aang's other leg, crying. "I need meat!"

Actress Aya just stared at them out of boredom, before Actress Katara pulled her down and she joined the trio on the floor.

Actress Aang bends down, puts her arm around Actor Sokka's shoulders, and points upward. "But wait! Is that a platter of meaty dumplings?" I looked at Aang whose head and arm rest lazily on the arm rest, unimpressed.

Kill me. Like, this is actual torture.

Back on stage, Actress Aang was now sitting down, her legs dangling over the edge of the iceberg prop. The siblings trio were kneeling down next to him, and actor Sokka excitedly shields his eyes with his hand and turned his head, searching for the dumplings.

"Ooh, where, where?"

Actress Aang laughs and swings arm jovially. "Did I mention that I'm an incurable prankster?" She crosses her legs as the audience laughs and actress Aya laughs along with her.

"Haha! That was a good one!" She laughs and the two hi-five. "I love pranking my brother like that!"

I groaned and rolled my eyes at that.

Aang extends his arm toward the stage, angry with the actress of himself. "I don't do that! That's not what I'm like! And I'm not a woman!" He throws his hands up in frustration and I grab his arms, pulling them down.

"You think I'm happy about my actress?" I asked him as Toph laughs at us. "She's a complete snob."

"Oh, they nailed you, Twinkle Toes and Fire Feet."

Back on stage, the scene had change and a model Fire Nation ship prop glides onto stage from the left. A man portraying Zuko stands at the bow of the ship, with him wearing his old Fire Nation uniform and was peering through a telescope, and standing at the helm was a man playing my birth father, Iroh.

Actor Iroh was a very rotund, round-faced man sporting a slightly exaggerated imitation of my father's actual hairstyle, complete with a top-knot, beard, and sideburns.

"Prince Zuko, you must try this cake!" Actor Iroh beams as he holds up a platter of cake with one slice missing.

Actor Zuko was looking through the telescope and he was wearking a headpiece that sports the ponytail Zuko used to have, but it was slightly exaggerated. Not to mention actor Zuko's scar, it was realistic, but was worn over the wrong eye.

"I don't have time to stuff my face!" Actor Zuko exclaimed, lowering his telescope and turns to Actor Iroh. "I must capture the Avatar to regain my honor!" He faces out into the audience, clutching his hand in a fist assertively.

This character is pretty accurate not gonna lie.

"Well, while you do that, maybe I'll capture another slice!" Actor Iroh beams and he holds the cake up higher before bringing it toward his face and proceeded to gobble it down with exaggeration.

"You sicken me!" Actor Zuko snarled.

"They make me look totally stiff and humorless." Real Zuko remarked with displeasure and I grinned, shrugging.

"Actually, I think that character's pretty spot on." Katara retorted and Aang and I chuckled together.

"How could you say that?" Zuko protested.

"Let's forget about the Avatar and get massages!" Actor Iroh suggested to Actor Zuko.

Actor Zuko leans toward him, menacingly and shouts. "How could you say that?!"

Katara and I gave my cousin a smug smile, while he slumps in his seat.

——

The Southern Air Temple

Actress Aang was searching, and finds a tail behind a bush prop.

"Hey look, I think I found something!" She tip toes over to the bush and Actor Sokka scratches his head while Actress Katara shrugs and Actress Aya just looks at her nails, bored. Actress Aang picks up the object and it was a rabbit-monkey puppet: Momo. "It's a flying rabbit-monkey! I think I'll name him, Momo!" Actress Aang laughs using a puppet voice. "Hi everybody, I love you!"

The audience laughs, while Aang groans, rubbing his forehead and I sighed with annoyance.

"Ugh."

——

The Warriors of Kyoshi

Actress Suki lifts up two fans and Actor Sokka enters the scene, wearing a Kyoshi Warrior outfit.

He points to his butt, "does this dress make my butt look fat?"

I giggle at this and so does Suki, but Sokka gives her an embarrassed look.

Best joke so far.

