Leafa looked at the stars while reaching her hand out to them. It was a dark wispy night with the wind curling up next to the group. Steven looked at his imaginary watch.

"Hey guys wanna come over to eat?" Steven asked getting up. Connie smiled her usual cheery smile.

"Ok Steven! Come on Leafa!" She agreed ordering Leafa to follow. Leafa sighed playfully and jumped up while Spirita began to run ahead. They walked to Steven's "house".

"I see you brought home C- Steven what did we say about Leafa? Also the white haired one is blind! How did she walk here?" Pearl said panicking. Spirita glared at her.

"For your info I am NOT blind! Also my name is Spirita learn it, love it, and keep it in your triangle head," Spirita sassed. Pearl gasped in anger. Garnett looked at them.

"Pearl let it go... We could use their help anyways" Garnett ordered. Steven looked at her.

"With what?" Steven asked. Amethyst grinned.

"There was a ton of monsters on our mission and we need help to kill t-" Amethyst began.

"Put them in a crystal ball to be kept safe and sound!" Pearl snarled. Amethyst rolled her eyes and stepped on Pearl's foot. Pearl yelped. Leafa, Connie, and Spirita shared a look.

"But my cousin and her friends aren't gems! Neither am I!" Connie announced with a worried look. Garnett patted her head.

"It doesn't matter. They can be bait. If we don't do this mission the world is in danger! Connie, you'll be in a safe place with Steven" Garnett announced. Spirita looked enraged. Suddenly a light shone from her back. Everyone looked at her. Before anything could happen Leafa slapped Spirita on the back and she fell down.

"Let's go before these kids have to go home..." Pearl mumbled. Garnett opened the portal and they went through. Monsters suddenly surrounded them growling and hissing. Garnett grabbed Connie and Steven and began to dig a hole. She put them in there before getting her weapon (gloves) out.

"Now be a decoy and try not to get hit!" Amethyst snickered playfully. The girls widened their eyes.

"WE CANT DO THAT!" They lied screaming. The gems ignored beginning to fight. Leafa glared at them.

"Fine you wanna play like that-"

"We will play like that..." Spirita continued. Leafa tapped her feet and discs appeared in her hands. Spirita put her arms around her back as duel swords came out and she grabbed them. Steven glanced out the hole to see the weapons in their hands.

"Gem weapons..." He mumbled. Connie screamed.

"STEVEN WATCH OUT!" She screamed. A monster looked at them and smiled. At Least that's what it looked like. It spat acid at Steven. Steven covered his eyes in horror.

"Steven!" A voice yelled. Steven opened one eye. A girl with blue wavy hair and wings was in front of him using her water powers to block the acid.

"LAPIS!" Steven yelled in excitement. Lapis nodded.

"How could those stupid gems leave you here!" Lapis hissed.

"We gotta save Leafa and Spirita! They don't know how to use gem weapons! They're only human beings!" Steven yelled. Lapis flinched looking him in the eye.

"They are gems..." She whispered. Steven gasped with his eyes wide open. A scream raised from the fight and their heads whipped around to see Leafa on the floor lifeless. Connie screamed.

"COUSIN!" She screamed running out the hole to grab her sister. Her sister's body disappeared and turned into a leaf. Spirita rushed down to Connie. A monster aimed at them and began to fire. Spirita quickly grabbed Connie and the Leaf and began to run.

"WHY ARE YOU OUT OF THE HOLE!" Spirita asked aggressively. Connie whimpered in fear. Spirita sighed looking at the leaf. Spirita's eyes widened and she coughed up blood. Connie looked at her and her eyes widened in horror. Spirita had been shot. With her last few breaths and strength she threw Connie at the hole where Steven and Lapis were. Spirita fell to the ground soon turning into a mini grave. The monsters disappeared. Pearl sang and cheered.

"Sacrifices! Sacrifices!" She sang. Garnett punished her and signaled her hands to Connie. Connie was devastated and balling her eyes. Her cousin was gone and the girl that saved her life was gone. She held the two objects close. Pearl looked at the objects and only felt worse. Suddenly the ground begun to shake tremendously. Everyone hung on tight except Lapis and Connie. The ground started moving downwards into a secret base. It looked ancient but beautiful. Everyone wowed. People were everywhere.

"Gems..."
