"Did he give any warning of this ever happening?" I ask, trying to find out any motivation that leads to this.

"Well, when he first found out that David was creating a robot, he didn't believe him. But when he finally did, he told David that he was betraying him, and since then they haven't talked." Luke explains.

"What do you mean betrayed him?" I ask, but before Luke can answer, we arrive at the place where Liam is.

"Look, I doubt he's going to want to see you, and I know he's not going to want to answer a lot of questions. So make sure the things you ask are important, and you only ask what you need to know." Luke warns before we enter the heavily guarded room.

The minute Liam sees us, he reluctantly sighs and glares at me.

"Liam, 004 is here to see you-"

"I know who she is!" He hisses back at Luke, who immediately steps back, and motions for me to step forward.

"I have a few questions I want answers for," I say as I pull over a chair. He rolls his eyes and buries his head in his hands.

"What do you people want!?" He moans, still hiding in his hands.

"First of all, what provoked you, into...shooting David." My voice cracks when I say his name and I try to hide it.

"Because he betrayed me." His voice shifts and I can tell he's getting angrier, "He stole my victory from me. I deserved to win!" His voice is getting louder and louder and he begins to stand.

"Liam, calm down-" Luke tries but it only makes him angrier.

"Shut up!" He smashes his fist into Luke, sending him crashing to the floor.

"What do you mean, betrayed you? You were just another competitor to him, why does it make a difference?" I persist.

"You really don't have any idea of what's going on, do you?" He starts to laughs, suddenly the room starts to fade away, everything gets blurry and the last thing I see is Liam. I wake up in a jolt, realizing I was dreaming, most of everything. I'm still outside of the workrooms, and I can still see the engineers working on the robot. But I never met Liam or Luke.

A doctor rushes around the corner and nearly runs into me she's going so fast. "Is everything okay?" I ask. She looks shaky and out of breath.

After a moment of hesitation, she finally says, "David...he's dead."