——

King of Omashu

"Riddles and challenges you must face," Actor King Bumi exclaims. "If you are ever to leave this place!"

Actress Aang dodges a swaying rock while a goat gorilla chases Actor Sokka and Actress Katara across stage. Actress Aya stands amidst a jennamite prop and lifts up a piece of the jennamite prop.

"Ugh. Oh!"

She seemed bored out of her mind, and was pretending to be scared.

I groaned and rolled my eyes at her.

——

The Waterbending Scroll

On stage there was a pirate ship background with the Actor Sokka, and Actresses Aang, Aya, and Katara. Pirates enter the stage from both sides, holding weapons in the air and attack them. The team slips away, with Actress Katara holds a large scroll as they sneak away.

"Why did you have to steal that waterbending scroll?" Actor Sokka asked Actress Katara.

Crying, she replies. "It just gave me so much hope!"

——

The Blue Spirit

Actress Aang was tied to a platform guarded by six Fire Nation soldiers and Actor Zuko stands in front of the platform.

"The Avatar is mine!" Actor Zuko cheers before, looking off stage. "Wait, who's coming?"

A large blue mask, resembling the Blue Spirit jumps on stage holding two swords and has a large mask. "I'm the Blue Spirit, the scourge of the Fire Nation, here to save the Avatar!"

The Blue Spirit walks across the stage waving his swords. The guards fall down and Actor Zuko runs around the platform and throws a blue strip of paper to symbolize firebending. The Blue Spirit points a sword at Actor Zuko, who runs away and I just gave it a weird look.

Well...okay then.

"My hero!" Actress Aang beams, before jumping on top of the Blue Spirit's large mask and it walks off stage.

I gave Aang a look and he looks away with a frown full of embarrassment.

——

Jet

Actress Katara and Actor Jet appear on a small rope platform and are being lowered together with a beautiful background and petals falling down. Actress Katara cries.

"Don't cry, baby!" Actor Jet declared, "Jet will wipe out that nasty town for you!"

A large blue banner got pulled across in the background and actress Katara and actor Jet ascend on their platform.

"Oh, Jet, you're so bad." Actress Katara smirks and I giggle at my sister, who was highly embarrassed and Toph laughs.

—-

The Great Divide.

The team was traveling on a large Appa prop with mountains painted in the background and Actress Aya was basically sleeping in the saddle.

"Look! It's the Great Divide! The biggest canyon in the Earth Kingdom!" Actress Aang beamed at the wide canyon in the background.

"Eh, let's keep flying." Actor Sokka suggested and Actress Aya lets out a loud snore.

——

The Siege of the North

Actor Sokka and Actress Yue were standing in front of a Northern Water Tribe background.

"Don't go, Yue! You're the only woman who has taken my mind off of food!" Actor Sokka pleaded before he kisses actress Yue and gags. "Wait, did you have pickled fish for dinner?"

"Goodbye, Sokka! I have important moon duties to take care of!" She softly says as she exits on the moon prop. "And yes, I did have pickled fish!"

Suki laughs, "you never told me you made out with a Moon Spirit."

"Shhh!" Sokka shushed her, tearing up. "I'm trying to watch!" Suki looks away, and folds her arms.

——

Actress Aang was on stage wearing a Koizilla costume and stomps on a bunch of miniature Fire Nation ships, waving a doll of Admiral Zhao.

She laughs, "the Avatar is back to save the day! Yay!" She stomps on three more miniature ships before tripping over her Koizilla costume and falling.

The curtain drops and the audience cheers while Toph laughs. The rest of us groan with disgust and complain about the awful first part of the play.

"Ugh!"

——

We were outside the theatre, during the intermission and known of us liked the play, besides Toph.

"So far, this intermission is the best part of the play." Zuko mentioned and I sighed, leaning on the railing of the stairs.

"Apparently, the playwright believes I'm some snobby and rude girl who doesn't have a care in the world. That's ridiculous." I complain and sit down next to Aang. "That's not true, right?"

