Chapter 12|Forsaken

Frowning, Sting looked down to the small box that laid in between his hands. 'Do it...' They said. 'It'll make you feel better.' They said. Sting closed his eyes and sighed. "I'm doing this only for my dad." Sting said silently. His vision started to get blurry with tears as he once again started to think about his father who mysteriously disappeared.

His thoughts dropped when he heard light footsteps behind him, going into role call. Sting wiped his teary eyes and sniffed. "Sting-Kun?" A familiar soft females voice called out to him by behind. Sting immediately placed the small box into his pocket and put on a fake smile. He turned and made eye contacted with the one he was supposed to propose to.

"Hey, Yuki!" He greeted while walking towards her. She blushed and gasped. "You haven't use the nickname in such a long time! Is this a special occasion?" She asked, smiling, her hand clapped together.

"Well..." Sting glanced back towards a door that led to Fiore's garden and thought of an idea. "I guess you can say that..." He finished his sentence making Yukino squeal. "I wonder what the occasion is for!!" Yukino beamed, a wide smile on her face. Sting nodded and turned, gesturing her to follow. "I have something to show you."

Sting rolled his eyes, knowing that Yukino already knew what he was going to do. He opened the door, letting Yukino out first and led her to where the flower garden was. As they walked by a flower bush, Sting stopped for a moment and ripped off a pink flower from it. Sting looked at the flower and remembered how his mother would scold him for killing such a beautiful flower.

"Here Yuki." Sting presented the flower to her and stick it through her hair and by her left ear. As Yukino was re-adjusting the flower, Sting noticed that it was a right time to do the proposal. So he went on one knee and grabbed the box that was in his pocket. He opened it and there, shined a diamond ring. "I know this isn't a proper way, but would you-"

"YES!!" Yukino screamed, throwing her arms around Sting's neck. To Sting's surprise, she placed aggressively multiple kisses on his closed mouth. His thoughts screamed in horror as she was in action. 'I did not sign up for this!'

She stopped with the kisses and showed Sting her brown eyes full of lust. "Maybe during the honeymoon I can show you what more I can do." Sting blushed after hearing what she said. 'WOAH WOAH WOAH!!! WHAT THE HELL?!' Sting did not expect that coming out of her. "W-What?"

Yukino frowning, knowing that she didn't succeed into pleasing Sting. "Just kidding!" Yukino laughed. "I guess excitement got into my head!" Sting shook his head and slid the ring onto Yukino's finger.

"I'm very excited for tomorrow, Sting-Kun! We'll be together forever!"

-

After learning what happen to Sting's maid, Yukino tried her best to comfort him. "I'm sorry about what happened, Sting." The light blue headed woman said, taking a step forward toward her fiancé. The blonde headed male nodded and turned. He was not in the mood to speak to her because of what had happened.

"Hey, now..." Yukino placed a hand on his shoulder and another one on his face. She gently pushed his face to turn to her. With that, they made eye contact. "Tomorrow is going to be a big day for us. I'm sure you're going to have fun!" Yukino smiled as she went on her toes.

Sting tensed up as her face was close to his. She closed her eyes and leaned forward. She held a tight grip on his shoulder as she leaned forward. Sting watched as her face got closer and closer. He widened his dark blue eyes and tried to back away, but her grasp was strong.

"Yukino!"

A loud and deep makes voice called her from the open door. Yukino growled and went back on her feet and turned to see who it was. Sting turned as well and smiled when he saw his savior.

"What do you want Rufus?!" She asked, her voice rising a bit. Rufus pushed back his red mask and sighs. "I expected you guys to have a conversation about the wedding. Not you acting all lovey-dovey." Rufus said as he made his way inside the room. "You can save your kisses for him later. Now, I have to tell Sting the procedures for tomorrow." Rufus said, pointing at the door. Yukino opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out.

She glared at Rufus then stormed out of the room. "I don't recall her being so eager and fussy. What's wrong with her?" Rufus asked, looking at Sting. The prince shrugged and slumped on a nearby couch.

"I wish I could just cancel the whole thing tomorrow." Sting said, whining. "Why is that? I thought you have romantic feelings for Yukino." Rufus replied, taking a chair from a desk and sitting on it, facing it to Sting's direction.

"She's just a friend to me." Rufus looked at Sting in confusion and asked, "Then who do you have romantic feelings for? Is it-?"

