"THIS WON'T BE THE LAST TIME WE SEE EACH OTHER. I PROMISE."

RESISTANCE BASE, ILLENIUM SYSTEM-

The Resistance base was filled with hurried and chaotic movement as Kyra stepped out into the bright daylight of the base again. The Resistance fleet was preparing for its mission, pilots running in their jumpsuits to their ships as mechanics made adjustments to the jets. Crews seemed to be running to and fro, filling up every available X-Wings that they could with fuel and resources necessary to the battle. It was something that Kyra had never experienced before, the rush to save others rather than destroy them.

Walking down through the concrete runway of the Resistance base, Kyra's feet seemed to be leading her away from where the Millenium Falcon was landed and towards all of the X-Wings. She stared at the commotion around her, unsure of her place in it all.

As she neared a black X-Wing, Poe appeared in front of her, ducking down across the nose at the ship to flash a smile at her. "Shouldn't you be on the Falcon?" He questioned, her eyes falling straight on him. "BB-8 said that you're really the one that knows how to get onto that base, and you're what we're relying on to get the shield down."

"I decided it was worth a visit to come and say goodbye to BB-8 before I left." Kyra grinned, looking down at the small BB unit who had lowered himself down from his position in the X-Wing to come and watch the interaction between Poe and Kyra.

"Oh, just BB-8, huh?" Poe chuckled, seeing his droid beep something out too rapidly for him to comprehend at Kyra. The young woman let out a chuckle at whatever BB-8 said before turning back to him with a wider smile. "That's it?"

"Okay, so maybe I also wanted to see you before we all left. Sue me." Kyra threw her hands up in fake exasperation, earning a loud laugh from Poe. The genuine smile that lit up her face was something that made her happy, and she was pretty sure that it made Poe as well.

"You're going to miss this stupid mug that much, Space Girl?" Poe fired back, recalling their earlier conversation on the same landing field. "Because, I gotta say, if that's the case, I'm honored to be thought about in the lovely Princess Kyra Ceydea's head." He teased, giving a mock bow before her.

"Shut it." Kyra hit him lightly, the banter between the two coming easily to her. There was something about having Poe around her that just made her feel happy, like she was back home on Sorgan when she was a child. It was a feeling of home. "I'm not a princess."

"Mm-" Poe cocked his head to the side, squinting his eyes at her as he pretended to assess her, trying to see if she was a princess. "Hate to break it to you, Kyra, but you definitely look like one. From the stories my mother told me, princesses of the galaxy were stubborn, stunning, and sassy. And unfortunately for you, you fit all of those three categories to a t."

"Wha-hey!" Kyra's cheeks turned bright pink when Poe spoke, wanting to hit him again. She refrained this time, giving a sigh. "Alright, so maybe those categories do fit me. But if you even consider calling me a princess, ever, I swear I will only talk to BB-8 for as long as I live."

"You can't talk to him without talking to me, Space Girl." Poe teased, putting his pointer finger under her chin, Kyra stubbornly trying to look only down at BB-8, who was rather enjoying the banter between Poe and Kyra. Poe turned her head to make direct eye contact with him, the young woman turning a deeper shade of pink as she did so.

Kyra cleared her throat, unsure of what to say next. This was all uncharted territory for her. Having this sort of airy feeling in her chest followed by waves of elation was something she had never felt before. How the hell was she supposed to even deal with this?

"I'm going to miss this." Poe interrupted Kyra's thoughts, dropping his finger on her chin as the young woman's expression molded into confusion. "The banter." He started to explain, seeing the puzzled look on Kyra's face. "The ability to be able to be by your side and know that I finally can see you here with the Resistance. The fact that you're safe here. All of it."

"We're going to be back here before we know it." Kyra chuckled, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear with a nervous blush. "It's just another one of our missions that we're so used to going on, you know?" She tried to console Poe, seeing the nervous look in his eyes. "Besides, I thought Resistance pilots like you are normally supposed to be fearless in these types of situations."

