CHAPTER: FORTY-EIGHT: I WILL KICK YOUR ASS

Police siren wailing and the sound of car horn honking was heard as Klaus lead his family to a large hotel name 'Obsidian'

They all squeezed into the same section of the spinning door, pushing and shoving each other "Oh, okay. Honestly? We don't all need to be squeezed" Allison said "There were two entrances, by the way" Five said as they all exited the spinning doors "And yet you being stupid, you take the same door" Natasha said as her and Zach took the other door.

Both Natasha and Zach looked up at the high ceiling and the lights that hung from it as Five walked over to them while holding Luna.

"Look Luna" Natasha said as she was holding Luna's tiny finger "Look" Zach said and Luna said a cute baby sound "Yeah, that is a hotel, can you say 'Hotel'?" Five asked but Luna didn't say anything over than baby sounds.

"It will come Five, we just have to patience, she have not even taking her first steps yet, it will come" Natasha said.

Klaus walked up in front of the others "Oh. Hotel Obsidian. I missed you, you slutty old dame" he said before he waved his hands while closing his eyes "Absorb her. Absorb her into your bosom" he said before he spun around to look at the others.

"You know, 'cause back in her heyday, she played host to world leaders. Roosevelt, Gandhi, Stalin, Gorbachev, Castro, King Olaf of Norway, one of the Kim Jongs, Tito, Dalai Lama, Elvis, and not one, but two Kardashians, allegedly" he said.

Allison rolled her eyes before she walked away "Wouldn't that-- Where you going?" Klaus asked her "I gotta make a call" she answered before she walked away and Klaus turned back to the others "Nowadays, she's just a flophouse, a party house for those of us not looking to be judged by society roles and norms" he said "You mean, a place to hide?" Luther said "Exactly" Klaus said as he pointed at Luther with both hands.

"It's perfect! And the best part of it is, she's gonna look after us, no questions asked. Never ever right? Come on" he gestured over to the front desk.

"I may have questions" Diego said "Yeah, me too" Luther said before they walked after Klaus "This place is weird" Vanya said as she took a moment to scan the area.

"Come on" Five said and the three walked over to the counter where the rest of the family was.

A pug was sitting on a fluffy dog bed on the front desk when Klaus and the others walked over to the counter before Klaus hit the bell.

"Chet! Mon frére!" he said as the man behind the counter walked over to them "It's so great to see you. I'd like my usual suite, por favor" Klaus said and Chet put his finger on the bell, stopping it from ringing.

"I've never seen you before" Chet said "See? Told you. Discreet" Klaus said to the others as Luther and Diego was petting the dog making it made a whimpers sound.

"Please stop scaring my dog" Chest told Luther and Diego who stopped before moving away from the dog.

"We need some rooms, please" Vanya said "Super" Chet said before he grabbed a sign saying 'Pay up front' and put it on the counter "And how will we be paying today?" he asked.

The others looked dumbfounded as they realized that they didn't have any money.

"Ah"

"Oh"

"Fine. Empty your pockets. Come on. Something" Luther said and Five gave Luna to Natasha who gave her to Zach before they all empty their pockets.

All Five had was what assume to be some teeth, Vanya had some candy, Klaus had a condom and Diego had a knife.

"Condom?" Luther asked he looked at the condoms in Klaus' hands before Luther looked at Diego's palm to see a knife "Put the knife away" Luther said to Diego as he push his hand aside.

"Can't exchange those for cash" Klaus said "Why do I have a hairnet?" Luther asked confused as he looked at the hairnet in his hand.

"Oh" he said as he realized something "All right" he said before he took off his watch "What does this get us?" he asked Chet.

"Stop" Natasha said and the others looked at her "Let me" she said before she pulled up her wallet "Beside Luther, you have already lost some brain cells, no reason to lose track of time too" Natasha said as took some money out.

"How much money is that?" Luther asked as he looked at the money in Natasha's hands.

"Guess, here's is a hint" she said before she slap Luther across the face with the money which cause Luther's face to knock a little bit to the side while Luna giggled

He then turned his head before thinking a bit while he was moving his mouth like he was tasting something.

"Enough for two rooms" he said "Enough for four" Natasha said before she turned to Chet.

"Four rooms please where one of them has a double bed, a crib and a private bathroom" she said before she put the money on the counter.