"No, Aya, you're a sweet and lovable angel." Katara remarks and I throw my arms out.

"Thank you!" I huff and sigh.

Sokka walks down the stairs, holding a bag of flaming fire flakes and sits next to Suki. "Apparently, the playwright thinks I'm an idiot who tells bad jokes about meat all the time!"

"Yeah, you tell bad jokes about plenty of other topics." Suki responded without some sarcasm.

Sokka eats a fire flake. "I know!"

"At least the Sokka actor and Aya actress kind of look like you two. That woman playing the Avatar doesn't resemble me at all!" Aang exclaims and I rub his back, sensing his anger.

If Aang's Chakra wasn't blocked, he'd probably be in the Avatar State right now.

"I don't know, you are more in touch with your feminine side than most guys." Toph mentioned and Aang shot up, growling at her.

"Argh!"

"Toph!" I snapped at her and she leaned back with a shrug.

"Relax, Aang. They're not accurate portrayals." Katara assured Aang. "It's not like I'm a preachy crybaby who can't resist giving overemotional speeches about hope all the time." We just stared at my sister, "what?"

Aang turns around and sits down, "yeah, that's not you at all."

"Listen friends, it's obvious that the playwright did his research. I know it must hurt, but what you're seeing up there on that stage is the truth." Toph explained and Aang rests his head on my shoulder.

—-

We returned inside and the play continued. The team was standing in front of an Earth Kingdom background and buildings.

"Well, here we are in the Earth Kingdom!" Actress Katara announced.

Actress Aang opens up her miniature air glider prop. "I'd better have a look around to see if I can find an earthbending teacher!" She jump up into the air with a cable lifting her up.

"This is it, this must be where I come in!" Toph beams with eagerness.

Actress Aang flies around the theater, before returning to the stage.

"I flew all over town, but I couldn't find a single earthbending master!" Actress Aang shrugged.

"Here it comes..." Toph smiled.

From beneath the rock prop on the side, a large and strong man wearing Toph's earthbending attire appears and holds the prop above his head. "You can't find an earthbending master in the sky, you have to look underground!" The man throws the prop to the side and I smile at this.

Aang, Sokka, Suki, Katara, and I all laugh at Toph's portrayal, while Zuko looks up from a piece of paper, stunned.

Actress Aya looks up at the man, "who are you?"

Actor Toph spits and flexes his muscles. "My name's Toph, because it sounds like tough, and that's just what I am!"

The audience laughs and Toph was confused. "Wait a minute." She picks at her ear with her pinky. "I sound like a guy. A really buff guy."

"Well Toph, what you hear up there is the truth." Katara remarked, "it hurts, doesn't it?"

"Are you kidding me? I wouldn't have cast it any other way!" Toph laughs as Katara looks away in dismay and I sigh. "At least it's not a flying bald lady." Aang folds his arms and turns toward the stage in annoyance.

"So, you're blind?" Actress Aang asks and waves her hand in front of Actor Toph's eyes.

"I can see you doing that. I see everything that you see, except I don't "see" like you do. I release a sonic wave from my mouth." Actor Told told her, before he screams very loudly at the players. The audience and all of us grimace at the scream; Aang and I hold each other close with my head buried in his chest and his arms wrapped around me. Soon, the screaming stopped and we all recovered from the scream and I exhaled. "There. I got a pretty good look at you."

Actress Aang and the audience clap at the loud scream Actor Toph made.

My poor ears.

——

Actor Zuko and Actor Iroh were now on stage together.

"Zuko, it's time we had a talk..." Actor Iroh vegans and points to actor Zuko, who now wears a large wig."About your hair, it's gone too far!"

"Maybe it's best if we ... split ... up!" Actor Zuko suggested, before both actors walk away from each other.

——

The Chase

The team and actors Zuko and Iroh were cornering Actress Azula.

"Azula, my sister, what are you doing here?" Actor Zuko asked her.

"You caught me. Wait, what's that?" Actress Azula points in the distance. "I think it's your honor!"