"-She's not here anymore." Sting replied. Rufus's eyes widened at what Sting said. "(Y/N)?!" Sting nodded and buried his face into his hands. "I see. Now that you say that, I remember how interested you were in her..." Rufus said, placing his index finger onto his chin. "Ever since she came, I grew a bit attached to her... and She did cheer me up from my depression." Sting smiled then looking over at Rufus who was in deep thought.

"You're not mad?" Sting asked, looking at Rufus. Rufus shook his head and said, "Why would I be? Her being a demon doesn't change my views on her." Sting smiled at what he said and leaned back in the couch. "At Least you accept who she is, unlike anyone else..." Sting sighed. "Hey don't blame yourself, Sting..."

Sting said nothing and looked outside of the window. "You know Sting. It's getting late and I think you should rest for tomorrow..." Rufus said, standing up and looking at the time. "It's eleven o' clock. It's best to rest now." Sting nodded and sat up from the couch. "Show me the way, Rufus." Rufus nodded and started walking towards the door.

"Wait-We never talked about procedures." Sting whined, nervous for the next day. "Don't embarrass yourself, don't fall, don't say anything stupid, be careful, and have manners." Rufus said, before leaving the door open so Sting could walk out. "What if I'm-" Rufus sighed and rolled his eyes. "You'll just have to eat later when the church is over." Sting frowned and walked out into the hallway with Rufus following behind shortly after.

It was so dark walking through the castle at night. Sure there were lights, but the lights were dimmed so royals could sleep easier. It was a silent walk between the two young men.

"You should've seen it!" A girls voice said loudly behind a door Sting and Rufus had past. Sting stopped and noticed that it was Yukino's room. "It was so romantic, I almost fell in love!" A girl's voice beamed. "If I recall, Yukino doesn't sound like that..." Rufus said, concern on his face.

"So we're in the deal tomorrow, right? I get to actually be in the ceremony?" Yukino's voice asked. "Yeah whatever." After the girls voice had said that, the lights turned off. With that action, it told Rufus and Sting that whoever was in that room was now sleeping. "Weird." Sting whispered.

-

Sting opened his blood-shot red eyes and gave out a desperate sighed. He couldn't sleep and it was killing him inside for it. He couldn't stop thinking of the girl he loved. He couldn't take what happened to her and what has become of her.

If only he had a chance to speak to her again...

"That's it!" He exclaimed as he rolled off of his bed. He looked for sweatpants, since he slept in his boxers, and a sweatshirt. He grabbed a backpack and wrapped Lector in. He placed Lector in the back and slightly, placed the backpack on. He shook it gently and heard Lector yawn. "Is it morning already?" The exceed asked, sleepily. "No little buddy. We're going to see (Y/N) right now." Sting replied. Thinking it was a dream, Lector smiled. "Yay!" He then got comfortable and yawned again. "Wake me up when we get there." Sting chuckled and closed the backpack. He went over to the closet and looked for a tool that'll help him get down and lay eyes on a steel bar. "The hell? Oh! A crowbar!" Sting grabbed it and inspected it. "Don't know why there's a crowbar, but that ain't my business!"

Sting walked over to his window and unlocked it. In a quick motion, Sting opened the window. It squeaked a little, causing Sting to panic and waited to hear any noise or footsteps. He walked to the door of his room and locked it. He looked out of the window and saw how he was a bit far up. He looked up to see the moon setting.

He looked around to see if he can jump onto something and then remembered what he used to do when he sneaked out. "Damn... It's been a long time since I've done this..." Sting muttered under his breath. He crouched and crawled out of the window, using the walls for support. He looked around and found a rail like, roof. "Maybe if I slide down with my crowbar..." Sting shrugged his shoulders and went for it. "Fuck it, I need to be quick anyways..."

He crouched again and started to slide down, his crowbar helping him go down slowly. Suddenly, the pattern of the rail-like roof ended and Sting clinged onto the crowbar. He looked down and saw how it wasn't a big fall. He let go of the crowbar and rolled once he landed on the floor.

He did a victory pump and started to run towards the prison that (Y/N) was being held in.

-

[After Sting had visited (Y/N)]

"The sun is coming up!" Sting gasped as he fasten his pace. "Do you need help?" Lector asked, popping his head out of the backpack. "Yeah!" Sting exclaimed as he started to climb the large barriers of Fiore's castle. "Alright!" Lector sprung up from the backpack and used his wings.