"How do you have money?" Diego asked "Well, I kept some money on me when I landed in Dallas" Natasha said.

Chet exchanged the money for four room keys before putting them on the counter "Mazel tov" he said.

"Okay, Nat, Luna and I will take the one with the double bed" Five said as he grabbed the key.

Zach gave Luna to Natasha before grabbing the other key "Come on" Klaus said as he grabbed one of the keys "All right" Allison said and grabbed the last key.

"Well, let's Brady Bunch this bitch" Klaus said "Come on" Zach said.

"Uh, meet back in the bar in two hours so we can make a plan" Five said as they all walked passed the bar "I have a plan" Diego said as he ran up ahead of them before he jump up the stairs between the elevator and his family "We attack the Sparrows, and we take back our house, and then we punch Dad a bit until he admits that we're better and he loves us more" he said but the others walked passed him to the elevator "Boom! Done! We're wasting time" Diego said to them "Relax. Don't sweat it, man" Klaus said as he patted Diego on the shoulder "Those shit birds are staying put for a while. I bet they're as wiped as we are" Klaus said as he walked into the elevator where the others were.

"Really?" Diego asked "Yeah, I mean, kicking our asses looked exhausting" Klaus said to him.

"Diego, get in the bloody elevator or you will sleep outside" Natasha said and Diego walked into the elevator before Five pressed on a button.

"Well, is this the first time you guys have gotten your asses kicked?" Zach asked "No" the siblings said "Beside there are always lessons in failures" Luther said "Yes. You must be very wise by now" Zach said causing Five and Natasha to lower their head as they let out a small smile even so they try to hide it, like the others.

"You really are Five's son" Luther said "Yeah, I get that a lot" Zach said.

Klaus opened the door to the room before stepping in "Oh. See? It's paradise. High ceilings, sense for space. Aromatic" he said as he walked farther into the room while the three others entered.

The room had a dark green oddly decorated walls and two windows.

There was a bunk bed on the left side of the room, up against the wall right next to one of the windows and two small chairs with a small table up against the one of the windows.

There was one couch and one bed, a small coffee table with four chairs around it a smaller table that was standing between two of the chairs, a small TV was standing up on a small closet and next to the closet was there a small sink with a small mirror above that was hanging on the wall.

"What the hell?" Diego asked as he looked around.

"Where's the bathroom?" Diego asked "Down the hall, or..." Klaus said before he opened a window "Nature's bathroom" he said "You're disgusting" Diego said "But consistent" Klaus said.

"Let's unpack. Settle in" Five said "Unpack? Unpack what? We don't own anything anymore" Luther said as Klaus started to pee out of the window "Yes, Luther. Isn't that liberating?" Five said "What are you, commie?" Diego asked as the sound of urine trickling was heard "No! If I wanted bunk beds and group showers, I would've stayed in the Texas nuthouse" Diego said as Klaus closed the window.

"At least they had free Jell-O" Diego said as Luther sat down on a bed causing it to made a springs creak sound "And Lila" Diego said "Jell-O!" Klaus said as he sat down on the top bunk before jumping a bit, like a little kid while Luther jump a little bit on his bed causing the bed to made another creaking sound.

"Hey, Diego. I just spent the past 20 straight days saving the world. Twice. Now I want to be a caring family father for my kids and a loving boyfriend for my girlfriend. I missed a year of my daughter's life, I missed her being brought into this world, so I would like to make up for that. So, can I get five minutes to relax, figuring all the new kinks out? Please and thank you" Five said before he turned around and walked after Natasha who had walked to her room while Zach have walked to his.

"And Dad said I'd never go to summer camp" Luther said before he chuckled "This is great" he said before he lay down on the bed.

"All right, I'm bored. Cocktail, anyone?" Klaus asked and Diego let out a grumbled as he walked to a wall before he leaned his head against it.

While Zach went in his room that was right next door, Five and Natasha who was holding Luna, stepped into the bedroom.

The room had a dark green oddly decorated walls and two windows.

There was one couch and one bed, a small coffee table with four chairs around it , a smaller table that was standing between two of the chairs.

A small TV was standing up on a small closet.

And next to the closet was there a small sink with a small mirror above that was hanging on the wall.

"Home sweet home" Natasha said "For now" Five said while Natasha walked over and put Luna in the little crib next to the bed while Five took off his shoes.

