I was still curious as ever about what that book as all about. Why Duncan seemed to get so angry at me whenever I mentioned it. But I took his words and respected my teachers wishes. So, many weeks later it was time.

"You good to go Kim?" He asked me as I walked over slowly, I looked at him and nodded, "a bit scared to be honest. So, no ones had a first time successful landing?" I asked him, he had told me his friends had tried this awhile back. But they never had a good landing.

He shook his head, "nope. Not one of them. But about the scared bit, I got you something." He then put his hand into his pocket and pulled out a gem. It was about the size of my palm, it glowed brightly the way the moon hit it.

"Its a sapphire," he said in his goofy voice, "Its for you. Like a good luck charm." I smiled softly and took it, "thanks." I said walking into the rocket. I held the gem in my hand tightly and got in, I was still scared. But less. I felt like i had a piece of him with me. Like a beating heart.

I started up the rocket and it soon lifted into the air, the thrill excited me. Soon enough I was In space, and I saw the moon. Our destination, I grinned and the shuttle proceeded to land. I closed my eyes, then heard the thrilling sound of the landing.

Suddenly I heard Duncan's voice over the face cam. "You did it!" i opened my eyes and was met by his face. "I....I did it. I'M ON THE FREAKING MOON!!!!!!!!!" I cheered leaping into the air. I laughed with excitement, And he laughed with me.

This was a great day. Suddenly another transmission came through, I saw Xephos's face and-

Sjin's.

"Hey! We saw your shuttle! Great job!" Xephos said smiling. This didn't make any sense. They nearly killed me in the last world. I looked at them puzzled. Sjin spoke up: "Where...sorry Kim-Nano. W-What should I call you?"

"Kim is fine." I said. He smiled, "Well, Kim. I was wondering...if you wanted to come back. To the farm. I could teach you all new things!" Duncan cut in quickly, jealous in his eyes. "I don't think she need's a teacher who will blow her up." Sjin growled.

"At least I didn't taint her with-with that flux! You have no idea how to cure her! Admit it!" he yelled. Duncan paused for a moment, "At least I gave her a chance. She's beatiful, with or without flux." With that he shut off his cam. Sjin sighed, "It's your choice Kim." He shut his off too.

I sigh and and sit down in a chair, "I can stay with Sjin or Duncan. I need to think this over."

What did Sjin give me that Duncan didn't? My first crush, my first basic knowledge of the world. My first heartbreak....

Okay, what about Duncan? Flux, a friend, a portal gun, jetpack.