"Normally, yes." Poe sighed, his voice wavering as he exhaled. "But this mission? I just got you back, Kyra, after tracking you down through the galaxy for years. How am I supposed to know that you're going to come back?" He questioned, fear becoming prominent in his expression as he looked into Kyra's eyes.

Somehow, in that moment, Kyra knew exactly what her answer would be. Without even speaking a word, she leaned in close to Poe, going up on her tiptoes to try and reach his height. She cupped her hands around his face and kissed him, all of her own fear and worry igniting into a soft and passionate kiss.

The world seemed to melt away for the two of them in that moment, the chaotic hustle and bustle of the Resistance fading into a soft roar in the background. All that mattered was the two of them in that moment, BB-8's surprised and embarrassed beeps going unheard as the two were locked in a kiss. It was just the two of them, the feelings that had gone unsaid and unspoken for years finally bubbling to the surface.

Pulling away from Poe, there was a smile on Kyra's face as she watched him stand there, absolutely star struck and shocked about what had just occurred to him. "Because-" Her grin grew even wider, joy flooding through every bone in her body as she spoke, Kyra feeling a warm and upbeat flutter in her chest. "We have to finish this conversation."

A huge grin was on Poe's face as his hands were still cupped on her face, the placement feeling natural. "You can't just leave me with that, Space Girl." He chuckled, a light pink blush forming on his own face as his heart began to beat with joy in harmony with Kyra's. "That means I have to come back."

"Exactly." Kyra laughed, the man finally understanding why she had done it. "Now there's no excuse for either of us to not come back here." She stated, taking in his eyes and his smiling expression one more time before dropping her hands from his face, a devilish grin coming back onto her face. "Good luck out there, Dameron. Don't miss."

"I won't." Poe grinned back, watching as Kyra turned around to face away from him, walking towards the Falcon. Giving an almost longing sigh, Poe looked down at his droid, who looked slightly scarred by the event that had just occurred in front of him. "C'mon BB-8, we gotta get up into the air."

Good. BB-8 seemed to sigh in relief as he rolled back to where he would be stored within the X-Wing so that he could help co-pilot Poe. I don't know how much longer I could stand you and Kyra making out and looking at each other like that.

"Yeah, well, I just hope she makes it back. Kyra's made it this far with the Resistance." Poe muttered, taking his helmet from the crate he had left in on, tucking it under his arm as he stared out at the takeoff site. The last he saw was Kyra turn around one last time to grin at him before she walked to the Falcon's landing site.

Kyra couldn't wipe the stupid smile off of her face. There was an inexplicable feeling of joy inside of her that bounced with every step that she took towards the Millennium Falcon, seeing Han and Chewie prepping the Falcon for its run to Starkiller Base. She assumed that Finn was already inside the ship, his absence one of the first things that she noted when she walked up to the landing bay.

There was a knowing look and a smile on Han's face as he watched Kyra walk up to him on the ship, Leia walking away from the Millenium Falcon at that exact moment. The young woman didn't question what the general had been doing over there at the exact moment, and she figured it was best not to ask. Still- that knowing smirk on Han's face caused Kyra to ask a different question. "Han, what are you looking at?"

"I see you found your Resistance pilot." Han grinned cheekily at Kyra, who gave him a playful eye roll and a smack on the shoulder as she walked into the Falcon. The sight of Kyra happy was something that made the smuggler happy- he would much rather see the kid like this than how rattled she had been when the Hosnian System was destroyed.

"Are we leaving or not?" Kyra questioned, an unamused look plastered all over her face. "I thought this was an important Resistance mission, not a time to start making fun of your crewmembers." She rolled her eyes once again, turning out of the doorway into the Falcon.

"There's time to stop and do both." Han cheekily stated as he stepped onto the Falcon, Chewie trailing behind him. The vibration of their footsteps was the only indication to Kyra that they were behind her, the woman focused on the task at hand. "Especially considering that you just kissed him."

