(Y/n)'s POV
"Emperor Vader, welcome, we weren't expecting you back so soon." A man rushed to him with a bow the moment we stepped inside of the building. The interior was beautiful; there was velvet red carpet that surrounded the floors, white pillars with hints of gold that shined if the light hit it just right, and a grand staircase that broke off into two separate directions.
Vader waved him off with an annoyed sigh, "I don't wish for pleasantries Captain Needa, just go have a room near mine set up for her." He gestured to me with a nod, the man eyed me up and down for a moment with a glint of excitement in his eyes, before turning back to Vader. The way he looked at me made me a little nervous so I looked down to my slightly exposed cleavage and I zipped it up higher. I didn't realize the zipper had gone down. And the way he eyed me kind of reminded me of—never mind, it's something I'd rather not think about.
"Of course sir, right away." He went to turn around, but Vader gripped him by the arm and spun him around. The mans facial expression twisted into one of fear when he looked up into Vader's menacing golden eyes.
"Look at her like that again and I'll gouge out your fucking eyes Captain Needa." He threatened the man in a growl and my eyes widened from his sudden hostility, "Apologize for making her uncomfortable." He gripped the mans face and turned it roughly to face me. How did he know it made me uncomfortable?
Captain Needa's eyes were slightly watery as he gazed into mine, "I'm sorry."
I nodded slowly, "It's okay." I shifted my gaze up to Vader, he was scowling down at the man. He pushed him away and Needa fell to the floor.
Vader sighed as he turned his attention back to me, "Sorry you had to see that, but I will warn you that it won't be the last time, people here have a habit of getting on my nerves. Come with me." He gestured for me to follow him and I quickly did, feeling a new sense of fear? towards this man.

"This room used to be used for Jedi training," He informed me as he led me into a big room where he closed the door behind us, "You can take this off now." He grabbed the mask and gently unhooked it from my ears before setting it down on a small table against the wall. I breathed-in the somewhat fresh air after having the mask removed.
He removed his hood, showing me his sandy blonde hair. Then he dropped the cloak he had onto the floor, "Why don't you remove yours?" I asked when I realized he was keeping his mask on.
He shook his head, "In due time," He walked backwards, creating a distance between us, "Come closer, but maintain a ten feet distance." He instructed; I did as he said and stopped when I was around ten feet away, "Alright, I want to see exactly how much you know. And to make this more motivating, every time you do something to my liking; I will answer one question. I'm sure you have plenty."
Understatement of the century. I nodded, "Okay, sounds fair." I couldn't have asked for a better deal. I was already mapping out my questions in my head.
He raised his hand and a small ball from a rack flew into his grasp, then he held it out to me while it balanced on his palm, "Take it from me." He instructed.
I felt a wave of excitement right now, this was amazing for me, amazing to be around someone who was like me. Someone who wanted me to use my abilities. I was no longer being sheltered or treated as an outcast.
I nodded and held my hand out towards the ball; it flew into my grasp almost immediately. Easy enough, I used to do this all the time in my room on Tatooine, "Why are your eyes yellow?" I asked as I threw the ball in the air and caught it again with a smile on my face.
"It's what happens when you're affiliated with the dark side of the force." He answered my question and much to my annoyance; it created even more questions.
"There are different sides?" I asked in a confused tone.
"Ah ah ah," He wiggled his finger as he shook his head, "I said one question each." He stepped closer to me and pointed to the end of the room, "Do you see that table over there?" He asked and I turned my head to the direction that he was pointing at. I nodded when my eyes landed on the metal table in the distance, "Lift it up two feet, hold it for a moment, then drop it back down gently." He spoke like it was a simple task, which I'm sure it was for someone like him.
I turned to completely face the table and held my hand out, I've only ever done something like this once before. It was when Watto had asked me to do it, he dropped a piece of a droid and it rolled under a dresser. I was able to lift it, but only for a second or two, I nearly dropped it on him.. on accident of course.
