Finally I am writing the prequel to my main series! XD

Here's a preview:

"You don't seem to follow me when I do my rounds, but otherwise you are like a dog at my heels. Why is that?" The great rust colored dragon said, casually scanning the face of the small pale green one.

Leif shuddered for a moment, before avoiding the Empress' piercing gaze.

"Speak your mind, child. I wouldn't have made you my second if I had planned on executing you anytime soon." the Empress stated with a curt nod.

The smaller green dragon sighed. "It's just... I don't like going by the dungeons." she said, lowering her eyes.

"I suppose the moans of the prisoners can be a bit...annoying at times. But they deserve their punishments so it shouldn't bother you. Those who have made it in there have done unspeakable things, or otherwise caused harm to those around them." the Empress said nonchalantly, almost in a bored manner.

"Even the children?" Leif asked

"There are no children in the dungeon, I can assure you." The Empress replied, the scales on the back of her neck prickling. "And if there were children in there..." She continued with a long pause. "...They would have earned it."

"Oh..." Leif replied, cringing slightly.