"What?" Finn jumped out of where he was sitting at the chess table. He stared at the three new people on board the ship, analyzing each of their expressions. When his eyes landed on Kyra, there was a guilty smile on her face- and Finn was a little bit floored. "You did what now?"

"Can we please just go already?" Kyra begged, feeling a little bit embarrassed as she continued to walk down the Falcon's hallways, eventually nearing the cockpit. "I really don't want to talk about this right now when we have a mission to complete." She yelled back at the three men who were now all standing tightly in a circle, gossipping about what Han had seen like a bunch of young schoolgirls.

"She kissed that Resistance pilot- what was his name?" Han questioned, looking over at Chewbacca, who roared a quick response out to him. "Poe, right." He leaned in closer to Finn as he spoke, keeping a careful eye on the cockpit to make sure that Kyra didn't hear him. "It looked pretty long overdue from the looks of it. I'd bet ten credits that they'll be together if we make it out alive."

"Bet you ten that they already are." Finn whispered back, holding out his hand to shake with Han's to finalize the bet. There was a quick pause as the man considered the deal, the two of them giving a fast and firm shake on the deal before they heard a groan from Kyra up in the cockpit.

"Are you three done yet?" She droned impatiently, tapping the hilt of the lightsaber against one of the chairs of the Falcon, careful not to activate the device. "We have to get going." Kyra reminded the trio, her head snaking around to watch the three file into the seats of the Millenium Falcon with hidden grins on their faces. "Took you long enough."

In that moment, Kyra decided not to question what the three had been scheming about behind her back. Instead, she decided to sit back in the seat behind the pilot, where Han was now prepping the Falcon for flight, and soak it all in one last time.

She was prepared to risk it all to destroy that base- even if it meant her downfall.

The steady roar of the Falcon's engines soon calmed the woman, Kyra falling asleep for a small amount of time as the quiet hums lulled her to sleep. Her small amount of slumber was quickly ended a couple of minutes later when Finn shook her awake, the bright blue lights of hyperspace greeting her. "Han said they're going over the plan. We need you awake for this, Kai."

Kyra rubbed her eyes sleepily, giving a small grunt of acknowledgement as she stretched herself out of the sleepy state she was in, attempting to somewhat get ready for the mission that was coming up ahead. They had to sneak onto a base that she had lived on for years- without getting caught. And that was just the beginning of it.

Climbing out of her seat, Kyra followed Finn into the main part of the Falcon, where Chewbacca and Han were already waiting for them. "Great. You woke her up." Han watched as the two walked into the room, his hands on his hips as he gave the both of them a once over. It seemed as if he had been in the middle of a conversation with Chewbacca before the two of them showed up, discussing something that the two of them had talked about with Leia earlier. "Means we can get down to business."

"Which is what, exactly?" Kyra asked, jumping to the question that was on both her and Finn's mind before the ex-stormtrooper could say it. "That was the most sleep I've gotten in the past week, so you better have a good excuse as to why you woke me up."

"Well, for one, I need to know your game plan for when we get there. And two, I wanted to make sure that you were awake and running for what we're about to do next." Han winced, already hating the idea of what was going to become of his ship.

"Well, if I told you all the entirety of the plan, you wouldn't like it." Kyra warned, not really wanting to disclose the entirety of her plan to Han and Chewbacca. With what Finn had planned with her- on top of her own little secret mission on Star Killer base- she knew that they wouldn't like it. "And what is this about what's coming next"?"

"Uh, well-" The loud beeping from the cockpit interrupted their conversation, Han scrambling to the front of the ship. Chewie quickly followed, Finn and Kyra sharing a look before deciding to go after the two of them. "Great. Perfect timing." Han muttered, sitting back down in his pilot seat in the Millenium Falcon.

"Solo, spit it out." Kyra warned, leaning over his seat in the ship as she watched him fidget with different buttons on the ship. "If we're doing something dangerous and completely reckless, I figure it'd be good to know before we all go down with the Falcon."