Natasha then walked over before she sat down on the bed and Five walked over to her before he stopped when he was between her legs and he put her face in his hands before he scanned her face "What are you doing?" she asked "Checking for any cuts or bruises" he said as he looked at his girlfriend, forgetting about the cut on his forehead and the blood that has caked to his skin.

"There isn't one" she said before she stood up and stroke her thumb gently over the cut on Five's forehead "How did that happen?" she asked "Jayme kicked me down the stairs" he replied "Bitch" she said.

She then kissed his forehead and he closed his eyes while she was giving him soft kisses across his skin.

"It's nothing" he said and she turned around before walking into the bathroom while Five walked over to hang his blazer on the hook.

Natasha then walked out of the bathroom with a bowl that was filled with water and a rag that was hanging on the edge of the bowl.

"Sit" she said and he sat down on the bed before she sat down next to him.

"You don't need to" he said "Yeah I do. It got to be cleaned so your brain isn't going to fall out of that cut" she said "It's not that bad. It's just a little gash" he said "I'll be the judge of that and I'm saying it is. So I still need to clean it to make sure it don't get infected" she said "It's fine, Darling" he said "Keep saying is fine and I will slap you" she said "You know your threats don't work on me Darling, they never had" he said "Never say never, Loverboy. 'Cause as I remember, they had work" she said "It was only because you actually did it" he said "Well, I had still threated you and then did it after" she said "Well the cut is fine" he said "If you don't let me clean it, there will be no cuddling and make out session for a month and you will sleep on the couch" she said and his eyes widened.

"Alright" he said with a nod before he let go of her wrist and she started cleaning his cut.

"See, told you my threat would work" she said "That's because taking away those things is worse than you punching me" he said and she chuckled.

While she was cleaning his cut, he was looking at her as pieces of his dark brown hair that fell over the right side of his forehead, right above his eye and was hitting his nose.

"You know I think you should let your hair grow a little. I think it will suit you if you let it grow a bit on the sides. And also you would look older" she said "Yeah, I think I will just let it grow a bit" he said as he stroked a piece of hair away from his face.

When she was done cleaning, Natasha put the bowl and rag in the bathroom before she she walked back to Five and he tilted his head up to her and as she kissed his forehead he closed his eyes, taking in a silence while you were pressing soft kisses across his skin.

Five then nuzzles his head into her stomach while she smiled as she wrapped her arms around him.

"I'm gonna take a shower, you care to join me?" she asked "Honey, there is a switchblade in my inner pocket if I ever say no to that question I want you to use it on me" he said and she chuckled before they went into the bathroom.

Allison and Vanya was looking around in their room.

Their room had a couch and two chairs that was standing in front of a fire place where there was a mirror above the fireplace.

The wallpaper was a dark green oddly decorated and there was also two windows.

A bed was up against a wall next to fireplace and under the window and another bed was next to the bed on the right side of the room. It was also standing up against the wall.

"It's not too small. It's definitely ugly" Allison said as the two looked around.

Vanya let out a sigh as they lay down on the beds.

"Last night, I was sleeping in my own bed next to my amazing husband" Allison said "I kissed Sissy goodbye a few hours ago. Give or take 50 years" Vanya said and Allison turned her head to look at her "I'm glad you finally found somebody that treated you right" she said with a smile.

"She saw me for who I really am. I'm not ready to give that up" Vanya said as she turned her head towards Allison a little bit.

"I feel the same about Ray. We better not have left them just to die in some superhero turf war" Allison said and Vanya looked at her "You need to go home. Hug your daughter" she said and Allison thought for a bit before she sat up.

"What if Diego's right and the Sparrows attack?" she asked "We fought the entire Commission. I mean, we can handle, what? Seven jerks in uniforms? They just caught us off guard" Vanya said while Allison looked down.

"You should go to the airport" Vanya said and Allison looked at her "And get back to your real life. I would if I could" she said.

Allison nodded before she got up and opened up her arms as she walked over to her.

Vanya got up before she opened up her arms "Thank you" Allison said as they wrapped their arms around each other "You're a good sister" Allison said before they both pulled away and she left.

Vanya lay back down on the bed and she looked out the window to see a billboard with the Sparrows on.

