The next morning I was in the basement shifting through my various projects I had done in the past. I had painted some fairies with water color paints. Then some Forrest and meadow settings in a normal setting and abstract form using acrylics and oils. I did wolves in more abstract forms with inks. Then I painted one of my shifter bear friends with oil paints. I had some stain glass work that I had done. I been working on a sketch of the triplets for a Christmas gift for mom and dad. I have an origami swan from a class project and will admit I did not care for making that form of art. We had to do a self portrait that I sketched with charcoal. Then I had started messing with clay, but with the move here it did not get to far. Though you could tell it was a wolf. (Well maybe looked more like a German shepherd, but someday I might finish it.)

Elder Daisy rung the doorbell at 10:00am. I went running up the stairs from the basement. I saw Addy, the new housekeeper was answering the door. I quickly caught my breath and Mom grabbed my hand, "calm down and breath. I know your excited." Then we stood in the hall by the steps while Addy brought Elder Daisy, Luna Pettit and someone I did not know.

I quickly said, "hello, thank you for coming."

Elder Daisy looked at us, "Beta Sheets thank you for saying it was ok to bring two guest. We met at the barbecue the other day. I am Elder Daisy Stevens. Alpha Pettit is running late. The meeting he had this morning was still going on, but he will be here along with your husband as soon as he can. He would be the pack sponsor if we vote to sponsor you.

Luna Pettit said, "yes an alpha's work is never done. As Luna I run the extra curricular programs for our youth through the center. Elder Daisy was saying we should look into sponsoring from the youth center."

"My name is Tammy Glassco. I am the part time art teacher at the high school. Elder Daisy suggested I come also to this meetup. She said you had filled out an application for Supernatural Art Contest based on recommendations from your art teacher from your old pack. We would need to move quickly to get this pack behind you to make the deadline for round one application and references is in 4 weeks."

"Mom did not tell me you all were coming. What do you want to see first? The application? The reference letters? Or some of the art items I set up?"

"Emily, you are forgetting your manners. Please let me take your coats and we can set them on the chair here in the Living Room.  Would you like a drink?"

Just then we hear the front door open and I hear dad call out, "sweetheart, the alpha and I are here." They walk to where we are and all but Dad and Luna bow their heads to him. "Have you shown your art yet Em?"

"Not yet. We just were setting  their rain coats over the chairs and offering drinks."

Elder Daisy said, "I was going to suggest we go look at the art. Then when we come back up we can have drinks and discuss applications and references."

Alpha Pettit said, "that sounds like a plan. So where is the art at?"

I spoke up, "I spent this morning unboxing a few items down in the basement.  Please follow me. Mom and Dad- can you stay up here. I am working on a gift down there for you and it's been unboxed." They nod and the others follow me down stairs. I take them to the area I set up. "How do you want me to do it? Explain it or just let you look?"

Elder Daisy replies, "why don't you go upstairs and this way we can freely evaluate your pieces. When done we will head ups stairs to discuss it with you."

"Ok. I will be upstairs." I turn to go up and stop and turn around. "There is a drawing I am doing of when my brothers were born. Please don't discuss that one. I am sketching photos of all of a children as babies for mom and dad's Christmas gift." I then walk upstairs.

I then start pacing the living room as I wait for them to return.  Addy looked at me and said, "Emily can you grab the tea tray and ice bucket for me." I went and grabbed them and brought them to her. "Please fill up the ice bucket while I bring these sandwiches upstairs for your siblings." She then carried a tray upstairs. Then a few minutes later she came down and I was placing various sandwiches on a platter. She grabbed another platter and placed vegetables on it as she sliced them up. We soon had the island full of food. She set up that we could have hot or ice tea. It was a very nice set up.

She also set up a fruit and desert table. I was amazed with all she did. I leaned over and gave her a hug, "Addy thank you so much. I was not expecting all this."

"This is my job. I am to help the family. Your mom told me how important it was for you. I moved all your paperwork to the coffee table in the living room. Go place napkins and silverware on the table. It will be 7 people correct? You, your parents, alpha, Luna, Elder and the teacher?"

"You are here so it will be 8."

"No, I will leave when in a few minutes. I will take a basket of food and drink to meet my mate, Mike. My pups: Kyle and Jack are upstairs with your brothers  playing. Part of the deal is the nanny watches my pups too. If you don't need anything else then I will go eat lunch with him. Just leave the dishes. I will clean up after I come back. Good luck."

She takes off. Mom and Dad are sitting in the living room and I join them. They were down stairs a little over 2 hours. Then they came up. The alpha said, "I need to clean up. We got a few more examples of your art out to look at them. Excuse us why we wash." Then they headed to the half bath.

When they came back Elder Daisy said, "We won't keep you in suspense until after lunch. We all will be your sponsors."

I jump up and squeal and run and give each of them a hug and kept saying, "thank you."

Moms says, " please join us. We have it set up as a Buffett. Let's enjoy our meal and then will take care of the paperwork."

After we had an enjoyable meal we went to the living room. I gave them the references and application. The Alpha said, "I am going to sign below where your other alpha signed. I looked up the information about the contest. Then contacted the head judge. You will have duel pack sponsorship and school sponsorship. Your last teacher nominated you so she has to be on the application. Plus we will list down each sponsor. There is a $250 application fee which the two packs have decided to split. We will complete this application and I am having your father fly to personally deliver. He will leave right after we get the papers all signed. He will get a signed receipt. One of the complaints last year was a couple students applications they said never arrived. I don't want that to happen with you."

Elder Daisy says, "Once they accept your application Mrs Glassco will be sent a list of what you will need to do. Then Mrs. Glassco who sign as the secondary teacher. She has to verify each piece you do is your own work. She will take pictures of you in various stages of each creation and submit by various deadlines they give. If she cannot break free to take pictures and sign off then I will do it. We will get a power of attorney paper for me to do that for her tomorrow before I head to work."

"What exactly will the sponsors have to do?" I asked.

Alpha Pettit adds, "There job will be to sponsor an art show for you and promote your work. Plus Elder Daisy is setting up a private studio space at the commons for you. Since you are a Senior you will spend half your day at school. Then eat lunch and head over to the commons to work in your studio for the afternoon. As a pack we will arrange for you to get a ride to the commons during the school days. Elder Daisy will make sure you get a ride home each night Tuesday- Friday. The commons is closed on Sunday and Mondays. If not a ride then two warriors will escort you there to run."

"Thank you so much," I reply.

Congratulations, and now it is time to take our leave." He then stands and picks up all the papers. "I will make sure you gets a copy of each paper.  Plus will send a copy to each sponsor on the application. Matthew go pack a bag and meet me in my office within an hour."