"Well-" Han gave a weary look as he turned back around to Kyra, who already wore a heavy sigh on her face. "You know that the shields around the base have a fractional refresh rate." He saw the look from Kyra that told him that information was obvious, the girl gesturing for him to continue. "They keep anything travelling slower from lightspeed from getting through."

"Oh my god, you've gotta be kriffing kidding me!" Kyra exclaimed, falling back into her seat with an exasperated sigh. She knew what this meant- they were going into the Star Killer base and would probably escape with no ship at all.

"We're making our landing approach at lightspeed?!" Finn exclaimed, a little behind in the conversation. He gave a quick look over to Kyra as if to ask if Han was crazy, to which he got another groan from Kyra, the young woman pinching the bridge of her nose in exasperation.

"This better be worth it." She grumbled, squeezing her eyes shut in hopes that not watching the landing would somehow make it better. "I don't know if it really matters to you, but I would like to at least get onto this base in one piece."

Ignoring Kyra's complaints, Han gave a quick look over to his co-pilot, Chewbacca, and held his hand over the lever that would take them out of lightspeed. "Alright Chewie, get ready." The man hesitated, waiting for all of the signs to indicate that everything was ready to go. "And now!"

The ship was suddenly thrust out of lightspeed, the jarring movement shaking all of the four members aboard the Millennium Falcon. Suddenly, all that could be seen out of the viewing window of the ship were deep forest trees, the ship plowing through them at a steady pace.

Inside of her mind, Kyra was swearing up a storm, in reality clenching onto Han's seat in front of her, hoping to whatever was out there in the galaxy that they would survive. All she could hear or see was the crashing sounds of the forest trees as they collided with the Falcon, the young woman squeezing her eyes shut. She really didn't want to see this.

There was a deafening roar from Chewbacca as they continued to soar super low through the trees, the view indicating that there was nothing good coming. "I am pulling up, Chewie!" Han fired back at whatever Chewbacca was yelling at him, the man glancing at all of the alarms that were blaring before looking back out at the view from his window. "I get any higher, and they'll see us!"

After what seemed like an eternity, the Falcon finally skidded to a stop in the snow, barely landing before toppling over a cliff. The whole ship seemed to sway a little bit at the harsh landing, and Kyra rubbed her head with a groan.

"Could've stuck the landing a little better." The girl noted, climbing out of her seat with a wince. "I think you just made me hit every bruised spot in my body over again." Kyra complained, stretching out her back with a satisfying crack.

"Well, we don't really have time to complain at the moment." Han grumbled, shutting down the Falcon rather quickly, crawling out of the cockpit quickly. "We have to get these shields down and disabled- so get your winter coats on and get the hell out there."

A couple of minutes later, the scrappy gang of heroes were out in the freezing snow of the planet, Han and Finn both bundled up in warmer coats to suit the weather. Kyra was still in her same outfit, already accustomed to the cold weather of the planet in normal attire. Chewbacca stood just behind her, giving a small roar as they continued to trek through the snow.

"He wants to know how you're going to lower the shields, kid." Han yelled out through the snow at the young woman. Kyra was leading the way, Finn trailing close behind her as they walked through the terrain of the planet to get to the spot she wanted.

"I'm afraid I'm going to have to keep that to myself." Kyra yelled back at him, not wanting to reveal her source on how she was going to lower the shields. She didn't know how to herself, but she knew someone who did. If she could just find them- Kyra would be in business.

"Do you know how to disable the shields, either of you?" Han started to question the two ex-First Order members, seeing the two of them continue to walk ahead of him and Chewbacca. "I'm starting to believe that neither of you know what you're doing here, exactly. And you know a lot, Kyra."

"What is your game plan here, Kai?" Finn reciprocated the question, walking side by side with her. "I know that we planned to rescue Rey while we're in here, but I at least thought you'd know how to lower the shields. If we don't know how to-"

"We're going to do both of those things, trust me." Kyra tried to reassure Finn, giving him a small look that told the young man to trust her. "I just have my own agenda and game plan for when we get in there. You just have to trust the plan that we made before we came here to sneak in, okay?"