He carried Sting upward and flew towards his open window. "Lector, can you go any faster?" Sting asked, causing Lector to nod. He flew faster and reached towards the window. Sting crouched on the edge of the window and caught Lector from falling as his wings dissaoeared. He then rolled in and closed the window.

Sting jumped on the bed and threw the blankets over Lector and him. As he was starting to close his eyes, a knock on the door cause him to open them back. "What?!" Sting asked in a groggy voice. "It's time to wake up!" Sting recognized the voice to be Rufus's and sighed. "Hurry up! You don't have all day." Sting tilted his head and heard Rogue's voice as well.

Sting jumped to his feet and opened the door. "Holy crap, you look tired." Rufus commented, walking inside. "Tell me something I don't know..." Sting grumbled. "Why are you sleepy? You went to sleep early." Rogue asked, walking into Sting's bathroom. Sting eyed what he was carrying, which was a huge blanket around his arms. Sting shook it his curiosity and replied, "I went to go see (Y/N) earlier."

Rogue looked at Sting in confusion and sighed. Rufus overheard this and dropped the towels he was holding. "Why?" Rufus asked, picking up the towels and throwing it at Sting's face. "I was just worried for her..." Sting said, grabbing the towels. Before they can say anything, Sting went into the bathroom and closed it, locking it.

Rufus and Rogue looked at each other and shook their heads. "This guy..." Rufus sighed. Rogue turned and placed the huge blanket on Sting's bed and placed more blankets of it. "Rogue, you're going to suffocate the poor exceed." Rufus said, walking over and placing the blankets off Frosch. "I just want him/her to be warm. I don't want him/her getting sick today." Rogue replied.

"You think the wedding is going to turn out great?" Rufus asked, looking outside of the window. "Why do you say that?" Rogue asked, narrowing his eyes at Rufus. "Sting's mind might be off of the wedding and on something else. And plus, we're having a wedding here despite the disappearance of all the kings." Rufus replied, his hand behind his back.

"I guess you're right about this, but I don't think today is going to be a bad day if that's what you're saying. Besides, were guarded with trained professionals here." Rogue replied, opening a indoor closet. "That's not the point... Downstairs when we were going up here, I overheard the guards talking to each other about some unusual events that happened last night. And since Sting was with his girl, I'm sure he knows about it."

"I have a theory..." Rogue said, seriousness all over his face. "Since (Y/N) is part of Tartaros, what if she's behind all of those assassinations?" Rufus looked at Rogue with wide eyes. "That's absurd! There's no evidence to back that up!"

Rogue frowned and asked, "So you're really going to defend the demon, huh?" Rufus glared at Rogue and replied, "No, I'm trying to defend my friend."

"Anyways, the day that Sting's mother was... Murdered, I saw a shadow escaping the area, doesn't the girl have shadow magic too?" Rogue said, making Rufus's eyes widen. "T-That is true, b-but (Y/N) is too kind to do that." Rufus replied, his thoughts all over the place.

"I knew it! That demon messed with your minds! She made herself look all innocent when she's really not!" Rogue snarled, his hands turning into fists. "Don't tell Sting." Rufus blurted out. "What?" Rogue's red eyes stared at the masked man. "If it really is true, then let Sting find out on his own. As we said, Sting wouldn't be himself at the wedding if he found out." Rufus pointed out. "But-" Rogue tried to say, but Rufus interrupted.

"If you're really his best friend, then act like one."

Rogue's eyes widened and looked down. "Damn! You're like my second dad or something!" Rufus smiled at his comment and said, "I'll take that as a compliment.

(RECALLING FROM THE LAST CHAPTER! 2ND P.O.V!)

You woke up in a cold cell room, with your hands cuffed closely together. You could hardly remember anything since your head was in so much pain. You scanned the room, thinking of what could have brought you here. You looked down at your appearance and saw that you had wore your ripped maid clothing and that's when you remembered.

You were exposed as an Tartaros member.

Your cursed under your breath and looked down ashamed. "Whatever, my priority right now is to get the fuck out of here." You grunted as you tried to rise up onto your feet. It took you a while, but you managed to get on your feet, you leaned on the cell bars for support.

You looked at the room and noticed that it had bricks for walls and a small window by the roof. You got on your toes and tried to see what could possibly be behind that window. It was morning and saw legs going around places. To your confusion, you wondered how the prison will let you see the actual world behind the window.