I focused on the table and it was a little more difficult, but I was able to do what he asked of me after a few moments of struggling. "Good, and yes there are two sides. The dark side and the light side." He answered the question before I was able to ask it again, "One second," He held a finger up to me and my eyes followed him curiously as he walked to the door, he opened it and walked out. Soon, three troops walked in and they lined up a few feet in front of me. Vader moved to my side after coming in behind them, "You two, move." He waved his hand and two of the troops stumbled away so only one remained, "Watch me." He instructed. I nodded with intrigue as he lifted his hand and a wave of energy shot out of his palm; throwing the soldier back a couple of feet, "Its called a force push, focus and manipulate the force that is in front of you to create the push. It's a defensive technique that will prove to be beneficial in battle. Try it. " He gestured for another soldier to stand in front of us, while the other one limped away, poor guy.
I looked up to Vader with nervous eyes, "I've never done anything like this before." I didn't even know this was possible, all I've ever done is lift a few things here and there. What if I'm not strong enough to do something like this?
He moved so he stood behind me and he placed his hands on my shoulders, "I know you can do it, I can feel how strong you are," He lowered himself so his covered lips were near my right ear, "Just focus, think of the force as your own personal slave," He whispered softly as he moved to my other ear, one of his hands gripped the side of my neck as he whispered again; causing my heart rate to pick up, "It bends to your every will (y/n), you own it. Concentrate on your emotions, use that anger that I can feel inside of you, it will make you stronger, I promise." I shivered at the contact, he's right I can do this, "Good girl." He removed his touch and backed away from me.
My skin felt cold where his hands used to be, but I shook it off.
I raised my hand and channeled my emotions just as he said, I imagined Watto and the customers he'd offer me to. The next thing I knew, the trooper was thrown back against the far wall, "Oh god, is he okay?" I asked with worry when I realized that he wasn't getting back up.
I was about to go to him when Vader gripped my arm and stopped me, "Who cares, he was made in a factory." He rolled his eyes as he released his grip, "You did better than I thought," He lifted a hand and gently rubbed my cheek with the back of his index finger, "I'll answer two questions." He pulled his hand away and held up two fingers. I smiled at him and turned my gaze to the soldier behind him, I hope I didn't hurt him too bad, I didn't mean to, "Stop worrying about him and look at me." He demanded and I instantly snapped my attention back to him, he had a hint of annoyance in his eyes, "Ask your questions." His voice was less soft and more stern.
I nodded as I swallowed nervously and pushed the injured soldier out of my mind, "You said this used to be the Jedi Temple, well what happened to them?" I heard of the Jedi purge from a pilot once, but I was never able to get the full story since Watto pulled me away to do something for him.
"I killed them all." He revealed nonchalantly and my jaw dropped while my eyes widened.
It was him?
"Why?" I asked with a shaky and surprised tone. He killed all of them? How could one man accomplish that and why would he do something so terrible?
Who exactly did I sell my soul to?
He stepped forward to close the distance between us as he stared down at me with a cold expression, "The Jedi are not like the ones you've heard stories about. They were corrupt, they were liars, they were traitors. The code they lived by was nothing but a bunch of bullshit that kept even the best Jedi in chains. Believe me when I say that being a Jedi was no better than being a slave." He snapped and I jumped due to his hostile tone, even though I knew the anger wasn't directed towards me, but to them.
I was having a difficult time wrapping my brain around all of this information. But from the amount of hatred I can feel off of him, they must have wronged him a great deal, but there was one thing stuck in my mind. One thing I had to ask, "What about Anakin Skywalker?" I questioned him about my dear friends son. She would be devastated if something happened to him, if she's even alive. She used to write to me, secretly, Watto never knew, but eventually the letters stopped not that long after she left.
He visibly stiffened when I said that name, "Why does he concern you?" He asked in the same angry tone.
"He's Shmi's son," I responded, "I never met him, but from the hundreds of stories she told me, I feel like I've known him for years." It actually makes me sad to think about him being dead.
His posture softened a little and he shook his head as he backed away from me, "The whereabouts of Anakin Skywalker is one conversation that is way too soon for us to have."
I stood closer, feeling hopeful, "But he's alive?"
He stared down at me for a moment before responding, "From a certain point of view I suppose."
I furrowed my brows together as I gave him a confused look, that didn't make any sense to me, "What does that even mean—"
"Enough," He cut me off, "Let's continue."

I walked alone along the halls of the palace with my mask on. I found it to be rather uncomfortable, but he was very strict about me keeping it on. I took this free time after the long training session to roam around this place.