"You didn't answer my question, kid." Han interrupted their conversation, making the two of them stop dead in their tracks. "Do you know how to disable the shields? Because you know that the Resistance is relying on us. Poe is-"

"I know." Kyra sighed, turning around to see Han's concerned face meet hers. "Please, Han, just trust in the plan I have going. Through Finn's knowledge of the flooding tunnels, we'll be able to get in easily. From that point on, I just need a stormtrooper commlink and we're set."

The sky seemed to get a few shades darker as they continued to talk, Kyra sighing as she turned back around, hearing the muttering that Han was doing to Chewie about what the hell this plan of hers was. Finn seemed nervous beside her, the two of them continuing the trek in silence.

It only took a couple of minutes to reach the flooding tunnels, transports to the main part of the base running to and from that area of the planet. It didn't take very long for the group to find an empty transport and sneak onto the base, blaster's aimed at the ready for when there would inevitably be a stormtrooper on the other side.

As the transport slid into place, the familiar locking sound ringing in Kyra's ears, she watched as the door whooshed open, a stormtrooper getting ready to board standing right in front of her. It took a few mere seconds for the woman to disable the stormtrooper, ducking quickly to sweep her right leg to take out his balance. She watched as he fell to the floor with a groan, using the side of her blaster to knock him unconscious from within the helmet.

"See?" Kyra bent down to observe where the communications link was grasped inside of the trooper's hand, carefully unraveling his hand to take the commlink from him. Giving a look back at Han, Chewie, and Finn, Kyra turned back to face the hallway of the base, all of her hair falling to her right shoulder in a cascade of deep brown. "That wasn't so hard."

"The longer we're here, the less luck we're going to have." Han grumbled, throwing his winter coat into the transport that they were abandoning, Finn holding onto his- just in case. "Kyra, what are you doing about the shields?" He asked, carefully eyeing each side of the hallway.

"Working on it." Kyra bit back a snarky comeback, gesturing for all of them to be quiet as she pressed into the commlink, the familiar beeping sound activating like a sound of hope. "We have a Code 7836 down in Sector D, can I have the designated trooper respond accordingly." She spoke harshly into the comm, sounding like a rather authoritative figure in the First Order, a cool tone familiar with the one that people would assume someone with the callsign of Solani would have.

"Code 7836?" A voice on the commlink questioned back, someone on the channel answering the call. "There is no protocol for a-" The person continued, a confused tone evident in their voice as Kyra shut her eyes, hoping that the person she was sending the signal out to would hear it.

"Responding to the call right away, ma'am." Another voice interrupted the comm, a smile of relief coming to Kyra's face. She pressed the commlink to her forehead, never more grateful in that moment to hear a voice through the First Order's commlink.

"What's Code 7836?" Finn questioned Kyra, never having heard that numerical order inside of the base before. "That doesn't sound like any type of situation that I've heard before." He pointed out to Kyra, who gave a small sigh.

"Maybe not to you." Kyra fired back at Finn, gesturing with her blaster for Han and Chewbacca to be on the opposite pillar of the hallway that she was squeezed against, the young woman watching as a patrol of stormtroopers passed by them. Kyra held her breath as they passed, none of them realizing that there were Resistance members hiding right in front of their eyes. "But to someone here it does."

Finn gave her a strange look, confusion evident in his face as he tried to scan Kyra's expressions. He wasn't sure what the hell she was going on about. Turning his head back around to Han and Chewie, he saw the smuggler give a shrug that said that he was just as in the dark as he was in that moment. "Well, we better know what the hell it means soon otherwise we're going to be wiped out on this floor." He hissed, earning a whack from Kyra's blaster.

Waiting until she could no longer hear the footsteps of the stormtrooper patrol on the linoleum floor, Kyra gave another sigh of relief, stepping out into the hallway with a careful look to her right, making sure that there was no one coming. Her blaster was gripped tight in her hand, her heart pounding in that moment.