As she was looking at the billboard, a plan came to her, what if she could got their leader Marcus to hand them the briefcase since he was the one that let them leave.

Zach have taking off his beanie as he was sitting on his bed running his fingers through his hair.

He then lifted his head before he looked out the window and spotted a billboard with the Sparrows on.

As he stared at he billboard a thought came to his mind.

So he grabbed his beanie before he walked out of his room.

As he walked into the elevator, Vanya also entered "Hey Vanny" Zach said "Hey Zach" she said "So where are you headed?" Zach asked and Vanya let out a sigh "I have a plan, but you have to promise me not to tell anyone" Vanya said "I promise" Zach said "I'm gonna talk with Marcus about giving us back the briefcase" Vanya said and Zach looked at her "I had the same plan" Zach said and Vanya looked at him.

"You did?" she asked and he nodded "Yeah, that briefcase is powerful and it's dangerous if it ends in the wrong hands. If the Sparrows have it, it can be dangerous, so it's best if we get it back" he said "So are you with me?" she asked "I am" he said.

Zach and Vanya walked into the crowd of fans who was standing by the Academy.

The three of them looked up to see Marcus training at the edge of the Academy's rooftop.

When he was done, he looked down and that's when he noticed Zach and Vanya in the crowd of people, looking right up at him with their heads tilted a little bit.

Zach, Vanya and Marcus entered a café before they sat down with their cup of coffee.

"I'm glad we're doing this" Marcus said as he took off his gloves, before putting them on the table "Whatever happens between our two families, the Number Ones should orchestrate it" he said "I'm Number Seven, actually" Vanya said "And I don't a number. I'm Zach, son of the woman with the baby and the boy in the in schoolboy shorts" Zach said.

"Well, then somebody screwed up" Marcus said before he took a sip of his coffee "My brothers think you're gonna come after us" Vanya said and Marcus looked at her as he put down his coffee cup.

"We don't want a war. We've lost enough" Vanya said "Then you shouldn't have attacked us in our own house" Marcus said, raising his voice a little bit "Ben was the one that started it, he threw the first punch" Zach said and Marcus took a deep breath.

"Look, this isn't personal, but we're the only superhero game in town. We have this place under complete control. But if your people start taking shots at us, it will give the sheep ideas" he said and the three shook their heads "We won't. That's--" "And I'm just supposed to take your word on that?" he said, cutting Vanya off.

"For your whole family? You are not even their Number One" Marcus said as he looked at Vanya before he looked at Zach "And you are just a kid. And I'm sorry, but I can't risk that. So if you two came here to beg me not to make the next move...." Marcus said before he grabbed his gloves.

"We came to tell you ours" Zach said as he looked at Marcus "Tomorrow morning, when your busloads of fans show up, I'm gonna be there on your front lawn, and I'm gonna call you out for a fight, just you and me" Zach said and Marcus let out a scoff.

"Why?" he asked "Because your team is good. Better than ours, maybe" Zach said and Marcus let out a small chuckled "You guys are no better than ours, so this was the waste of time" Marcus said.

"Okay, I'm done playing nice" Zach said.

And as Marcus was about to move, the sound of a loud clangs was heard as a knife suddenly hit right in Marcus' left sleeve which cause Marcus and Vanya to flinch a bit.

Marcus looked at the knife that was stabbed through his sleeve and onto the table, only a few inches from his skin.

He then looked at Zach who was holding the knife "You better listen, I only miss when I want to" Zach said with a raised eyebrow.

"As I was saying, your team is good. But I don't think they are better than ours, you are not better than my parents, or me. Or Vanya" Zach said and Marcus looked at Vanya who was just staring at him calmly.

"Vanya ended the world twice" Zach said as he stared at Marcus "You are no better than me and my parents. We are the assassin family. And you?" Zach asked as he tightened the grip on the knife's handle.

"You're just meat in spandex. So you don't scare me. If you want a fight, I will fight you, but get ready to get your ass kick by a kid. I'm my father's son. I have being trained to be killer and an assassin since I was six. I have become the greatest child assassin the world has ever know. I will squash you like a bug and I will kick your ass, and I bet you don't want the whole world watching, when I prove that to you" Zach said and Marcus looked at Vanya who was sitting calmly next to Mitch while staring at him.

"You better listen to him" Vanya said with a smile.

