CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE: THE FAMILY IS BACK TOGETHER

Natasha opened her eyes to the early morning sun shining into the bedroom.

She turned around to see Five laying next to her, fast asleep, a piece of his hair in front of his face was hitting his nose. He looked so peaceful.

She smiled before she closed her eyes again.

But just a few minutes later, she could feel someone kissing her on the cheek "Good morning Love" Five said and she smiled "Are you awake?" he asked and she shook her head.

He then kissed her collarbone "How about now?" he asked "No" she said as she shook her head and he smiled as he remove some piece of her hair before he started kissing her left shoulder.

She smiled before she grabbed him and flipped him over so he was under her "Got you" she said with a smile and he smiled before he grabbed her and flipped her over so she was under him.

"Never celebrate too early" he said and she smiled "So you are awake now?" he asked and she nodded "Good" he said before he pressed his lips against hers.

She smiled as they both sunk deep into the kiss. They have both missed this so much.

Their hands then moved to their collar and they slowly started to pull down their shirt.

But then they heard Luna crying through the baby monitor which cause them to pull away.

"I will get her" Five said before he got up and left the bedroom to go to the nursery that was right next to the bedroom.

Natasha got up and she walked into the nursery to see Five holding Luna, comforting her "There there Luna Bear, I'm here" he said as he comfort his daughter "Did you had a nightmare, I have them too. Someday I will explain them to you. Why they came? Why they wouldn't go away? How you can make them appear not so often?" Five said as he was looking down at the toddler who was looking right back at him with her big eyes "I'll tell you how I survive it...I will make a list in my head. Of all the good things I have seeing someone do. Every little thing I can remember" he said and Luna then wrapped one of her fingers around Five's pinkey which cause him to smile.

Natasha smiled at the sight. Sometimes it was really hard for her to get Luna to calm down when she was crying, but it was like Five didn't had any trouble with it which make Natasha believe that Luna was a daddy's girl.

"Good morning" Zach said as he walked over to stand next to his mom who was standing by the doorframe to the nursery "Good morning" Natasha said and Zach looked into the nursery to see his dad holding Luna.

"I have a feeling that Luna is gonna be a daddy's girl when she gets older" Zach said "I think she already is, just like you were a mommy's boy when you were younger" Natasha said and Zach rolled his eyes.

Five then turned around to see Natasha and Zach looking at him with a smile "Good you are up, let's go" he said "Yeah, we have a world to save and an apocalypse to stop" Zach said "Which is why we have no time to waste" Five said "Then let's go" Natasha said.

When the family stepped into the Elliott's apartment they saw Luther standing in a robe in the kitchen while he was making some scrambled eggs for breakfast.

"Hey uncle Luther" Zach said as he step into the kitchen "Hey Zach" Luther said and Zach walked over to get some coffee.

Then Natasha enter the kitchen "Glad you finally decided to help us" she said "Did someone kick you out and you only came here because you had no other places to go?" Zach asked "I can see you two have not changed" Luther said "How long have you being here?" Natasha asked "He came here last night, I found him passed out in the chair with Elliott" Diego said.

"Good Luther, you are here" Five said as he enter the kitchen holding Luna.

"Yeah, I thought---" Luther said but stop himself when he Five saw holding a toddler "What the hell Five, did you kidnap a baby?" Luther asked "Nope, she is my daughter" Five said "Like you adopted her?" Luther asked "No. The flower and the bee" Five said and Luther looked at Natasha "I was pregnant when I landed here and I was here for a year and nine months. So Luther, that's Five's daughter, your niece. Luna Grace Hargreeves-Romanoff" she said "Yeah, Luther we have becomes uncles once again" Diego said as he patted Luther on the shoulder.

"Oh no, three Fives now, I can barely handle two, now there is three" Luther said "Relax Luther, she is just a toddler, but just wait till she reach her teen years, 'cause I have a feeling that she is gonna be just like Five" Natasha said "Oh God" Luther said.

