Third Person POV

"Zuko!" Aya cries and tries to rush toward her cousin with her hands filled with healing flames, but Azula launches a fire blast in front of her before she could reach him. Aya's eyes find Katara, she knew her sister could recover fine and return to battle soon. Azula laughs manically and shoots lightning which Aya swiftly dodges by flying. Zuko attempts to get back up, but is too weak and can do nothing but watch as Azula shoots another lightning bolt at Aya, which she dodges again.

Katara sits up with a groan and immediately runs to Zuko's side to assist him. Aya turns to watch as Azula lands on a roof nearby and she begins charging another lightning attack.

"I'd really rather our family physician look after Little Zuzu if you don't mind." Azula shoots lightning and fire at Aya from the roof of a building. Aya manages to dodge them all and hides behind a column nearby. Azula speaks to Zuko in a taunting manner. "Zuzu, you don't look so good!"

She shoots at Aya again, but she manages to dodge her and moves behind another column. Aya forms fire in her hands and blasts it at the roof Azula was on, but she had moved. Azula comes from behind her on fire jets and she roughly pushed Aya into a building, causing rumble to fall on Aya's body and her entire body was covered.

Katara gasped. "No! Aya!"

Azula smiles and laughs. "How pathetic! You're weak and worthless."

The rumble vibrates and Azula narrows her eyes at this.

"You can't hide in there forever-"

Aya's body popped out of the rumble and she grabs Azula's uniform with anger. Aya's eyes were glowing yellow and her hair was on a fire with her wings bursting with flames. Azula's eyes filled with fear at Aya's new stance.

Azula attempted to firebend at Aya, but she swiftly knocked her hand out of the way. She sends a powerful fire blast at the princess, sending her into the building behind them and Azula crashed into it. Azula falls down in defeat and up above was Aya with a large dragon made of fire behind her fire filled body. The dragon roared loudly and it echoed through the atmosphere. Azula watched in astonishment and fear, she became frozen and didn't know what to do.

Aya sends a wave of fire toward Azula, who quickly bends the fire wave around her body so she wouldn't get hit and shields her body. Aya zooms back to the ground and as she lands, flames ripple across the ground. The fire dragon flies above Aya's head, glaring at the Fire Nation Princess.

Azula bends a fire blast at Aya, who just absorbs the fire into her body. Azula was shocked to see her absorb the fire and Aya grinned at her, before sending out two fire whips and grabbing her wrists with them. Azula yelled and struggle against the restraints, but she couldn't break fire and Aya zips over to the princess.

"Princess Azula, you have no right of becoming Firelord." The voices of all the Fire Angels spoke and Azula's eyes were filled off fear as she spoke. "And now, you will spend the rest of your life in prison."

Aya quickly puts Azula's hands behind her back and grabbed the nearby chains to trap her. Azula cried out, but Aya ignored her and chained her up to the column and she backed away.

Aya's dragon disappeared and she returned to her normal state. Azula began to cry out and she was sobbing hysterically, but Aya ignored her and ran toward Katara and Zuko.

Aya slid to her knees and checked her cousin to see Katara was healing his wound from the lightning strike and she began to tear up.

"Thank you, Aya..." He croaked out and she chuckled with tears in her eyes.

"I think I should be the one thanking you." Aya smiles, stroking his cheek and she looked up at her sister who was tearing up also.

"You...you were amazing." Katara told her, "you made a dragon appear."

Aya chuckled. "I did not know I could do that."

"That makes two of us." She remarked and they both chuckled, before looking down at Aya's wounded cousin.

Aya add my healing flames to the wound and Zuko let a smile slip on his face.

"Katara.." Zuko chokes out and he sat himself up, so he was on his elbows and Aya leaned back. "I need to tell you something..."

"What is it?" Katara asked, stabling him and he groaned, holding his stomach.

"I love you." He admited, before kissing her. Aya's mouth fell open and Katara kissed him back.

They pulled away and smiled at one another with red cheeks.

"I love you too, Zuko." She admitted and Aya giggled happily.

"Yay."

The girls helped Zuko to his feet and they walked over to a chained up Azula, who panted in anger, screamed in madness, and breathed fire, while in an attempt to break free. Finally she stops and begins to cry uncontrollably and Aya couldn't bare to look at her any longer.

It was truly a devastating sight to see. Aya couldn't imagine all the pain and misery this girl went through in her life to shape her into the monster she is today.

Aya's POV

The war is officially over and the world is at peace. Avatar Aang defeated Ozai by taking away his bending, I took down Azula with the help of Zuko and Katara, my parents have reunited, Zuko is going to be crowned Firelord today, and Katara is most likely gonna become queen. Ozai and Azula were taken to jail for the rest of their lives and won't bother us again.

Honestly, a year ago I couldn't imagine myself in this position, let alone living it. Last year, I was just a simple Southern Water Tribe girl with zero bending abilities and now I'm a girl with firebending and I'm known as the Fire Angel. It's crazy how life works, huh?

Expect the unexpected

I found out what happened when I was battling Azula. I entered the Fire Angel State. It's a state similar to the Avatar's, but when activated I'm able to summon a large fire dragon called the Inferno Dragon and this dragon allows me to absorb any fire and I'm immune to the element. I become invincible to fire and it's pretty amazing.

I was at the Royale Palace for Zuko's coronation and I was wearing a beautiful red and orange dress that had fake flames going passed my shoulders, and I was wearing a small, red tiara on my head. My hair was down and curled all the way to my waist and my wings were out, but not fully and I looked amazing.

"You look beautiful."

I looked in the mirror and saw my mother standing behind me in a beautiful Fire Nation dress and I turned to her with a smile.

