READER'S POV

Dreamworld...

"What's going on? Where am I?"

I looked around but I couldn't see anything and then suddenly there was a large explosion and I saw some hooded people and they were fighting against some but I couldn't quite see him and some of the hooded people were all killed and few of them managed to escape.

Then I heard that whisper again it said to me.

"You are one of the assassins.. you must assist the hero..."

"What! Who is the hero!? And who are these assassins anyway!?"

Suddenly everything went black...

I woke up and I was panting heavily and then I looked out of the window and I noticed it was morning.

"Phew, it was just a dream."

I mumbled to myself. I got off the bed and I changed into the clothes that shadow gave me and then I headed downstairs and I made some breakfast for Link and myself. I made two boiled eggs and I cut the toast into strips so that they're used for dipping them into the yoke. I shouted Link.

"Hey, link! Breakfast is ready!"

I heard link coming down the stairs and he said to me.

"Hey (Y/n), what did you make?"

"Boiled egg with soldiers my mother showed me how to make this."

I said with a proud smile. Link then said to me after sitting down.

"Thank you, didn't need to do this."

I smiled at Link and I said to him.

"It's not a problem besides, I wanted to thank you for letting me stay here and for showing me around the village it's the least I can do."

After we finished eating breakfast we both headed outside and we saw three village kids, I think their names were Talo, Malo and Beth. Link smiled at them and he said to them.

"Morning you three, what brings you here?"

Talo said to Link.

"Hey did ya hear? Beth's mother is selling a slingshot!"

"I'm guessing they want to use it to deal with those monkeys that have been coming to the village lately."

I thought to myself and I then said to Link.

"OK, Link I'm gonna go for a walk around the village see ya."

LINK'S POV

After (Y/N) left I turned back to Talo, Malo and Beth they were talking about that slingshot that Beth's mother has in the shop but knowing Beth she won't lend them some money. I went to Ordon village and I walked up to Beth's father he was looking at the wasp's nest I guess he wants to get rid of it. I noticed (Y/n) sitting on one of the pillars that are next to the shop. I wonder what she was looking at. I climbed up the vines that were on the pillar and I went over to see (Y/N).

"Hey (Y/n) I thought you were going for a walk."

(Y/n) Looked at me and she said to me.

"I was but I thought I'd come up here and get a better view of the village and there's also that."

I looked at the direction where she was pointing and I saw a monkey holding onto a basket.

"Colin's mother told me she lost that but it turns out one of those pesky monkeys stole it I'm trying to figure out how am I gonna get it back."

I thought for a moment and I said to her.

"Actually, you can try and call the hawk with this."

I pick up a hawkweed that calls the hawk.

"What is it?"

She asked me as she looked at the whistle.

"Its a weed that whistles the hawk go ahead."

She played the hawk's whistle and then it came down and landed on her arm. (Y/n) then said to me with an impressed look on her face.

"Okay go and get that basket back from that monkey."

After she said that the hawk flew over and it grabbed the cradle and it brought it to (Y/n).

"Well, that was clever thanks link."

"Not a problem."

I blushed as I saw that smile on her face. (Y/n) then said to me.

"Well I better give this back oh and by the way, Colin said he has made you a fishing rod you better go and get it."

"Alright, thanks for letting me know."

READER'S POV

After I got the basket back I headed towards Colin's house and I gave her basket back. I was about to head to Ordon ranch to see how Fado is doing I started to sense something I couldn't tell what it was so I went to Ordon spring. After I reached Ordon spring I saw something there was some sparkling lights it said to me.

"You are one of them..." 

I looked around and I spoke up.

"What are you talking about?"

"You are an assassin, you are one of them,(Y/n).." 

The whispers said to me. I continued to look around I then asked them.

"What? An assassin? I have no idea what you're talking about."

"It would seem your father hasn't told you everything..until we meet again..." 

The lights disappeared. I then shouted at the whispers.

"Wait! Who are you!? What do you mean my father hasn't told me everything?!"

I tried calling for those lights to come back but it was no use they were gone.

"What was that just now? Am I hearing and seeing things? Oh well."

I was about to head back to the village until something tap me on the shoulder I turned around and it was Shadow. I smiled at him and I said to him.

"Shadow? What are you doing here?"

Shadow smiled back and he said to me.

"I came here to see if you're doing okay."

I ran up to and I hugged him tightly.

"I'm so glad you came things weren't the same without you."

Shadow hugged me back and said to me.

"Same goes for you, Castle town hasn't been the same since you left."

I pulled away from him and I asked him.

"Hey shadow what's happening with the ranch?"

Shadow scratched the back of his head and said to me.

"I can tell you this much your aunt is gonna get rid of that barn the one that parents died in."

I was shocked at this and I asked him.

"What?! That barn has been in my family for a very long time and my aunt wants to get rid of it."

Shadow sweatdropped when I shouted angrily.

"I tried to reason with her but you know Daisy and Maisie they would just chase after me."

I smirked at him and I said to Shadow.

"What did you expect? You're a tall handsome guy with some really good looks, wait did I just say that out loud?"

"*Laughs* yeah you did."

I started to blush and I covered my face with my hands. Shadow then asked me.

"Oh yeah I just remembered, your landlord wanted me to tell you that they still haven't found your father's will they reckon the will might be either destroyed or lost for good they're gonna try again tomorrow if they can't find it then that's it, you can say goodbye to your family's ranch."

I uncovered my face and shouted angrily.

"Are you kidding!? They can't give up that easily! Those people know that ranch belongs to me and my family!"

Shadow raised his hands in defence and he said to me with a sweat drop running down the side of my head.

"(Y/n) calm down I know how much that ranch means to you but you can't give up yet."

