Ok. So a little backstory:
Blythe's mum, Anastasia is a hopeless romantic. When guys flirt with her, she falls in love. All her relationship ended up in pregnancy and abandonment. Anastasia's eldest child is named Dionysus Aeneas Dynara, Hella long, I know. The next Child she conceives is Blythe. Next was Markus Iobe Dynara, then Achilles Cupid Dynara, then Rosaline Ophelia Dynara, and the youngest is Juliet Cordelia Dynara.
Blythe was named Blythe because her father wanted her to be named after his first love. Her father is a dick and a slut, so he abandoned Blythe, her mother and siblings. Anastasia would always cry and sob about her children. She is extremely overprotective over them.
All the siblings were aware they are all suffering and knew they had to move to live. Dionysus, Blythe, and Markus being the three eldest at the time. Dionysus was sixteen, Blythe was eleven, while Markus was ten. While the 9 year old Achilles and 5 years old Rosaline was taking care of their pregnant mother. Dionysus, Blythe and Markus took numerous odd jobs from houses to houses until five years. When Dionysus was twenty one, he was recruited as a guard of the palace. And so he left and sent money to his remaining siblings, since their mother is dead.
When their mother died, they found out that Anastasia left them with a hell lot of debts to pay. It was millions.
The Dynara siblings were confused because they lived in a life with poverty all their life, but found out that their mother gave them to Blythe's father because he needed them. They were all understandably mad that they don't know who Blythe's father is. With no other choice, Blythe was forced to flee to another country at the age of sixteen to study medicine, when she met Julian. They became fast friends, but she is often busy with school work and never really got into too much touch with Julian.
Her time at medical school she theorised that bloodletting is useless and dangerous, but was force to forfeit her research by her school officials and Valdemar. Reasons they told her? Because it was sadistic for her to test it on herself. But one thing for sure, she knows that they forfeited her research because they want to earn money by using the wrong treatment. She wanted to continue, but they threatened to cut her arm off. So she stopped.
She graduated at the age of twenty and was licensed as a Doctor and was taken by Valdemar. She was with them for numerous occasions, like accompanying Valdemar to battlefields, the arena of battle (idk what is the collesium's spelling, fml), being the physician of the courtiers, the Count and Countess.
By the point of this time, she always had her head concealed with a white, tight fitting hood around her head and wore a mouth cover that covers her nose and mouth. A symbol that she is an apprentice of Valdemar to imitate their attire.
A war broke and Achilles and Dionysus were fighting for Vesuvia under Lucio. They died. Not because of the opposing group, but under Lucio. Achilles, Dionysus and some of the soldiers that agreed with him interject on one of the questionable strategy of Lucio, when the two brothers received a punishment by burning. The soldiers that supported them wasn't sentenced to death, but was subjected into four hours torture.
What was Lucio's plan? He randomly chose Blythe as a bait to the opposing team and act like a crazy woman to lure them out. Dionysus and Achilles defended Blythe and suggested another plan because they can't lose any more subordinates. Lucio is a bitch, I know. The baiting plan was changed because Valdemar managed to convince Lucio not to bait their apprentice. And so they came up with another plan.
Blythe was horribly depressed and spent her time healing those tortured soldiers while she hid her untreated depression from everyone. Julian was the first one to notice and began to console Blythe when he accidentally read her journal. He didn't knew she had any siblings in the war, but once he found out, he randomly hugged the girl from behind while she was preparing herself.
Then there's the time where Lucio was bleeding to death. Valdemar was absent, leaving Blythe incharge of taking care of Lucio. Blythe wanted Lucio to suffer for the time being, trying to 'figure out' what she needed to do, when Julian suggested to amputate Lucio's arm. With no other choice, the group of the surviving medics amputates Lucio's arm.
After the war, she went home to her other siblings, whom she haven't seen for years. She discovered that Markus was practicing magic, Rosaline was now working as a maid in the palace and Juliet just stayed home to take care of the house, occasionally selling fruits and vegetables in the market. When Blythe told them about the death of their brothers, they all cried. As much as they wanted to take their bodies for a funeral, nothing was left of them but dusts. Although, Blythe kept Dionysus' and Achilles' pocket watches. It was broken, but she still kept them for sentiment. She stayed with them for a few weeks and had to go back to the palace because duties.
Then Nopal begged Lucio for help when a giant red beetle was in their domain. Lucio and his army went there. And again, both Julian and Blythe, and other doctors were there to be Doctors, duh. When Lucio eliminated the gigantic red beetle, it began to dissolve into smaller red beetles and spread across the place. Lucio called it a day, before the army retrieved back to Vesuvia.
Then the red plague spread to Vesuvia, when one of the soldiers came back with a strange disease. Valdemar and Blythe took it to the palace underground dungeon and studied the soldier, experimenting in him while he was alive. Blythe was extremely hesitant, but always told herself it was for good. When the soldier finally died, they sliced his stomach open and saw a red, alive but almost dead specimen living in his abdomen.
By this time, the red plague spread and the Count caught it. He was then forced to sponsor every doctors, unlicensed or not to find the cure. Then healers, then magician's. Blythe, Julian and Asra were assigned to have the same office, when Blythe was taken by Valdemar to be their 'study colleague' instead.
When people of Vesuvia began dropping like flies, Lucio was forced to build a place for the red plague affected people in Lazaret and Blythe was devastated at that fact because the Doctors can't do anything to save them.
At some time, the Doctors were taken in the underground dungeon to study about the plague while the other non doctors stayed above the palace. She know that everything was getting worse when some Doctors were locked up inside of cells because they had the plague.