"Because of you." I remark to her and we share a hug.

"I'm so proud of you." She tells me, stroking my hair. "My little girl helped save the world."

"Aang saved the world, I just gave it light." I told her, before noticing something. "Where's dad?"

"Outside with everyone else." She told me, "I just had to see my little girl before Zuko gets crowned Firelord. Oh, when you see Zuko, tell him I'm proud of him and everything he's done and been through."

"Got it." I smiled, before she planted a kiss on my head and walked off.

"Don't worry, you're not the only one who's proud of ZuZu." I grin softly at her, before walking down the palace to meet Zuko and Aang.

I spot Aang and Zuko hugging and I smiled at them.

"Aw." I say and they pull away to see me and their faces lit up. "How sweet."

I approached them and the three of us hugged.

Aang takes in my appearance and blushes, "wow, you look beautiful."

I giggled and looked down for a moment, before taking his hand and the three of us head outside. Zuko walked out first to greet the crowd of all the nations, Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, Water Tribe, and Foggy Swamp, but we had no Air Nomads.

It's unfortunate that there are no other Air Nomads here, because of what happened, but hopefully we will rebuild the Air Nomad population soon.

The crowd cheers at Zuko, but he puts his hand up and gestures to Aang and I.

"Please. The real hero is the Avatar and his Fire Angel." Aang and I walk out next to Zuko and the crowd cheers again and my eyes find my father, Iroh and he was smiling at me proudly. I spotted Hakoda and I gave him a soft smile. "Today this war is finally over!" The crowd cheers loudly and I felt relief rush through me. "I promised my uncle that I would restore the honor of the Fire Nation. And I will. The road ahead of us is challenging. A hundred years of fighting has left the world scarred and divided." Aang and I give Zuko a smile before looking back out at the crowd. "But with the Avatar and Fire Angel's help, we can get it back on the right path and begin a new era of love and peace."

Peace and love. That's all this world needs right now and we finally have it, after so many years of hatred and war, peace is here.

Zuko kneels down, preparing to be crowned Firelord and a Fire Sage approached with the headpiece.

The Fire Sage put the Firelord headpiece into Zuko's top knot. "All hail Firelord Zuko!"

Everyone cheers as Zuko stands up and I felt myself tear up as I applauded him. I don't think the word proud could even describe my emotion for Zuko right now.

But, I'm proud to be his cousin and I'm so grateful he's in my life now. I used to hate him and now I love him.

Zuko begins to walk toward the cheering crowd and gestures Aang and I to follow him. I grab Aang's arm as we approached him and and we look briefly at each other before looking out at the crowd. I rest my head on Aang's shoulder and a tear slips from my eye.

The war is over.

Later that day, all of us were in Ba Sing Se. It's beautiful to see kids playing with one another without anyone harming them. I'm just so happy, I can't even describe it.

We were at the Jasmine Dragon, my father's tea shop, enjoying some tea and spending some quality time together. Zuko was serving us tea, my father, Iroh was playing the tsungi horn, while my mother was reading a book. Aang is playing with Momo, Sokka is painting a picture, Toph was relaxing, I was petting Bubbles, who now has a Fire Lily in her fur, and Katara was enjoying her new life as soon to be queen.

"Zuko, stop moving!" We all turned to my brother and he was painting his picture. "I'm trying to capture the moment. I wanted to do a painting, so we always remember the good times together."

I smiled, sweetly and went up to my brother with Bubbles.

"Aww, that's sweet." I say and we all surround my brother.

"That's very thoughtful of you, Sokka." Katara mentioned and I noticed the painting, which caused me to become annoyed. It didn't look like us at all. "Wait, why did you give me Momo's ears?"

"Those are your hair loopies!" Sokka protested and I noticed myself, but I looked like a bug.

"Why do I look like a bug got smashed on a window?" I asked him, pointing to myself and Sokka frowned.

"Those are your wings!"

"At least you don't look like a boar-q-pine!" Zuko mentioned. "My hair is not that spiky!"

"I look like a man." My mother remarked and I giggled.

"And why did you paint me firebending?" Suki asked him.

"I thought it looked more exciting that way." Sokka shrugged and Momo jumps on to the table and chitters. "Oh, you think you can do a better job, Momo?" Bubbles chittered and I noticed Aang had gone outside. "Oh, you're so critical, Bubbles."

"Hey, my belly's not that big anymore. I've really trimmed down." My father berated.

"Well, I think you all look perfect!" Toph beams and we all laugh, before I see Aang and I follow him outside onto the balcony.

Aang watched the sunset and I approached him with a smile on my face. Aang turns to me with a smile and my cheeks turned pink as we looked at each other. I grab his shoulder and we embraced one another for a moment, before we pulled away slightly. We take a look at the pristine sunset in front of us, before looking back at each other and our eyes locked with one another. I leaned in and kissed Aang passionately and he returned it, tightening his arms around me.

After a hundred years, the world is at peace and it is full of love.

Thank you...no words can describe how thankful I am. It's been a crazy ride and I just want to say thank you to all of you for following me and supporting me on this amazing journey. Aya was such a fun character to create and she's such a sweet and kind soul that I absolutely adore. I definitely did not expect her to turn out this way, but as I wrote this story, I wanted her to have some sort of story line and she became the Fire Angel.

So, I have an announcement to make. This possibly isn't the end of my Avatar books, I have more I want to write. Avatar the Last Airbender is ending, but the story has just begun Aang and Aya have children, ya know?

It will be awhile until I actually start to write the story, because I have other stories to focus on. Idk when I will, but it will happen at some point.