Natasha then walked over to Five before taking Luna out of his arms and into hers.

She then walked over to Luther "This is your niece" she said and Luther looked at Luna "Okay, she is really cute" Luther said before he bend down a little bit so he was in eye level with Luna "Hey, little one, I'm your uncle Luther" he said as he stretched his thumb towards Luna who grabbed it before she said a little cute baby sound.

"She is adorable" Luther said "Thanks" Five and Natasha said "She don't look like Five at all" Luther said "Just wait till she gets older" Natasha said.

"Shall we get started?" Diego asked "Okay" Five said before he walked over and took Luna out of Natasha's arms.

He then walked over before he sat down on a chair by the kitchen table, putting Luna on his lap, holding her so she wouldn't fall off.

"No, no, no, I don't understand. They keep following me" Diego said as Zach was standing leaning against a wall with one hand in his pocket and my other hand was holding a yellow mug while Natasha was sitting across from Five by the kitchen table. 

"Wait, who?" Luther asked not looking up from pan in front of him "Those Dutch sociopaths" Diego said "They're Swedish, you idiot" Natasha said "They're hired guns paid to eradicate us before we do any more damage to this timeline" Five said "It's a little late for that" Zach said and Diego turned to Five "Yeah, but why now? I mean, I was..." he said snapping his fingers "Fine for three months until you showed up" he said, pointing a finger at his brother.

"It's not my dad's fault. Time travel is really complicated" Zach said "It is his fault. I was here for a year and no one messed with me" Luther said and looked at Five while Diego put his arms out and Natasha and Zach rolled their eyes "Ungrateful idiots" they mumbled under their breath.

They were both getting annoyed that Diego and Luther was blaming Five for what have happen, instead of thanking him for saving their lives three times already.

"Zach and I was here for over a year and we don't mind Five showing up, actually we were beyond happy that he showed up" Natasha said "So was I" Five said as he was bouncing his left leg up and down a little bit which cause Luna to let out a small giggled and Five smiled as he grabbed her tiny hands and Luna started playing with her dad's fingers which 'cause Five to smile even more.

"Liste, even if it was my fault, which it isn't, we only have six days before the end of the world, and the closest anyone's gotten to Dad was that driveway at the consulate" he said.

"Well" Luther said before he let out a sigh "That's not exactly ture" he said and they looked over at him.

"What do you mean?" Five asked "I saw him" Luther said before he began to tell the story about after he landed in the alley, he took a bus and went a long way to the academy. How he got inside and people were in the living room, gathered in circle around Reginald. How he told Reginald that he was his son. But Reginald said that Luther wasn't his son. Luther then explained to Reginald how he had adopted seven children in 1989. Luther had then tried to convinced Reginald by telling him that he knew about the base on the moon and Reginald's experiments with monkeys. Reginald had then humiliated him.

"That's pathetic" Diego said as Luther sat down at the table where Diego was sitting "Yeah, well, at least he didn't shank my ass" Luther said as he began eating the scrambled eggs "No, bro, he shanked your heart" Diego said from his seat that was across from where Natasha was sitting.

"So what are you whining about?" Zach asked "I'm not whining" Luther said "Your lips are moving and you're complaining about something. That's whining" Zach said before he pointed on Five "My dad was in the apocalypse for years. Have being through shit and pain. Almost died many times. You don't hear him bitching about it" he said and Luther rolled his eyes. 

While still holding Luna, Five got up before he walked over Zach "Here take her" he said and Zach nodded before he grabbed Luna.

Five then grabbed the first aid-kit before he sat down next to Natasha. 

He then turned her head so she was looking at him "What are you doing?" she asked "Just checking you don't have any cut or bruises from last night" he said "I'm fine Five, really" she said and Five remove his hands before he grabbed her left left arm causing her to furrow her brows as he opened the first aid-kit.

"What are you doing?" she asked as he grabbed slowly and gently the bandage before he started unraveling it.

