LINK'S POV

I exited the cave and there was purple fog surrounding the woods. I then used my sesnes and there was two dark insects I ran up to one of the them and I defeated it but the other one managed to fly away from my atttack.The insects was hovering above me it was about to attack me with its sparks until (Y/N) showed up and she killed it.

"(Y/N) you finally made it, what took you so long?" (Y/n) then said,"Sorry, I got held up but I'm here now did you manage to defeat the other dark insects back at the gate?"

"Yes I did, the tear drops should be in that vessel" (Y/n) smiled and said,"Good work, I managed to kill the other dark insects back there as well."

I sniffed her a little bit and there was another scent on her body it wasn't the dark insects' scent it, was another wolf?

"Hey (Y/N), was there another wolf around here?" I asked her. She looked a bit nervous and she said,"uhh no not really why?"

"cause I can smell another wolf's scent on you, did it hurt you?" (Y/n) then said,"Link just drop it will ya"

We were interrupted when Midna said,"Will you two stop barking at each other! You're giving me a headache! If you two dogs don't mind we have a job to do."

We went over to the tear drops and then they went inside the vessel and then our bodies started to glow for a moment like last time.

We then walk over to the edge of the fog and Midna said,"Hey... Think we can get across over here?"

She got off my back and then she was floating above a broken branch (Y/N) jumped from the edge and she leap from the broken branch to the rock and then she leap to the stump and then she landed to the other side.

She shouted,"Hurry up! Before I leave you two behind!"

"Tsk, show off I'm starting to think she's enjoying that wolf form of hers."

After I said that I followed Midna and we both caught up with (Y/N). We went to another ledge and like last time and eventually we made it to the other side of the fog we were about to continue though the woods until we noticed something that was digging in the earth.

READER'S POV

"Link, I think it's those dark insects come on help me dig them out." After I said that to Link we started to chase the dark insects that were in the earth I managed to catch one of the them and i dug it out when it did it used it sparks to defend itself. Once it stopped using its sparks I managed to defeat it and Link did the same.

We got the tears and then we continued through the woods. I looked around a little bit and Link said,"(Y/N) do you sense the other dark insects yet?"

"Not yet but if we keep going in this direction we might be able spot them." Suddenly,I saw three shadow beasts and when we go closer to them we were fenced in again.

"Ohh great here we go again." We managed to defeat them like what we did last time and then their bodies turned into little squares and then it created a portal.

We continued to walk through the woods until I saw the temple again I was able sense danger in that temple so Link and continued to reach it and then we saw another spirit and it was that monkey again and there were two dark insects surrounding her.

Link and I ran over to them and we managed to defeat them and the monkey said,"Someone... Someone helped me?...Boy, lucky for me... Ever since the boss went funny in the head, there've been scary monsters everywhere... Those village kids got led through the woods for some reason... The whole forest is so weird now... What's happened?"

"The village kids? could that monkey be talking about Colin, Llia and the others?" I thought to myself.

After we heard what that monkey said Link and I grabbed the last remaining tears and then our bodies started to glow bright blue and then we were back at the waterfall.

The vessel of light was now full of tears and the light has been returned to the area. Midna then came out and said,"Aww, but it was so nice here in the twilight... What's so great about a world of light ,anyway? Eee hee hee! See you two later!"

The water then started to glow brightly like last time and then this ball of light came out of the water and then the second light spirit took form of a monkey with a very long tail.

It said,"My name is Faron. I am one of the light spirits of light who dwell in Hyrule. I use the life force of the gods to protect this forest. O brave youths... In the land covered in twilight, where people roam as spirits. you transformed into a blue-eyed beast and you were transformed into a (E/C)-eyed wolf... That was a sign..."

"What was this sign about?" I asked light spirit Faron.

He said,"It was a sign that the powers of the chosen ones rest within you two...and that they are awakening. Look at your awakened forms..."

LINK'S POV

I looked down and I was wearing a green hat a green tunic and I had the sword and the shield that I got from before we entered into the twilight.

The light spirit said to me,"The green tunic that is your garb once belonged to the ancient hero chosen by the gods... His power is yours. His is the true power that slept within you."

READER'S POV

"Link is the chosen hero by the gods? well, at least that explains where he got that mark of the triforce of courage from." I thought to myself. (A/N The reader's outfit is supposed to look like the picture I drew).

I then looked at my hands and I was wearing my father's hidden blades and I was also wearing long knee boots,a White cape with a hood, the belt had throwing knives and it also has a strange symbol that I don't recognise, I was also wearing some armour on my shoulders and my outfit was white and the edges of it has red on it.

The light also said to me,"The white Assassin out fit that you wear is your garb which once belonged to the group of assassins that once assisted the chosen hero and protected the royal family... Their power now belongs to you and their powers and their abilities are now awakening within you."

"Your names are Link and (Y/N). Link, you are the hero chosen by the gods and (Y/N), you are the assassin chosen by your ancestors."

Link and I looked at each other with shock on our faces we had no idea we were the chosen ones.

The light spirit then said to us,"Brave Link, Assassin (Y/N)... A dark power rests in the temple deep withing these woods. It is a forbidden power. Long,long ago, I and the other spirits of light locked it away. Because of its nature, it is a power that should never be touched by any who dwell in the light."

"But this world weeps beneath a mantle of shadows, and so there is no choice... You two must match the power of the King of shadows."

The light spirit was about to disappear he then said to us,"If you two would seek this forbidden power, then proceed to the temple in the forest depths."

After the spirit disappeared Link asked me," Your ancestors were the group of assassins that protected the royal family? But I thought they were all killed a long time ago."

"Well, this may have surprised you Link but I already know who the assassins were you see these hidden blades I got from Rusal's house once belonged to my father and he too was one of them." I said as I held up both of my wrists to show Link my Father's hidden blades.

Midna then came out of Link's shadow and said,"Well,well... You're the chosen hero and you are the chosen assassin and all that, huh? So THAT'S why you two turned into those beast forms! What a shame... I mean, maybe you two would rather just wander as spirits like the rest of them, totally unaware of what was happening for all eternity...right?"

I whacked Midna on the head with my fist and she shouted,"OW! What was that for!?"

"That's what you get for being so ignorant and cheeky all the time I have just about had it with you Midna!" i shouted angrily. A tick mark appeared on her head and shouted,"Hey! Don't get angry with me Missy!"

"Ohh go and bother some else already!" I shouted as a tick mark appeared on my head as well. Link then said,"Ladies,Ladies can you two calm down and forget about what happened and be nice to each other."

We both looked at each other with angry looks and we turned our backs at each other and she then said,"Eee hee hee! So... What do you two want to do? Do you want to head to that temple? Well, isn't that convenient! I was about to head there myself."

I looked at her again and she said,"Hey, look... You two want to help your friends, right? The way I see it, maybe they're in that temple, waiting for you two to rescue them... Well, good luck Mr. Important Hero! And Miss Important Assassin! Eee hee hee! See you later!"

Midna then disappears back into Link's shadow and I said to him," Urrrr! I can't take that little imp anymore she gets on my nerves!"

"(Y/N) calm down you can beat the crap out of her later right we've got other things to worry about like trying to look for this 'Forbidden power' in the forest temple and looking for Colin and the others." Link said.

I sighed and said,"Fine, but if that little imp crosses the line with me she's asking for it." Link looked at me and said,"did anybody ever tell you that you have a bad temper?"

"Oh shut up Link and let's get going already" I grabbed Link's tunic and we made our way to the forest temple.