You stood there, leaning against the bars, staring out the window and watched as the crowd began to fade. Confused, you wondered where they were going in a rush. Your thoughts vanished when a loud church bell began to ring. "O-Oh the wedding..." Your hearts began to ache for an unknown reason, causing you to get scared. "Am I... Having a heart attack?"

-

(Unknown's 1st P.O.V)

Just fucking great! (Y/N) couldn't even do the job and Amanda is lagging it! Is this guy really charming? Will I fall in love too?! Like what the fuck. I growled in anger as I began to think about the blonde jerk who caught (Y/N)'s attention. I can't to see him blow up!

I laugh to myself, thinking of multiple ways to blow up the site! I chuckled silently just thinking about it. "It's a perfect day for some mayhem!" I giggle to myself. I place my gloves onto my hands and began to climb the church where the ceremony is being held. I broke a small window and made my way inside and noticed how it was a balcony towering over the chapel.

"Perfect!"

Seeing that the guards were distracted, I placed some of my special bombs called Concussion Mine and placed them all over the place. I have to save my power for when I get to kill that blonde! "Ohoho, this'll be good." I commented while throwing a mine down to where the aisle was. "That's a good spot." I placed one by where the groom and bride would stand.

I'm not into weddings and such, so I wouldn't know what these things were called. I just know the set-up. Now I just wait and sit down.

After moments of waiting, I groan and layed down on the spot I lay, which was a large box and some equipment. "It's hard to just sit around knowing there's someone out there that need to be blown up!" Finally, my ears perk up when I hear the loud church bells. "Finally..."

After a while of introduction, I waited for what I've been waiting for and was starting to place my thumb over the activation button of my mines.

"Do you, Yukino.." My ears perk up once again and look down over the scene. The light blue headed girl with innocent brown eyes had a smile on her face and was grasping blondie's hand. "I do." My smirked turned wider and looked at blondie. "Do you, Sting Eucliffe, take Yukino..." I was starting to press down on the button. "...Wife?"

I waited for him to say something, but he seemed hesitant. What the hell? I thought Prince Charming was going to marry his beautiful princess. Even the princess seemed confused on why he wasn't replying. I saw sweat forming on his head and still had that smile on his face.

"I-I-"

"BOOM!!!" I yelled, giggling after. I pressed the button and jumped down to the area. Luckily, I was immune to my bombs that it doesn't harm me! I heard screams of pain and horror, causing me to laugh. "Hahaha!! You're blowing up!" I smirked, looking over my work. I take off my gloves and threw them into my pockets. I look at my claws and giggled. "This bombs for you!" I touched the wall and another explosion came out.

"The names Jackal! Remember that in hell!"

I still scented some survivors in this and looked for this. I then hissed in pain when I felt something piercing into my skin. I love it when my victim does this to me, now this gives me a reason to blow them up!

"Well, that's a fine-how-do-do!" I giggled, racing over Blondie. Blondie saw me and panicked. He realized about his bride and carried her out. "Oh well! I guess party's over!" I smiled. "Still gotta get him, but I think it'll be more interesting with (Y/N) by my side!"

-

[After Jackal had blown up the ceremony and rescued (Y/N)]

"Jackal..." (Y/N) started to say. I turned to her with one eye open. "Hm?" Her eyebrows furrowed as she looked at the environment around her. "What'd you do?" She asked, on to me. "Eheh... I just blown up a church... No biggie!" I said, turning and tried to avoid her. "Did you hurt him?" (Y/N) asked darkly. "What?" I asked, turning to her.

What I saw scared me. Literally. Instead of having two beautiful (Eye Color) eyes, her right eye was a crimson red and stared right into my eyes. "Sting." She said. "Oh." I scoffed. "No, he ran away with the bride before I can blow him up."

"W-Wha-" I growled and grabbed her by the hand. "Don't let the boy to get to your head. We have a mission to do. C'mon!" I snarled, dragging her towards an alley. "So what's going to happen to me now that I failed the mission." I heard (Y/N) said sadly. I soften my expression and glanced back at her. "Don't worry, (Y/N). I won't let them touch you. If they do, then I guess I'll blow them up if I have too."

"Thanks, Jackal." I heard her say, causing me to feel a feeling I've felt before. But what? Eh. Who cares. After leading her into endless alleyways, I started to get bored and started to play around with girlie. I jumped onto a roof and pretend that I was going to leave her. She was starting to get mad at me, until when we heard familiar voices.