"Kyra!" Finn tried to warn the young woman, watching as a lone stormtrooper came towards the Resistance members on the left. If any of them were found out- their mission to disable the shields and find Rey would be over. Not to mention their lives. "Kyra-"

"I thought Silas and I taught you better than to try and hide between the pillars of the hallways." A familiar voice ran in Kyra's ears, the young woman whirling around to see a lone trooper standing before her. "As a matter of fact, I thought I always told you to check left flank before right, Princess." There was a familiar hiss of a helmet being removed as Kyra watched Fox carelessly throw it to the side, the young woman smiling with delight.

"Fox." Kyra whispered, joyfully, squeezing the man into a hug, Finn, Chewie, and Han all sharing confused looks as she hugged a trooper. Breaking away from the quick embrace, Kyra turned to explain the situation to her friends. "This is Fox- FN-4236. He's one of the troopers that's actually helped me get information to the Resistance. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't know how to pilot a ship- or be alive at this exact moment."

"Princess, huh?" Han scoffed, getting an amused laugh out of the nickname. "Suppose that nickname didn't come from the fact of you being an actual one, did it?" He lowered his blaster, trusting the man that Kyra was latched onto.

"Nope. She passed out on me and our other trooper friend, Silas, one day and totally fell to the ground like how I imagine a princess would faint." Fox smugly spoke, earning a playful punch in the arm from Kyra. "Although you are telling me whatever the hell that means when we get out of here. Which brings me to the next question- what the hell are you doing here?"

"They're charging the weapon again, I assume you know that much." Kyra stated the obvious, getting a nod from Fox to continue. "They're targeting my home system, and the Resistance sent me and these idiots to come and disable the shields."

"One of these idiots being Han Solo." Fox looked across the way at the man that he had only heard legends about in passing with Kyra, the two of them often discussing the Rebellion and what life was like before the First Order. "Interesting. And you need to disable the shields, why?"

"We're blowing this damn facility to kingdom come." Kyra spoke, a determination lighting up in her eyes, a fiery spirit lighting a spark inside of Fox. "That's why I need you to help me. My clearance codes don't work anymore- I tried them on our way in and they didn't work. Finn had to use his, but he doesn't have high enough clearance to get in and disable the shields. You do."

"And you want me to disable them." Fox clarified, seeing a grin grow wider on Kyra's face. A smile began to grow on his face too, realizing that he could stick it to the First Order- something he had been dying to do ever since he had to watch as he was torn away from the two people he considered to be his family in the First Order. "Well, what are we waiting for?"

The group quickly ran through the hallway, the transport that they had taken dropping them not too far from where the Control Access Point within the base was. Fox was able to quickly open the door, Kyra trailing right behind him as she cleaned up the people inside of the access point so they wouldn't be a problem when the Resistance attacked. There seemed to be more stormtroopers inside of the Access Point than she had initially anticipated- which concerned Kyra.

Were they expecting the Resistance to come and find them, or was this all just an overcautious overseer?

Fox ran up to the different hologram screens inside of the room, the young man trying to comprehend everything that he was looking at before taking action and starting to type away at the keys that would help shut down the shields. It took Fox a few mere seconds for him to walk up to the control panel, reading all of the different holograms before pressing a ton of different buttons, red lights flashing back at him when he did so. "And..." He trailed off, pressing a few more buttons on the control panel to cover his tracks within the coding. "Shields are down."

"Great." Kyra sighed with relief, looking over at Finn, who was standing in the doorway with an anxious look on his face. "Please Poe, destroy this thing and make it out of this alive." She whispered to herself, clearing her throat to address the entire group. "Now we find Rey, and we get the hell out of here." She told the crew of people around her, Han giving a small sigh as she spoke.

"I knew that there was an ulterior motive for the two of you to get onto the base." He grinned, placing his hands on his hips as he stared at Kyra and Fox, watching as Kyra helped the man take off the rest of his stormtrooper armor. "For you, it's your friend Fox here. And for you-" Han looked over at Finn, who was staring back at him. "It's Rey."