"Where?" Actor Zuko asked and everybody looks while Actress Azula escapes through a door.

They see that Azula had escaped and Actress Katara looks at the audience.

"She escaped! But how?"

Actress Aya drops her weapons and rolled her eyes. "Oh no, she got away."

She walks off stage after that and I shake my head at her.

——

The Drill

A large drill prop was on stage which Actress Azula stands on while it drills through a wall that Actress Aang attempts to stop. Some stagehands behind the scenes, cause the wall to shake and smoke to appear.

"If she continues drilling, this wall will come down for sure!" Actress Aang exclaimed with worry and she was offered a rock prop, which she throws at actress Azula.

"Haha, yes! Continue drilling! The city of Ba Sing Se can hide no longer!" Actress Azula cheered and Actress Aang throws two more rock props at her.

——

Lake Laogai

Actor Jet jumps up and was wearing googly eyes and waves his hook hands around. The team was surrounding Actor Jet, who was obviously under the mind control of Long Feng and Hung.

"No, Jet! What did they do to you?!" Actress Aang gasped.

"Who cares?!" Actress Aya groaned.

"Must ... serve ... Earth King!" Actor Jet croaked out and begins swinging his hook hand wildly at Actress Aang and Actor Sokka. "Must ... destroy!"

A hollow rock prop floats down and Actor Jet falls down so that he lands underneath the prop. His feet were showing, so he crawls all the way under and I raised an eyebrow at this.

I'm confused. Very confused.

"Did Jet just...die?" Zuko asked.

"You know, it was really unclear." Sokka remarked and I nodded.

——

Crossroads of Destiny.

Actress Aya and Actor Zuko were trapped inside the Crystal Catacombs together and my character approached Zuko's.

"Ya know, Zuko, Katara finds you really attractive." She tells him and actor Zuko looks away.

"You don't have to make fun of me!"

"But I mean it!" She protested and sits down with Actor Zuko. "She's had eyes for you since the day you first captured us." I see Zuko and Katara inch away from each other, slightly uncomfortable and I grin. "But, if you and I weren't related, I would have fallen for you in an instant."

My eyes grew at this and Zuko and I shared a look of uncomfortableness.

Uh....ew.

Actor Zuko shot up. "But, I thought you were the Avatar's girl?"

I am.

Actress Aya laughs. "The Avatar?" She stands up and touches Actor Zuko's arm. "Why, he's like a little brother to me, which I find very annoying. I certainly don't think of him in a romantic way." She giggled with disbelief at the thought of dating Aang. "Anyway, Katara, definitely has eyes for you."

I was so engrossed in the scene that I didn't even notice that Aang had left and I became very worried about him.

——

The play continued, but I didn't watch it to much. I was too worried about Aang and waited until the next intermission so I can talk to him. I know what happens in the play, because it's my life and I've lived all of this.

The intermission came and we all left the theater.

"It seems like every time there's a big battle, you guys barely make it out alive. I mean, you guys lose a lot!" Suki mentioned and my eyes wandered outside, worried about Aang.

"You're one to talk, Suki." Sokka retorted. "Didn't Azula take you captive? That's right, she did!"

"Are you trying to get on my bad side?" She asked him with seriousness.

"I'm just saying..."

"Does anyone know where Aang is?" I asked everyone.

"He left to get me fire gummies, like, ten minutes ago. And I'm still waiting!" Sokka complained and my sister gestured outside.

"I think he's outside." She told me and I stood up, making my way outside.

"Thanks..."

I walk outside and see Aang standing alone on the balcony.

"Are you all right?" I asked him.

"No, I'm not! I hate this play!" He snaps with anger and throws his hat down.

"I know it's upsetting, but it sounds like you're overreacting." I mentioned to him.

"Overreacting? If I hadn't blocked my chakra, I'd probably be in the Avatar State right now!" He exclaimed to me and I looked away for a moment.

I knew it.

——

"Aya..."

