TAOLG 4.

I should've told her I loved him. I should have just told her the truth. But damn me because I didn't.

"You do?" I blinked several times. Tatia and I sat in my bed again, discussing Danny, after I had had a good cry.

Tatia's cheeks had an unusual blush to it. "Yes. And I was so jealous to see you two so close. I was jealous that you got to be with him."

I raised one of my eyebrow. I was definitely not accepting it. "Whoah!" was all I could get out.

"You'll help, won't you?"

"Yeah, yeah. Of course," I hurriedly spoke as yet again, I made my way out.

Tatia Hendrix wasn't my biological sister. She was adopted when I was six. My parents really loved children, and decided they wanted another one. But Tatia doesn't know. Infact, no one does, except me and my parents. And thus, I had a soft spot for her. I couldn't really say hurtful words to her. Maybe it was out of pity that she was adopted or I don't know otherwise. Tatia had been the sweet sister to me, not the cruel kind. And I definitely couldn't hurt her. Neither could I hurt Danny. And here comes the dilema.

The next day, I saw Danny impatiently waiting for me near my locker. He looked dumbly gorgeous, nibbling on his finger, sporting a pair of denim and a deep blue shirt. Blue was my favourite.

Seeing me, he sighed in relief. I gave him a feeble smile, knowing what was coming. "Did you ask her?" was what he greeted me with. No 'good morning', no hi or hello. Just 'did you ask her'. My stomach seized.

I couldn't look him in the eye when I answered, "Uh, ye-yeah. I-I did." I took my books from my locker.

"Really?" he beamed, "What did she say?" Danny's eagerness to know about Tatia rather than me, his best friend, was killing me. Slowly, and steadily. I bit my lip hard, keeping me from crying.

"Yeah, she likes you too," I said, slamming the locker door shut. And I was so glad that the bell for the first class rang right after.