Lucio, wanting his cure, force fed Julian and some other doctors with the beetle and locked them up the cells for the infected Doctors to keep them motivated. Julian was the last to survive, while other force fed doctors did not. At some point, Blythe was assigned to bring Julian's meals and update him about the whereabouts of the plague. She didn't knew she was force fed until she herself was force fed and thrown in the cell by Lucio, just the day before the masquerade party.
Blythe never experienced any symptoms yet, but will feel it sooner or later. Once the pain of the plague started, she attempted to commit suicide at the night of the ball by hanging, but the rope wasn't sturdy and ended up falling and blacking out instead of dying. Julian didn't notice until he heard her fall on the floor. He was screaming and all, but receives no answer.
Then Julian makes a fucken deal with the Hanged man. When he got out of his cell, he opened Blythe's and found her lying on the floor, with a noose around her neck and a bleeding head. He heals Blythe's injury, tales the noose of her neck, and plague while she was unconscious and flees. For some reasons, her memory of her having the plague disappears and as well as the fact she was force fed by Lucio.
Next morning, she woke up in a bed and began to work as if nothing happen, when it was announced that Lucio was dead and Julian was to be hanged. She was understandably distraught and started having her own investigation about the murder, while simultaneously trying to find the cure of the plague for Vesuvia.
At some point there was a person courting Blythe. A homicide detective named Lucien Beau took a liking to Blythe after she reported a scene of a murder, calmly and not frantic. Now, all Lucien's life, he was always irritated that when someone reports a murder to him they always panic. When Lucien asked why Blythe did not panicked, she just said that she was a Doctor, before leaving the scene and case to him. Wanting to find more about Blythe, Lucien researched about Blythe and found out she is the Countess' Physician. When a party was held (Nope, not a masquerade) he attended in hopes to see her.
He then began to fall in love with Blythe during the ball after she danced and conversed with him for a few hours before Blythe left. They exchanged addresses and began to write to each other. A few exchanges of letter, a few meet ups, a few gifts later, he confessed to her and asked her to be his lover. She rejected him. She was aware of his feelings, but she just didn't felt the same. She was too busy solving the murder. He was hurt, but he was still going to wait for her. Then a few months later, he found another woman to pursue and cut ties with Blythe.
Blythe was hurt that he no longer pays attention to her just because she rejected him, but respected him for it and cut ties with him as well.
At some point, she treated a family's patriarch's plague. A happy family of five lived. She got to know his children, the matriarch of the family and learned a lot of stories from them. The mother confided in her that she was scared of her husband dying from the plague, when Blythe promised to heal him. She was treating him for weeks until she found out he was her father when he deliriously confessed that he still owned millions of dept to a woman whom he impregnated and left them for good. When she asked what was the name of that woman, he said: Anastasia Dynara and chuckled about the fact that Blythe and Anastasia shared last names. Blythe was so mad, but she kept it inside. But what did she do? Well, she prescribed him Lily of the Valley with his tea every day. She basically prescribed him with poison and he followed that until he died. When he died, Blythe never felt a single ounce of guilt.
She cut ties with the family and ignored them ever since. That what she was feeling at first, but she was getting guilty day by day. When she confessed to her siblings, they hugged her and told her that what she did was wrong. And that was the last time they spoke of it and kept it as a secret.
She began investigating with another fellow Doctor, Doctor Lancelot Barden, who witnessed no one at the scene of the murder, because he was the tasked Doctor to take care of Lucio. He told her that he made sure the door was locked and that no windows were opened. They began on working with theories.
Blythe then found out that Lancelot was a half brother to Achilles when Lance told her about her father impregnated an underaged girl when his father was a teenager. Blythe never spoke about their connection and just continued working with them because it was his father's fault, not Lance's.
Three years later, the apprentice offered help to find Lucio's murder. Blythe rejects them to have her own investigation with her own companion and carried on. Day by day, she grew to be more silent and menacing as Valdemar, but not quite. She was just like a dull doll. Devoid of any emotions around people and preferred to be more silent, unlike her old self where she always smiles. She just grew... Tired. Tired, but needed to find out what happened.
Theeeeeen Julian came. Funny story of how they met: he, being Julian, broke into the Dynara household. He had no idea where Blythe lived, and no idea that the house he broke in was a house of Dynara's, where he was slightly beat and battered. He was treated by the youngest Dynara who is now fifteen, Juliet. At first Juliet thought he was a burglar and whacked him with a pillow so hard he knocked his head on the wall and almost blacked out. When Juliet noticed the state he was in, she immediately apologized and offered him something to drink and began treating his wounds. They both got to know each other, despite Juliet knows who he is, when Blythe just got home and she went to slap some senses into him because duh, he disappeared.
But Blythe forgave him and told him what she knows: He didn't murder the Count but he fucken admitted it even if he didn't. He was pushing her away, but she keeps coming back like: "Surprise bitch, I bet you thought you'd see the last of me." Julian finally accepts her help, but only if Blythe works with the apprentice. Blythe was like, "Ugh, fine." But she was still distant from the apprentice and just tells them what she knows.
Julian thought Blythe hated the apprentice, only to find out of what Blythe had turn into. A wary woman who distanced herself away from people. He learned that she strayed away from people because she thought she was breaking those who were with her or maybe she didn't wanted to be betrayed.
Then cue the night he broke in the palace to surrender, Blythe wanted to throw him in the fountain so badly that time. Then the trial where Blythe and Lancelot stood as another defender to Julian because they refused to work with the apprentice and they had their own theory. They theorised that the Count Thotticus' death was accidental.
Aaaaand that is all for now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