"Mmm?" I said and approached him, gently.

"Did you really mean what you said in there?" He asked me

"In where. What are you talking about?" I asked him.

"On stage, when you said I was just like a... brother to you, and you didn't have feelings for me." He told me with hurt in his voice and I saw a tear form on his face.

"I didn't say that. An actor did." I remarked to him.

"But it's true, isn't it?" He asked, facing me. "We've been together for a while now and it's been great, but I don't really know what you feel for me. It could all be a lie."

I could feel my heart break at his words and it was so sad to hear him say that. It killed me to see him like this.

"Aang, I wouldn't lie to you." I tell him and he looked away from me with closed eyes. "You know I love you. I always have."

"Words can only take you so far, though." Aang told me and I gave him a sad look.

"I know that, but I'm tell the truth." I object, "This play means nothing and nothing about it is accurate, really."

He still seemed unconvinced and I sighed, pushing a piece of my hair behind my ear.

I grabbed his shoulder and turned him toward me. I looked up at him and kissed him, wrapping my arms around his neck. He didn't react for a second, before he placed his hands on my waist, kissing back.

We stayed there for a few moments before I pulled away with a smile and his face was red.

"I love you, Aang." I tell him and he smiled at me.

"I love you too, Aya." He tells me before kissing me again and I smiled into the kiss.

Nothing can break us apart. Nothing.

——

Aang and I returned to the theatre and sat down together in the back. Aang wrapped his arm around me and I leaned into his side with a soft smile.

Sokk leaned toward us. "Here's what you missed ... we went to the Fire Nation, and you got better, and Katara and Aya were the Painted Lady, and I got a sword, and I think Combustion Man died. Oh, look, the Invasion's about to start! Shhh!"

I giggled at him before watching the scene.

Actress Aya and Actress Aang were standing on top of the submarine together.

"I just wanted to let you know, Aang, that I will always find you annoying and weird." My character told him, while looking at her nails.

"I wouldn't want it any other way!" Actress Aang smiles and they shake hands, but Actress Aya removes his hand and walks away from him. Actress Aang opens his glider and flies away from the scene.

I looked at Aang and smiled. "We showed them, huh?"

"Sure did." He commented and my head fell onto his chest, while his arms tightened around my body.

Actress Katara and actors Toph and Sokka appear on the submarine with Actress Aya.

"Hey Toph, would you say you and Aang have a "rocky relationship"? He asked and the audience laughs at that.

Sokka laughs hysterically at Suki, Aang, and I. He lifts up Aang's hat and tapped my head. "I told him to say that!"

I giggled at him and Aang kissed my head.

"I hope everyone's ready for the Invasion!" Actor Sokka announced. "Slap-a-pow!" The audience and Sokka laugh at that.

——

At the Royal Palace

Actresses Katara and Aya and Actors Toph and Sokka enter from the sides of the stage, while Actress Aang is dropped in from above the stage.

"We finally made it to the Royal Palace, but no one's home!" Actress Aang says and Actress Aya sighs with fake defeat.

"Too bad, let's leave." She tried to leave, but Actor Toph picks her up and places her back in her spot.

She huffs and folds her arms with annoyance.

Actor Azula enters stage right and Actor Sokka raises his boomerang. She uses the pretend firebending and attacks Actress Aya, causing her to disappear beneath the stage and the team gasps.

"Aya!"

"Haha! I've captured the Fire Angel!" She laughs before rushing off stage and I roll my eyes.

Oi vey

Actor Zuko enters from the same side and Actor Sokka raises his boomerang again.

"I'm here and I want to join you." Actor Zuko declared.

Actor Sokka lowers his boomerang. "I guess we have no choice. Come on!" They all exit stage left, except for Actress Aang, who is lifted off stage.

Real Sokka stands up and stretches. "I guess that's it. The play's caught up to the present now."

"Wait, the play's not over!" Suit protested and I raised an eyebrow.

"But it is over, unless..." Sokka paused and did a dramatic face. "The is the future!"

