(y/n)'s POV
"What are we still doing here?" I asked Vader in a confused tone as he lowered the ramp down and I was met with the sandy planet once again, "I could have sworn I felt the ship move."
He chuckled, "It did move, we just came a little ways over, I have another one of your requests to cross off."
"Which one?" I questioned in curiosity, we already did number one; 1.Kill Jabba the Hutt. And we did number two; 2.Free the slaves. Well at least I hope number two is done, if that little shit from the palace keeps his word.
He held his hand out for me, "Come on, I'll show you." I accepted it and he led me out of the ship, "Stay on the ship boys, there's no threat here." He informed our clones and they all nodded before going back to their conversations.
As soon as we stepped off of the ship, a little house came into view, "Where are we?"
"We're crossing off number four." He informed me in a low tone and my eyes widened with joy.
4. Help me find Shmi Skywalker.
"She's in the house?" I asked with excitement. How did he even know where she was? I was too excited to even ask as I began to rush forward, but he grabbed my arm to stop me.
I gave him an annoyed look and he shook his head, "She's not in the house (y/n)." He responded and If I didn't know any better, I could swear there was sadness in his voice. He began to pull on my arm and I stayed quiet as he walked me over to a.. oh, "It's been almost five years." He informed me as he let go of my arm and I gazed down at the hunk of cement sticking out of the ground.
Shmi Skywalker
Mother, Wife, and Friend.
I dropped down in front of the headstone, "How did you know she was here?" I asked as tears filled my eyes.
"Conversation for-"
"Another time," I finished for him with an eye roll, trying my hardest not to cry. I just destroyed an entire palace and murdered for revenge, I shouldn't be this weak, "Yeah I got it." I sighed as I ran my fingertips along the headstone, "I guess now I know why the letters stopped." I brought the sleeve to my robe up and wiped my tears away.
"I'm sorry." He bent down next to me and placed a hand on my shoulder, I turned to the side and pulled him into a hug so I could cry into his chest.
This was heartbreaking for me. This woman took care of me to the best of her ability; she fed me, she helped me, she clothed me, she taught me to not be afraid of myself, she took punishments from Watto just so I didn't have too. For six long years I had her by my side and now she's gone, really gone.
"Do you know how this happened?" I asked as I pulled away from his embrace.
He nodded, "She was taken and murdered by the sand people."
I felt anger flourish through my body at the mention of her killers, it raged me to know that she was murdered. A woman like her didn't deserve something like that, "I'm going to kill them." I stood up with balled fists.
He stood up as well and grabbed both of my wrists and held them to his chest to calm me down, "As much as I would love to see you burn down a village, they're already dead," He sighed as he looked to the floor, "Anakin Skywalker killed them."
My ears perked up at the mention of the name, "Is he how you knew she was here, did he tell you?" Instead of giving me a response, he only stared down at me with a blank expression. Why can't he just answer my questions, doesn't he trust me by now to tell me everything? I let out a deep sigh, "Can you at least tell me if he got to see her before she died?"
He nodded as he let go of my wrists, "Yes he did, he saw her at the very end. Held her. She wasn't alone."
I smiled slightly as I turned back to look at the headstone. I'm glad, "I wonder how he found her." He never did come back, at least not that I know of.
I could feel Vader's hands playing my hair. Something he's done to soothe me ever since I was laying in a hospital bed, fighting to live, "Watto told him."
I snapped my head up to look at him, "He returned? How did I-" I looked away from him, confused, "He was there and I never even saw him. How could I have missed him?" I asked rhetorically. I was genuinely confused, I was at that place every single day.
How the hell did I never see him if he really came back?
"I'm sure he's wondering the same thing about you." He spoke in a low mumble and I could barely make out what he said.
"What?" I questioned as I met his eyes once more.
He shook his head, "Nothing. Come on, we should go home, I can feel a sand storm coming." He broke away from my gaze and stared off into the distance. He was right, I could feel one coming too.
I looked down at the headstone one more time, I may have missed him, but it's good to know that she got to see her son one more time. I know it's the only thing she ever truly wanted, "Okay, I'm ready." I sighed as I looked back up to Vader. He nodded and placed a hand on my back to guide me back to the ship, "So that's one, two, and four." I informed him and he looked down at me with furrowed brows, probably wondering where I'm going with this, "Are we just going to ignore the fact that you completely skipped three." I teased him, only because a silly banter with him will be the only thing that could possibly make me feel better right now.
He rolled his eyes, "(y/n), I'm not getting you a dog."
3.Get me a Dog.
I sighed in frustration, "But they're so cute, please." I faced him and gave him my best pleading eyes.
Which didn't work for me in the slightest, "Over my dead fucking body." He responded sternly as we stepped onto the ramp and he pressed the button to lift it.
"Please, sometimes you're too busy for me and I get lonely. And you know what would help me not be lonely? A dog." I shrugged and he shot me an annoyed glare.
"Aw Apple wants a dog? That's cute." Echo walked over and leaned on my shoulder with his elbow, "You know what's good after a murder spree? Dog shopping." He joked and I let out a little laugh as Vader quickly walked away from me.
"Well Apple," He mocked the name that he didn't like, only because it was the clones who gave it to me, "Is not getting one." He sat in the pilot seat and began our liftoff, "Knowing you, you'll pick one of those little fucking annoying ones that never shut up. So drop it, my decision is final."
I groaned in defeat as I moved away from Echo, "Well I better at least get the other two things I asked for." I pouted as I sat down on the floor next to him and looked up to meet his gaze. He stared down at me for a moment without speaking and eventually lifted his eyes back to the window in front of us.