"You don't need to" she said "Yeah I do, it can get infected" he said as he continued cleaning the cut.

Then Elliott walked into the kitchen "Is that my bathrobe?" he asked as he was looking at Luther "No" Luther said with his mouth full as he was looking at Elliott.

"Look, who cares what he shanked? He knows something about time travel" Five said as he was slowly and gently rubbing the rag that was drip in peroxide on the cut.

He then grabbed some clean bandage before he wrapped it around the part of the arm where the cut was.

He then grabbed a pair of scissors before he cut the wrapped and tucked it into a part of the wrap.

"Um...Wait, why don't you just do your thing and, uh, time trave us out?" Elliott asked and Five let out a scoffed before getting up "Anyone care to explain" he said "First time he tried, he got lost in the apocalypse" Luther said as he stared at Five who walked over to the sink.

"Second time, he ended up without hair on his balls" Diego said "And I ended up in my 17-year-old body when I went with him" Natasha said before she got up and walked over to the sink.

"Last time I tried, I scattered my family across three years in Dallas, Texas, possibly triggering a doomsday" Five said as he poured himself a cup of coffee before he turned to Elliott "Anymore questions, Elliott?" he asked and Elliott shook his head "Uh, no" he said.

Five then poured some coffee down in Natasha's mug "Thanks Honey" she said "You're welcome my love" Five said before he kissed her cheek.

"You're missing the big picture. Dad is the ringleader of a sinister cabal that's planning to kill the president" Diego said "A cabal?" Luther asked "Ignore him" Five said before he turned around to his brothers "Look, the way I see it, we only have one option" he said "Oh, yeah? And what's that?" Luther asked "It's time to get the Umbrella Academy back together" Five answered.

"Hell, yeah. Family meeting" Diego said "Okay then, can one of you get Allison, please?" Luther asked before eating another spoonful with eggs. 

"You two still a thing?" Diego asked, looking at Luther who tilted his head and Diego leaned forward "Do we need to talk?" he asked "No, she's married" Luther said "Woah. Dude, that's rough" Diego said "I can handle it" Luther said and chuckled before eating another spoonful with eggs.

"You are not happy?" Natasha asked "No" Luther said "Yay" she said with a smile "That sucks for you" she said "It most amuses you to see me sad?" Luther asked "It is. Love it" she said "Me too" Zach said.

"I'll get her" Five said as he put down his mug and looked at Natasha and Zach "You two stay here with Luna" he said and they nodded.

Five then looked at Luther "Can you get Vanya without, uh, squeezing her to death?" he said "I'll try" Luther said.

Five then walked over to Luna who Zach was holding "See you soon, Luna Bear, daddy will be right back" he said and Luna wrapped one of her tiny fingers around Five's pinky "Don't worry, I will be right back" he said before kissing her cheek.

Five then walked over to his girlfriend "I will be right back" he said before he gave Natasha a quick kiss.

He then blink away.

"I don't get what you see in him" Diego said "And I don't get what you see in Lila" Natasha said as she looked at Diego "But sometimes people do things others don't understand" she said.

"Wait! D--Uh...What should I do?" Elliott asked "Prepare for company" Diego said.

Lila entered The Handler's hotel room before she slammed the door shut.

"Did you set me up?" she asked angry as she looked at The Handler "Sweetie, really?" The Handler said "Those Nordic shitwits? You said they were Commission. You said they were on our side. Well, I was in the process of executing our mission, my mission that you gave me, and they got in the way" Lila said "Oh, my" The Handler said "And now my cover's blown. Five wants to kill me, there is no way to get Luna now, 'cause both her parents and big brother wants to kill me and I don't know what the hell it is you're after" Lila said.

The Handler looked up at Lila "Did you bring me what I asked for?" she asked and Lila took out Diego's knife from her dress before she threw it on the table "Here. Diego's knife" she said.

