These little guys are a Semi-open species.
You can make one of your own, and then the rest you claim you have to adopt, trade, or win. ^^
And please PLEASE credit me in the species!!!
A simple tag in the chapter is all I ask ^^

Heres the info...
I'll give ya a list of what's possible, how rare it is, and if its impossible.

Arixies are reptilian like creatures that, instead of having scales, fur, or feathers, have smooth, almost silky skin. They are fast and agile. These little guys can be virtually any color! They also hatch from eggs!

Feet
They almost Always have 3 claws

Head/Body
They can have patterns along their body and on their face.
None - Common
Squares - Common
Triangles - Uncommon
Spots - Uncommon
Hearts - Rare
Stripe (ribbon like, it runs along the back) - Legendary
Multiple - Impossible

Mouth
Sharp, canine like teeth fill this creatures mouth.
Teeth can regenerate like a shark
Their tongues may vary
Long - Common
Short - Common
Forked - Uncommon
Skinny long - Rare
Skinny short - Rare
Human - Legendary
No tongue - Legendary
Two tongues - Impossible

Eyes
Almost always Jet Black
NEVER ANY PUPILS
Can be -
Gray - Rare
Pure white - Rare
Solid color - Legendary
Pupils - Impossible

Tails
They are raptor like tails
No Extra - Common
No Tail - Uncommon
Fluff/Fur - Uncommon
Spikes - Rare
Rounded Spikes - Rare
Feathers - Legendary
Multiple - Impossible

Now, there can be mutations, but those are more rare than legendary. Here are some of the possibilities ~

More than 4 limbs - extra legs, or can sometimes have arms

Two tails - If this occurs, they both have the same extra (like, tail spikes or fluff). No mixing!

Third eye - A very good thing to have. If this occurs the Arixy can have future seeing, and/or mind reading. The rarest of anything to get.

Venomous fangs - self explanatory XD. The venom though, is so strong, that with one bite, it can kill a full grown elephant. They retract like a snakes

Split crest - This is the least rare, but it is still very rare. Not much comes with this, but it symbolizes power, strength, and wisdom.

More than 3 claws - This can cause the Arixies feet to be too big, and it's has disadvantages, like, unable to climb trees easily. But, it also allows the Arixy to run faster because of their bigger feet and more claws.

Metallic skin - Their skin can have a shiny tint to it, that look like small metal flakes on a car! The sparkles are always sliver.

Prehensile Tail - Their tail can grab, hold, or hang on things like a monkey. 

Spine Spikes - Like a dragon, they have spikes on their back!

Here's some info on baby Arixys

These little babies hatch from eggs.
Their heads are almost full/ adult size when first hatched.
They have very little, to no extras on their tails or designs on their faces. They grow into those, and they start appearing around a month of age. Their claws are also small along with their body.
Since their heads are so big while hatchlings, they cannot support their weight, and they tend to fall over alot for the first about 4-5 months of their life.
They are almost fully grown at one year of age.

Here is how the would be sized according to gender ~

Height (ground to tip of crest, full grown)
Males - 4-5 feet tall
Females - 5-6 feet tall

Oh! Did I forget to mention that like spiders and snakes, the females of this species are bigger!

Weight (full grown)
Males - 150-200 pounds
Females - 170-230 pounds

Length (from nose to tail, full grown)
Males - 10-12 feet long
Females - 12-15 feet long