"*Sighs* I know Shadow but that ranch is the only thing that's left of my family if lose it then I'll have nothing I'll just be a street rat for the rest of my life."

I said as I lowered my head. Shadow smiled and he said to me.

"Hey, don't start that besides you've got me."

Shadow came up behind me and hugged me I didn't know what this feeling is but whenever I'm near shadow my heart starts racing. Shadow then whispered in my ear.

"I promise you, I will look out for you,(Y/n)"

I started to blush bright red when I felt his breath on my neck and then we both looked into other's eyes. Shadow then got closer to my lips and he was about to kiss me until we heard a monkey and some kids shouting. We both hid behind the wall of the forest spring. While we were hiding shadow was in front of me and he was really close and then he whispered to me.

"Man, that was too close for comfort."

I sighed of relief after he pulled away and I said to him.

"Yeah, Shadow you better get out of here before anybody notices."

Just then we heard a gallop in the distance we hid behind the wall again and I realized it was Link.

After he left Malo and Beth headed back to Ordon village once they were gone Shadow and I checked to make sure they were gone.

"Okay, the coast is clear you better scram before Link gets back."

Shadow looked at me with suspicion in his eyes.

"Link? Who's link?"

I smiled slightly and said to him.

"Link is a friend, right now I'm staying him until I can find a place."

Shadow glared at me slightly.

"I see I hope he doesn't try anything funny with you."

"As if, besides, I know you shadow you can get jealous easily when I'm with another boy."

I said with a smirk. Shadow sighed and he then said to me.

"Well I better get going it sure was great seeing you again."

Shadow ran across the bridge and he left.

'I'm so glad I got to see you again shadow, anyway I better get back to Ordon and I find out what was all that about.'

I thought to myself. I got to Ordon village and I saw Collin and I asked him.

"Colin, what's going? I was at Ordon spring and I saw Beth Talo and Malo chasing a monkey."

"Lately these monkeys kept showing around the village and Talo claims he can catch one of them."

I realized what that meant and I said to him.

"And now one of them has shown up and then Talo, Malo and Beth have gone to catch it."

"Exactly but don't worry Link has gone to catch them."

"Yeah well let's just hope he's okay."

"But still I better go with Rusal in case Link needs our help." 

I thought to myself as I went to look for Link.

LINK'S POV

I galloped on Epona as fast as I could until I saw a cave it was pitch black but then I saw a man with a bird's nest on his head he gave me a lantern and he said if I need my lantern refilled I can go to him. I was about to enter the cave until a large plant appeared from the ground I managed to defeat it and I spotted something on the ground it was Talo's wooden play sword I entered the cave and I lit a few fire stands with my lantern and I did run into some bats and some other plants.

When I exited the cave I was on the other side of the woods and there a few enemies but I did manage to defeat them but I remembered that the gate was locked so I went into another cave and there was a small chest and I opened it and I managed to get the key that opens the gate. When I managed to get to the gate there were two guards one in front of the gate and the other one was on the other side of the gate. I managed to defeat one of them and then I opened the gate and then one of the guards was about to charge at me suddenly someone or something threw a knife at it.

Then I heard a familiar voice shouting.

"Link!"

I turned around and it was (Y/n). (Y/N) then said to me.

"You had me worried Link it took me a while to find you."

I looked at her with shock on my face and I asked her.

"Wait (Y/n) what are you doing here?"

"Collin told me about Talo going missing in the forest so I came here as fast I could so I can find you."

"(Y/n) it's not safe for you to be here it's dangerous."

(Y/n) glared at me and she then smirked at me.

"Well too late I'm here now, come on."

She grabbed my shirt and (Y/n) dragged me. When we looking for Talo we saw two more enemies.

"I've got these two."

(Y/N) said with a smirk.

"Wait a sec (Y/N)!"

I shouted and I tried to stop her. Suddenly she threw a knife at one of them and the other enemy was about to attack her then (Y/n) manages to dodge the attack and she tripped him up and she finished him off by stabbing him on the chest.

I stood there with my mouth open and I then said to her with a shocked expression on my face.

"Whoa, where did that come from?"

(Y/n) smirked and said to me.

"My father taught me how to fight besides a girl has gotta be on the defence when something like this happens."

After she defeated them we continued to look for Talo until we saw him and the monkey in a cage we rushed over to him and we both defeated the guards and then I managed to break the wooden cage and they were both free.

We were heading back to the village and Talo said to us.

"Gosh if you two didn't come, me and that monkey would've been eaten. But she is a nice gal she tried to protect me but we both got captured. Link, (Y/n) you must promise to not tell my dad he always says that we should never ever go into the forest he says it's dangerous please you've got to promise."

After he said that he ran back to the village and I said to her.

"You know we made a good team today (Y/n)"

(Y/n) smiled and she looked at me.

"Yeah we did link"

Then we heard Rusal.

"Link, (Y/n)."

Rusal came over to us and he said to us.

"My son Colin told me about Talo going missing but it would seem you two did well on bring him back."

"Yeah, we did."

"Hey have you two noticed anything different about this forest?"

Rusal asked us as he looked around.

"As a matter fact I did when I was looking for Link I ran into some strange creatures and they tried to attack me its like there's some kind of evil that's near here."

(Y/n) said as she also looked around. Rusal then said to us.

"Well there's nothing to worry about, besides, Link, tomorrow will be the day when you deliver that gift to the royal family and if you two are lucky you might get to meet Princess Zelda."

"Wait you mean (Y/N)'s coming to?"

(Y/N) smiled and nodded her head.

"Yes I am, Link, Rusal has asked me to be your guide since I know my way around castle town."

Rusal smiled at us and he said to us.

"She's right and good luck you two."