"Sit" The Handler said as she picked up the knife "No" Lila said "Yes, you're bleeding, and all that rage is bad for your complexion. Sit" The Handler said as she put the knife back on the table.

"Fine, but I'm not done being mad at you" Lila said as she sat down on the couch next to The Handler "You're right" The Handler said as she got up and she picked up a small bottle with alcohol before she sat down next to Lila "I have been lying to you" she said before she poured some alcohol on the cut on Lila's arm "Commission...has no idea...that we're here" she said "So, what are we doing here?" Lila asked as The Handler started cleaning her cut with a rag "We are...making something right...that has been wrong for a very, very long time" she said before she got up and grabbed a bandage "Just about done with your riddles, Mum" Lila said as The Handler walked back to the couch and sat down next Lila before she covered Lila's cut.

"Oh, are you just about done now? You're done a couple missions, now you know everything? Huh? Is that it? Huh? Big Lila, all in charge, not trusting her mother, her mother who yanked her out of that horrid little slum, her mother who rescued her from those gin-addled, neglectful parents, her mother who taught her how to live, how to love, how to survive?" The Handler asked "You just said you lied" Lila said "You lied to them and they lied to me and everybody lies to everyone else. Grow up, buttercup" The Handler said before she slapped the bandage on Lila's arm "Ow" Lila said and The Handler sighed.

"If I thought you needed to know the truth, I would've told you the truth, but you didn't, and so I didn't, and everything worked out just fine" The Handler said "No, it hasn't. I lost Five, Natasha and Zach" Lila said "Are they dead?" The Handler asked "No. But he kicked me out of his merry little band" Lila answered.

Lila then noticed something on The Handler's forehead "Uhg. Your wound is weeping" she said "Oh" The Handler said as Lila gave her a tissue "Oh, my dear, that...that's not a problem at all" The Handler said as she hold the tissue to her forehead "Why no?" Lila asked "Well, because..." The Handler said as she got up before walking over to a table "I have a very busy scheduled for us" she said with a smile.

Some Jell-O that Elliott had made was standing on the coffee table as Diego, Luther, Natasha, Zach and Vanya were all sitting in the living around the coffee table while Elliott was talking about Jell-O.

"Y'all know, Jell-O used to be delicacy. You know, in order to make it, you gotta boil down a whole mess of hooves...you know, horse, cows, pigs, it doesn't matter. But not everybody has a mess of hooves just lying around. It wasn't until, uh...a couple of sassy New Yorkers figured out how to dry it out so that the rest of us could have a...a chance to enjoy this ambrosia" Elliott said "If we have some, will you shut up?" Diego asked "Maybe" Elliott said before he picked up a spoon and a bowl for Diego "Here" he said, scooping up a large portion for him causing Luther to make a weird face in disgust "Yeah, I'm not eating that" Zach said.

"How are you feeling?" he asked as he turned to look at Vanya, trying to get his attention away from the food.

"Pretty shitty, to be honest" Vanya said "Where would you say you are on a scale from one to....ending all life on this planet?" Diego asked as he was flipping his knife with his hand.

"Really Diego?" Natasha asked "Really?" Vanya asked, looking at him and Luther leaned forward a bit "Diego, put the knife away, you idiot. She's fine" he said "The last time I saw this one. She had me suspended midair, sucking the life out of me with energy tentacles" he said before he pointed his knife at Luther "I think I'm allowed a little time to process" he said as he leaned forward.

"Oh, I would love to see an energy tentacle" Elliott said "I don't remember what I did, but I'm sorry...if...if that means anything" Vanya said "It does" Diego said as he placed his arm back down on the armchair "Just going through a lot right now. There's this...girl that I like. I thought she liked me, but turns out that she's..." "Just tell how you feel" Natasha said "Are you sure that would work?" he asked as he look at her "It work with Five, so why wouldn't it work with you?" Natasha said.

Then the sound of a door opening and the sound of Allison letting out a laugh.