I still couldn't believe that I was free from Tatooine, from Watto. I stopped by a window and gazed at the city, although I couldn't remember what the city was called. I watched as speeders flew past and I was becoming mesmerized by the amount of life I saw.
My conversations with Vader were playing in my head on repeat and I couldn't help but think about his revelation that it was him who killed the Jedi. Were they really as corrupt as he says they were? It's not like I can ask them either; I only have his word to go by and the anger he felt. Which was still lingering on me, his emotions were powerful.
He had told me that us force sensitives can feel each others emotions. I sighed as I leaned my head on the window. The longer I'm here, the more about this mystery man I learn. Well not really mystery anymore, he's the Emperor of the galaxy; I still don't know how he managed that.
I have so much to learn.
Despite his obvious scary demeanor I love being here, I love the training that I'm getting, and I still feel this sense of gratitude and loyalty towards him for freeing me. Not only that, but I did pledge myself to him, I won't be able to go back from that. I'm just nervous and curious as to where this path is taking me, will I be dark like him? Is that something I would be okay with? In truth, I don't know. I spent so long as a slave, I hardly had my own identity, I still have no idea who I am. But I'm hoping my time here will help me figure that out.
"Who are you?" A male voice came from behind me and I turned around to see a man with a curious look on his face.
"I'm-" I paused, Vader never said if I was allowed to give my name or not, "A guest of the Emperor."
"Oh," He formed an o with his mouth as he nodded, "You're one of his guests, well you shouldn't be over here then, come on." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me in a specific direction. I eyed his grasp on me with irritation as he dragged me down the hallway. I had this thing about being touched, I hated it, absolutely hated it—for personal reasons.
Except when Vader did it in the training room, I felt oddly safe around him. He did say that he would never harm me the way Watto did and I believed him.
He knocked on a door, "That was fast." Vader mumbled as he opened it. He stared down at us with a confused expression. I on the other hand was more focused on his bare chest, dear god. No, I shouldn't be looking like this. I looked away and to his eyes quickly before he caught me, "What do you want?" He asked then his gaze shifted to the mans hand on my wrist, "Do not touch her." He growled as he gripped his wrist and pulled it away from mine.
"Sorry sir," The man spoke in a panic, "She said she was your guest, so I thought she was lost." Vader let go of the man with an annoyed groan.
"She's not that kind of guest." He folded his arms and just then, two troopers came up next to us.
"You called for a clean up sir?" One of them spoke through his helmet.
Vader nodded and moved to the side, "In there, get it out quickly, I'm sick of looking at it." He rolled his eyes and the two men went inside. After what only felt like a few seconds, they dragged out a nude Zeltron woman who's head hung to the side in an awkward position.
"Is she-" I began, but Vader cut me off.
"Dead? Yes." He responded nonchalantly.
I looked up from the body that was now a good distance away, and up to him, "You killed her; why?"
He shrugged as he leaned in his doorway, "She served her purpose." My jaw dropped even lower when I realized what he meant. He then glanced over to the man who was still standing there; terrified, "She is your superior," He pointed at me as he continued to glare angrily at the man, "If you or anyone lays a single finger on her again, you'll have me to deal with." He threatened and the man nodded quickly to show he understood, "Good, now get out of my sight. Your appearance is as sickening as that Zeltron." He eyed the man with disgust, he quickly ran away.
"You killed that woman after sleeping with her?" I asked in disbelief.
His eyes shot back to me and he nodded with a shrug, "What can I say, it adds to the high." He chuckled through his mask.
I looked up to Vader's eyes with surprise,"I had no idea I was signing myself up to be the apprentice of a murderer." I spoke without thinking.
His eyes darkened as he stepped closer to me and soon my back was pressed against the wall of the hallway. He lowered himself so he was at my eye level, "It's a shame that you can no longer change your mind." He brought his hand up and removed my mask, his eyes trailed every inch of my face, "You're mine now."
🤍
Rewrite notes: I'm not changing the story entirely just giving it a gooood edit and taking out anything that makes me cringe. I wrote this story when I was new to writing so a lot of it is... not my best work. There will be some difference! I may take the ending in a different direction, we shall see 🥰
