I took a glance at my watch and sighed. 27 more minutes till I can finally cool down. Well until the signing with Ryan and Ray.
"Ay Lauren what time is it?" Ray questioned. I cleared my voice and tried to do my best impression of mister diddlez that I could.
"It's time to diddle, Ray."
"HAHAHAHAHA funny." Ray said sarcastically with disappointment written all over his face.
"Aww you love it really Ray! Nah we got 25 minutes left."
"26 if you wanna be precise!" Ryan butted in.
"RYAN THE PRECISE GUY!" Geoff yelled, his voice cracking in the middle.
"We'd better keep going guys," Jack stated, being the party pooper.
"That guy over there. Question. Go!"
"Uhh this questions for all of you. If you could be in any game what game would you be in?"
We each answered the question in a line, starting with Caleb on my side.
"Hmmm...uhhhhh...can't deny it'd have to be pokemon." I blurted out as quick as possible. As Gavin began to answer the question I felt a hand slide into mine, followed by a small velvet box. I opened it slowly to reveal a silver ring with a clear diamond in the center accompanied by two smaller sapphire blue crystals. My heart raced at a hundred miles an hour. Was this really happening? A single tear escaped my eye and I heard the four words I'd been longing to hear for the past year be whispered into my ear.
"Lauren Alex Ellie Burns, will you marry me?" Ryan asked me, silent enough for me to be the only one to hear it. My hands shook and I couldn't help but put my hands over my mouth as I nodded my head several times.
"Of course I bloody will you beautiful son of a bitch." I spoke to him between sniffs and tears. I giggled and grinned before promptly throwing my arms around him. I cried happy tears silently into his shoulder as he rubbed my back and allowed a few tears to run down his cheeks. I unwillingly released him from my grasp to allow him to set the extravagant engagement ring onto my ring finger.
"It's beautiful...isn't it my-"
"Your mothers. I asked Burnie for permission to use it as our engagement ring when I went for a meeting the other day since he had it." Before we were even able to digest the situation ourselves, we had the entire crowd staring at use, cameras, phones, everything out recording us. Even the achievement hunters were videoing us. A silence filled the hall as both me and Ryan stared into the audience like a deer caught in the headlights.
"CONGRATULATIONS YOU BEAUTIFUL BASTARDS!!!" Geoff shrieked at us whilst slapping Ryan on the back. A round of applause broke out through out the audience as I felt all of my blood run to my cheeks. I was happy, ecstatic even. But for the whole time, that dream I'd had in the night started playing itself in the back of my mind. Something was going to happen but I couldn't understand what...
This would have been the best day of my life so far if what is to happen next never happened...