"Oh, thank God" Luther said before they all got up "Is anyone here? Hello?" Allison said as you all walked over to the railing "Le petit mort, le petit mort" Klaus said "What? You don't speak French" Allison said "It's 'the little death'" Klaus said.

Natasha, Zach, Diego, Vanya, Luther and Elliott all walked over to the railing before they looked down to see Five with Klaus and Allison.

"Oh, wow. Look at this old stuff" Klaus said before the three looked up to see Diego, Vanya, Luther, Natasha, Zach and Elliott at the top of the stairs by the railing.

"Oh, wow. I know this is impossible, but...did we all get sexier?" Klaus asked and waved up at them.

"Vanya" Allison said, looking up at Vanya "I can't believe I have a sister" Vanya said with a smile before she, Diego, Zach, Natasha and Luther all walked down the stairs, meeting the three.

"Hey sis" Klaus said as he looked at Natasha "Hey Klaus" she said and he then looked at Zach "Zach look at you, you are handsome as hell" Klaus said as he wrapped his arms around Zach. "Well, I haven't really changed other than age, I was here for a year and nine months, so I'm almost 17" he said.

"I missed you" Allison said, looking at Vanya "Thank God someone did" Vanya said before she chuckled softly and Allison chuckled before Vanya put her arms out, taking a step forward before the two hugged each other.

Klaus put his hands on Diego's face while Diego put his hand on the side of Klaus' neck "Oh, you are drunk" Diego said "Yeah. No, just a little...just a few..." Klaus said before he turned to Allison and Vanya who was still hugging "Oh, that's so sweet" Klaus said as he walked over to them "No. Jesus" Allison said while Vanya giggled as he wrapped his arms around them.

"Hi" Vanya said "Hey, Vanny" Klaus said and kissed her on the top of her head.

Five then looked at Klaus "Klaus. Is Ben here?" he asked "Oh, uh...no. No, unfortunately, ghosts can't time travel" Klaus said.

"All right, then. Let's get down to business" Five said "So, Vanny, what's new?" Klaus asked as he followed Vanya upstairs.

"Hey, Diego" Allison said, looking at Diego who just turn to her "Can't say hi to nobody?" she asked "Hi, Allison" Diego said annoyed before he walked upstairs "What was that?" Allison said "Hi, Allison!" Diego said louder "Thank you!" she said.

"Okay, before we start, there is someone I want you to meet" Five said before he looked at Natasha "Where is she?" he asked "In the guestroom, I think she is awake" Natasha said and Five nodded before he blinked into the guestroom.

"What is it?" Klaus asked "You will see" Zach said. 

Then Five walked out of the bedroom, holding a little toddler in his arms.

"What the hell Five, did you steal a baby?" Klaus asked as he looked at Five who enter the living room.

"If you want a baby so bad, you have a girlfriend who can give you one, right?" Klaus asked.

"Guys, this is Luna, my daughter" Five said as he stopped in front of Allison and Klaus whose eyes widened.

Allison and Klaus looked at Natasha "I was pregnant when I landed here a year and nine months ago" Natasha said "Oh my god" Klaus said before him and Allison walked over to Five who was holding Luna in his arms.

"She is so cute" Vanya said "She is adorabel" Allison said "She is a cutiepie" Klaus said as him, Vanya and Allison was over to say hello to the new member of the family.

"I can't believe that Five, our little psycho mister grumpy pants, have become a father again. She don't look like you at all Five, so 99% must be from Natasha" Klaus said and Five rolled his eyes.

"Congratulations" the three said "Thanks" Five and Natasha said with a smile.

"Can we hold her?" Klaus asked and Five looked at Natasha, she could see that he was being very overprotected right now.

She nodded and he looked back at Klaus "Okay, but be careful" he said before he slowly and gently passed Luna to Klaus "Careful" Five said. 

One by one, the siblings gets to hold little Luna except Luther who was scared he would squeezed the little one with his monkey arms.
