Hey Ayesha! Hope you are doing good! I'm Appledip and I will be taking your interview today. So how does it feel like being nominated for an interview? Is this your first wattpad interview or are you used to the adrenaline rush it brings along with it?

Hello !! Thank you for your time in interviewing me. No it's not my first interview. Before this once in The Lotus Community I gave a mini interview just some questions they wanna ask about. So practically it's not first. It's feel awesome... And I specially wanna thank 123987Preet for choosing me and loving my work. I really appreciate it.

That's nice! Okay so, before we proceed any further, tell us a bit about yourself!

Well.. About myself umm... My real name is Akasha Maryam and I am a final year graduate student. I love eating, sleeping :) I am an Indian. I love spending my time on social media. I am a Phoneholic person. Well!! It's enough I think. I was not a big fan of reading and writing its just I love Yizhan. I can't get over them. But now I love reading and writing too.

That's pretty cool! And I'm sure most of us can relate to your love for eating and sleeping. I can! Haha! So, how did you get to know about Wattpad and when did you join it by the way?

I got to know about Wattpad because of my elder sister. She used to tell me the stories of Yizhan which she read on Wattpad. As I was not interested that time in reading. So I didn't asked the name of the app. But then she stopped telling me stories...poor me...I was very upset then I asked her the name of the app. She told me and here I am..... Basically I joined Wattpad in April 2020.Before me my sister uses my id. She uses it now too but before only she uses this id with my google account. She told me after 1month that she is using this id with my google account.

So did you initially join Wattpad as a reader and then started posting your own content or vice-versa?

Yes, initially I joined Wattpad as a reader. I love reading Yizhan fan fiction. I don't know how many fan fiction I have read. I can even finish a book with almost 60 long chapters in just 2 days.

How would you describe your writing style as?

My writing style is very simple. I prefer simple and straight forward more.

What are your go to genres as a reader? Any favourite book or writer, on or off wattpad...?

My favorite genre is Fan fiction : ) Yes.. I love "I Hate You" by @InfinityLM44. She is one of my favorite author. Her writing style is simple and descriptive. "I Hate You" was my first book on Wattpad and still I can't get over that book. Even I don't know how many times I have read that book. But still I love it. She is just like inspiration for me. After reading her book I decided to write my book (falling in love). And I am very happy that people are loving my book. Beside her I love jiasona45, FatumaHabuya, Natalie Taehyung. I love their unique stories and writing styles.

That's nice! So how long have you been a YiZhan fan? How did you get the idea/motivation to write a fan-fiction book?

In March 2020, I had watched their drama 'The Untamed' . After that I was like insane more like obssessed. I have watched every single fmv on YouTube whether it had english subtitles or not... Hehehe ..I now I am sounding like mad but yes I am mad for Yizhan. As I told earlier after reading @InfinityLM44 fan fiction. I decided to write. So yeah, she is my inspiration. Also my readers, I love you guys. Whenever I lost motivation, they keep motivated me.

I have forgot some names now. Sorry for that. But thank you guys. Love you all. I can't believe my story reached 4.14k read within 2 months when I even don't know properly how to write. Thank you for loving my story.

Aww...that's so sweet! Congratulations by the way! Ahhh so what was the inspiration behind the whole plot/story-line?

Inspiration behind the whole plot... Nothing. Actually one night I was lying on my bed. I couldn't sleep. I was thinking.. Suddenly an idea popped up in my mind. Beside me my sister was scrolling in her phone. I told her the idea. She liked it. And here it is...

Sweet! You have written your book in a very quote unquote 'reader interactive' way. How did you come up with the idea? Did you always plan to write it that way?

No. It just happened in that way.

Did you plan your book beforehand and write it or are you planning and writing it along the way while posting it on wattpad?

Sometimes I plan beforehand and sometimes plan along with writing. I just like it that way!

Nice! What do you personally prefer though, as a writer? Planning and writing the book beforehand or doing that along the way while posting it?

I personally prefer planning and writing the book along the way while posting it.

Which character of yours do you relate to the most and why?

Xiao Zhan. I relate to him because in my story he is a big trouble maker. In fact according to my other lead character (Wang Yibo) he is a grand master of trouble making and so am I. I also love trouble making. Hehehehe I know I am evil.

 So you relate to Xiao Zhan, the troublemaker. So do you classify yourself as a prankster? Haha!

 Not a prankster but a disaster!

Hahaha! Sweet! So are any of your characters inspired by someone in real life as in personality or situation or are they just figments of your imagination?

They are just figments of my imagination.

We always appreciate good imagination. Hats off! If you get a chance to spend an hour with any one of your characters, then which one would it be and why? What will you talk about or do. . .anything specific in mind that you could think of?

Xiao Zhan. I'll love to spend one hour with him. I love him. We will make big troubles together and will irritate Wang Yibo... 1 hour would be enough for us to torture Yibo. Hehehehe....

Wow! Okay, so now time for some more tea. Would you like to tell us a bit about your current works, now? Any future ideas we might see popping up on your profile in the near future?

I am a final year graduate student. I am persuing Batchelor of Science (with Chemistry and Maths) . In future I wanna be a professor of Mathematics. I love Maths.

As for on wattpad, my first book is Falling in love. It's ongoing. It's basically a simple and cute love story with a little bit humour of a boy who elope from his marriage and ran to China. Later he met his soulmate in China. I started this story almost 2 months ago. I even didn't knew that I will able to continue this story or not. But here I am. I have successfully updated it's 13 chapters. All thanks to my readers.

After that I started Love Sick. It's also a Yizhan fan fiction. It's a hate story. I have updated 2 chapters of this book. It's ongoing.

After love sick, I thought to write a oneshot. So I started writing 'Confession'. An another Yizhan fan fiction. But then it turned into short story. Till now I have updated 2 chapters. I have planned that I will end this story in another 2 or 3 chapters.

And then my sister gave me an idea to write my journey to 'The Untamed' or Yizhan. So I started writing it. In that book, I write my experiences. It's also ongoing.

In future, I have think to write another Yizhan fan fiction. I'll write that story whenever I'll complete at least one of my book. The plot of that story... Well!! You might laugh. Actually once I had a dream of that plot. I'll try to write that story really soon. And I know my readers will love that story too. Hope so. Fingers cross...

Wow you have a lot of stuff planned! All the best for all your books! How do you deal with a writer's block? I mean, they are so stubborn! Literal nightmares for every writer!
