Hey guys! Welcome back to our Interview book. I am your host and interviewer for today, Appledip_14 here with one of our amazing winners, ABrunetteGirl to sip some tea. She is the writer of the book, If The World Was Ending. Pick up your cups and get ready!!

Hey Belle! I'm Appledip and I will be taking your interview today. First of all, congratulations on coming first in the Constellations Awards! Ahh...how do you feel? Did you see that coming?

I'm super happy. This is the first time I've won any awards and it's the dream of any writer. I wouldn't say I saw it coming because there are so many other incredible writers and I've entered countless of awards and never won. However, I'm really happy and hopeful for If The World Was Ending!

Well most of the times good things happen so unexpectedly, right!

Okay, before we proceed, tell us a bit about yourself!

My names Belle. I've been writing on Wattpad for about 6 years. I only completed my first novel this year and then decided to start on my next idea which is If The World Was Ending. I love to write, it's always been an escape from bad times for me. It's part of the reason as to why I started a Mentoring programme a couple of months ago- it's where new writers can go and be paired up with a mentor to help them.

6 years! That's amazing! Yes, I agree. Books are really a portal which connects reality to fantasy :) And wow! The whole concept behind the mentoring program is really good and seems really helpful!

Okay so how did you get to know about Wattpad? Did you join it as a reader initially and then started posting your own content or vice-versa?

Yes I started as a reader and I remember reading "My Life With The Walter Boys" by Ali Novak and it's inspired me so much. I wrote my first 4 chapters of my romance novel Trapped Love straight after but I then didn't write anymore for a few years

Oh that book is so good! you had a really great start, right there! Haha!

So Belle, how would you describe your writing style as?

In if the world is ending, I'd describe it as playful and modern. It's the first time I've ever cursed in my book but as both Warner and Mila are in their twenties and due to the fact the world is ending, I wanted it to be relatable. Whenever I write dialogue I try to imagine how it would sound out loud which I think works to my advantage.

Yup, I totally get where you are coming from. And that's a really good way for writing dialogues!

Now, could you tell us a bit about your go to genres as a reader? Any favourite book or writer, on or off wattpad...?

Definitely romance but I've also got into missing people kind of books- so like mystery/thriller

That's really cool. So how did you get the idea of writing such a captivating and striking book? What was the inspiration behind the whole plot/story-line?

I'd just heard the song "if the world was ending" by JP Saxe and Julia Michaels and I fell in love with it and at the same time my mum had told me that her and her work colleagues were talking about what they'd do if they only had 3 days left to live and it sparked this whole idea

Wow. That's so interesting!

Ok so I must say, your cover is just so elegant and beautiful! And the title is really interesting. How did you come up with it? And do you define yourself as a Romantic? Because I, personally, am a huge closet romantic...haha!

Thank you! The title was from the song which inspired me and I was looking through pictures for covers and I saw a couple who looks just like Warner and Mila and I feel like having their backs to each other but secretly they're connected by their hands is a perfect summary of the story

And yes, I'm a massive romantic! I almost feel sorry for my boyfriend because it means my expectations are so high hahah but I put it to good use via my stories.

That's interesting! Haha!

After reading your blurb, I just couldn't stop myself from adding your book to my Library! Just captures the reader's attention immediately! I really found it interesting how it's about the world ending in 10 days, the way the protagonist wants to spend it and how everything flips around when Warner enters the protagonist's life.

How did you manage to make the blurb and the characters so enticing? Any advice for the fellow writers reading your interview?

Like most of my ideas, it came to me in the middle of the night and I had to grab my phone and write it down haha. But that's always my main advice is make sure it's captivating and we're down even the smallest of ideas! It is rough and maybe rewriting it a few times can help but soon enough you'll find something that's right for you

Did you plan your book beforehand and write it or are you planning and writing it along the way while posting it on wattpad?

I planned the overall outline before but I plan each chapter at a time

So what do you personally prefer though, as a writer? Planning and writing the book beforehand or doing that along the way while posting it?

Planning beforehand I would say

I see. So the book is written in 1st pov, that's Mia's and Warner's pov. So do you ever plan to write a book in 3rd person's pov? You know, try out different out different things. Venturing out into the unknowns...haha!

I'm not too sure. I never used to be a fan of joint pov stories but it fits perfectly for this book. I can't say I'm a huge fan of 3rd persons pov and I have no idea how to really convey characters emotions and not waffle but never say never

Uhun...I get where you are coming from.

Okay so, which character of yours do you relate to the most and why?

Definitely Warner, I know for a fact that I'd be acting exactly the same in a situation like that!

Nice! So well, are any of your characters inspired by someone in real life or are they just figments of your imagination?

Figments of my imagination but Warner definitely has aspects of lots of people in my life. I'm friends with lots of guys, kinda like lexi and Warner reminds me of a lot of them.

That's so cool! That way one actually enjoys writing even more, right?

Okay so now to some fun questions, If you get a chance to spend an hour with any one of your characters, then which one would it be and why? What will you talk about or do...anything specific thing in mind that you could think of?

Definitely and once again- Warner (I think I'm secretly I love with him) we would cause mayhem together! Definitely go out and party together or just drive around in his car

That's pretty chill!

So can we expect a miracle to happen by the end. Or at least an alternative ending apart from the one you have originally planned for your book?

Hmmm, a lot of people want the miracle to happen but unfortunately it's unlikely. There's been some thoughts from the very beginning about an epilogue/alternative! All I'll say is if I really wanted to- I could make this a four part series :) ...

Okay, so would you like to tell us a bit about your current works, now? Any future ideas we might see popping up on your profile in the near future?

So as I work on one book at a time, if the world was ending is only work right now. But after I think I'll go back to my romance roots with another romance novel but I do have a mystery/thriller that I'm excited about but it'll take a lot of planning

Well, we just gotta keep a look out then! Haha!

How do you deal with a writer's block? I mean, they are so stubborn! Literal nightmares for every writer!

Oh gosh I hate it! I definitely take a step back and try not to fight it too much. And then I'll think about how I should write the next chapter in bed or the shower and the minute I feel a bit inspired, I get to work

Haha! That's probably the best way to get rid of them.
