Calypso was laying there in her bra and panties, contemplating things. I was also only wearing a bra and panties, but I had a flannel on over my underthings.

"A pebble for your thoughts?" I asked. Calypso held out her hand and I gave her the smooth little pebble.

"Would the twins have been colorful if we gave birth to them instead of stealing them from Heaven?" Calypso asked, messing with the pebble I gave her.

"Well, we could put them back in the Before Life Nursery and wait and see." I shrugged.

"Also-have they aged at all? We found them when their bodies were like that of 5 month olds. They haven't aged since. It's been almost seven months. That's unnatural with a capital U."

"Oh my god, you're right." I said, dazed at the very thought. "Where the fuck did you get these thoughts?"

"I don't know. I think we should put the twins back for a little while." Calypso said, putting her hand on my knee. I nodded, sad but knowing that it might be the right thing to do. Calypso smiled at me after sitting up. "Is the Nursery still intact?"

"We had to fix it up a bit with the help of Aziraphale and Crowley, but yes, it's intact." I told her.

"Good. Do you want me to come with you to drop them off?" Calypso asked softly, cupping my cheek as she smiled reassuringly at me.

"Yeah." I said sadly as a tear ran down my cheek.

"And then do you wanna hang out with me for a few days?" Calypso asked, her voice going all soft and loving.

"Yeah..."

"Okay. You can hang out with me in the candy shop or we can go help with fixing Heaven some more. And maybe we can get some frogs, like you wanted."

I smiled, nodding a little bit. Calypso kissed my forehead gently before laying down on her side. I took off the flannel and laid down next to her, tucking us under the covers. I snuggled up to her, planting little kisses on her neck and shoulder.

We had been married for around a week now. Calypso was probably the most relaxed I'd ever seen her. She was asleep in minutes, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

"Alright, Ben and Ash. Say goodbye to your baby siblings." Calypso said.

"When will they be back?" Ben asked, his big brown eyes staring up at me and Cal. Cal looked up at me and we had a short discussion through thoughts.

A year? I asked.

Maybe a year. Calypso replied, nodding. We'll have to discuss it further.

I nodded. "You'll see them in about a year or so, kids. It's... extremely complicated." I told them.

Ben and Ash nodded, waving goodbye to the twins. Calypso and I went out to the car, loading the babies in and getting in the front seat. Calypso started to cry in the front passenger seat.

I rushed to comfort her, panicking slightly as she broke down. I really wasn't used to seeing her crying.

"Baby? Are you good?" I asked, rubbing her back, holding her gently.

"I don't wanna say goodbye to them. I love them." Calypso mumbled through her tears in a high voice(you know, that hard to understand blubbering voice that some people have while crying).

"I know, baby...I knoowww. Everything will turn out okay because they are ours, we don't have to worry about them being stolen by someone else." I cooed, wiping her tears away before kissing her cheek and starting the car and speeding down the highway. I pulled up to the Nursery and got out of the car. "Baby, you wanna do it?" I asked, Calypso nodded, getting out of the car and getting the twins. We went into the Nursery together and found the crib that I took them out of, putting them carefully down in it. The clothes and diapers burnt off all at once and the two went back into their position curled together. I cupped my hand around her shoulder, kissing her pretty little face as she watched the twins sleep.

"Can I be the one to give birth to them?" Calypso asked as we went back home. I nodded, smiling over at her.

"Yes. We're going to have to do our research first though. We might talk to your parents about options for this, because they're the ones who have more than one shared brain cell." I chuckled, stopping at the grocery store. "Let's get some of the chocolate your candy store doesn't sell and some ingredients for dinner tonight."