"It's your choice" Zach said before he removed the knife and put it back in his holster.

"Zach and Vanya what do you two really want?" Marcus asked "You have something we need, and we want it back" Vanya said.

But what the three didn't know that just outside by the window of the cafe was a crow and it was looking into the café at Vanya, Zach and Marcus.

The crow flew up and towards the academy where Ben and Fei was standing on the roof.

Fei turned around and the crow flew into her back.

"He's making a deal with them" Fei said as she looked at Ben "What will you do?" she asked "I'll handle it" he said and she nodded before leaving.

Light jazz music was playing in the background as Diego, Luther and Klaus was sitting down in the lobby eating while Zach and Natasha was sitting next to them as Natasha was feeding Luna.

"You should try chewing. You might actually taste the food" Klaus said to Luther "I haven't eaten in days" Luther said "When I was six years old. I ate nicer than you two" Zach said before taking a sip of his water as Five who was wearing a white bathrobe walked over to them.

"Yeah, there is Romeo and Clyde. Now Romeo and Juliet. And Bonnie and Clyde" Klaus said as Five approached them.

"What's wrong? You look...happy" Luther said as he looked at Five "I am happy. Had a nap and a shvitz. I have a wonderful girlfriend and two beautiful kids. What does a man need?" Five asked "Brothers who don't eat like barn animals?" Klaus said causing Diego and Luther to look at him while noodles was hanging out of their mouths while Zach just rolled his eyes.

"Really guys, can't you two try to eat nicer. Did you two grow up in a barn?" Natasha said as she was feeding Luna.

"So I've been thinking through our little timeline snafu, and I'm pleased to report that in my professional, expert opinion, we are totally in the clear" Five said "Awesome" Klaus said "Huh!" Diego said "Great" Klaus said "So everything's totally fine?" Luther asked "More or less. I mean, there is one...small thing" Five said "It's nothing we can't manage" Natasha said and the others sighed before they waited for the couple to say more.

But they didn't say anything as he got ready to eat "So spit it out, lovebirds!" Diego said out loud with his mouth full with food.

"Fine, Diego, it's like this. Dad didn't adopt us as babies, but those babies still existed here" Five said "Aww!" Klaus said "We just grew up in different places with different people" Five said "So?" Diego asked.

"So where are they now? Odds are, we each have identical versions of ourselves walking around out there, living completely different lives" Five said and Luther gasps "Our doppelgängers!" he said with widened eyes "That's a made-up word" Klaus said "No, no! I learned all about this in Texas. Tell them about the paranoid psychosis, Five" Luther said "Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa! I though you said this wasn't a problem" Diego said "Okay, yes, technically, if you're near your doppel for long, you'll go insane. So, if you see your other self--" Five said but got cut off by Diego and Klaus "Kill them" Diego said "Sleep with them" Klaus said at the same time.

"Avoid them" Natasha, Zach and Five said with a concern voice "What the hell is wrong with you two?" Luther asked as he was looking between Diego and Klaus "Come on. As if you wouldn't climb Luther Mountain" Klaus said as he was looking at Luther.

"I wouldn't. 'Cause that's weird and gross" Luther said "And being in love with your sister isn't?" Zach asked "Adopted" Luther said and Natasha let out a chuckled.

"Does everything has to be a fight with you Diego?" Zach asked before he looked at Klaus "And why is sex the only thing you have in mind?" Zach asked.

"Come on Nat, there is another version of Five as an adult out there" he said "So?" Natasha asked "So, you told me that Five was hot as an adult" Klaus said "Yean and you are still with him" Luther said.

"Okay, shut it both of you" Five said "What?" Natasha asked as she looked at Five "Are you jealous?" she asked and he looked at her "No" he said "You are jealous over that I will drop you for an older version of you?" she asked "No" he said "You don't have to worry about anything, Sweety. You are my only Five" Natasha said "And you are my only Nat" he said and she smiled as he kissed her cheek which she returned.

"Wait. How are we supposed to guarantee we don't cross path with ourselves?" Diego asked "Easy. We're the Benetton ad of superheroes, born all around the world until Dad brought us here, which he no longer did. Doppels probably aren't even in the same time zone as us" Five said "That's true" Natasha said.

