Kallus was able to grab a shuttle and sneak away for the time being. Once the ship landed on Lothal, he grabbed a speeder and went to Ryders hideout on the outskirts. Once out there he walked the rest of the way. As soon as he step towards the hideout, a blaster bolt hit the ground in front of him. "State your name and business." Ryder said. "It's me. Kallus. You Fulcrum." Kallus said. Ryder lowered his gun and slid down the rock he was on. He and Chopper approached Kallus. "What are you doing here?" Ryder asked. "I came for assistance." Kallus replied. Chopper made some beeps at him. "The crew was captured it was a trapped from Thrawn." He told the droid. Ryder gestured him to come with him and Kallus followed.

Kallus explained to Chopper and Ryder about what happened and about what Ezra told him why he joined the Empire. "Of course. It makes sense now. Just like his parents always ready to take a risk to protect people." Ryder said. Chopper made some beeps at Kallus. "Ezra told me to come get you. He said that there can be a way to either shut down the probes until they are out or put together a serum to destroy the probes while still in the organic body. If I can get you on the star destroyer, will you be able to do either or?" Kallus explained earning a nod from Chopper. "Good. Now all you need is a paint job." Kallus said.

Later

Kallus walked with Chopper back to his shuttle. No stormtroppers recognised Chopper with his imperial paint job. Chopper made a annoyed beep at Kallus. "Keep your voice down." Kallus told the droid. They entered the ship and it took off back to the star destroyer. Once docked, Kallus and Chopper walked out and headed down the hall. On the way they were pulled into a dark room. "It's okay it's me." Ezra said. Chopper did a few beeps and waving his hands in the air. "Chop! Keep your voice down someone might here. Yes I missed you too." Ezra said. "Now what?" Kallus asked. "There's a lab on the lower levels of the ship. Get Chopper there and he'll see if he can do something about the probes." Ezra explained. "Where are you going?" Kallus asked. "Thrawn told me to report to him. I'll try to keep him busy until then." Ezra said and Kallus nodded.

They were about to leave when Ezra stopped Chopper. "Listen Chop. After you're done, I want you to get the crew outta here." He told the droid. Chopper made some beeps in protest. "No Chop I can't come with you. The plan might fail and I might be a goner soon after. Besides the crew already hates me after what happened." Ezra told him looking down. Choppers beeps softened as he explained to Ezra what was going on after he left. "They were looking for me? And they were all sad about me leaving them?" Ezra asked earning a nod from Chopper.  "Even Sabine was the most hurt." Ezra said. "I know it's gonna be hard but someone is gonna have to keep Thrawn busy. Just do what I said please." Ezra said. Chopper nodded and walked out of the room.

Ezra was on his way to Thrawn. He entered the room where Thrawn was. He was sitting in a chair looking over Ezras fight with his crew. He turned his chair around and greeted Ezra. "Hello Ezra. Thank you for coming." He said. "What do you need?" Ezra asked in a angry tone. "I wanted to discuss your loyalty a bit more. He wanted to make sure you're really on our side." Thrawn told him. Then a door opened. Ezra looked to his left and saw Vader.
"Hello again my apprentice."