"You got us." Kyra grinned back at Han, removing the last piece of the trooper armor from Fox, the girl glancing over at Finn. "Finn, toss me that jacket you have, will ya?" She asked, her response a jacket getting thrown in her face. Kyra caught it in a rather ungraceful manner, handing it over to Fox so that he could have some clothing other than the black long sleeve and pants troopers wore under their armor.

"I see you've made a lot of friends within the Resistance while I've been stuck here." Fox remarked cheekily, seeing his friend adjust the jacket that he had just thrown on, making sure everything was perfect. "And you helped rescue another trooper. I recognize his face- it's been plastered everywhere internally. Along with yours, of course."

"Well, you gotta help where you can, you know?" Kyra muttered, tapping Fox's chest as a way of telling him that she deemed him okay to go back out into the base. "I figured that if I couldn't help you and Silas escape, might as well help another trooper. Although that was more Poe's doing."

"Poe, eh?" Fox quirked an eyebrow at Kyra, seeing the young woman glow up with a blush and a sense of joy when she brought up his name. "We must have a lot to catch up on then." He remarked, Kyra handing him one of her blasters that she had kept tucked away, his eyes landing on the lightsaber that stood by her side.

That was another thing he had to ask about later as well.

"Well, if we're ever going to get out of here and find Rey, we gotta get moving." Finn looked down at Fox and Kyra, who were having a conversation of their own. "Let's move out into the hallways. We can make our way to the prison sector from there."

"I would be so sure of that- Finn, is it?" Fox questioned the young man, seeing a nod of confirmation come from the other ex-trooper. "Nice. I like it." He remarked quickly, acknowledging Kyra's naming skills before moving on. "There's been reports of a prisoner escape- all hangars are going on lockdown. And if I'd have to assume anything- it's probably that girl you're looking after that escaped."

"That leaves more ground for us to cover." Han muttered, now considering the fact that Rey was somewhere inside of this base- and now it was going to be even harder. "Well, we have a place to start. Let's sweep the hallways and see if we can find any trace of her."

"Agreed." Kyra chimed in, gesturing for Fox to follow her as she climbed up the stairs that led down to the Control Access Point. She gripped her blaster tightly, waiting for Finn, Han, and Chewie to turn around and move into a hallway. "Which way should we go first?" She questioned, all five of them now in the hallway.

"Right." Finn made a decision, the group heading down the hallway, blasters drawn as they stuck close to the walls. They were soon met with a dead end, a pane of glass separating the hallway from a hangar, another door to their left. "We'll use the charges Chewie has to blow that blast door. I'll go in and draw fire, but I'm going to need cover."

"You sure you're up for this?" Han muttered, turning so his gaze would fall upon Finn, the window in the background somewhat noticeable as he watched something start to crawl up one of the walls on the other side of the base.

"Hell no. I'll go in and try to find Rey. The troopers will be in on our trail. We have to be ready for that. There's an access tunnel that leads..." Finn started to explain to Han, the young man watching as Han kept gesturing his head slightly at Finn, the ex trooper confused at his gesture. "Why are you doing that? Hmm? Why are you doing this?" Finn repeated the gesture, Kyra giving a sigh from behind him, Fox trying to hold back in laughter. "I'm trying to come up with a plan."

"Finn, behind you." Kyra tried to stifle her laughter, pointing with a free hand to the window behind him. Finn turned to see Rey climbing up the side of the base, a blaster on her back as she continued to scale the walls on the other side.

"Well shit." Finn exclaimed, walking towards the window. There was a sense of joy evident in his voice, laughter slowly coming out of him for a moment before he realized his big mistake. Turning back around to face Han, Chewie, Kyra, and Fox, there was a question on Finn's mind. "How the hell do we get over there?"

"Don't worry." Fox and Kyra both spoke at the same time, a soft smile coming to Kyra's face as she looked up at Fox. There were some things that would never change- and this was one of them. It was one of the things that she had missed so much when she had been rescued from the First Order by the Resistance, but now? Now she had it back- and everything was going according to plan.

All they had to do now was get their final friend back.

"We know a way."