"What about Natasha?" Diego asked "She is not even from here, she is from Russia" Five said "So we don't have to worried about another version of me unless we suddenly decide to move to Russia or she moves here, but I doubt it" Natasha said "Okay" Diego said "We'll just have to figure it out. I haven't seeing anything yet, but if you guys see something out of the ordinary, you tell Five, Zach or me" Natasha said "Alright" Klaus said.

"Would you pass the moo shu?" Zach asked.

Then a knife hit Diego's chair and he turned around to see Lila with blonde hair and a briefcase in her hand.

"I'll be right back" Diego said before running after her.

"The point is, we did it. We saved the world. We stopped the apocalypse. And made it home safe in time for dinner. So whatever Dad changed, whatever timeline we're in now...we can handle it" Five said.

"We won" Zach and Natasha said before the two and Five lifted their glass "We won" Luther said "Yeah" Klaus said "All right" they all said before the five of them cheered.

"So that means that an adult Natasha is out there, maybe she is with one of the Sparrows" Klaus said "No. There is only one timeline where she is with a Hargreeves and that Hargreeves is me" Five said as he pointed on himself and Natasha chuckled before she continued to feed Luna.

"Can I?" Five asked as he looked at Natasha who was feeding Luna "Of course" she said before giving the spoon to him.

Five grabbed the spoon before he started feeding Luna "Here comes the airplane Luna Bear" he said before making the sound a plane makes as he moved the spoon like a plane before putting it in Luna's mouth.

"Okay, you are natural to that" Klaus said "You guys did remember that my dad have done that before, when I was a kid" Zach said "I thought Natasha was doing all that work" Klaus said "No" Five and Natasha said "We took turns" Natasha said.

Diego ran down the hallway, trying to look for Lila, he turned around a corner to find her standing with her back leaned against the wall and her legs crossed.

She turned her head to look at him "Hello, lover" she said "Holy shit" Diego said as he step forward "You really came back" he said "You miss me already?" she asked "That's too bad. I'm not here to stick around. I'm just doing a quick little drop-off" she said "Of what?" Diego asked and Lila stepped aside to reveal a young boy standing behind her.

"Our son. Diego, meet Stan" Lila said and Diego's eyes widened.

Lila then looked at Stan before she push him a little bit with her hand "Say hello, Stanley!" she said and Stan looked at Diego "Hello, Stanley" Stan said.

"Wait. What?" Diego asked confused as Lila picked up the briefcase before she turned around to the elevator door.

"Hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, this is--" Diego said as he ran up to her before he put his hand on her shoulder.

Lila turned around before they both looked at Stan "Hey, this is...It's joke, right?" Diego asked "That your boys can swim fast? Yeah" she said with a chuckled "Joke's on me there. I've had Stan for 12 years" she said and he looked at Stan.

Lila put her hand on Diego's chin before she turned his head to look at her as the elevator's bell ding.

"It's time for you to do your part" she said as the elevator door opened "Have fun bonding" she said and she let go of him as she turned to the side "Be good for Mommy" she said as she was looking at Stan while she stepped into the elevator before the door closed.

"So..." Stan said causing Diego to look at him "Do you got any food?" Stan asked.

Five who was carrying a sleeping Luna in his arms walked into the bedroom with Natasha following behind.

"I think we have to teach your brothers how to eat nicely" she said as she closed the door after them "Yeah" Five said as he walked over to the crib.

"There you go Luna Bear" he said as he gently and slowly put a sleeping Luna in her crib.

Natasha then walked over to stand next to Five who was watching Luna sleeping.

"Is she breathing?" Five asked "You gotta relax, Honey. She's breathing" Natasha said as she put her hand on her boyfriend's back "Okay" she said "Maybe we should wake her up, just to be sure" he said said and she chuckled.

"She will be fine" she said before she grabbed his hand "Come, let's go to bed" she said before lead him to the bed.

Five took off his bathrobe while Natasha took off her shirt before they both lay down on the bed, pulling the sheet over them.

The two lay on their side to look at each other and Five stroke his hand down Natasha's cheek "How did I end up with this amazing life?" he said "I'm asking myself that question everyday. Thank you for everything you have giving me. A family" she said "Thank you for everything you have giving me" he said.

"I love you" she said "I love you too" she said before they shared a kiss.

Natasha then lay her head on his chest while he wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tight before they both closed their eyes, drifting off to sleep.
