This is a short story I'm working on right now and I'm wondering if any of you would read this.

It was dark the day they came like a whisper in the night. My people had betrayed me. So I welcomed them with a warm embrace. The way he looked at me through his inky black eyes was the kindest I'd ever been looked at.

Everything was perfect. I was living in a dream. I was finally wanted. I had left my people behind to live among the stars.

The last time he looked at me was with more fury and spite than anyone of my kind could have mustered. He knew.
