Shattered Glass
Warning: Mentions of bruises and broken noses. Reference to activities from last chapter, as in saying they feel dirty.
The four were thrown into their cells late that afternoon, they had said nothing and did nothing, they made as little noise as possible and refused to cry. They were brave.
But, they felt dirty.
They couldn't even wash and so the moment they got in the cell, they took their jumpsuits off so it wasn't dirty tomorrow and covered themselves with the thin blanket.
How could they face each other, and the others, now?
Thomas had feared they would get him again, but surprisingly they didn't, apparently Emile had a different punishment in mind for him and this scared Thomas for the rest of the day.
Everyone sat around for breakfast that morning and it didn't appear that either twin, or Logan, or Virgil would be appearing.
Maybe that was Thomas' punishment?
Or maybe it was the carrots they were serving him? He hated carrots.
A tray slammed on the table and then a body.
The man looked up and the small group gasped.
Virgil had a black eye and busted lip, red marks around his neck and was wriggling in his seat.
Thomas tensed.
Roman sat down next and away from Virgil. He didn't even looked at the Italian and Virgil didn't look to him either.
Romans nose was broken and his jumpsuit covered every once of skin, hiding the hand-marks and bruises that littered his body. He hid his face in his arms.
Logan and Remus walked over, standing away from each other. Both with various bruises in their body's.
Remus more specifically had a hand mark around his neck and busted lip and Logan's face was black and purple.
Thomas stared, this was his punishment...
The teenager ran over and hugged them, "are you ok?! What happened?!"
Remus and Logan froze, one thought on their mind. Thomas was alive. They fell to their knees and hugged him close.
Logan continuously running his hands through Thomas hair, Remus rubbing Thomas back, while Thomas clung to them in fear.
They couldn't let yesterday affect them. What happened, happened. They needed each other to get through this. And that's what they would do. Get through this.
Roman and Virgil found this harder to agree with. Roman felt dirty and for once in his life, hated everything that he has done. Virgil was just angry. He would kill that guard and Emile one day.
Poor Roman felt as if he had gone against Virgil, he couldn't look at him. The guilt was eating him up. So much so in fact that he got up and stormed to the nearest guard to leave.
Virgil tried to follow but Patton stopped him, "let him do. He needs to cool down. As do you."
Virgil hesitated, but nodded non the less and stayed put. He glanced to Remus who glanced back.
Revenge was afoot, that's for sure.