Back on stage, their stood Actor Ozai and he was on the Royal Palace prop. An orange lantern held by a small cable with paper flames slowly moves across the stage.

"With the energy harnessed from that comet, no one will be able to stop..." He lifts his hand in the air. "The Fire Nation!"

Actress Azula runs back on stage. "Father, Zuko and the Avatar are at the Palace. They're trying to stop you and save the Fire Angel!"

"You take care of Zuko. I shall face the Avatar myself!" Actor Ozai declared and disappeared behind a smokescreen.

Actor Zuko jumps on stage and a rope lowers Actress Aang on stage as she holds her miniature glider prop.

"Aang! You find the Fire Lord and save Aya! I'll hold her off!" Zuko exclaims to Actress Aang, who gets lifted off the stage.

"You are no longer my brother. You are an enemy!" Actress Azula snarled at her brother.

"No! I am the rightful heir to the throne!" Actor Zuko protested.

"We'll see!"

Actress Azula pulls out her blue streamer and snaps it at Zuko. who ducks out of the way. Actor Zuko holds two red streamers and jumps to the other side of Actress Azula. He throws his two red streamers at her and Actress Azula jumps over him. Actress Azula raises her hand not holding the blue streamer. Five red paper resembling flames shot from the ground starting at Actress Azula, the last one covering Actor Zuko so that only his silhouette can be seen.

"Honor!" Actor Zuko cries out and his body disappears beneath the stage with the flames.

Actress Azula bows and the audience cheers for her. All six of us stare at Zuko with worry and concern after that scene and I could see his shocked face.

Oh my.

The stage changed and you could see small paper flames fluttering upstage. Actress Aang walks across the stage and looks around while Actor Ozai sits on his throne beneath the Sozin's Comet prop with a chained up Actress Aya next to him, who is passed out.

"So, you have mastered all four elements?" Actor Ozai questioned Actress Aang.

She points her staff at him. "Yeah, and now you're going down and Aya will be saved!"

"No! It is you who are going down!" Actor Ozai protested and stands up. "You see, you are too late! The comet is already here, and I'm unstoppable!" My eyes grew with worry as I saw the real Aang stare at the stage with wide eyes. "The Fire Angel is no more! You're too late to save her!"

Actor Ozai pushes her down and she lands on the stage, lifelessly and my mouth fell open with shock as she landed.

My team looked at me with worry and I exhaled with nervousness. Aang took my hand, squeezing it and we continued to watch the battle.

"No! Aya!" Actress Aang cried in horror and her body disappeared beneath the stage.

Actor Ozai wields two red streamers and attacks Actress Aang, who jumps out of the way. Actress Aang opens her glider, which now has two small blue banners pop out. She twirls the weapon and Actor Ozai circles his streamers while Actress Aang jumps over him with the help of a rope. She tries to get close to Actor Ozai, but he makes her back away using his red streamers. Actress Aang jumps over Actor Ozai, who fires a constant stream of red streamers at her. When Actress Aang lands, Actor Ozai sends a large red sheet painted as fire at her. You could see a stagehand let go of the prop and run away.

Actress Aang becomes wrapped in the fire blanket. "Noooo!" She falls to the stage with her eyes closed.

Actress Azula appeared. "It is over, father. We've done it!"

"Yes! We have done it! The dreams of my father, and my father's father, have now been realized!" A large fire sheet had risen behind him and a platform lifts him up. A Fire Nation flag drops. "The world ... is ... mine!"

The audience, except the seven of us, cheer loudly and give a standing ovation. We were horrified by the conclusion and I felt a lot of worry enter my body and I looked down at my hands.

I hope this doesn't happen. I really hope it doesn't.

We all left the theater together and I held onto Aang as we walked. His arms were wrapped around me and my head was on his shoulder.

That play scared me and I hated it.

"That...wasn't a good play." Zuko began.

"I'll say."

"No kidding."

"Awful."

"Horrible."

"You said it."

"But the effects were decent!"