"S-Sting-Kun, I'm scared." I saw (Y/N)'s eyes widen and look up to me. "Shit..." I said, hearing their voices coming closer and closer. I knew that either way, they'll see us or atleast her. "Don't worry it's going to be al-" Just as his sentence stopped, he had turned to corner and was now staring at (Y/N). From evaluation, I could tell that he was surprised to see her.

I looked at the girl and saw her starting to shake in fear. At the moment, (Y/N) was extremely harmless, but me seing her like that makes me tempted to cause more mayhem. "(Y/N)!" I heard Sting said in joy and embraced the confused girl in his arms. I was starting to get angered and almost jumped down, but then Sting started to get bipolar and watched him.

"Wait a minute..." His brain was starting to process. "How are you here?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowing. "Wait... Your friend. Oh god! Your friend!" Sting was starting to yell at (Y/N). I watched her movements and saw how she wasn't having any reaction towards it. "(Y/N), your godamn friend killed I don't know how many, but ..."

I heard him going on and on, so I started to space out since it wasn't important. I look up to see the sun already going up. Shit. It's already high noon and we're lagging it too. I turned back down to see a pretty damn good argument worth hearing.

"SHUT UP!!" (Y/N) yelled, raising her left hand and attempted to slap Sting, but Sting caught her hand. "NO! LISTEN TO ME RIGHT NOW!" Sting yelled back, causing his little bride to flinch from how loud he was. "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW I'VE FELT I-MFPH!" (Y/N) grabbed the collar of Sting's tuxedo and pulled it down with force, causing him to hunch over. To my surprise, she pressed her lips against blondie and closed her eyes, enjoying the moment.

(Sorry for bad drawing.)

"WOAH! I did not rescue you just you can be sucking faces with lover boy! C'mon!" I yelled, jumping down from my spot and yanking (Y/N) away and carried her by the waist. "It was nice knowing y'all!" I waved at them before throwing a bomb at them. "Damn it (Y/N)!"

-

(Before Jackal ruined the wedding)

"Father, I would like to speak to you..." Sting said, arriving early than others. The priest looked up from his bible and closed it. "What is it, child? Aren't you supposed to get ready for the wedding. "Well..." Sting looked at his clothing and was already ready. "I'm ready. I just got clothed fast so I can speak to you."

"Ah, yes." The priest said, his attention on Sting now. "I'm sorry, father, but, I think I'm going to forfeit the wedding..." Sting said with his head down. The priest gasped and furrowed his eyebrows. "I'm in love with some else. I can't marry Yukino and love someone else..."

"Holy Sainy Francis, what a change is here! Is Yukino, the one you love so dearly, so soon forsaken? Young men's love then lies not truely in their hearts, but in their eyes." The priest said, pushing his glasses back. "F-Father is not like that! You know that the marriage was arranged. I only saw Yukino as a friend, not for lust."

"Apologies, Prince, but since it's arranged. I believe you cannot forfeit, unless something impossible happens." The priest explained. "I see... Thank you, Father." The priest and Prince bowed to each and said their goodbyes.

(Second P.O.V)

Arriving at Tartaros's main guild hall, you were greeted with glares coming from other demons and minions. It's been a long time since you've been to the halls, and you'd never thought you'd enter it again with a failed mission.

Perhaps today was your last day alive, and you believed in that so much that you took advantage of your last days and forcefully kiss Sting. It wasn't like you hated it or anything...

"Get out of my sights. I wish to not see you, Conbolt. You're just like your mother, a disgrace." Amanda snarled as she crossed paths with you. By her comment, you started to get angered. "You know nothing of my mother." You said with venom, glaring at her.

She scoffed at you and walked towards the guild doors. "Whatever, but if you fail the next mission, you're dead." Amanda said, giving you a last glare then leaving the guild halls. "Is that true?" You asked turning to Mard who did nothing to stop the little arguement.

"Yes. You're going to assist Jackal into killing an old member of the Magic Council."

This was not edited so sorry for the mistakes.

Shit is about to get real in the next chapters. I was only going to make 13 chapters but I guess that won't be possible. My goal is perhaps 15 or 20. I have huge plans for the upcoming chapters.

And I hoped you like this chapter.

Don't forget to vote or comment!