I decided to just leave it alone for now and I leaned my head to the side so it rested agaisnt his thigh. I closed my eyes to take a nap and I felt his gloved hand rest on the side of my covered face, "All in due time." He whispered.
💚
"Kneel." He instructed me as we stood inside of the training room, I didn't want an audience so the only ones present were a few of the clones. I knelt down, "You have surpassed every expectation that I had for you and I am so very proud of who you have become." He spoke with pride and I looked up to meet his eyes, they were squinted to show me that under that mask, he was smiling, "You have more than earned the title of a Sith Lady, so henceforth, you shall be known as Darth...Anya." The clones in the room clapped for me as I stood up to accept my new title.
(Anya is another word for Mother in Hungarian. And since Vader means Father in Dutch, I thought it was very fitting.)
- Also it's pronounced (On-Yuh) not (Anne-yuh)
-I'm sorry if some of you don't like it 🥺
"I'm still calling her Apple!" I heard one of the clones shout, no doubt it was Fives. He's too daring for his own good.
Vader shot him a glare but I quickly pulled him into a hug, he didn't even hesitate to hug me back, "I love it and thank you for everything, I had completely lost all hope until you came into my life." I whispered as I hugged him tighter, "I'll never be able to repay you."
"(y/n), you repay me just by being here with me now." He whispered back and it was his grip on me that tightened this time.
We finally broke apart and gazed into each other's eyes, he held that look again; a look I couldn't quite place, "So what now?"
"I think we should celebrate," He gripped my hips and pulled me closer, "We can do whatever you want, just not the last two things on your list. I'll get to those, pick something fresh."
I nodded as I thought for a moment, then I looked up to him with excited eyes, "There is one thing that I've never done."
💚
"Ew why does it smell like that." I scrunched my face as I moved the bottle away from my nostrils.
Vader chuckled as he took it from me, "It's alcohol (y/n) what did you expect it to smell like, candy?" He playfully rolled his eyes as he gestured for me to try it "Do not spit it out all over my bed sheets, take a small sip." He instructed me and I nodded.
"What's this called again?" I asked as I eyed the clear bottle.
"Tequila."
I took a deep breath and took a sip, the liquid hit my tongue and I had to keep from gagging and spitting it out like he warned. I quickly swallowed it and it burned as it went down. I coughed, "That was absolutely disgusting."
He shrugged, "Only at first, but eventually you won't even taste it, so take another one." He nodded toward the bottle and I took another deep breath to prepare myself.
A couple drinks in and he wasn't joking, I couldn't taste it all anymore, "Did you replace this with water?" I asked in a slur.
He chuckled and shook his head as he took the bottle from my grip, "No, but that's my cue to cut you off."
Vader's POV
I set the bottle down on the side of the bed. I glanced back up to her and she was smiling, it made me happy to see her this way. It's a big difference from when I met her for the first time, her eyes were filled with so much sadness and pain. I knew in that moment that I had to take her with me.
Plus it angered me that the whole time during our first meeting she kept thinking about what punishment Watto was going to give her. A sweet girl like her didn't deserve that.
"Congratulations, you're drunk for the first time." I smiled at her drunken state, it's a good thing she changed into a night gown before we started. I doubt I'd be able to change her and I'm sure she won't be able to stand and do it on her own.
She giggled, "There's two of you right now," She got on her knees and came closer to me on the bed, she towered over me by a few inches, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" She asked as she pressed her warm hands to my face and gazed down at me with her amber eyes.
I shook my head with an amused grin, "Probably not. Mind telling me what you're thinking?"
She nodded as she brought her lips to my ear, "We should do it."
I let out a loud laugh, "You're wasted." I dismissed her words as drunken rambles. Of course I've thought about that, heavens knows I've thought about it. She's perfect in every way, I'd be a fool not to want her legs wrapped me. Her hands in my hair. Her moans in my ear... I want her so fucking bad it consumes almost every thought.
But when a woman has been through what she's been through, she needs time to heal physically and emotionally. Her well-being outweighs any needs and desires I have.
"That may be true," She tried removing my mask, but I grabbed her wrist to stop her, "But that doesn't change the fact that I still want it. I want you. You said you'd teach me everything there is to be taught. Teach me to own my body. Teach me to take control again."
I brought her hand down, our eyes remaining in a stare down. It took so much in me not to rip her clothes off right now, "I'm not doing this with you drunk. Even I have my limitations."
"You say that," She rolled her eyes and pulled her arm from my grip, "But even when I'm sober it's you're not ready here, you're ready there and blah blah blah," She mocked me, using her hand to mimic a mouth speaking. I narrowed my eyes, "And then you hold me by the waist or play with my hair or you whisper sweet nothings into my ear knowing damn well what you're doing to me." She went into a full blown rant. "So next time, don't rev up the engine if you're not gonna take it for a fucking drive."
She downed more of the tequila and I snatched the bottle away from her, "Speak to me like that again and I'll—"
"Kill me?" She tilted her head, a smile creeping across her lips, "You won't." She was confident, so fucking confident. And the worst thing is, she was right.
I pointed my finger at her, "You're a bold drunk, and you've had enough." I threw the bottle behind me and it shattered against the wall. Neither of us flinched.
I'd be lying if I said this boldness of her wasn't a turn on.
"We'll talk about this again when you're sober, for now, you need go to sleep." I pushed her down so she would lay in the bed with her head on the pillow and I pulled the blanket to cover her, "Don't fucking fight me." I warned, covering her again after she tried tossing the blanket off of her.
She'll forget all about this tomorrow when she has her head in the toilet.
