Olivia woke up in a daze, her mind still reeling from the mind-wiping ceremony that had taken place before her arrival in the Arcanum Grove. The room around her was sterile and unfamiliar, the air heavy with the scent of antiseptic. She blinked, trying to make sense of her surroundings but her head was pounding. Memories flickered like distant stars in her mind, teasing her with fragments of the past.
She struggled to recall her own name, her identity feeling distant and elusive. Her gaze fell upon a mirror hanging on the wall, and she caught a glimpse of her reflection. Her eyes, once filled with a spark of curiosity and determination, now held a glimmer of confusion and a tinge of sadness. She walked up to the mirror and placed her hand on it, as she tried to piece together the remnants of her memories, a nurse entered the room. The nurse looked at her, "Good morning Olivia," the nurse greeted her softly.
"How are you feeling?" Olivia hesitated for a moment, searching for words that seemed just out of reach. "I... I'm not sure," she finally replied, her voice barely a whisper. "So my name is Olivia.." the nurse nodded, "Yes it is..", "Why do I feel... disconnected, like there's something missing..like I didn't know my own name.."
The nurse looked at her. "It's completely normal to feel that way after a mind-wiping procedure. Your memories will take time to resurface. But don't worry, we're here to support you in your recovery." Olivia took a deep breath, her hands trembling slightly. "Why was my mind wiped.." the nurse was silent to her first question.
"Also can you tell me anything? Anything about who I was... who I am? Other than my name is Olivia." The nurse's eyes filled with worry. "I'm afraid I don't have access to your personal information as Mr. Dovan has those, Olivia. But I can assure you that you're not alone. There are others who have gone through similar experiences, and together, we'll help you rediscover."
With a mix of hope and confusion, Olivia nodded. She knew that reclaiming her memories to know her answers wouldn't be easy, but the burning desire to uncover her true self propelled her forward. "I am also here to take you to the courtyard..it is mandatory that I take you there.." Olivia looked at the nurse and nodded.
As the nurse took Olivia out of her room and to the courtyard she looked around her surroundings. There were computer screens lined up along the wall and file cabinets in every corner she looked at, and when she reached out to the courtyard there were lots of people but only a few looked her way. She walked around and looked around, "Excuse me," Olivia turned her head, catching the gaze of the attention of a group.
"I couldn't help but notice you seem...lost..different..and seem to wonder why you're here?" A young woman with green blonde hair stared at Olivia. "We were just thinking the same thing..," she said. "My name is Isabelle or so they call me that, and these are my friends, Victoria, Samuel, and Penople." Samuel, a tall and thoughtful-looking man, nodded in greeting, while Victoria, a vibrant and energetic woman, waved cheerfully. Penople, a calm and composed individual, offered a friendly smile.
Olivia head tilted, "I'm Olivia," she introduced herself, a glimmer of hope shining in her eyes. "Well welcome to the Arcane Organization..Olivia." Penople eyes sparkled with understanding. "Olivia, we've all been there questioning why..but nobody truly knows why.," she said. "Look you guys may be young but me and Victoria have been here for a long time searching for our missing pieces since we were both in our twenties." Samuel said as Victoria looked at them, "But together, we've found just to support one another..."
Victoria chimed in, her voice filled with sweetness. "How about you guys, Penople and Isabelle, how long have you been here.." they looked at Olivia. "The same time I believe..she was my roommate..and so far we've uncovered hidden clues, shared stories, and offered each other guidance. And let me tell you, there's nothing more empowering than connecting with others who share a similar journey."
Isabelle spoke in a calm and reassuring tone. "Together, we can navigate the twists and turns, unravel the mysteries, and discover the truth about this organization..I heard there's a rumor..", "Rumors are rumors..none are true.."
